There's nothing to talk about if she's cheating. He should first investigate.

Totally agree she's going through a h*e phase and I'll bet she's going to come crawling back don't let her out you on the back burner you are giving her all the power. Respect yourself and move forward without her. Remember this was her decision thus she can't blame you afterwards. You should definitely inform the children in an age appropriate way so they'll have no resentment towards you.

Was going to say this. Soon we will have to lead them when they walk so that they don't bump into anything.

Just be happy you didn't have children with this grown up baby!

Are you sure she's not cheating?

Either she wants to keep you as backup or she doesn't want you gloating when she fails with the current husband.

I agree the moment you stop doing the pick me dance she'll start thinking that she mada a mistake asking for divorce. You have to be strong.

Well if she already has a boyfriend how can she guilt you?

Plus the way she just assumed that the pets go with her. Just imagine what would happen if she decided to divorce you after having kids. I would advise though make a clean break and not get stuck on pets, get one of your own.

It's hard , but you have to move on. Start looking for her replacement if the attorney says it's okay.

Hello if the roles were reversed she would be ringing you for all you are worth. Don't settle for anything less than you deserve. You are 3 times what they are. You're doing everything by yourself while she's got support.

Stop blaming yourself for everything. Go to a different councilor for yourself. She's the problem here not you. Nobody is going to respect you if you don't have any for yourself.

I've learned that women can never be at fault they have such low self esteem that of they apologize or admit wrong doing is just short of self deletion.

Don't fight back unless it's recorded. At least that's my experience.

I think she wanted her ex or had plans to cheat even before your separation. Now after you have been with other women or at least she's thinking this she had second thoughts and she's now stringing you along. She wants exclusivity for you, but not for her. Don't rebuild anything with her she sounds to me very manipulative.

One of the crazier stories I've read on Reddit. I wish you well with all the evidence you have and your children you should push for divorce as fast as you can go to court this is a whole new level of insanity.
/r/Divorce_Men20/12/24 02:15 AM
3

Why are you still with her. I couldn't read through the whole thing because it was too painful to remember. Please if you do have children or don't she will screw up all of your lives in ways you can't fathom. Take it from someone who knows. If she's that crazy she could kill you while you're asleep.
/r/Divorce_Men14/12/24 06:25 PM
4

Nothing is good for your kids if you benefit?! You should take her for everything you can get. Wouldn't it have been better for the kids if she wasn't so sneaky and filed for divorce while going for MC and not being honest. Children also need a father in their life. Especially in your case where you were the primary. You're being manipulated.
/r/Divorce_Men09/12/24 03:47 PM

From my experience with cps they are all feminists concerned more with her well being than yours. Any thing you expose now will be seen by them as abusive.

I can't believe how many men go through this. They want sex just not with their husband.

/r/Divorce_Men21/11/24 10:15 PM

Whatever you're doing to improve yourself, do it for you not to get her back. Never be with or hold captive someone who doesn't want you. Let her go. Divorce and find someone better who won't move in with someone whilst married. You are just boosting her ego seeing you beg and of course she will refuse you.
/r/Divorce_Men21/11/24 08:15 PM
4

Trust me plenty of people have been through what you're going through. The problem is that you feel ashamed to talk out your problem with someone. Like the other dude said talk to some spiritual counselor or someone that you respect. Wish you lots of success.
/r/Divorce_Men19/11/24 11:57 AM

That's cruel and unusual punishment can't you get it deferred to another county?
/r/Divorce_Men12/11/24 02:39 PM

There is no turning back or getting out of this. You can try to tell her that you need the divorce for yourself to figure things out and that once you've done that you may get back together. That right now you can't be in a relationship.
/r/Divorce_Men11/11/24 08:16 AM
8

That's great the trash took itself out. I am confident you'll find someone better to spend your time with. You're experienced and wiser. Just don't neglect your kid which is what I think she'll be doing in the near future since she's infatuated with her new play thing.
/r/Divorce_Men06/11/24 05:21 PM

Yeah I get it. Move for divorce as fast as you can. Don't expect any decency.
/r/Divorce_Men06/11/24 05:13 PM

It may have not only been with him. It really doesn't matter though she ain't worth keeping or fighting for. It happens in marriages, they just lose interest. It doesn't have to have to do anything with you. Just move on. Go find yourself someone also to keep yourself busy.
/r/Divorce_Men06/11/24 05:08 PM

Maybe she doesn't suspect you have anyone else. Usually they get jealous and have tinglings once they suspect there's someone else.

