FIFO mine workers are a snakepit full of LVMs. The ones I have met won't clean under their fingernails and blow their money on jet skis, obnoxious utes and Bundy Rum, classical cashed up bogan. It irked me how much more they made to drive a truck than I did in a job with WAAAAAAY more responsibility. Thankfully no longer the case in my boss job. What a queen! My grandmother is similar. My also alcoholic, abusive grandfather died 10 years ago. I've watched her physical, mental and social health blossom! Sailed through a hip replacement, plays bowls and mah jong, volunteers in the local charity shop, has a gaggle of local octogenarian friends she meets regularly for coffee and cake. Takes trips to visit my mother and aunts whenever she wants, usually when the flights are cheap. Bloody hell, she's out and about more than I am!! 😂😂😂
