my roommate has been using my tp and refuses to pay for it, because it shouldn’t matter - it’s only a little bit. Imagine his face when I hide the toilet paper because it shouldn’t matter - it’s only a little bit Yes I’m petty no I don’t care. Give me $5 or something or fuck off

Never heard of that but sounds plausible. She would always compare us and our families. She kept a couple sentimental items from him and asked me if it was weird once and I said idk I guess not. Come to think of it I think she just wanted me to be him lol

Haha I was genuinely distraught for months but it’s unbelievable how less stressed out I am on a daily basis

Alright it’s been over a year now and my emotions are removed from it, so I just want to know if this was in fact weird. Gf meets up with ex (who was/is engaged) for dinner, keeps it under wraps, we eventually fight about it, break up, they text/make each other playlists, she dates a different ex, and now we’re in the present day, where they continue to add to each other’s playlists (still dating other ex). I would like to work toward a relationship that is the exact opposite of whatever that is

I’m cooking in the paint lately lol my roommate got a gf and she introduced me on separate nights to two of her friends, so now I have both of their numbers. This is my blue ocean strategy

I’ve been on a legendary tear with early-fizzled talking stages and long organic conversations that amount to nothing. I guess there’s a couple ways to look at that. I don’t feel I need a partner. I’ve spent a lot of time on my own hobbies since becoming single around a year ago and I’ve actually grown to enjoy the solitude at times. Also these have all been attractive women so at least I know I can play. Most recently they’ve been first gen Americans from eastern Cold War countries which I thin…

Ha. That last chick just stopped texting btw, shoulda listened to my flake instincts. Abundance mindset helps a lot though I haven’t even thought about it. This one - she was only in town to see a friend and she left again this morning. Lives about 4 hours away, trying to see if she’ll come back next weekend to go to baseball game with us as our team is in town

Got the number of this chick yesterday and she’s pretty hot but I had to pretend to be interested in her MLM. She’s top line though Anyway I have no confidence when it comes to bringing someone back who I just met. Make out, get her #, engaging conversations for hours, all that but I have a weird anxiety about bringing in the closer

Just had the dumbest altercation on the road, I’m pulling up to a protected left turn, busy intersection. Light is red. Half car length behind and in front of me. Fast food restaurant to right. One lane road each way aside from this turning lane. Girl is trying to turn left out of fast food exit, away from where I’m heading. Line of cars heading my way super backed up at this point. I do my best to make reasonable space while still protecting myself in case I get rear ended. I look over (like 90…

Not standing for this shit anymore im sending this emoji 👎 to women who ghost me
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 05:24 PM

Who gives a fuck about the last word? On that topic though, there was a girl I was seeing for about a month or 6 weeks several months back and it was about put up or shut up time with making it official. I ended things and was straight up about it, and this chick had the most cordial response I’ve ever seen in my life. She was disappointed but so, so respectful. I have never in my life second guessed anything more than this just due to how she carried herself, I really hope she’s doing well
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/24 10:30 PM

Ghosting is cowardly and any defense of doing so is delusional. My favorite is “well unfortunately as women we have to fear for our safety” as if someone who they feared would react negatively from rejection wouldn’t also react negatively from someone going dark lmao. Also, most of you aren’t being ghosted. It’s pretty granular but claiming to be ghosted by someone who you know nothing about and exchanged 2 texts with is absurd

Non issue to me. Now one case I think is absurd is supposed HC racial discrepancies in the NFL. Who gives a shit if there are too many white coaches, have you seen the player pool? I don’t see any complaints that we need more white players

It’s a shame foot guys have the reputation they do because it’s really such a patrician taste if your partner is into it
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/24 01:12 PM

Wouldn’t really say got it for less as much as personal preference. We judge potential partners for all sorts of actions and behaviors, I don’t see how this is any different. the least we can do when someone tells us who they are is to listen.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/24 11:01 PM
1

Yeah I’m with you on that fs. That number would accommodate a number of casual hookups and repeat occasions. People make it sound like it’s very easy to get, say, 50, even in their early 20s, but to me that’s indicative of a different view of sex, a lack of impulse control, and a lack of maturity. None of which scream “marriage material”. Not a gendered thing either, as evidenced by your POV!
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/24 10:29 PM
1

