Any man with a "J" name is a blazing red flag

It’s just that unlike a hard science, you can’t repeat the same tests and get the exact same results because humans aren’t exactly the same, therefore they won’t act exactly the same in the same tests. So many men oust themselves when they dismiss the entire field because there's no equations in understanding social / societal structures.... It just shows how limited they are (and how they limit themselves) by their own lived experiences (rule number 15 to misogyny: the male experience is the de…

as a retired (read: drop out) social science academic............................... this irks me. A class I was in about research and data had an intro session discussing why gathering data from peoples collective lived experiences is valid and worthy of study and consideration. STEM scrotes go on about how social science is not rEaL because there's no numbers, so therefore no quantifiable data for it to be considered rEaL science. And yet academic scrotes also love Evolutionary Psychology, whi…

Ugh. How immature. Send him on his way, if he was interested he would have focused on you solely. Not your job to wait around while he fucks around, he's feigning incompetence (with his fEeLiNgS) to cover up the fact he's been straight up disrespectful of you and your time.

Facts, been hiking up a storm during covid, come across all kinds of animals (deer, snakes, bears) and yet... nothing gets my heart racing like seeing a man on the same trail as me.

I love my friends a lot but.... I do not envy or aspire to a relationship like theirs. They don't understand my standards, and are bewildered that I even have any. I get that they're worried I won't be "chosen" if I set the bar too high, mainly because their own partners wouldn't meet my standards and they low key take it personally.

This is honestly great advice, thank you. I am a pretty busy person as this year I made my interest/volunteering hobby a (second) job. I've met some generally pleasant men through the farming community, and hope I can run into one I'm actually attracted to eventually 😅 But in general, pursuing interests is a lot more rewarding than OLD, as it really is just seeing people out of context that you would never run into in your day-to-day.

I just needed to hear some one else say it bc it doesn't feel right! I don't have SM or anything so I don't know what kinds of pictures of themselves people normally include in their profiles. My close friends are almost all in long term relationships, and have been giving me really confusing "advice"

I somehow agree and yet I'm still open to hearing if anyone has found a way to maximize their benefit/returns. It was discussed on the FDS pod about building a scrotation (maybe?), but on the sub, apps have been widely written off. I totally get everyone's complaints since the return, if any, is generally never worth the effort.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/08/21 05:03 PM

I agree, I know its been discussed on the sub many times and have so many shit experiences of my own, but some how 6 months pass and I'm like well I might as well give it as shot! And then I am reminded of the utter cesspool of LVM and general scrotery that is OLD 😂

If rejecting a social norm that’s rooted in misogyny results in social ousting and shaming, the choice of opting out becomes more difficult or even impossible. The word “choice” then becomes a misnomer, because for those in a given society, most options are narrow and predefined by their respective power structure. FDS has really got me thinking long and hard about choice feminism lately

I absolutely do not regret deleting my socials. It was the right decision for me, as I just hated the idea that media of me would be easily accessible to others on demand, even on my private page. Also, some one here said something like men use insta like a dating app and its so true. I feel a lot more secure with myself since I don't have the anxiety of how I'm being "perceived" by random stalker scrotes. Letting go of the emptiness of parasocial relationships has also been refreshing, and has …

you end up paying for the bf's ticket for some reason even after the gf half heartedly insisted that he'd find a way back or go his own way elsewhere (back when he rode the bus before getting a car). This was definitely something I've experienced in my early twenties. I grateful most of my friends are pretty good about leaving their men at home, or at least dating men who have jobs, cars, and are baseline reliable. I'm only tolerating his presence bcs you love him lmao Even when they do ask, obviously I have to say yes because of what you said here ^ I hate being put in that situation though. I guess its totally okay for me to reply "I was really hoping to hang out just us two!" so I'll have to be practicing that boundary. My fave friends are the ones who instinctively know to send their man away so we can have a night in, and I don't even have to ask or worry about it. They're just never around when I am,…

idk about you guys but I make a point of never having to hang out with a friend and their bf. Not because of my friend being a pick-me like the person in this post, or because I'm bitter of their relationship, but because I don't want to hang out with them? Like their bfs are not my friend by extension. And I find it kind of a chore to be friendly w them, although I am.

