This was my lived experience too. It worsened after I had baby #3, 9 yrs in. The quoting red pill gurus and casually using their names as if he was best friends with them, the statistics quoting and telling me to pick a number (threatening divorce). Get out of there as fast as you can!

Your actions def cornered her as a previous person mentioned; I’m glad to hear you’ve realized how much of a negative influence RP can be and actually harm a good relationship. That being said, don’t foist all of your motivation to act like that on RP and think it’s behind you now or you run the risk of this resurfacing.

If he adopted the Red Pill then he needs to show he has now rejected its misogynistic tenants. That he is hurting and is now thinking about his mortality is not proof of sincere change. He can be hurting and resent you for not taking him back. If he could find a replacement woman to leech off of emotionally, would he?

Read up on rebuttals to equip yourself for future convos.

RP teaches men unhealthy attachment styles, mostly avoidant type. It also teaches dark triad traits. To compare you to girls at work while playing hot and cold are tools of triangulation and reinforcement of a trauma bond. These are not news to narc victims; with lowered esteem and random intermittent reinforcement, the strongest conditioning method, people will work their hardest to qualify for the affection and/or affirmation they are seeking from the narc/RP guy. Not saying they are synonymou…

Rich Cooper got to my ex hubs too, among others, but he especially is a bitter old aloof guru that acts like he has it all figured out. Whatever faults your partner sees in you, it is not okay to not address them and emotionally abuse you and probably gaslight you instead. He wants to hear what’s easy for him, and it’s easy to blame you. Be mad, stay mad, and get back to yourself.

He’s a ‘Mr Sensitive’ from Lundy Bancroft’s book ‘Why Does He Do That?’ I divorced a lovely but insecure man who found TRP over 7 years ago. he doubles down every year and is quite entrenched.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