Not a lot, but having an established history with her is a small tick in the right direction provided we’re on good terms. Like I said, small bonus but it’s not going to excuse 100 bodies
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/24 10:18 PM
1

I think the answer is likely somewhere in the middle and I don’t know where it is. But that’s a great point. Like I said I’ll keep options open and have more of an abundance mindset rather than one of scarcity. I know I deserve that at the very least
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/24 10:08 PM
1

I know this isn’t what this is, but I believe many different traditional religious texts should be taught in public schools
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/24 10:06 PM

In general the lower the better. Having been her first might excuse it a little bit more than typical but not an absurd amount.

I’ve been texting a dating app girl for a few days now, fairly basic stuff but so far so good (low bar obviously). Anyway I asked if she’d like to grab a drink sometime this week, she replies that it sounds fun but she’s got family in town and then asked if she could get back to me when she knows what times she’ll be free. My soul read and from past experience, assuming she continues to text, is that this is genuine but I could be wrong. Do I just leave the ball in her court or is this too simil…

It’s maddening even in gen Z dude. Lot of flirting and the second things turn concrete most women flake. It’s all a validation thing for many, low self esteem = “I want to feel desired” and here’s a way to do so without much risk. Use any generic reason to justify it and then blame men for your dating woes
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/24 03:44 PM
1

How old are you? I wonder if it’s a generational thing. Lot of advice prior to Gen Z was to text only to coordinate dates, I think that’s mostly fallen out of favor with a lot of people
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/24 03:37 PM

Sure. I’ve got enough going on, I don’t need the approval of women who don’t find me desirable - onto the next

I was listening to a podcast yesterday and I thought the guy made an excellent point: if you are a man who fundamentally believes you are broken, you’re going to find either a woman who agrees with you, or a woman who believes that about herself
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/24 02:19 PM
1

You have given me a realization that I can and should want those women to self-select themselves out.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/24 02:15 PM

Ha, that’s a great quote actually and you’re spot on. Self confidence has been a struggle at times. It’s a weird dichotomy of like outward confidence (not arrogance) and inward feeling like I’m somebody just pretending. That’s very helpful stuff though I appreciate it!

Ladies in mid 20s, if you’re texting a guy back is it more attractive when he texts you back right away/when he’s on his phone, or if he waits to text you back I work on my personal phone all the time I don’t want her to think I’m a loser. Not yet anyway :(
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/24 01:44 PM
1

Yeah I guess so. It sounded like my issue was more an issue of compartmentalization and I allow these different compartments to either feel all the emotion or none of the emotion, or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/24 01:29 PM
1

He said it was telling that my first reaction was “well why is that?”. Have you found any effective ways to stop doing this as much?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/24 01:28 PM

The bar isn’t on the ground, the bar is the top like 10% of men. Even that might be a stretch - if you consistently work out you’re automatically top 50 or something. Not all, but many women have a warped value of their worth. Ironically I think the sense of entitlement is greater with women than it is with men, on balance. At least in western countries.

Put my signal on to pass a dude who was driving below the speed limit on a typical one lane road with passing. Instead of letting me over, he keeps swerving into the left to block me from doing so. wtf is wrong with people lol I’m just as bad as him though I laid on the horn for probably 20 seconds
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/24 01:00 PM
1

Beast. Good explanation
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/24 02:02 AM
1

That does make sense. I honestly think it’s a plausible deniability thing for women who want casual sex and need to make a “show” of saying “it just happened”. Many women by nature are pretty covert. Unfortunately I imagine that leads to guys pushing more

It’s all relative right? It’s weird to think that a world average salary (1480/month) is the same as the cost just for a month of rent in the US. But when the alternative is no shelter/no food/no running water..

