I'm soft as fuck and have picked up plenty of women. I talk about my anxiety and depression in my dating profile, and get matches every day. Gym trainers, massage therapists.

So my question is what are the women in charge of these environments doing to address these boys falling through the cracks? How does Richard Reeves giving his experience with boys education, answer the question, "what are the women in charge of our education environments doing to address boys falling though the cracks?".

Yeah I'm just providing a counter view. You said many women are turned off by the current direction of masculinity, and conservative view points coming from men. The term 'many' is pretty indescript, so I provided a counter stat, that 45% of white women voted for Trump. I never said you never said there are conservative men. I never said you never said there aren't collectivist men. It's cool that you can only provide defensive arguments. I am unfortunately going to have to report you for nitpic…

It's not in bad faith to call out glaring holes in your logic. If your logic only works in extremely specific applications, I'd argue this debate is more harmful to people's understanding of the world than beneficial.

45% of white women voted for Trump. There's no shortage of Conservative women. Also, 50% of relationships end in divorce. Alsooo, your conclusion is to blame Conservatives, but the inverse can be just as true aswell. The issue could be women being too liberal, too empathic, not dominate enough.

What percentage of males are school shooters? 0.01%? That's mostly likely mental illness, and is likely more connected to the lack of social resources made available for men, and boys. Now what gender holds majority control over education, and social work? Women are 75% of our education sector, our social work sector, and our psychology sector. So my question is what are the women in charge of these environments doing to address these boys falling through the cracks?

I use to have your perspective, but imo opinion friendzone is just about having no sexual chemistry. That's different then a woman keeping you on the edge.

The crazy thing is what you're describing really is how women act. Women are sexist as fuck, and don't see themselves as capable of sexually harassing or assaulting someone. I was with my ex at a Bush concert, and Gaven Rossdale was coming through the crowd, and after the show my ex excitedly told me she grabbed his ass. ... I sat there and argued with her about it for 5 minutes asking her how she would feel if I grabbed a female performer, and all she could say is "it's different". It's weird a…

And you can also just be clueless, arrogant, or dissociated. Once again I think stocism is confused with confidence in these situations.

You're missing the point. I went to my massage therapist and they were complaining about guys making moves on them. About how the last guy kept trying to touch her hand and had a boner. Next session she was asking me about my sexuality with a big smile on her face, asking me about my dating history. She told me I seem like a very sexual person. She asked me out for coffee twice. She then invited me over to her place to "help" with a project where she was constantly touching me. She went from com…

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Most women don't actually have the balls to give a straight forward no to a timid guy. It's fucking insane. Women honestly don't even know what they want. They string guys along because maaaybe... one day.. They'll feel differently and they don't want to burn that bridge, they don't want to deal with the fall out. So women play these stupid games where they string you back and forth until they get called out, and then they play the woe is me card. It's not m…

Man! I'm starting to question what confidence even means at this point. Because I'll be a ball of anxiety, but I'll also put out fires, skydive, and can run first into any situation. What you guys are discussing isn't confidence, it's stoicism, and charisma.

People treat me better when I'm a dick. When you're nice it sets a pretense that people tend to take advantage of. Having people dump on me while not giving a fuck about my life is extremely common. Friends, family, coworkers. Women will 100% sleep with you for just being nice, but this is the hilarious thing about talking about these subjects. Men don't just want sex. The thing is I don't want to spend my life being the 'good guy' while people walk over me. If I'm investing myself into you, if …

Just a heads up, my sister is this kind of person, but she's desperate to be in a relationship. She's just genuinely abusive. Feminists will try to frame this shit as "She's just fed up with me". Nah. She's just an abusive woman, it's not that complicated.

Funny, because you can go to pretty much any women's subreddit right now, and you'll find women talking about countless topics, and you'll see it doesn't matter what the topic is, at somepoint there's going to be people complaining about male promiscuity. You can't even read THIS subreddit without seeing it constantly being brought up as a reason for why men don't deserve respect. Also just a heads up, I didn't say anything about women valuing male virginity.

I've seen a girl openly cheat on her fiancé, and I seemed to be the only one that gave a fuck 😛 She basically just started disappearing, and tried to make him out to be an asshole when he was obviously confused not understanding what was going on. He wasn't violent, he wasn't abusive.

Women have always been there in history helping men enforce social norms. I can't remember where, but there's a place in the world today where obese women are prized, and mothers force feed their daughters, and hit their toes with a switch to get them to eat more.

I'm the type that's okay with things not working out, but other people are looking for something more committed. For a lot of people vows aren't just vows. The point is to have an actual partner in life. If things go bad if things stop working, it's suppose to be on the both of you to work to fix it. That's what marriage is. Marriage is binding your soul to another person.