Well here's the thing I don't think these women have considered- men will feign incompetence to get out of responsibilities. A LV/NVM man will purposely do things wrong, so that next time, you'll do it yourself instead of asking him to do it. Women think they need to hold their "incompetent" husbands hand, but they don't. They don't behave this way at work, or in planning a camping /fishing trip with their friends for example. They'll gladly perform and take on labour if it is to appeal to other…

Hey, I've kind of had this go on (sort of) with my NVXs brothers gf. Noticed the family was pulling the same shit with her as they did with me, and it only got worse for her after I left him. The best you can do is share your own experiences with her, relate to her, and support/validate her when shit inevitably hits the fan. You don't necessarily need to go out of your way to do this, as I'm sure she'll try to form a relationship with you/gain your approval / acceptance at some point. You defini…

Omg yesss I've been thinking about this a LOT. If he really wants to impress/court you, he will spend a considerable amount of time focusing on making you feel good, because he knows its a privilege to be with you! Remember- they want to have sex with US. We would rather not have sex than have shitty sex. They'll orgasm regardless if its "good" or not. Omg- this article turned positive real quick. Tears in my eyes as my hero women role models were listed. I always identified heavily with Rei Kawakubo, Erykah Badu, and Rihanna (even Coco Chanel before I learned she was a nazi sympathizer) These women have a staunch sense of independence and personal identity, that prevents their relationship from having major impact on how they interact with the world. edit: shout out to Björk

Yes 100%. He was using me since I had better credit, been in my job longer, and often times had no choice but to clean up after his messes or else be drowned, so I was forced to take on the role of the fiscally responsible half in the relationship. He was leeching off of me, despite having greater access to capital and was making more than me. this is wild to me... this is the exact proposition I had for my NVX who wanted to buy a home with his mommy's money ~gifted~ as the down payment (to which she also was pressuring me into co-signing). When I brought up the fact that I would be more comfortable paying rent in a tenant agreement, he blurted out "then you're just using me since I'm taking on all the risk" to which I was absolutely stunned. bruh western media is so pornofied. I recently started watching k dramas and realized how profoundly lacking western media is of romance. The focus is almost always sex. I actually can't remember the last time I watched english/western media play out a full on courtship or romance story line in full without cutting to sex way too soon, or a romance that wasn't something to do with hookup culture. edit: okay there was bridgerton but was that not also pornofied... just with a british accent

To be honest, I don't know a better place to ask for advice. To be fair, I'm not familiar with reddit outside of FDS. I don't have real solutions, but I figure there should be an automated response; maybe a resource compilation for support, and legal precedents. If you bring up a concern or a critique and some one is co-opting the conversation by reacting emotionally, they're not emotionally mature enough consider to your feelings. I've honestly tried it all, as I have a lot of emotionally immature people in my family. Best you can do is end the conversation and walk away, and not give them the space to use you as a dumping ground for their own feelings. edit: forgot some words

Any implicit or explicit comparison between your two families. When you suddenly feel like they are the better family to you than your own it's time to bail. You are already being brainwashed. It's true, women make up the majority of the service and healthcare workers, which was the most impacted job sector by the pandemic, however men some how managed to come out with raises. The wholesale mining of women’s (emotional/compassionate) labour is not sustainable. The only communication LVM/NVM understand is no contact. Proud of you for blocking him. It was really inevitable. You did what you had to do for yourself.

That's only if he isn't busy trying to deny your foot ever existed and you're making a big deal out of nothing. If he does in fact, acknowledge that you have a foot that happens to be bleeding (not his fault!!!) he will complain the entire ride to Walgreens, and that just so happens to be the day he drives the speed limit

I can't remember exactly how she said it, but basically a generalization that men just can't understand / won't understand and that I needed to just accept that. As if the pain of not being known/seen by your partner is a big so-what. I was kind of floored. I find myself questioning all the sessions I poured money into, like damn did I really pay a licensed professional to convince me that cOmUnIcaTinG would fix abusive dynamics