Yeah women including my wife have this issue where their partner has to be a saint. "Why did you look at her" "why did you act nice around to her?". "Why did you talk to her?". Even if it was some random lady asking for directions. Meanwhile they are self projecting. When you are not around they greet everyone and do whatever they want. It's only their husbands that they torture. Their chatter amongst themselves is pornographic and vile. I would check to see what has she been up to. Then divorce…

If your gut is telling you it maybe so. Do some snooping, depending on the it might benefit you in divorce.

I'm happy you have gotten to that stage.
/r/Divorce_Men12/09/24 09:14 PM

You need therapy. You're a victim of abuse.
/r/Divorce_Men12/08/24 01:33 PM
7

If this bothers you, you should look for a more meaningful relationship with someone else. She's just staying short term until she finds something better. If you make so much money hire a nanny. You shouldn't feel sorry for her she was up to no good. If you didn't give her enough attention or she's missing something in her marriage she should have communicated that with you. Cut out the sex and then you'll have an easier time getting over her.
/r/Divorce_Men12/08/24 10:13 AM
4

I agree been through this you'll be abused by your wife and mil. They'll gang up on you create false narratives call the police claim abuse. You'll be walking on egg shells. It starts with ppd then bi polar and ends with schizophrenia.
/r/Divorce_Men08/08/24 08:25 PM
1

If your kids are old enough pls inform them of her actions in an age suitable fashion so she won't be able to control the narrative and alienate you from them.
/r/Divorce_Men31/07/24 01:04 PM
7

My sad life when I wanted to divorce my wife my MIL was the staunchest supporter of divorce. She would even mess with my wife about me. Now she strongly opposes divorce. I can't stand her family. Just count your blessings that you made it out alive and kicking and don't take anything she says seriously. She'll never be on your side when push comes to shove.

Are you sure your ex wasn't cheating?
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 10:07 AM
1

Yeah, but it's pretty scary when they start questioning you about it, but my daughters were older already and they had enough of their mother's antics. I don't trust police because they put me in the ringer for a couple years constantly sending me to court, it's only now that my situation has reversed and I have the upper hand. It has been a rough ride and her mental health is deteriorating.
/r/Divorce_Men18/07/24 09:54 PM

Don't fret. This actually made it's way to the police. The police investigated and found that it was false.

I don't know about the alone in the dark part. I actually love it, the best sleep I ever had was alone in a cabin in Pennsylvania near the Deleware River. Absolute quiet and pitch black no cell. No one to bother me.
/r/Divorce_Men04/10/23 05:20 PM

Yeah you should divorce you played it smart up until now don't bring kids into the mix. If she's pregnant or gets pregnant don't sign the birth certificate until after a paternity test confirms you're the father. That's disgusting what your wife did. She abused by stringing you along. Of all the people she had to go out with a married man with kids.
/r/Divorce_Men22/09/23 11:23 AM
1

I agree that you're lucky, the other guy is stupid she basically showed she's married and he still proposed not thinking that the same will happen to him in the future.
/r/Divorce_Men13/09/23 01:30 PM
1

She's already starting the parental alienation. Have your own party for him with your friends. Don't plan anything with her anymore. She's vile. I do hope that you go for the jugular during the divorce. Sounds like you're being friendly while she isn't reciprocating. Take full advantage of her infidelity during divorce, don't cover up for her. Tell everyone of her infidelity so that in the future she won't be able to celebrate with anyone. I wish you the best of luck going forward.
/r/Divorce_Men21/08/23 12:34 PM

That's just too bad for her. Have her put on her big girl panties and face the music. Invite your friends and if she doesn't like it she can stay in her room.
/r/Divorce_Men21/08/23 12:22 PM
2

Good for you. Sounds like she only wanted the open marriage for her not you. She is a nasty disgusting person. Don't ever let her convince you to take her back. I wish you all the best.

Do you know for sure she's at work? Do you suspect that there maybe something going on? Maybe one day drop by and see for yourself what's keeping her at work for so long? Don't tell her your plans.