I bulked up to 180 at one point and I felt soft as hell so maybe there’s something to that. I still just feel small though. Got up to 215 bench but folded on 225 and then I’ve been out for a bit with an injury. Running to stay active lately. as it stands now I don’t feel big enough to not have a 6er (I’ve got decent ab definition, not my peak though). How old are you?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/24 08:44 PM

That was the gym hahaha. Rehabbing a neck strain from lifting rn so staying active with lower impact exercise, once that’s done I’m going to do a slow bulk forever
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/24 08:41 PM
1

I’m 24, both my grandfathers were pretty slight forever so I guess I should take that as a positive. Feels like I’m up against it with the dating pool sometimes but maybe I’m around the age where more men fall out of shape
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/24 08:39 PM
1

I just can’t do it haha. Best I can do is a soundgarden shirt. I try to present well but I don’t really care for trying to adhere to fashion trends, give me a baseball hat, a flattering black slim fit T shirt, some cuffed jeans, and a pair of vans or Levi’s and I’ll ride that boy til I’m 70.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/24 08:36 PM

I was talking to a chick for a bit on hinge and she unmatched me out of nowhere. She was missing an appendage. It took very slightly more effort for her to unmatch me when expressed as a % of total fingers available!

I’m sick of having a sleeper build, limited facial hair worth growing, and being 5’10, 165. I’m in my mid 20s competing with grown ass men & I don’t feel like one
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/24 08:31 PM

I don’t mean linking your instagram (some apps allow you to do so, so people can see additional pics without following you). I mean putting your handle, specifically so people follow you. Then it’s “ahhhh men are so scary” like you’re pinpointing your identity idk how dumb someone can be
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 06:04 PM

Lmao. Tech is aids
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 05:08 PM

She looks like Roger Goodell
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 05:05 PM

Ladies, if you’re looking for a serious relationship and have your instagram in your dating app bio, you’re self selecting out probably 90% of half decent dudes. It’s hilarious to see these people and then go to the profile out of curiosity and see they like their own posts lol. Time to grow up honeybuns Tbf I’m straight a dude so I don’t know if dudes do this
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 05:04 PM

Do as I say not as I do hahaha
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 04:59 PM

What leads women to improve their self esteem and become more secure? For men it’s either you get out of a relationship or you never had one. For a man it’s normal to go several months to a couple years without dating, for a woman it’s less so. So are more women just insecure always? How can you be secure if you’re always seeking validation from other people (particularly romantic interests)?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 04:58 PM

All you brotha, if you find an attractive woman with bangs who isn’t bisexual I’ll take them off your hands 🤣

Yes, deliberately making anyone uncomfortable is bad. But that’s flying over the heads of the people this PSA is directed towards. And the entire thing is these dudes don’t realize they’re being told no, I think.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 08:37 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 06:48 PM
1

For sure. I’m the wrong person for that though. I can recognize these women as conventionally attractive (like, model-esque) but it just doesn’t do it for me. You swipe left on all the models and then it sends you people who are either socially off or look to be in poor health. Where are all the average looking ones? lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 06:46 PM

Average hinge experience: “I go to raves” (drugs are my personality) “I don’t get on here much here’s my instagram” (desperate for attention, has low self esteem, and probably likes their own posts) “I like to travel” (absolutely no coherent thought in that brain whatsoever) “Looks matter” (you aren’t nearly attractive enough to make those demands) “Be funny” (what do you offer?)

My fault I should read better. In that case, I’d say things like mutual respect, trust, assuming the best, and top tier communication are important. I think those are self explanatory but for mutual respect that could even include things like how you talk about your partner when they’re not around, if you do/don’t entertain other people coming up to you with romantic intent, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 02:38 PM

I shouldn’t say “really” - I should say it more commonly applies. Men more commonly approach women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 02:00 PM
2

I wonder what that reason may be Like, legitimately. My theory is that some women have a disconnect in their perceived attractiveness and worth in the dating market due to the gender ratio on dating app as well as differences in swiping patterns to worsen this- men on average swipe right on more profiles than women, hence a woman’s attractiveness threshold to match a man of equal attractiveness is much lower. Again, even before considering the gender ratio disparity.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 01:56 PM

Minimum for prospective female partners from more of a selection perspective: is not vain. Signs of vanity include putting Instagram in dating profile bios, liking own social media posts, profile is entirely half naked selfies, rudeness toward “the other”, etc. has demonstrated positive interpersonal relationships with some or all of their family members did not have a hoe phase, or if they did have a hoe phase, they’re transparent about it rather than defensive treats everyone with respect. You…

