I don’t think they’re trying to avoid each other. I think they’re each trying to make sure they have the upper hand in sex, dating, and relationships. They operate under the assumption that the other is out to take advantage of them so they’re going to take advantage first.

Ah ok. I understand now. Then yeah, I see your point and agree. It follows my same logic.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/21 01:02 AM

I see your argument. And I see the logic behind it. I can’t say I actually disagree. Given that my point is that it’s ok to wait before having sex in order to see if he’s relationship material, I can understand someone not understanding a woman having sex with another guy who isn’t relationship material. I would like to point out that there are women who would rather just not have sex until they find someone worth having sex with. That’s why you have women saying it’s been 6+ months since they l…

Women treat men they like better than men they’re so-so about.

Anything desired can be withheld.

All false. What is she trying to hide? This is a tactic used to make a woman defensive and then try to prove she’s not hiding anything by having sex before she is ready to do so. A woman who has good qualities knows that a man will stick around even after sex because of her qualities. This sounds nice in theory but it’s flawed because men will notice a woman’s negative qualities or her lack of good qualities, decide she isn’t relationship material, but still have sex with her. This post is about…

You’re ignoring the one major risk of becoming emotionally bonded to someone who doesn’t feel the same way about her in return. Men seem to understand that women bond and become emotionally invested after sex. You can see evidence of this in the amount of women being strung along after sex. Waiting to have sex reduces this risk.

The hard truth is that having sex neither increases not decreases your chance of having a relationship. Your other qualities will determine that. That’s the point. A man can assess a woman’s other qualities and determine whether he wants a relationship with her or not; her having sex with him won’t change his decision. The problem is that men will still have sex with a woman even though he has decided a relationship is not an option. The women who agree with my post aren’t interested in having s…

We are talking about women seeing sex as a contract, that once a man signs he either provides for her permanently or is seen as a scumbag who uses women. No we’re not. Some may be discussing that in their own irrelevant conversations but that is not what my post is about. A man is not obligated to provide for you just because you fucked him. This wasn’t claimed in the post either.

And ok now let’s connect that to my point?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 05:43 AM

I’m missing your point. No one said she can do things that he can’t.

Yeah I’m not speaking for that.

And?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 04:26 AM

Because it’s possible to withhold a sex in a relationship also. I never said you couldn’t. Lol but that doesn’t change the definition of the word and that it applies to dating as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 01:52 AM
0

Why would I accept nonsense? I would suggest googling the definition of the word.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 01:47 AM
2

No it doesn’t imply a relationship at all. It is withholding in dating as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 01:34 AM
2

Because she’s not having sex with him but he wants to have sex lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 01:28 AM
2

You seemed not to understand that withholding generally applies to a relationship because there’s an expectation because of the nature of the relationship. Lol no it doesn’t. It doesn’t necessarily mean they are incompatible it just makes him have to choose between waiting for her to be comfortable (if he really likes her )or find a new woman who will match his energy. Which means they’re not compatible. They’re both better off finding someone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 12:50 AM
2

No one said dating doesn’t lead to relationships. That’s not the point. Counter argument, if a man wants sex quicker than a woman is ready, wouldn’t that mean they aren’t compatible? So why would she have sex when that won’t change their compatibility?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 12:34 AM

Dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 12:28 AM
1

I’m not talking about sex within a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 12:27 AM

Because sex isn’t being used to get a desired result. A woman is waiting to have sex until she is comfortable with the man and has decided to do so without succumbing to pressure.

Manipulation is predicated upon having some mechanism of influence. Stating your opinion on a public forum provides the means to influence. If you're so sure that your methodology works, then...just do it. That’s my point. How is it manipulative to be disagreed with? This is gaslighting. It was an attempt to manipulate and now you’re trying to reduce it to just disagreeing. What you are offering is not unique, many other women provide the same and more. If it's true and you're wrong then it's ju…

If you want, I’d be interested in hearing you take on it. The post is my best explanation lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 09:28 PM

And that’s what you should find. Problem is the men who are upset with this post don’t care about anyone else’s happiness. They just want what they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 08:59 PM
2

Of course you have no real reply but had to say something, anything lol. I know. "Withholding sex" is a "tactic" by immature people. Any mature person does not pay attention to stuff like this. This is a shaming and manipulative tactic. It’s implying that a woman is immature if she doesn’t have sex with a man when he’s ready. And also pushes the false information that men won’t tolerate this.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 08:57 PM
1

All of this is a great example of manipulative behavior. Again: you can't control if people leave or not. No, I didn’t say she can control it but the fact of the matter is men will leave if they don’t get what they want. Look at the comments, men are admitting this. If men aren't compatible, they're not going to check themselves out when all you have to offer is sex. Manipulation attempt. Deciding to wait to have sex until a woman is comfortable is not saying that all she has to offer is sex. It…

Let’s break this down bit by bit because I’m feeling myself now. what are you talking about? This is being intentionally obtuse. You know exactly what I’m talking about as I’ve spelled it out hundreds of times already. why are you so concerned with this concept of "withholding sex". This is deflection. An attempt to draw attention away from the original point and make it about me personally. The goal is to make me defensive because it attempts to create the idea that me giving me advise is actua…

Here it is. Another manipulation tactic. Yes, I have my White Male Privilege wand out. Put on your tinfoil hats... here I come. This is deflection by mentioning something I never accused you of. That's feminisms job. So many are feminists and don’t know it by your definition. The fact is women are different. What one woman will do, another won’t. I still don't have any clue what this has to do with whores and foodie calls. Nothing. This was in response to you bringing up women who have sex knowi…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 08:15 PM

And there’s nothing wrong with your perspective. It’s just that not everyone is compatible. It becomes unhealthy when a person wants sex quicker and tries to pressure the one who wants to wait into sex and uses a relationship (or anything) as a bribe.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 08:06 PM
3

No. She’s waiting to have sex until she is comfortable and confident that she can trust him.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 08:02 PM
-1

Ah ok. My argument is baseless because either you don’t understand, don’t want to understand, or understand but are pretending you don’t because you don’t like it. Withholding sex isn’t done to get what she wants. It’s done when she’s ready and comfortable to do so. Huge difference. Sex isn’t a bargaining chip lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 07:49 PM

At no point did I say you couldn’t.

Ok I see the point. Thanks for clarifying.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 07:12 PM

Because that’s what she’s deciding to do. You can wait or move on. But don’t expect her to change her time frame because of this.

Why are comments being deleted? Asking, not arguing.

