LDRs are an easy fix for someone's validation, especially if they have low self esteem imo. It is more of a symptom of an deep rotted issue than an issue itself, if that makes sense

Tbh? Or ever. Always keep your guard up. A HVM could easily turn into a LVM down the line. You never know.

Queen, you are absolutely KILLING IT!! 😍💖 So glad to hear about your glow up, truly inspires us to look into ourselves and keep leveling up 👑 And you are right, our achievements are often shushed due to various reasons... it sounds like we are bragging, we are afraid to make others uncomfortable, sometimes we feel like we dont even deserve what we fought for. But all of that does not belong in this subreddit, here is a safe space for us to share our wins 👑 Thank you for sharing your story, queen…

Exactly! From a pragmatic point of view it is always better to pour said love and energy into yourself. You will always have you, that is guaranteed. Why focus on someone else when you're the main person in your life?

Amen. Better to have a harsh truth to deal with than a rose coloured lie that could sweep you off your feet anytime
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/08/20 03:18 PM

Because most people see the world through rose coloured glasses... it is a romantic way to see things that has been freely fed through generations, especially to women. But it does not resemble the truth of how relationships morph through time and how people really work.

Spot on. What you just explained puts people in the mindset of working for themselves and seeing others as a add-on. If someone doesnt add value to your life, guess what, you're not gonna stick around and go all pickmeisha for them to stay, since your whole life is pretty much plentiful already.

Words to live by. People change, goals change, perspectives change. Whoever you may see yourself spending your whole life with might do a complete 180º. You never know. Which is why YOU should be your main focus, not anybody else. At the end of the day, YOU are the only thing in your life that remains constant.

Ooooor having the ability to discuss things in a deep level but refraining from doing so, because in their minds connecting with you that way is not on their list.

"People who take lots of selfies score higher on it (narcissism)" Correlation does not imply causation. There might be a linking factor, BUT it is not necessarily an indicator. Careful with those farfetched conclusions

A man can still play video games and date, as long as it does not overshadow the relationship itself (seems obvious, right?). Personally I find it a waste of time, but to each their own. Now, using that (any hobby for that matter!) as an EXCUSE to ignore their partner, leaving them feeling like a burden... yeah, no.

Takes a HVM to recognize a HVW. And HVMs are rarer than an oasis in the desert, so I would rather be by myself than dealing with LVM
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 11:56 AM

You should read the handbook to level up your self-esteem. I hope I'm not coming too harshly, but saying selfies = narcissism is quite a stretch that usually comes from the mouth of someone who sees self-love as vanity... those are 2 different things
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 11:53 AM
15

Such critiques aren't self-respecting either. The premise was for you not to wait around for a man to invite you to go out and do whatever you want to do in the first place.

Certain things should not be made a subject for discussion. If you want to tell someone about your traumas, you're free to do so... but think about the possible consequences of doing so. Usually the weight overcomes the "freeing feeling" of being seen in that matter.

You met a LVM disguised as HVM - bad luck, mostly on his part because you're valuable (and you should know it!). Take it as a lesson and move on, focus on your goals and hold your head up high so your crown doesnt fall 👑💖

Firstly, focus on your grind, not her. She works there too but she wont be paying your bills. I know it is easier said than done, but keep your head where it is needed - not on her, but on yourself. Secondly, if anything she could feel just as insecure/scared as you do, but it doesnt matter in the end. I'd advise you to be professional, cordial, but not engage in any conversation beyond what is absolutely necessary professional wise.

You can neveeeeer TRULY change toxic people. Even if they change (and you lose yourself in the process) most of the time it's a show that will slowly wear off. Not worth it, block and delete, buh bye ✌

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/08/20 07:29 PM

It is definitely hard on an emotional level. "What if I can make things work?" "What if I am overreacting?" "What if he changes?" All of those doubts are rationalizations that will keep you tied up to a toxic person. It's good to be reminded that yes, it is hard and you will try to sabotage yourself along the way, but remember that you're breaking a cycle that IS MEANT TO BE BROKEN FOR YOUR OWN SANITY. Keep working on it, sister. You're doing a great job and we are all rooting for you ✌💖
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/08/20 12:13 PM

Because that toxic cycle is addictive. You're craving the highs and lows, not him specifically... going through the purge is hard but is still better than staying in that toxic relationship

"Love a girl who has confidence... as long as it doesnt overpower mine" Also applies to career. Men feel emasculated by successful, confident women.

Supporting you on your goals is a big one. Listening attentively, being present and pushing you to go after your ambitions.

Plus being assertive doesnt mean rude... You can impose your boundaries firmly and call someone on their bullshit and still be classy about it, if Mr Scrote can't take it then it's too bad ✌
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/08/20 05:32 PM

Your value is unquestionable, but it is not your job to make sure everybody sees that ✌ if they dont see it, leave, buh bye
