Honestly dude, I don't care how hard you worked on it. If your message is "maybe just be an asshole", I'm going to have to assume that you're only going to attract a certain kind of person who is probably also just an asshole. So cool, I guess, but if you're a dick to people by nature enough to instruct others to do it too, maybe you're just a fucking asshole, and maybe the time you put into that simply doesn't matter at all.

Follow trash advice, attract trash people... Whatever works for you though, I guess.

I believe that's more of a "just for the first date" suggestion. With regards to this sub, sure, but I was actually speaking a little more generally. If you can't discuss this with potential longer term partners after a few dates, then it probably isn't going anywhere anyway. If she brings it up she's okay with it so it's fair game I agree...this is a decent rule of thumb, but sometimes people bring things up expecting that you'll simply agree and move on. The big thing is to just practice readi…

As an American, I have no idea either. Hell, even the other ones seem strange to be "taboo" since they're so prevalent in life. The real problem seems to be that most people just don't seem to handle differences of opinion well at all. But you're right, the age thing is particularly odd.

But at the same time, you can't go overboard. Everyone has different boundaries, and this is about trying to navigate within those boundaries, wherever they happen to be set. Some women thrive on that, but not all. The biggest danger here is assuming that all women are exactly the same on everything like this, I think. I just don't think it's quite as "whiny little bitch" as you're making it out to be. ;)

Wouldn't that mean that it would simply be easier to employ what the OP is talking about? it doesn't mean it doesn't apply...it just means you shouldn't hesitate to bring this stuff up...no?

none of this applies to regular women. Would you mind elaborating?

There's two interesting things to learn about from this though...and while I think I agree that it's probably not the best way to learn, it's definitely a good thing to shift your frame of mind from time to time. The OP has two things going for him here... He's the one being approached and he knows that they are just there for one thing (as he mentioned), and he's being approached by people who do this for a living...which should give an interesting perspective by itself. I guess, I just think t…

Whooosh! I think you missed the point of the post... You should probably read past the first few sentences.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