No it isn’t about monogamy but you can apply it if it works for you. That’s just not my point. No issue if it’s yours though.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 06:10 PM

No. The text is telling women how to avoid being victims.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 06:09 PM

I didn’t mention monogamy. I’m just telling women that they should do what they feel comfortable with and not succumb to pressure to do anything else.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 06:07 PM
1

No. The post is directed at women. Not men.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 06:06 PM
2

That’s the point. It’s better to be up front about expectations and desires but the problem is people don’t always do that. People lie. This advice is geared towards helping people not fall for lies and only do what they feel comfortable with. This advice is speaking from the perspective of a woman who prefers to wait until she’s comfortable to have sex instead of succumbing to pressure and the promise of a relationship if she does have sex. This is about her because of the man isn’t happy with …
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 06:06 PM

This is actually advice to help women take accountability and make decisions on their own. If she decides to have sex without coercion, there is no blame on the man.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 06:00 PM
3

Here it is. Another manipulation tactic. Trying to convince women that their morals and beliefs are actually fake societal constructs instead of what they actually believe. There are plenty of women who have sex without commitment and that’s fine. But that’s more manipulation, telling a woman other women do it so you should also. The fact is women are different. What one woman will do, another won’t. If there are women who are happily having sex with criteria that is similar to yours, then pursu…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:59 PM

False. She’s not using sex for anything. She’s waiting until she is comfortable and trusts him enough to have sex with him.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:46 PM
4

It is withholding because I’m sure you can see there are men who feel entitled to sex with a woman after a certain period of time. It’s also withholding because it’s desired.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:45 PM
2

False. You use someone for sex by promising them a relationship, for example, in order to get sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:44 PM
4

That’s the whole point I’m making.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:40 PM
2

So your logic is because it’s done to you, it’s ok to do it to others? Yet another red flag to Avoid.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:38 PM
4

This is the definition of being intentionally obtuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:37 PM
1

Well then she has to look at herself for that since she came to the conclusion on her own without any coercion to have sex and it still went downhill.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:35 PM
2

Withhold means refusing to give something that is owed or desired. Someone can desire sex therefore someone not giving it is withholding it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:31 PM
2

And that doesn’t make it ok. Which is why I’m sharing my thoughts on how to avoid this.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:28 PM

Yeah man thanks for the discussion also. Have a great day.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:54 PM
2

I’m offering men a way to protect themselves from something they’re worried about or have experienced before as manipulation isn’t something that only women face. Not exactly the same as your point. Side note: manipulation doesn’t work that easily on me.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:53 PM
1

My post is about women avoiding men who are trying to manipulate them into sex with the promise of a relationship if she does. You have a great day also.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:46 PM
1

So no problem. Glad we’re on the same page.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:46 PM
3

Understood. My bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:44 PM
2

That’s why I said it’s fine for men to withhold access to money and resources until they’re comfortable 😁
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:44 PM
3

Men are allowed to have boundaries to protect themselves as well. This isn’t gender specific.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:43 PM
3

Wrong. The point is to eliminate men who only want sex or who want sex quicker than a woman is comfortable with.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:42 PM
2

Requiring sex before a certain deadline is going to be a turn off for some women. Women should be allowed to wait for sex until they’re comfortable and sure they want to have sex with you. A woman who you don’t know doesn’t know she wants to have sex with you. It takes time for that desire to develop. It develops at different stages for different people.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:42 PM
5

If you understand not wanting to be lied to then you understand my post. Calling manipulative tactics out isn’t “shaming language”. That’s a weak defense to being called out.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:39 PM
2

Yes, you are dating in response to your first paragraph. I agree with everything in your last paragraph.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:38 PM
6

Lol that’s funny. You don’t know every woman’s past. You just feel entitled to sex and use this as your justification. Exactly the kind of guy I’m saying to avoid.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:35 PM
3

Correct. No worries. At least you understand. People are committed to reading what they want 😁
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:31 PM
2

If she’s dating you then she is interested, at Least those are the women I’m speaking about. She just wants to make sure sex is a good idea with you. You don’t know what price Chad paid or how long he waited.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:29 PM
1

That’s the point. There are men who expect sex by a certain point.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:24 PM
5

Then you can’t be upset if she doesn’t keep the same “price” for every man or if she’s fucking another guy while getting to know you.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:21 PM
2

Ok the point I’m making is sex before the relationship though.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:17 PM
4

Women view a man promising a relationship if she has sex before a deadline as manipulation.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:17 PM
2

That’s what I did. Don’t fall for pressure tactics.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:16 PM
5

Sure. When she makes it clear that she’s looking for a relationship and a man says he is also when he is lying to her just to have sex with her. She is then being used for sex if they have sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:15 PM
2

Exactly. And that’s what I’m trying to tell women. Don’t let a man convince her to have sex before she’s ready because he promises a relationship if she does. That sounds like manipulation to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:13 PM
3

And this is what manipulation sounds like. A person has every reason to be cautious with who they have sex with.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:12 PM
6

Intentionally obtuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:11 PM
1

Good thing that's not happening across the board. You wouldn’t know unless you date men. Yes, it is. You said it wasn’t not me. This is not happening across the board so you have reason to worry. You wouldn’t know unless you date men. In which case changing your mind about a person is not. But saying the opposite of the truth is. Nobody said it wasn't? If you have a cuck fetish just say that, it explains. If any fetish is fine then good. No issue. Why are assuming he's lying then? I assume every…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:10 PM
7

I did mention it being fine for men to withhold access to their resources and money until they’re sure this isn’t what she’s after. Trying to get ASAP isn’t good advice at all as it doesn’t respect whether or not the woman is ready for sex. This is what I’m talking about, avoid men who push for sex before the woman is ready.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:05 PM
3

Of course. But there are some good liars and manipulators. Which is why I say it’s best to wait until she is sure she’s making the right decision.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:01 PM
2

First, this is about a woman not having sex before she is comfortable doing so. Second, if she is comfortable and ready for sex with one man sooner than the other then that means she liked the first man more. That’s the point, women have sex when they’re ready.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:56 PM
7

And this shows that you don’t understand sex from the female perspective. Sex is much more intimate and emotional for women than just something “fun” (not all women but some) and that’s why they desire more of an emotional connection and relationship interest when having sex. There are men who clearly understand that since they lie and use this to get sex. Being lied to is what makes this hurtful. Feeling taken advantage of and duped.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:55 PM
2

There are many women who agree with what I’m saying and will move on once they find out you have a deadline for sex to happen instead of respecting that she isn’t comfortable with sex yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:52 PM
5

That’s a good idea but people don’t do that. Men will say they want a relationship but only want sex and that’s why I made this post.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:49 PM
4

That’s the problem. The point isn’t to make a man stay who wants to leave. The point is to get men who aren’t compatible to leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:48 PM
6

Exactly.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:23 PM
3

No sorry. If I come across it, I will link it. I’m saving your comment for that purpose.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:12 PM
11

That’s the point.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:11 PM
12

Sex can be something that one partner wants and the other isn’t ready for. That creates the give/receive dynamic.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:11 PM
4

