I didn’t know the rules for this sub so I got auto flagged because i ain’t a woman and answered a post “for women”.

So my position is:

Bare minimum for a woman? Someone who is happy to see you most of the time.

Same minimum for a guy.

It shows they want to be with you, it shows you are wanted, it shows you mean something to them.

As soon as that goes, and it’s a snarl or dislike most of the time, it’s time for the relationship to end.

When one person is no longer able to be in the same room as the other, or is unhappy to see them, and it’s not a short term argument but a long term checking out, the relationship is done.

That’s why marriage died back in the 70s … and rightly so. Most couples didn’t mutually want to be together, it was a societal expectation as promoted by Disney and Hollywood and parents and governments. There is no reason for marriage to exist except for those who believe in tradition and religion.

And it too often leads to hate and disdain.

Never let a relationship get that far - leave with good memories and a desire not to hurt each other anymore. Move on and never use children as pawns in any hate-filled revenge ideas.
