I've learned so much from this sub, and wish I had found it before I started the relationship that I just ended. However, now I have experiences to pull from, new standards, and more iron-clad boundaries, so not all is lost.

We had been together for a year, and just recently the mask slipped enough for me to see who he really is. I kept looking for patterns in behavior, kept hoping, kept excusing, because I wanted this relationship to work.

But, he began letting his mask slip. Kept pressuring me. Kept occupying all of my free time. Began blatantly disrespecting me over the past couple of weeks. It came to a head when he violated a boundary that I set, and when I called him out, he completely flew off the handle. He initiated the idea of a breakup, so I showed him who was boss and I ended it.

I loved this man. I really did. I was looking towards a future. I thought our relationship could make it...but I look back and I see much more clearly now. In the back of my head, I thought, I'm still vetting him. He wants me forever, but do I want him forever? If he fucks up, I will let him go. Keep vetting, girl.

He fucked up. Block and delete. Boy bye 👋

Now I get to spend all of my newfound free time leveling up 🙌 I ordered some books to read, gonna get a gym membership, gonna finally get some GOOD SLEEP. I'm very excited to see myself blossom into an absolute QUEEN!
