Approach the men you are interested in, depending on where you live, it might be frowned upon when 35 year old men approach 22 year old women, and most men are scared of approaching anyway. With waiting for men to approach you, you will only have access to about 10% of men who are mostly lotharios, which is usually not in your favour. I reckon it would be a good technique to ask them for a favour or advice to break the ice. "Do you know how I can change this setting on my phone?" , "Can you help me lift this in my car?" etc.

I’m 24M so still maybe not within the age group you’re seeking and maybe my advice doesn’t apply.

IME, almost all men find short, petite, and/or young-looking women attractive. Idk if this applies to you, but I always try to find some evidence that these women are of legal age before approaching. Whether that be a tattoo, maybe we are in a 21+ place, something like that. Maybe this is just me, but the fear of accidentally approaching an underage girl in public is a big deterrent for me and unless I receive some strong indicators that either the girl is interested in me or is of legal age, I will not approach.

Again, I’m not sure if this applies to you but if you’re 25 and being approached by 17-22yo men, I’d imagine it does. If it is the case, I’d wager you just need to put yourself out there a bit more and make the first move, even if it’s subtle like just initiating the conversation. Drop anything to indicate that you’re of legal age. “XYZ Restaurant has really good cocktails”, or maybe something about your job if it’s a job that a minor wouldn’t really work. Anything to indicate that you’re of legal age and that the man wouldn’t have to worry about anything reputation-wise. Not that it’s the end of the world if a man realizes a girl he’s approaching is underage and walks away, but it definitely would be a deterrent for me.

I have this same issue. I also look very young for my age. My post grad program has guys 3-5 years younger than me in age. Sometimes they will flirt or try to talk to me then get shocked when I mention my age. They always think I’m like 22 max. (Honestly I’ve even gotten 19 once at my old job). One guy even asked if I was married after he heard my real age?? 🥲 (I wish)

But I’m also struggling to meet age appropriate men in their late 20s. I’m even ok with dating maximum 3 years younger or 6-7 years older.
