Mansplaining

Welcome to the dystopia. Sexism is the new antisexism, and regress is the new progress. War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.

The sex that fares objectively worse on just about every metric of social disenfranchisement gets reviled as oppressors. The sex that fares better gets infantilized and regarded as perpetual victims (which, in this delightful dystopia, is also one of the highest honors one can receive). Furthermore, we are all free and even encouraged to "punch down" at the first group, while the second group is considered entirely above reproach.

To "mansplaining" specifically, even the origin of the term reveals that it's complete bullshit. A dude was talking to a Rebecca Solnit and asked if she was familiar with this "important new book" that he'd heard about. Little did he know, she was actually the author! Now, a normal person would take that as a funny coincidence and a compliment, to boot. Alas, she is no normal person. She's a feminist, so she contextualized it as an oppressive behavior on the part of an evil male.

That all happened in 2008, riding high on the early wave of the Great Awokening. So it took root and we've been living with that nonsense ever since.

It's another buzzword used by 'some people/idiots' to try and bully others into silence.
Imagine seeing a woman lose her sanity when you explain 'womansplaining' and how she was doing it. 😆
Femsplaining is also usable. Women want equality.

The fact is Women want men to: Pay bills Hold doors Treat them nice Keep there mouth shut Never disagree Have less than them Give them more than they earn Never have a opinion Sit like they do Never speak up Never say anything that might offend them Be okay with being called scrote or other demeaning terms And most importantly never fact check them

I’ve heard this term used and it’s confusing. But I think if an explanation by a man to a woman was not requested, and/or includes a hint of condescension (real or perceived), and/or involves a topic on which the woman is an ‘expert’, it is mansplaining.