So then why would anyone be upset with her for changing what she values in a partner for sex and her methods for determining if he’s the right guy?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:10 PM
3

I don’t expect a woman to a put a man’s self image over her own comfort and desire to have sex. If she’s ready sooner with one than another then she is. It’s no ones place to tell her she should be ready at the same time for every guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:00 PM
3

No this does not imply that relationships are transactional as the woman is not having sex in exchange for a relationship. She is waiting until she is comfortable with a man and trust that his intentions are genuine before having sex with him.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 11:58 AM
2

Is this post written by your ex? Obviously she disagrees and thinks differently than the women my post is aimed at.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 11:49 AM
6

Until she is comfortable and trusts him enough to have sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 11:48 AM
3

And the men who dont want to “reward” this behavior are the exact ones my post is speaking about it being best to avoid. That’s my point. When it comes to sex, everyone won’t be treated the same. That’s just how it goes. He might get it and you might now. The requirements for you and for him might be different. That’s just how it is. I understand that’s not pleasant to hear but it happens. Some don’t even realize they’re doing it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 11:39 AM
11

If they’re comfortable then they’re comfortable and sex happens. What’s the problem?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 11:35 AM
2

Not sure what that means.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 11:33 AM
5

Wrong. Nowhere did I say women don’t use men or that only women experience manipulative tactics in dating and relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 11:24 AM
5

Are you implying that only good looking men are fuckboys and the less conventionally attractive ones are the good ones where women will find happy and healthy relationships with?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 11:20 AM
2

Does it matter if he only liked you for sex if you also liked having sex with him? It’s up to each individual woman to decide this. Some women don’t like being liked for only sex. I had this debate a few days ago with another female user here. It seems many women here have this egotistical belief that they lose value or they're worthless if they're only wanted for sex. Which is nonsense as unconditional love or attraction does not exist; sometimes you're only wanted for sex. Sometimes you're wan…

all a woman has to do is ask the guy if he wants a relationship with her if he doesn't answer her yes or no. Then LEAVE him it's her fault. Saying you want a relationship and then changing your mind is not lying. Lying about wanting a relationship when you just want sex though is. Not in this context. Still not an issue. Saying you want a relationship and then changing your mind, yea that not a lie. Saying you want a relationship when you just want sex is lying. Nope, depends on what you conside…

I’ve agreed in another comment that isn’t gender specific and that women do indeed string men along as well. The whole point of this courting is to raise expectations. What you're calling for is to make everyone autistic and no longer play the game of waving pussy/waving relationship, erasing most of the surrounding intrigue people are attracted to in the first place. I’m not sure where you got this from but it’s not what I’m saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 07:24 AM

Men wanting sex sooner than she’s interested in having it would be the vetting gender in my reply. If he is upfront about wanting sex only then she could make a much quicker and informed decision.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 07:08 AM
5

The same could be said for men who just want sex and not a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 06:48 AM

It’s advice I’ve seen given to women on various dating and relationships subs as well as on Facebook and in person.

I don’t think many women are surprised. I think many expect it lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:52 AM
3

That’s not my point. If a woman wants to have sex then she should. The point is not be convinced to have sex sooner than she’s comfortable because he claims he will give her a relationship if the sex is good. Fuckboys, for the most part, drop off quickly if they don’t get sex. So that’s the point in making them wait.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:27 AM

I don’t think they’d be interested in you.

Stop trying to remove accountability from women, women end up getting pumped and dumped because they do not look at the obvious signs right in front of them. Simple common sense solution if she is really looking for a relationship ASK him if he wants a relationship with her if he gives an ambiguous answer and anything other than yes or no, then leave him. Simple solution. Stop trying to remove accountability from men and the lies they tell to get what they want. Let’s not ignore that men manipul…

That’s actually very good to hear. And I’m glad that you and those women had experiences based on honest and no one feels misled. Good on you.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 05:00 AM
9

That’s why I mentioned men withholding money and access to resources until he’s sure that’s not what he’s being used for.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:50 AM
16

This would be fine if men were straightforward in saying they just want sex or they want a relationship and actually being honest about it. Then women would be more free with their decisions.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:49 AM
4

Some women say the relationship or even marriage comes first. Then sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:46 AM
2

That doesn’t negate my point that there are men who know how to manipulate women and get sex so that is not obvious.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:46 AM
10

This is different than what I’m speaking about. I’m solely talking about women who hold out on sex while getting to know a man and until they’re comfortable.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:37 AM
4

And there are women who want men who care about an entire relationship and not just sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:30 AM
2

I never said it’s always hard to see. Many times it’s very noticeable. But there are times when a man knows what to say and do to manipulate and hide his true intentions. Are you denying that? Making a profile would give you the perspective from a woman’s point of view. It’s very eye opening.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:25 AM
10

And there are women who are interest in men who understand their boundaries and the reasons behind them and won’t insult them and call them names just because he didn’t get his way.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:22 AM
4

Except they were never "really" fooled, they just say that because it feels better than taking accountability which women hate doing. What really happens is women will have sex with a guy they like and then he will leave for whatever reason and then she will say she was used when in reality he never said or implied commitment at all. False. This is just a way to blame the woman and go right back to wanting sex quicker than she’s comfortable with just because some other guy got it. .....you think…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:20 AM
13

You think it’s unfair for a woman to change her standards but it’s totally fair for you to demand sex at the same “price” as someone else? Hilarious. Women are allowed to learn from their mistakes and change their behavior whenever they want to.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:05 AM
4

It’s easy to say with no experience. Like I said, make a female profile and see for yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:04 AM
11

False. My advice works for men who are genuinely interested in a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 04:00 AM
4

I can’t answer that question.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:30 AM
10

They’re not though. Not all. That’s the thing. There are men who have learned what to say and do to manipulate more naive women into sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:30 AM
1

It is when you're using an action or lack of action to gain something in the process. That's the manipulation. It’s not being used to gain something. It’s actually being used to lose something. The objective is evaluate a potential partner and make sure there’s compatibility before investing too deeply. It’s wise. I didn't say anything about what their "best option" is, but women should be having sex whenever they are ready, not withholding it just because they're still not sure because they suc…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:24 AM
26

Not there haha that’s not what I’m talking about. Intentionally obtuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:15 AM
1

The manipulation part, except in your comment, she's using it as a shield to protect herself instead of a sword to get what she wants with it. Absurd lol protecting yourself from being hurt is not manipulation of another person. A person who thinks this way should be avoided at ALL COSTS. They do not have your interest in mind. Women's only choices seem to be withhold and push herself out of the dating pool or take the chance and be disappointed most of the time. Not at all. A woman’s best optio…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:13 AM
22

Walk you through how it would happen that someone would lie to get sex? Like I said, let’s not be intentionally obtuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:07 AM
5