Idk where the daily threads went so here I go. I tried coffee meets bagel as I heard good things about it, but I don’t see the vision lol. It seems like for the most part the women on these sites have better experiences than the men because of the talent pool. In essence what you’re left with is women who don’t get any traction on other sites which is a very small subset of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 12:13 AM

For whatever reason this comment brought back a monumental fold I had repressed in my mind. One time I was flying back from visiting work (I am the only remote worker) and my colleague asked me to move my flight and stay the night at her place. I was like “oh no haha I’ve gotta make this flight” just totally oblivious
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/24 03:34 PM

Also, the ratios might be favorable, but, while I’m sure they’re nice people and intelligent, there probably aren’t a ton in a book club that you would find attractive. I looked one up in my area just based off your comment and that was what I could tell anyway.

The most embarrassing rejection for me was pretty tame I guess. I had been talking to this woman at a bar (went with my friend) and she leaves to dance. I went up to her emboldened for some reason and asked for the chances she’d give me her number, she said 0 lmao. She cooked me. I thought that was sort of rude and I felt led on for the conversation we had being pretty in depth, but also learned a lot from this encounter. I didn’t even want her fucking number I just felt like I should have

Or younger women have a misguided idea of their own attractiveness. Also I wouldn’t conflate self esteem with an ego problem. Ironically a massive ego is often used to mask deeper feelings of insecurity or inadequacy. One is undoubtedly a positive thing, the other isn’t. Who would want to date someone with low self esteem? They’re more likely to be pushed around and struggle to establish boundaries, lack control, seek approval from others…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/24 09:23 PM

I’d date her but my bs alarm would be up. If she’s actually feminist IMO she needs to be a TERF. A trans radical feminist is an oxymoron and just not worth the squeeze

Anecdotally my ex threw a water bottle at me when I didn’t want to have sex one time (I was drunk, therefore I couldn’t consent 😉) OP I think your post is controversial because it’s true. Look at DV rates in lesbian vs m/m relationships and it’ll tell yoy everything you need to know.

There are too many weak and effeminate men. So when society starts collectively promoting the idea that men should be masculine, and no this does not mean repressing all feelings.

That makes sense. How many times do you think a man would be approached by a woman? In the past year alone I’ve been approached a couple times this year by decent women and I wouldn’t say l I’m one most women find attractive.

Can you elaborate on this. I’ll leave a little stubble at 24 but I can’t grow a thick carpet or a mall cop mustache like other dudes my age. On the flip side when I’m clean shaven I feel like I look 17. I can’t win

I’d wager the guys saying that aren’t actually ugly, they just aren’t super model levels of attractiveness. As for where they get that confidence? Idk. If I’m being honest with myself, I, like most people, am somewhere in the middle just from a looks perspective. A little bit polarizing even. Seems like women either think I’m more or less attractive than I believe, there’s very little inbetween. Makes dating very interesting lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 05:33 PM

I disagree for the most part. Looks are important but I don’t think it’s that simple that your looks aren’t why you’re getting dates. Take it from a man’s perspective - even one of reasonable attractiveness won’t be approached by a woman, rarely if at all. So if he’s not putting himself out there by asking women out, I don’t think you can make that conclusion. For unattractive women, what you say is probably more true as women are traditionally the ones being approached. But there are numerous f…

At least a little innate? Men stronger women gather? Blah blah blah
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 12:57 AM

This is legitimately a fundamental disconnect between b/t traditional values (some of which are innate) and the current societal reality. Probably also a contributing factor as to why so many women are dissatisfied in dating

Absolute master class from me yesterday. Got drunk and by some circumstance ended up dancing with some cute chick at a bar. We talked a little bit and I didn’t make a move. In my defense, she has a child, but this really emphasizes the whole self-defeatist mentality I need to get over

Thank you for the reply! I figured I oversimplified things but my broad assumption was that earning potential increases fairly linearly, on average, with intelligence. /r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 10:10 PM

I’m no Adonis but for whatever reason when I’ve talked to women they’ve been devastated when I want to stop. One girl was making TikToks about me months after we stopped - we only talked for one to begin with. Probably at least a little of that is a product of selection bias but it’s funny to think about. Then again, I don’t waste my time with wishy washy women anymore. I’ll be the first to tell my friend to pull the trigger on cutting a chick off because her shit isn’t together
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 08:15 PM
2

That’s interesting!! So if I follow, dumber men are also, on average, dumber than dumber women. Serious question - does this call into the question the value of forced gender equality “for the sake of doing it”? That is, shouldn’t we expect more men to gravitate toward higher paying positions by virtue of their intelligence at the top end?