Also found this passage applicable as to why couples counselling with an abuser is bs THE MYTH OF NEUTRALITY It is not possible to be truly balanced in one's views of an abuser and an abused woman. As Dr. Judith Herman explains eloquently in her masterwork Trauma and Recovery, "neutrality" actually serves the interests of the perpetrator much more than those of the victim and so is not neutral. Although an abuser prefers to have you wholeheartedly on his side, he will settle contentedly for you …

Oh the second part. Okay so about a year ago, I was trying to explain this to our couples therapist not as eloquently. And she kind of just said, "he's never gonna be able to empathize with your lived experiences as a woman so just accept it" and then went on a bizarre tangent about how her white boyfriend didn't believe she faced discrimination as a WOC and she was fine with that? That's when I knew that couples therapy shit was not it. I regret giving her money and letting her create a space w…

I'm gonna paraphrase this section A home where a woman is abused is a small-scale model of much larger oppressive systems that work in remarkably similar ways... Oppressive systems stay in existence because the people in power enjoy the luxury of their position and become unwilling to give up the privleges they win through taking advantage of other people and keeping them down. In short, the abusive mentality is the mentality of oppression.

I saw my NVX on OLD after 7 months of being separated, and I was devastated. I was actually initially in shock because of how blatantly clear his profile was: he was actively looking for another relationship, to recreate ours like a carbon-copy. He figured it was easier to apply to same formula to a new unsuspecting victim, than to do the work of looking inwards, and addressing the real reasons behind why I left him. I've been there, and its really dreadful the way they abuse their position to feed their mediocre and over-inflated egos. Its so so gross, disrespectful, and unprofessional to say the very least. I feel like you held your own well and took time to respond which is so smart. You didn't react, you stood up for yourself in a professional and respectable way, truly queen sh*t…

Congratulations!! Knowing there will be an end to this god awful situation feels elating, and planning your leave will feel hopeful and light. While he's at work, start mary-kondo-ing your things to make it easier to move out when the time is right. Also, start "putting away" off season clothes/coats into storage bins. On the day of, grab all your clothes that are still hanging in your closet and just stuff the into multiple garbage bags for ease. Enlist the help of at least two friends you can …

Only doing lunch dates is such a good strategy that I haven't thought of. Not only are you less likely to be put in a awkward position of a rushed sexual proposition (sir, its 2:30PM...) you can also blow them off easier if they wish to extend the date (I have dinner plans bye!) I didn't even mention how dangerous it is to be alone in the wild with a virtual stranger. This is just so vague and lazy. Also, def not age appropriate. These are the words of some one who is still mentally 18

If you actually like nature hikes, never go with a man, especially a man you have never met/barely know, and ESPECIALLY NOT with a man you know well. Chances are they will spoil your experience at best, ruin your favorite trail at worst. They will be unprepared. They might even complain. They'll walk too fast. They will mansplain nature to u. It's just a bad time. But I guess men ruining nature is part of patriarchal culture, just like, in general. Edit: "we should explore together" is giving …

You're committing your entire two month vacation to living with him when you've been dating long term for a year? I mean to put it nicely, you may not like him very much after that much time spent together. But what does this do to better you/your situation? Does going out of your way to spend your entire extended vacation to living with him improve your station, your personal development, your peace, your growth? I would think it might be nice to take some time out of your vacation to pay him a…

A lot of guys definition of love, relationships is skewed to begin with. Your definition of a relationship is most likely VERY different from theirs. A lot of men who want relationships feel entitled to all the benefits of a relationship, without any effort from their part. Just remember: just because some one uses similar language as you are, expectations and realities can and most likely will differ HUGELY. Also: they probably are playing up the same act from their last relationship, because t…

I'm new to the subreddit, but listened to all the podcasts in a few days to get caught up. At some point there was a short discussion over "useful" hobbies men can have (making video games, building shit, fixing cars or whatever) and got sick feeling to my stomach thinking of my NVM ex who did allllll that shit, posturing himself as a HVM when he was incredibly emotionally abusive to me throughout our 4 year relationship. Ladies: He has to be able to fix your car AND be emotionally present. A lo…

If he is so comfortable with disrespecting you like this, I can't imagine (I can imagine) what your friend must be subjected to on a daily. Who even tells people to drop dead? And for what, not wanting to do an escape room? Wow. The bar is flossing satans ass crack