Yeah it’s not far off.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:06 AM
3

I’ve made that post already.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:05 AM
33

I was waiting for this comment. Being used for sex means that sex was given under false pretenses. We all know that. Let’s not be intentionally obtuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:05 AM
12

The thing is the men arguing with what I’m saying passionately are actually showing me that what I’m saying is right. I’m willing to bet more and more women are wising up and being cautious about who they give sex to and it’s becoming harder for these men to get sex. And this post doesn’t help them at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:04 AM
6

And women who think like what I’m describing should discard of men like this immediately.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:02 AM
28

Withholding sex wont guarantee a relationship but neither will having sex sooner. But having sex sooner opens a woman up more to being used for sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 03:01 AM
1

It is both wrong and unhelpful as I’ve seen it not help lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:59 AM
3

That's ambiguous, because I can say says a lot about how she views sex and relationships. Women who party and hook up all their years then want to settle down for a relationship deploy this type of strategy because they know they have nothing else to offer so they use sex as an object of desire to get men to commit to them. Not all women do this but a good handful of them do, the problem is men can't tell who the good ones are and who are just doing this because they do want to get hurt. That's …
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:56 AM
5

Not a huge difference there, honestly. The two are basically fraternal twins. From the same grain, but slightly different. What exactly is similar? Yes, or she will be wrong and he ghosts after sex. Where's the middle ground here because I don't see it. I’m not following this point. It's an important question because it's something that does currently happen. People are always seeing multiple other people. That’s outside of the scope of my point.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:47 AM
5

Yet some don’t know it or need to hear it said straight.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:44 AM
3

Just because you didn’t claim that it doesn’t have exceptions doesn’t mean I haven’t seen your advice proven wrong and unhelpful. Lol That doesn’t answer my question though. You’re saying it’s not a shaming or scare tactic. Then what should I make of it if I know it’s wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:44 AM
7

1) no one said anything about disliking sex. 2) what mindset? This is something some men are trying to convince women of lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:42 AM
8

Not at all. There’s no guarantee for when a woman will feel comfortable. She may decide that night or in a week. But I will agree that after a certain point, she isn’t interested. And if after a certain point, she isn’t sure, it’s best to go with “no” and move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:41 AM
3

Wrong. If you think that’s true, make a fake dating profile as an attractive woman and you’ll see what I mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:32 AM
7

I also want to add that sometimes women don’t have sex because they’re just not into you that much which is different and I’m not advocating for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:28 AM
13

Ok, I understand your thoughts. Let me see if I can offer some insight here. Some men know the right things to say and/or do to get more naive women to give them sex with minimal effort. Sometimes you come across these women after they’ve learned that lesson and don’t want to go through it again. It’s like if you put your hand under running water and get burned. Wouldn’t you be a little more cautious going forward? Hopefully that offers some insight.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:27 AM
10

So you’re suggesting that the only men who offer relationships are men who can’t get sex casually?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:24 AM
4

Doesn't have to. I'm sure women would try if they could but thats also not how it works so they can't. You know what’s funny? I’m not even denying that there are women who will use sex as a means of manipulation. I’m not advocating for those women. I’m only speaking to women who want to wait to have sex until they’re comfortable and confident that she and the man are on the same page. That's a bad strategy because guys will wait. If it's too long, she will push away all men except low-libido men…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:19 AM
5

What should I make of your advice if I’ve seen it proven wrong then? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:16 AM
19

Bingo. Wanting a woman to fuck when she’s not comfortable isn’t something someone who cares about her would want.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:15 AM
10

If she plays it right, she won’t be used for sex. She will find sex within a relationship structure to her and her partner’s satisfaction. That’s the goal.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:11 AM
7

Again, she’s not using sex to force a man to commit. She’s holding out on sex to see if he drops off and shows his true interest was sex or if he’s genuinely interested in her. And also to see if she even likes him enough to have sex with him.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:08 AM
2

There’s nothing hypocritical about a person changing their standards or preferences. So then if it’s not the whole relationship then there shouldn’t be an issue with a woman waiting to make sure this is a man she wants to give sex to. Just as a man waits to make sure this is a woman he wants to commit and give access to his resources to. What is he offering that she isn’t? The whole point of my post is that a woman should give sex to a man when she feels comfortable doing so. Not letting others …
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:06 AM
7

And men use relationships as a way to get what they want: sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:59 AM
18

It’s not used to force a man to do what she wants. It’s used to distinguish men who want the same as her from men who do not.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:58 AM
5

I’d also argue that women shouldn’t be giving sex just to get a relationship if she’s not comfortable with it yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:54 AM
8

I didn’t give a time frame. It’s about when she feels comfortable with giving sex to the man. It’s about not giving him sex until she has come to the conclusion that he isn’t just using her for sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:53 AM
3

Let’s assume that’s true. That would mean it’s up to her which is more important: her morals or having a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:52 AM
3

So then she wants to wait until marriage. Do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:49 AM
18

Because those are men who want sex with minimal effort. Nothing will anger them more than a woman giving another man sex with minimal effort but not them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:48 AM
9

Lol this post should’ve shown you that I’m not easily convinced of bullshit. Shaming and scaring tactics don’t work on me as being single is a better option than being unhappy with someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:46 AM
2

The right advice is to withhold sex until you feel comfortable having sex with him.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:45 AM
3

Some women consider relationship interest a requirement for access to their body. And some women don't, but then change their mind and all of a sudden do. So? Wrong, because a relationship is MORE than just sex, sex is supposed to be a mutual experience between two people who supposedly like each other physically or emotionally, withholding sex means you have nothing to offer in a relationship so you have to use sex as a bargaining tool, you are not really looking for "love" and connection. Wome…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:43 AM
2

So you’re saying I should tell her she’s wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:38 AM
3

Yeah, I don’t follow fds. I’m also not telling women what to do. I’m actually telling women not to be convinced to do something other than what they think is right. I also didn’t make that post so whatever time frame they gave has nothing to do with me. I never gave a time frame. Only each individual can determine their time frame.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:38 AM
16

It is shaming and meant to scare because the whole purpose of dating, preferences, standards, etc is to eliminate certain people from our options.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:35 AM
22

These statistics sound like they were created just to convince women to have sex sooner. The reality of the situation is that men will use women for sex and women are trying to avoid that by withholding. It’s not weaponizing or using it for compliance. The goal is to let the ones who only want sex drop off.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:33 AM
3

Then she wasn’t used for sex and withheld it the proper amount of time to make sure she and the guy were on the same page. This is exactly my point. Notice I never gave a time frame.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:31 AM
1

I respect your right to disagree but I didn’t name a time frame.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:29 AM
2

When I come across some in the future, I will save them and link them back here. I’m saving your comment for that purpose.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:28 AM
3

