ahah yeah, my sense of humour is a little different so it's probably just the way they're bantering

i'm not saying they can't compete, i'm saying it's unnecessary and don't see why there is a need in certain situations

acquaintances (colleagues, classmates), i'd never want to date them after

yep! i have a feeling it has to do with our surroundings and the fact that the people around us are just younger. i think we'd have better luck in fitness classes/networking and industry events but i'm quite reserved also lol

so true, i looked back at my best pictures and then looked at my period app and all were taken during ovulation. i'm trying to figure how to but i think it's mostly hormonal - maybe eating mindfully to reduce bloating 🤷‍♀️

i get it! mostly i get asked if im 16-18 and i dont really drink etc but i guess i can make it known another way. its just that people dont take me seriously in convos and are visibly shocked when i tell them my age - embarassing

I have savings, it's just that I'm a recent grad so I'm kind of starting out in work (i have had several low-level jobs before)

I posted this another time on this sub and the advice was to just put myself out there and not worry too much about these things (as men don't care). I need to stay here for a while before I move because I want to save. I agree with your points, it's just that the job market is ridiculous edit: not sure why i'm getting downvoted, i really just asked for advice 😊

it's a different system in the uk. you don't have a debt which affects your credit; you just pay a small amount over a certain salary (more like a graduate tax) because everyone except international students get a student loan. atm i don't have to pay anything because i'm not earning over the threshold and it gets written off after 25 years. i don't have any private loans or debt though, good savings considering my age

yeah we're from traditional/eastern cultures and the same religion but he seems fairly liberal. for the new generation, there are definitely expectations of a woman to 'make' something of herself in both cultures

yeah honestly, i'm degree educated but i'd much prefer doing a trade like hairdressing or aesthetics but i guess it can work

that's nice to hear, i think i'm easy to get along with but worry for my family who are quite outgoing/opinionated in contrast to his

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