How many partners (sexual or romantic interests) do you think a 50th percentile man has by age 25? I would guess 3 or 4 but I’m not sure. Wouldn’t be surprised if the bottom 25%ile is 0 and the top 10%ile is like 30+. Date Psychology estimates 27% of men b/t 18 and 30 report no sexual activity since turning 18.

/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/24 08:15 PM

Ahhh okay maybe it’s a little different calculus in that case because I could see him taking “no” as an invitation to flirt more. I don’t like asking in that manner for that reason. Curious, what do you/would you like to hear in contrast? A while ago I finally worked up the courage to ask a girl out at my gym after we talked one day, seems like we could have had a lot of similar interests. /r/PurplePillDebate08/04/24 12:17 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/24 12:13 AM

Not sure you’ll have a ton of luck at the airport tbh. In my experience relationships that begin as or are intended to be long distance do not fare as well. Are you approaching women near you already? Why/why not, and if so how?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/24 12:11 AM

Depends how you define it. More women (11.5%) have severe obesity than men (6.9%). More men are combined overweight or obese then women, and more men are “just overweight” than women as well.

My friend had a date with some tinder chick. They set one up, day comes and she flakes - says she can hang tomorrow. That day comes and she flakes again. Walking red flag and the worst part is she’s not nearly attractive enough to act that way.

Good point. I would hesitate to call it violence, but my experience was a little fucked up - the last girl I dated (age 21-23) had been known on occasion to throw things at me the times I wouldn’t have sex. I’ve not quite arrived to that conclusion yet. I am also willing to stay single if my standards aren’t met. Maybe it’s because I’m 24 but I find dating a lot more enjoyable that way.

He’s right. I live in a house with 3 of my teammates from college and we’re all single. 2 of them think it’s dumb when we go out with a group of women (acquaintances) who have BFs because they’re already taken. The other 2, which includes me - we argue that being out in a group with women, attracts other women. Case in point last time we went out like this I made out with some girl who approached us lol
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/24 08:20 PM

2:30 was my max in college athletics. No idea why we did it, wasn’t relevant to our sport at all. These days I prefer a different approach. If yall are well above one min I’d suggest trying one arm out and opposite leg out for around 30 sec at a time then switch.

It’s weirdly encouraging swiping left so many times on a dating app lol. So much of the population is overweight, unskilled/no education/no trade/no career, drug addicted, or actively unintelligent. Really helps you re-calibrate what a 5 is, lol.

Not saying I agree with it but that’s why they call it a hoe phase and not a hoe forever

Tough call. I’d say anything above 20 is pushing it. Ideally below 10. Sweet spot for me is like 3-5 but I’m not that restrictive. 20 would allow a decent hoe phase and still account for a decent string of “bad dating luck” or some other bs. Interestingly if you asked me 40 instead of 30 years old my answer would be about the same I think.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/24 06:47 PM

Based. I mentioned this in a thread yesterday and someone told me “I know what the statistics say but that hasn’t been my experience”. Thankfully someone else chimed in and made a good point - higher body count says something about your character and your values. It’s up to you to decide if that’s something you admire.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/24 06:44 PM

Here ya go buddy. 24M, 3 PIV, but I would say 6 altogether. Of the 6, 2 were long term partners.

/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/24 06:40 PM

Tough call, over 3 months I’d expect some repeats naturally. So I’d agree with other reply and say 6 max. That’s a new one every other week I think that number is the higher end of what I’d consider reasonable, and even then not if you extrapolate it over a year - two years - etc. I think more reasonable is anywhere from 0-3. 12 in 12 weeks is an insane red flag and leads me to believe we wouldn’t be compatible anyway.