If she’s satisfied then she’s satisfied. I can’t tell her that it’s a failure if she is happy with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:28 AM
5

Length doesn’t confirm a relationship. The level of satisfaction both partners have/had with it is what validates it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:26 AM
6

False. The post speaks to women who have had bad experiences with having sex earlier than they’re comfortable with and offers an alternative.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:25 AM
3

And if what you’re suggesting leaves them single and feeling used then which is the better choice? With the two options, I’d choose being single instead of being single and hurt.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:24 AM
3

Yes they do. I just don’t understand where you’re going with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:22 AM
4

What are the previous methods though? This is actually offering a new method.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:21 AM
4

I don’t follow your logic. Because I’m pointing out that one piece of advice isn’t geared to helping a woman find a long term relationship somehow means that a woman shouldn’t be ok with being single over used?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:20 AM
28

And this is another tactic used. Trying to scare a woman into sex with the use of “you’ll be single forever if you don’t!” There are many women who would prefer to be single than used for sex. Being a scared bunny and protecting yourself from being used aren’t comparable. Enough women have been strung along because they have sex to give validity to their concerns.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:18 AM
9

Who said this strategy has failed for 10 plus years with no success though?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:15 AM
8

Not exactly. Women aren’t treating sex as something to be won or earned. It’s something they are interested in giving to certain men that meet their requirements and preferences. I’m sure you already understand that most people don’t just have sex with anyone and instead have some sort of base requirements. Some women consider relationship interest a requirement for access to their body. And they aren’t interested in having sex with a man who doesn’t view them as worth a relationship. He won’t g…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:14 AM
5

I figured that would go without saying. It’s easy to find a warm body to lay with. It becomes harder with each requirement you add. It’s up for everyone to decide which is more important: having someone or each of their requirements.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:11 AM
5

At no point did I say there was a problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:08 AM
7

Just as if the man drops off, he’s forgotten. She will move on to the next. As you said, everyone is replaceable.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:07 AM
9

The other side to this is women aren’t interested in giving access to their body under the false belief that the man is interested in being with them. Only to get strung along because he’s getting sex and doesn’t want to go back to getting none. It’s hurtful for women and they’d rather avoid it. So they have things they do to protect themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:06 AM
7

And this is the mentality of a man that a woman who wants to wait isn’t compatible with. Easier to wait before you get what you want. Let you drop off and find someone else and she does the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:03 AM
13

If there’s an abundance of women wanting to fuck at the drop of the hat then there’s no reason to convince the one who wants to wait to fuck now. Seems like a waste of effort if that girl already has her panties down.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 01:01 AM
12

Correct. That’s my point. Don’t be convinced until you see the blood of the goat in the gutter.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:57 AM
26

Withholding sex has gone past accepting consequences for actions. Maybe she was taken advantage of before and has decided to wait. Maybe she just feels more comfortable waiting. Whatever. Fact is now she wants to wait. If a woman prefers to wait then she’s not compatible with the guys who want to fuck right now anyway so it saves everyone some time. But by the same token, I don’t want to hear men complaining that they don’t get sex. You could but you don’t want to offer anything in return.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:57 AM
12

That’s the part. There are women not interested in being used for your sexual pleasure while you date another woman with a relationship in mind.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:54 AM
11

A lot of women aren’t interested in having sex with a man and the relationship isn’t going anywhere. So she withholds to make sure he’s not just trying to use her for that purpose. Fucking sooner would just open her to being used more.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:53 AM
6

Yeah, I’m not saying she’s perfect or a virgin because she’s withholding. I’m just saying there’s nothing wrong with evaluating a potential love interest before giving them everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:50 AM
13

And she is allowed to change her standards at any time for any reason. Everyone is replaceable now Yes, exactly.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:47 AM
3

I think there is a reasonable amount of time but my time frame may not be the same as others. So yes I do agree with what you’re saying. Just that saying that the time may be different for everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 12:42 AM
1

All sexual history should be don’t ask, don’t tell in my opinion. Only exceptions would be an STD or something that could affect the other person.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/21 03:28 AM
1

Yeah, I’ve explained it twice actually. I don’t have the patience to keep doing it or going back into the convo to quote.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 10:53 AM
1

If you want, you can go back and read the comments. It’s back there. I don’t have the patience to be honest.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 07:13 AM
1

And I’ve explained that already.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 07:02 AM
1

And I’m telling you I disagree and that I’ve explained it the best I can at this point.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 06:56 AM
1

I mean, I explained it already.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 06:53 AM
1

I don’t have an answee for that question.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 06:52 AM
1

No. Men wanted to be providers and leaders. So they were given that and women yielded. So then men were tasked with being providers for women who had no marketable skills and were just homemakers. Divorce laws ensured women wouldn’t end up without income after divorce. And that’s how we have alimony. It’s not necessary anymore because women have careers. Sure, some don’t want it to go away, and some couldn’t care less. But it’s still outdated.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 06:45 AM
1

But they have the ability to earn their own money without depending on men so that means it’s outdated.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 06:16 AM
1

It’s definitely outdated.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 06:09 AM
1

Well yeah, that’s because marriage is still set up to make sure a woman doesn’t end up homeless and starve to death after a divorce. Men were the breadwinners and women were home makers with no marketable skills. Of course it was arranged this way. It’s outdated.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 05:58 AM
1

Is that the punishment for women who don’t want to fuck you?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 04:59 PM
-3

What a coincidence, I think I don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 04:30 PM
1

It’s definitely hard if she’s not happy with the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 03:38 PM
-3

The point is men want the woman’s relationship benefits without providing the benefits women enjoy.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 09:52 AM
1

Yeah ok I missed the idea behind that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 09:50 AM
1

Haha cute.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 05:37 AM
1

Here in New York, anything acquired during marriage must be split in half. That’s how our laws are written. I looked into this and that’s what prevented me from marrying.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 04:25 AM
-3

The issue is men want to avoid responsibility and be self serving while still expecting a woman to provide them with sex, companionship, and other relationship benefits without the relationship. If he’s a MGTOW type then that’s different.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 03:43 AM
12

I’m a millennial and I really like Gen Z. I’ve always been child free. Imagine trying to explain that to boomer parents.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 03:20 AM
1

Well in marriage, it’s expected that both contribute to building. That’s why I’m divorce the split is 50/50. So a woman who earns more can contribute more. At least how I see it. The exception to their dependence on taxes and other government monies is of course if they work and earn it themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 02:35 AM
1

You mean guys don’t care about a woman’s career? But yeah, I see the point. I personally prefer a person I can have an intellectual conversation with but can also tell 7th grade jokes with. I think it goes back to how women married for financial security just a few decades ago and much of history. It still hasn’t faded out even though women have the ability to provide for themselves now.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 12:36 AM
1

