| -1 | Single woman says it's an 'instant turn off' when men don't pay for first datesMakes sense. Thank you for a helpful and insightful answer. The original article posted was about first dates so it would be someone I didn’t know knew very well. It’s tricky and while I am always willing and able to pay my way (or any date) on a first date, I’m not always sure how to broach the topic. And I didn’t even think about the ‘he may feel entitled to something’ aspect of it. Wow! | /r/MensRights | 07/12/20 12:56 AM |
| 0 | Single woman says it's an 'instant turn off' when men don't pay for first datesI appreciate the info. I live in southern North America. I am of Jamaican heritage, and Jamaican men will typically not split the bill or let the woman pay, no matter what. But I know other cultures are different. So thank you. | /r/MensRights | 06/12/20 08:52 PM |
| 1 | MansplainingI’ve heard this term used and it’s confusing. But I think if an explanation by a man to a woman was not requested, and/or includes a hint of condescension (real or perceived), and/or involves a topic on which the woman is an ‘expert’, it is mansplaining. | /r/MensRights | 06/12/20 05:41 PM |
| 3 | That’s it. I’m through.She sounds dumb and immature. And I’m a woman. | /r/MensRights | 06/12/20 05:30 PM |
| -3 | Single woman says it's an 'instant turn off' when men don't pay for first datesI’m a female and I’m just asking, so please don’t attack... lol. I have no problem with coffee as a first date (I’d probably prefer it - less pressure for everyone ). But does it make a difference who asked who out for the date as far as who pays? Also, do men ever feel emasculated if the woman pays the bill? What is a good way for a woman to offer to pay or offer to split the bill ? | /r/MensRights | 06/12/20 05:28 PM |