If we’re talking about one specific person, I agree with you that it’s pointless to worry about. But as I understand it, there is a positive correlation between body count and future infidelity. You can consider many things in dating, IMO this one shouldn’t be controversial. Obviously it’s a holistic approach as well, but I think it’s fair to consider at the end of the day

Men don’t care about other men because they aren’t trying to date other men. I’d wager many women don’t judge men for body count because that would require they look at their own with a sense of criticism. So right off the bat it’s coming from a place of insecurity and not strength Edit: and to add how this is different for dudes - for a man and a woman the same age and of equal relative attractiveness, it’s about the same “difficulty” for the man to have more sex as it is for the woman to have …

This will be all over the place, but I wish people were a little more understanding in dating and less likely to generalize (“all women are like this”, “all men are bad”, etc.) I’d like to meet someone who is accepting of their own flaws, constantly seeks to improve themselves without requiring approval from others, and most importantly acts with integrity when no one is looking. I’ve been cheated on in the past. It was awful, wouldn’t wish it on anyone. My options were to drown in my sorrow or …

I feel we’re similar. If you could measure “dependability” and other intangibles, I’d be near the top of the dating pool. I’ve had a friend (tall, pretty objectively good looking dude) tell me the exact same, pretty much. To play to my strengths. Mine will seldom be that direct approach. Hell, at 24 I’ve had more success with women coming up to me in my life than I have going up to them blind. Conversely, I’m good at thinking on my feet and have comedic timing. I’ve always sort of considered myself a long term play for this reason. I’m not this Adonis hot enough to open the door, but when I get it open I keep it op…

Women in a biological sense mature faster. I’d argue that women, from a societal standpoint, have been sold a foundation of lies and the pendulum has swung “too far” in the other direction as far as “raging against the motherhood”. Many women finding out they wanted to settle down too late. As fertility wanes much sooner for women, this has major impacts down the line.

If you really wanna know read their body language. If they fumble over their words they’re probably lying and you can just walk away knowing you were probably rejected. There have been others times I’ve gone up to a woman and she’s said she has a boyfriend and you can tell when it’s genuine, for the most part. tl;dr: N/A

OLD and then inflate whatever success on the app a bit if you’re a man to match your real life attractiveness. Deflate your success if you’re a woman. I’d venture to guess women get, on average, 4x as many likes.

If the alternative is being beaten, then yes, a 2 parent household isn’t as good as a separated one. But these are fringe cases. By and large, a 2 parent household - or at the very least having the father present in the child’s life - is a gigantic predictor of life outcomes. I’m sorry that happened regardless and I’m glad it seems you’ve defied the odds.

Wages have not increased enough to make being a single income couple super viable from a financial perspective. The government NEEDS to incentivize childbirth more than it does. Even if you don’t want/have children yourself, the societal benefits are endless.

Fun thought exercise. My standards: works out has friends has hobbies has a career or a passion of some sort with at least a semblance of a long term vision I find her attractive generally a good person; integrity - what do you do when no one is looking? similar stage in life That’s it. Doesn’t seem like it’s a lot to ask but maybe I’m crazy. I think these standards are fair as these are what essentially I set for myself (e.g., I go to the gym, have a career, have hobbies, etc.)
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/24 07:17 PM

I appreciate it dude. I think I’ve become less impacted by rejection but it’s still something where I go up and don’t want to be assumed as “some creep” or like I’ll automatically be rejected. On the flip side, you’re right - there was one specific time I didn’t ask for a girl’s number after an awesome conversation and to this day I think of that lol. That’s way worse than any rejection I’ve dealt with.

Anyone just completely jaded by dating? I’m 24M in a new city and I haven’t tried a whole lot. I know I want to marry eventually but the idea of going out of my way to potentially stroke the wrong person’s ego is repulsive at this point. I’ve seen a disturbing trend of women posting about their experiences with guys who “just don’t get it”. Like they won’t take no for an answer. On one hand, I’d be annoyed too, but on the other a ton of them reek of insecurity, like they need to be validated that “THIS man” would approach me.