Relationships shouldn't be about competition rather partnership. She is definitely not wife material. When you breakup you don't owe her an explanation, you can just say you're incompatible.

You need to go to therapy to get through this in my opinion. This is traumatic and she left a huge hole in your heart. You have to move and no longer wait for to acknowledge you and your feelings. It's like asking " why did the snake bite me, I was feeding it and taking care of it?". Accept the fact that is what snakes do. Don't try to analyze her consciousness and her why's. That is who she is and not worth your time. Find a way to occupy your time when thinking about this. Good luck!
/r/Divorce_Men28/06/23 06:32 PM

She's probably found another dude she's interested in. Either that or her friends are single and probably talking about how she got married too young and didn't experience the variety that's out there. It's for the best you leave her.

The only good advice is what the guy told you above to do basically the grey rock method. The other guys seem to pedastilize their wife. Like the one who said that she keeps messaging him to "fight for us don't give up our family is worth saving", that is a bunch of crap. What is she doing to save the family? The other one where she gives him a bunch of sex, that maybe a ploy to throw him off of her infidelity. The best advice here is to focus on yourself and your son and don't give in to her ma…

First off I want to thank you for your service. If you're being mentally and physically abused, then yes it's the right attitude. If you have children it's not healthy for them to see a parent being abused. Do you gain anything by keeping your stbxw in your path? Do you stand to lose by keeping her in your path? Look at it this way you have to make your wellbeing your own goal. If she is a detriment to that you have to cut her off. Whatever point in life you're at right now she's been a part of …

Congratulations. Just like you said happiness comes from within. Therefore don't brood over her emotions. They shouldn't affect you. Radiate happiness and strive to do things that make you happy. Once she sees you happy she'll try to take it away from you. Just "grey rock" her and continue doing your own thing and be happy. You're starting a new chapter in your life so make the best of it, you ain't no one's "bitch".
/r/Divorce_Men22/05/23 01:58 PM

Why do you so readily accept that it's your fault the marriage is ending. It takes two to tango. Maybe you were miserable and depressed being around her? This could very well be better for you. Be positive work on yourself, now you'll be free to do and invest in things you like without having to consult your wife.
/r/Divorce_Men22/05/23 01:24 PM

Don't worry the neighbors aren't stupid they probably know of the parties. She's only snitching on her self. What other reason would a spouse track his partner other than infidelity. Hire a PI and get more evidence and after divorce blow up her world. Next time you catch her at someone's house pull out a phone and record. It's also good to record all of your interactions with her.
/r/Divorce_Men22/05/23 01:01 PM

She might get pregnant by the other dude and then you'll be trapped financially depending on where you live. Don't let her strong you along while she's having fun riding the rodeo.

I was also kicked out of my house when I had a little daughter and a newborn baby boy. Pls don't do what I did, just hear me out. Your spouse is crazy and is probably cheating or has in mind to cheat therefore accusing you of cheating. What are waiting for? Until she hits something vital. Then what your kids are stick with a crazy mentally and physically abusive parent, or get to go to foster care. Is that what you want for your children?

I really feel for you. I'm in the same situation as you except for the empty nesters part. Some people are just not capable to feel or give other people what they need. You have to accept it for what it is and work on yourself. Go out more meet new people, aquire new hobbies and get therapy for your issues. Be strong and know that there are millions of people with the same situation so you're never truly alone.

I read through some of your earlier posts. Your wife is a vile creature who abused you and your child. She probably has serious mental issues. You truly deserve someone much better. I can't tell you it doesn't hurt it does, but in the long run you'll be better off. That depends on you though. Get IC and focus on yourself and on your children. I applaud you that you had the courage to file for divorce and get out. Things will get better.

Al Bundy described it best to high schoolers he took an egg, held it up and said " This is your brain before marriage ". Then he took the egg cracked it open and set it in a hot frying pan and said " This your brain after marriage ". IMAO this was the best analogy for marriage describing the dangerous side effects to your brain. Everything he said was true getting married turns your brain into mush, can't think straight can't function due to the manufactured stress that women bring to the table.

It's horrible being questioned like that over and over hoping that he slips up when there is a video of everything. I remember being interrogated like that. One thing you have to know is to read everything they transcribe before you sign anything sometimes they put additional words you didn't say. I would then cross it out or wouldn't sign, they are real bastards.