Percentage wise? What do you mean? And what’s the downside to the $400 tech dishwasher? It sounds more appealing in my opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 12:28 AM
1

I don’t know why people think women don’t value looks that much. It’s been said over and over that women prefer tall men with a masculine and well kept appearance. Like you mentioned incels, they can definitely tell you this is true. About preferring stupid women, I don’t know about that one. It doesn’t make much sense to me. Unless they’re looking for someone they can manipulate and get over on. Which id like to believe isn’t the majority.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/21 10:45 PM
1

Looks are always more important as that’s what gets her talking to you. Nothing else can be seen And create an impression the way looks can. A good example of men doing things for themselves that waste money without impressing women: sneakers and loud cars. I’m in a few different sneaker subs as well as car groups. Men spend lots of money on Both of these things while women have expressed they don’t like either.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/21 07:57 PM
1

Men are quite aware that skin care is important in attracting women. So it’s not just them who is concerned with it, those they want to attract also care about it. And if they have no reason to care about it, then there would be no reason for men to seek out skin care help or adopt some practices they learn from women. Saying men don’t care about these things is false.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/21 06:42 PM
1

I don’t see how skin care and putting effort into appearance is considered sensitive and woman like. Especially since women are attracted to men who take care of their appearance.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/21 06:22 PM
1

No, not all. My point is they’re unaware. Women just show them what they’re missing.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/21 06:18 PM
1

I mean that’s fine, but what you said was basically the same as what I said.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/21 06:15 PM
1

Sounds like exactly what I said with more buzz words.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/21 06:14 PM

Uh no. Looking at women’s skin and their hair, it’s usually much better maintained than a man’s. So his two in one shampoo may be good enough for him but he doesn’t realize that it is not good. Frozen meals are unhealthy. Usually high in fat, sodium, and other preservatives. A home cooked meal is certainly a better option, health wise. Based on what you’re describing, men do what’s good enough for them without the knowledge that better options exist. Many men will even admit that they enjoy usin…

This is just fun to me, that's why I keep commenting. I know I should stop and not be such a dick about this, sorry if I'm actually bothering you or something. I like banter too much sometimes. That’s what everyone always says. When the fact of the matter is no one likes having their stance called out or challenged. That’s why you want to throw insults and be a dick. Honestly, you just sound upset because you know your stance was called out and exposed as nonsense. And now you’re taking it personally. If that was really your intention, you could’ve done it regardless of what I said. Nice try. No one asked about your comments being upvoted either but you shared.

Most people agree with the way I used the term and disagree with the nonsense you said. Either way her reasoning is on point and I’ve explained it. You just don’t understand it which is why it sounds bad to you and only you.

Are we going to have to teach you English too? If you expect clarification then I need to understand what your point is. LMAO and why would that be the case? Because then you have another reason for being there than just free food. It doesn't need to be the only reason, you can use people for more than one thing at a time. And again, it absolutely could be the only reason you're going. If you go to a hairdresser that's kind instead of rude, that doesn't mean you're going for their kindness, you'…

The only requirement is that you need to have used someone for food. I don't know why this is so hard to understand. Because thats not even a complete statement. Nah you're still using someone for food if you use someone for food whom you enjoy. Your not going on the date to pursue a romantic interest, you're going to get food. If he also pays for your Uber, entertains you, gives you a ride to work after the date etc etc. that doesn't mean you're not using him for food. No, if you enjoy them the…

Well if you're giving yourself arbitrary rules on who you can and cannot use than yeah of course it's stupid. You could just abandon these arbitrary rules though. They aren’t arbitrary rules. Using someone for food has requirements that need to be met. Otherwise it doesn’t fall under that category. They do if the person feels the food wouldn't be worth it if the dude wasn't also entertaining Then it’s not using them for food. It’s going out to enjoy the other person. Even if we were to limit the discussion to just using someone for free food, which is dumb in and of itself, you can use some one just for the free food while picking someone who is entertaining. Being entertaining doesn't prevent people from using you for free food. No one said using someone for free food isn’t stupid lol that’s why there are people saying they wouldn’t do it. People who use others free food don’t require that the person be entertaining. All that matters is that they’re offerin…

You're wrong. You can use people for more than one thing at once. You can use someone and enjoy their company at the same time. This isn't controversial. I never said you couldn’t. We are just speaking about using someone for free food and nothing else. You can only use someone for free food if that’s the only reason you showed up. Why would that be the case? Because the person wants free food. Yes of course. But just because he wasn't annoying and told a couple of good jokes doesn't mean you we…

Yes and we are currently debating whether or not her reasons for not doing this are rational, if you didn't notice.... Which I’ve said they are and explained why. Ftfy. She said she wouldn't use people for food, meaning she would only date with the intent of pursuing a romantic relationship. This is a small subset of the men who she would enjoy going out with. I’m literally saying it’s a guy whose company she wouldn’t enjoy. For whatever reason. So if she doesn’t enjoy his company, the only motive would be going for free food. No lol. I’m not understanding why this is complicated either. It’s Very simple. Some men are worth going on a date with because their company is worthwhile. Some are not for the same reason: they’re boring, uninteresting, lack of attraction, etc. but some women will still choose to go on a date with men they feel this way about because of free food. She’s saying it’s not worth going on a date with someone she feels this way about just to get free food. Which makes a lot of sense lol.

Oh ok I see the misunderstanding. Let me explain. The point is that it’s a man who the woman isn’t interested in. Not someone she is interested in. Because in order to go on a date for just food, then the woman would have to not like the guy. Otherwise his company would be enjoyable and the reason for the date wouldn’t be just free food. No, of course not. From what I see most incels aren’t actually violent at all. But if they’re being rejected constantly, there has to be something that women are seeing as undesirable. Gymcels remove the idea that it’s just because of looks.

They’re lonely because according to them, they approach women and get rejected. So this should tell us that women are rejecting men based on some metric other than just looks. No?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/21 05:10 AM

But there are still incels who say they approach women and constantly get rejected. Some aren’t unattractive. So it seems women do reject men who are red flags, no?

I took it to be worded poorly and that the point was simply that going on a date with a man she has no interest in is not worth the $20 or whatever amount of free food. Going on a platonic date is different because that guy isn’t being used for free food but instead she enjoys his companionship.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/21 05:00 AM

But wasn’t Elliot Rodger angry because women didn’t give him chances? Even though he was conventionally physically attractive? Shouldn’t that tell us that women do avoid red flag men?

Because people who we (men and women) find attractive and who have things we want get treated differently than those who don’t. This is an old concept.

