Saw many counselors. None of the women counselors were any good. Had a great male counselor. He was balanced and she hated him. She finally asked for a Korean American counselor (female) who helped me realize that female on male abuse was a normal part of Korean culture. That’s when I decided to get out.

In my case I didn’t think I could afford a 2nd mortgage payment, but in hindsight I would’ve been better off in a tent for 6 months or even staying with family. Just find a way. It’s hard to describe how living with someone who hates you feels.

It would be my honor to treat you to dinner. I’m in counseling and even outside of that I’ve long been a big proponent of forgiveness. My counselor had an amazing observation that people who are born into healthy familial relationships have a blind spot with how to deal with abuse. That was an eye opener to me al…

For anyone who read my dumb idea… you were right. I ran the math and I showed my wife that she could have $50k uncontested or $30-$35k contested and she is opting for the contested route. She wants to “tell her story”.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