This is a great comment. OP you sound like a great guy, but it's time to think about "you". Meaning "me, myself and I". Stop worrying about her and what she thinks and what she wants. The way you described her family's religious position, it's very unlikely she will ask for divorce. So you're most likely worrying over nothing.
/r/Divorce_Men23/01/23 05:32 PM

If I was you I wouldn't get divorced. I ain't you though. Maybe you can tell her that you consulted with a doctor and he said that you can't conceive children and offer her family divorce, not because something is wrong with their daughter rather you're doing it for her so she won't be childless. That way they won't want to kill you.

So it has nothing to do with your financial future you're just worried about the laws that will risk your financial future in case you get divorced. So if you don't get divorced then your financial future is secure. Then why do you intend to divorce her? Did you think that children aren't an expense? There has to be something else that is bothering you.

Wow, you're a great guy. Why did you get married in the first place? It sounds like from the post that you just intended to marry and then get divorced. She would have kept you in the dark about her affair and would have made out better in the divorce. You would have been funding her affair. Now that her master plan has failed she feigns reconciliation and the responsibility is on you!? Do yourself a favor you'll never trust her. You'll always wonder where she's really going/p…

Don't have any mercy for her call the police and show them all the relevant evidence. If you don't she'll take you to the cleaners later and claim you abused her. In doing so, you are showing that you're a responsible parent and removing yourself and the children from a potentially dangerous situation. If CPS does find out later and you didn't call the police they will see you as weak and an unfit parent who doesn't have the guts to protect the children.

Maybe she has someone motivating her to leave you.

I wonder why she wants him out so quickly? Hmmm 🤔. Do some investigating sounds fishy.

Hello where is your spine? She doesn't get to dictate your future relationships once divorced. Trust me having married a woman from the Middle East, they are not more sexually restrained than any other female. They have the same biology as all females, they just jave learned to lie, manipulate and gaslight better because in the Middle East adultery is a capital crime. Stay strong and take care of yourself and don't fall for her BS.

She's not your friend anymore and there is nothing wrong with competing with her to get more time with your son.

Did you ask your children how they feel about this?

Yeah I just love how she uses "do what's good for the kids", what she really means is doing what's good for me is good for the kids. Don't forget that the kids are also yours.

Get an attorney. Record any and all interactions with her. If she physically abuses you call the police and file charges don't back down. Don't move out of the house.

I'm betting she is projecting her flaws on you. She is probably cheating. Whatever you do, don't go to Texas if she had family there. They will gang up on you.

You should try an investigate if she wanted a divorce because of infidelity. Gather evidence it may help you in court.

I would advise asking another attorney. I don't know why the attorney would not want to bring up her prostitution if you have proof of it, I would think that is endangering the child.

Maybe in the beginning, but now she can.

Reading this I kind of get the feeling that she was using you from the start. She's manipulating you, not the other way around!

This plague called family court is world wide. It so outdated to think that children only need their mother.

I would advise you to record your interactions with her she sounds looney and may call the cops on you for no reason.

Trust me there was nothing worth getting back and this is all on her. She's not worth trusting and if she's not willing to put up with your actions, then let her gooo!!!! Don't fret about it. What you did is justifiable given her affairs.

What trust?!! Did you have trust for her? It goes both ways you know.

I went through the same situation there is no assertiveness thet will work unless he records and goes to the police. This woman is mental and needs medication. Gather evidence and when she calls the police present them with the evidence.

You have to take care of your mental state not only physical state. Get therapy you know she's a liar and she hurt you already twice pls don't give her another chance to hurt you. Get counseling!

Your divorce will set you free. Your wife is either narcissistic or borderline or both. She's trying to alienate you from family and friends so that you won't have anyone to talk to so that you'll have no one to tell you why you put up with this crap. She's digging for you an early grave. I would plan to have her get a job before you divorce for alimony purposes. I would also install hidden cameras around the house just to see what she does all day with her free time. You might be in for a surpr…

Definitely go for alimony.

Are you sure she hasn't cheated? If she has you shouldn't want her back and definitely go for alimony. Even if she hasn't cheated you should still go for alimony.