Hot take, we know. On the plus side, men will soon stop caring. So then stop caring. I believe women have asked men to stop trying to tell them what to do a long time ago. Maybe, just maybe, men have a protective instinct that's also partially indoctrinated into them, to protect women, even from themselves. You have no idea how aggravating it is to listen to someone else try and tell you what’s best for you. Even if you’re right, trying to force someone to do something usually results in them do…

The difference with the platonic friend and a “foodie call” is the platonic male friend isn’t paying for the woman’s meal. She’s not using him for food. She’s interested in spending time with him platonically and he’s aware of the that. The key here is honesty. Everyone knows what’s going on.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/21 01:21 AM

At 23 I was significantly more naive than as I was when I was older. Many other people say the same thing. The reason behind the advice is not to listen to societal pressure to rush into marriage and children before you are sure it’s something you want. There was a post in some subreddit where a woman married at 18 and had kids. She now resents her husband and her kids. This is a horrible situation for all involved and could’ve been avoided without the rush.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/21 01:18 AM

Which falls under the category of not being into him. If another guy can have her sexual interest without it being transactional then that means the original guy did not have her sexual interest.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/21 12:36 PM
3

If she isn’t benefiting from sex as much as the man then that means she’s not into him and is only doing it for something in return. This mentality continues because men continue to play into it and give women other things in exchange for sex.

A guy doesn’t have to be indecent to get laid. The point is decency is irrelevant when it comes to sexual desire. An unattractive decent guy can get laid by increasing his sex appeal. Increasing his physical attractiveness and learning how to make a woman comfortable with him and creating sexual desire in her.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 05:31 PM

Exactly. This is the mindset pushed by the red pill. They claim intelligence, education, career, and financial competence do not matter in a woman. But I think they actually prefer women without those traits. It’s easier to have the upper hand in the relationship that way but it’s a double edged sword. Marriage entitles the woman to his assets. So she will put up with him having the upper hand and submit to him long enough to have legal access to his assets then she will dispose of him.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 05:19 PM
2

I agree with this.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 05:16 PM

I agree with your statement. The only issue is that attractiveness and agreeableness is pushed by the red pill as what men should seek in a partner. Intelligence, career, education, and financial literacy are said to not matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 05:16 PM

Everything you said is actually in line with my point. Divorce being difficult to get and women having to stay in marriages because they couldn’t support themselves without their husband’s income further proves that it was common for a woman to marry a man for financial reasons. Now, with divorce being accessible and laws requiring assets be split and even alimony for the woman means the woman doesn’t have to stay in a miserable marriage for that financial security. And of course divorce rates w…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 03:41 PM

Exactly. Her losing her emotional investment is where the relationship will end. Divorced women want something for nothing for a few reasons I can think of off the top of my head. 1) she’s scorned. A hurt woman will do everything she can to hurt the man who hurt her. 2) she married the man for financial gain. She never cared about him, just his assets. He became unnecessary so she gets rid of him and legally keeps access to his assets.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 03:30 PM

Red pill men are those things? Im not arguing for or against your statement, I just don’t understand how men with those problems would even care about this conversation as they have nothing to lose.

Mostly true. But we have seen time and time again that an emotionally invested woman doesn’t go anywhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 03:25 PM

Women seem to marry out of pressure and desperation for a partner. Eventually that will wear off and then divorce happens. Then that feeling returns and the cycle repeats itself.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 03:24 PM
1

Still by taking anything, there is no real incentive for the opposite sex to better themselves. This applies to women as well since I’ve seen women settle for anything.

Exactly. Thank you.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 03:20 PM

They’re both the problem. Yes, she baited and switched. Her behavior here is predatory. Not denying that. He did marry down though if he married someone who has significantly less financial stability and assets than him. And by doing so, he opens himself up to a woman who has reason to bait and switch him for her own gain. Chances of this lessen when marrying a woman who had to work for all she has. Those women actually push for a prenup as well.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 11:37 AM

Exactly my point. They open themselves up to women who don’t have much who will take them for all they’re worth so she can have. Whereas a woman who worked to obtain financial success might be less likely to enter into a relationship solely for what he could do for her.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 11:36 AM
2

This has been discussed also. Taking financial gain from one relationship, using it to better herself, and then moving on to a more powerful/wealthy man.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 11:34 AM
1

Unfortunate but probably true. He would just have to fake a good enough personality while turning her on and he will get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 11:32 AM
2

if the woman can get cash and prizes for breaking up the relationship, she eventually will. I disagree. There are many fathers in the United States who aren’t on child support for whatever reason. This is my point. If the relationship was founded for financial gain on her part or simply because she prefers to have a man around, then yes, she will eventually end the relationship for money and other assets. Emotionally invested women aren’t going anywhere. We have seen evidence of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 11:31 AM

I agree with not getting married. Avoiding child support would be done by just not having children. If he wants children then that’s all on him as he’s responsible for half of the child(ren) he helped to create. Marrying for financial stability has been made obsolete since women have the ability to work and earn for themselves. The issue is that there are always people who would rather let others provide for them instead of doing it themselves. I believe a relationship built on genuine interest …

1) if only 20% of men are considered the top, and men are having a hard time finding women who are more in shape, prettier, higher income, etc. then wouldn’t it suggest that, even though there is always a reason to self improve, most people just don’t? 2) it’s shown that men desire sex more, yes. But I don’t think there’s this big of a difference. I think women also desire sex. So I think there’s more to the reasoning behind why men aren’t sexually satisfied.

Of course. Not trying to overlook all the other major reasons for divorce. Just bringing up that this might be a contributing factor. We could even say that women are more incentivized to divorce than not. That’s my whole point. I think it’s worth mentioning that a lot of women marry for disingenuous reasons. (No, not all. Two things. 1) wouldn’t it be possible to argue that men giving in and settling just to satisfy their need for sex is giving women no reason to better themselves in order to secure a mate? 2) why is it hard for men to satisfy their need for sex? Do their partners not want sex with them? Or are they just without a partner?

My parents are 11 years apart in age. My relationship has a 16 year age gap 😳 been together for 7 years now but I do see ways in which age gaps wouldn’t work. I think there are exceptions though.

Oh I know. I will look it up in a few mins. Right now I’m looking into the stats of age differences in marriage. Seems more than half of marriages are between couples where the man is 1-3 years older than the woman. Which is strange because it’s pushed that men marry much younger women. Another reason I think what you’re saying makes sense about age gaps contributing to divorce.

I’m not sure of the exact stats but what you’re saying does make a lot of sense.

Also a valid point. Making a decision on one factor alone and leaving other things unconsidered could -and most likely will- end badly.

I see marriage as only beneficial to couples who have nothing and plan to build together. Marriage provides protection to both partners since it’s expected that they would both contribute to purchases, neither would lose their contribution. Both would be entitled to half. If two people already have their lives built and don’t plan on making major purchases together, then I don’t see it as necessary. Marriage in the United States is a business contract, in my opinion. It certainly doesn’t make se…

I would always suggest a pre nup. The issue is in New York, a pre nup won’t protect anything acquired during marriage unless it’s inherited or a gift.

Thank you. I appreciate that.

Yep. Plenty are dedicated to arguing against this but accepting it and working with it would lead to more success in dating.

There are women who admit this as the truth. Many women don’t because it sounds shallow. We have been taught that being shallow and selfish is wrong; which I personally think is bullshit. There is someone else who commented and said that women have told him they’re with him because he’s sweet. And he genuinely believes it lol. But yes, you are correct.

Agreeableness in men might not be attractive because it can come across as disingenuous and it’s not masculine. Dominance in men is attractive. The articles you shared even said that. But these traits come into play after the woman finds a man physically attractive enough to continue talking to/dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 03:26 PM

According to the research, women perceived aggression as attractive and “nice guys” as lame. How are we defining what nice is? Because “nice” isn’t a trait. Whereas aggression and confidence can come across as masculine. Nevertheless, take aggression and confidence and place it in an unattractive man, and he would just be annoying. These traits in the tall, in shape man, and it’s attractive. Show me a story where women preferred the overweight, short bully over the tall, fit man with an ok perso…

I have had women come over to my place on the first meet and they told me to my face it was because "I was always sweet." You’re naive enough to think everyone tells you the truth to your face? Being “sweet” isn’t sexually attractive. These are just facts. I can tell you’re young and a bit inexperienced. Keep living.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 03:04 PM

Everything you said is wrong. No one likes a bully because he or she is a bully. This is very simple. The first thing someone notices about a potential mate is their looks. Looks open the door. The deadbeat drug dealer is pookie.

I didn’t get your point. Apologies.

Its been pushed by society that men want sex with many different partners and it’s women who look for monogamous relationships, commitment, and marriage. Hypergamy just tells me someone has standards for who they date. It doesn’t make sense to me to just accept whoever comes along.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 05:29 AM

The age of marriage and having children has been steadily rising. Women are focusing on their education and careers before starting a family, which is a new concept. But since women are still having sex, some have come to the conclusion that women want to have a lot of casual sex and “sample” many different options before actually marrying and having children.

Comfortable lies people tell themselves. It’s comfortable to believe that being a good person is enough for someone to want a relationship with them. It’s also comfortable to believe that anyone who doesn’t want a relationship with a good person must like assholes. It’s much easier than accepting that even though they’re good people, they still lack something the other person is looking for.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 04:54 AM

People say stupid things. Masculinity is not toxic and it is attractive to women. The issue is society has associated bad behavior with masculinity. The advice of just being yourself is also taken out of context. We all know we have to be slightly better version of ourselves in order to appeal to a potential mate. What’s meant is to be authentic. Don’t fake who you are or try to be someone you are not. Inauthenticity is noticeable and unattractive. Hoping I made some sense there.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 03:13 AM

Right. So?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 03:09 AM

No one is trying to push the idea that women reward good behavior with sex. There are whole Subreddits dedicated to making fun of the idea that good behavior should be rewarded with sex. Sexual attraction followed by not being too much of an asshole to run her off is rewarded with sex. The end.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 03:08 AM

Ok, it’s assumed that hot guys are assholes because hot guys didn’t have to develop much of a personality to get women. So, not necessarily an asshole but could just be a boring, less interesting person than the good guy who is average looking. Being average looking doesn’t guarantee that someone will be a good person. So to answer this question, nice ugly person = Hot asshole. Reason: neither one would have sexual desire from me.

People who make that argument contradict themselves with the whole “Chad” stereotype. According to them, Chad has no personality or a shitty one but still gets laid. But it’s not obviously because he looks good.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/21 09:27 PM

Yes because sexual attraction starts with what we see. Women get sexually aroused by looks also.

Guys don’t get sex because of how good of a man they are. Good and bad aren’t as important as sexual attraction and chemistry. You get laid if you can create sexual chemistry and the woman is attracted to you. I don’t know why this is so complicated.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/21 05:19 PM

I left out a third option actually. Self improvement so you can reach a different type of woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 06:15 AM

If modern women bring nothing to the table as it seems this post describes, then don’t get married. It’s simple. But the fact that this topic keeps getting brought up leads me to believe that men actually want to get married but aren’t happy with their options. Still you have two choices, select from your available options or stay single. So to answer your question, why should he marry, because he wants to.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 06:09 AM

Those are just passive aggressive people. They’re afraid of conflict, so they express their frustration in an indirect way. It’s nothing new. These types of people have always existed.

Men are disposable to women because society has set an idea that women aren’t complete unless they have a man. No matter how successful or accomplished she is, she will still get asked why she doesn’t have a man. So, some women have bought into this and tend to get into relationships with whatever they can get instead of waiting for a man that she truly likes and wants to be with.

Playing sports through high school and college and never being drafted means you had your shot and flunked out. Being an astronaut is also a career that you would be preparing for long before (hopefully) marriage and kids even became a thought. And if someone makes the decision to get married or makes the mistake of having a child that early, then they still fucked their chances up. You missed my point. These are childhood dreams. You had your whole life to work toward it. A woman can not just c…

Did the author of that article ever consider that the man didn’t achieve his dream of being an astronaut or star quarterback because he just wasn’t talented enough? And being without a wife and kid won’t change that? Since when doesn’t a person grow out of their childhood dreams and pursue more realistic ones? No one can force anyone to marry. This is a conclusion people must -and do- come to on their own. Also worth mentioning, a man won’t commit because he doesn’t see a reason to commit with c…

Based on what she said, they left because they didn’t feel needed because of her financial and career status. That is insecurity. A person should be proud and celebrate their partner’s success. Nevertheless, she’s not obligated to take my advice. If having someone means that much to her, it’s easy to just accept the next guy that comes along and change yourself to accommodate.
/r/RedPillWomen03/05/21 05:20 AM

My opinion on this? Why be in a relationship where you going tit for tat? “She denied me sex so I’m denying her affection”. That sounds like more stress than the relationship is worth. Both are wrong to do.

You have to do whatever makes you happiest. Some women are happiest when they put all that time and effort into their appearance. My mother is one. She would spend an hour putting on her make up and doing her hair. I don’t get that. I shower, put lotion on, get dressed and leave. I prefer to sleep as long as possible before getting up and going. There’s not much more to say than just do what works for you. There are no benefits to the extra effort other than attention/compliments and the happine…

Here’s a point worth mentioning. Red pill women do more of what men want than other women. And if a relationship is what will make you happy, then it becomes easier to obtain the more you cater to the people you want to be with.

You’re confusing empathy with a lack of confidence. The thing about “psychopaths” and assholes is they are unapologetically themselves and there’s no hesitation. That’s the turn off.