If there's equal generalizations being made toward men, wouldn't it actually make perfect sense to make them towards women?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 02:35 PM
1

In that case your argument is using incels as a scarecrow. You're talking about men in general, but you're using incels as the meat of the argument, which doesn't actually address the more general discussion about men as a whole being critical of women. I do have retorts to your incel criticism, but realistically incels are maybe 5% of the male population, so it feels like a deflect to make the conversation about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 02:33 PM

See I don't think that actually falls in line with modern Sociological and psychological perspectives. We live in a patriarchal society that has distinct cultures for men and women, and generalizations have practical applications from that perspective, but regardless, because this is getting away from the point. You're applying a burden of accuracy to statements made by men about women, that don't actually fit in the standards of how people communicate. Like I can tell you for a fact that women …

/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 01:11 PM

That's not how language actually works. The point of generalizations is we aren't machines that can instantaneously perfectly communicate information to each other. Generalizations summarize information so we can communicate practically. Also because generalizations are constantly being made against men. So if we're arguing, and you're making generalizations, the easiest way for me to match you toe to toe is to make generalizations back.

I'm sorry, but maybe there's a better word than blame, but logically speaking. Attributing the preferences of the people who have them, to the people who have them is the correct response. If a woman isn't into a guy because he doesn't meet her preferences, that's a reality of the situation. It's not wrong to recognize the dynamic at play here. What's wrong is thinking another individual OWES you a relationship. It's not wrong to recognize someone's preferences, and that you don't meet them. It'…

Like 90% of Women's criticism towards their dates is due to some insecurity caused by a previous partner. I'd argue this extends to even just casual encounters. You can't do or say x,y,z because 'bad men' have been known to do or say x,y,z. The weaponizing of the term toxic masculinity is a trending example of this, which I think is a big reason male activism is trending, you literally can't just be a quiet dude these days without being called out.

I don't know if this is the exact way I'd put it, but it does key in on the sentiment. I once heard a girl getting really bubbly to a notable degree, and I turned to check her out, and the cashier she was talking to was boy band pretty. Like super lean, but cut features, wearing a leather jacket with white locks of long hair, and eye liner. Super pretty!! I want that. Because... Like... It's not actually about comparing myself to men. I just want what I give. I want a partner that is as into me …

Posts about men's issues frequently just get locked. The posts explode, hit 100 comments, get locked by automod, and then deleted. Liberal women like to thiiink they're supportive of men, but the truth is you frequently make it impossible for men actually talk about anything, because everything steps on your toes. Men can't actually talk about being so much as lonely without women shifting the conversation to "So you think women owe men a date?!". Fuck, I watched as the sub r/Nicegirls went from…

Food for thought. 75% of sociologists are women, and 85% of the America Sociology Association is women. Plus 80% of gender studies majors, and 75% of psychologists, and social workers. It's not hard to understand why the current perspective is so hostile towards men. My friend was being told by his sociology professor "The only way for men and women to have equality is for us to split into two societies for several generations". ...

I think of a lot of toxic masculinity concepts are gaslighting. Here's my new argument. Men are inherent in average stronger than women by 40%. That's biology. Men ARE stronger. The idea that men value strength because its anti feminine seems nonsensical to me. Strength has countless obvious benefits. You don't need to be anti-femininity to be Pro-strength. If anything, femininity adds to strength. Without femininity, there is no manliness by contrast. I argue it's actually femininity that's bor…

Okay! So I just developed a new opinion here. Previously I was under the impression that men don't talk about their problems and that's why they don't get recognition. That men don't talk about being abused, and that's why the numbers are so low. I now think that's a gaslight. The truth is men DO talk about their shit. Frequently. Their opinions just get disregarded. It's just a gaslight to redirect the focus from women's neglect, to men's flaws.

Complete bullshit. I've been sexually abused by multiple women. I'm a big 6foot 200+lb dude. If it's happening to me, and other guys I've talked to, it's happening to countless others. It's just not cared about.

Man I've been sexually assault. I've been raped. I've been hit. I've been stolen from. I've been emotionally abused, and psychologically manipulated, and fucked with. Men actually do understand what women go through, because men actually do go through it to. You just don't give a fuck about men's experiences. I can see why you'd think that. I could go deeper into explaining but basically I'm operating on the assumption of the 20/80 split where 20% of men are high value, and 80% are considered low value. So you have an average woman getting rejected by a high value 20% dude, and then blaming the other 80% of men for it.

This isn't true. There are countless men who will accept women for who they are. Like I've seen my tomboy ass 30s single mother friend with two kids lock down a well off, well rounded guy in a month. You're in a trauma state. What you're feeling is not normal. The truth is you don't actually know how to properly distinguish safe people from threats so you've become hypervigilant. It's emotional not rational. The truth is you never know what people are going to do. By your own words you specifically associate with people that know how to appeal to social norms. Sooo... People that wear masks.

Men are suppose to just... sacrifice themselves? For the supposed moral good while no one really gives a fuck about their experiences? And even if they fucking survive, they've now got a lifetime of trauma to deal with? And for what? To defend Ukrainian heri…

It's actually exhausting building bonds and relationships with people. If your a social butterfly, by all means, but even then, if you're constantly involving yourself with different men, you're going to end up rehashing a lot of the same conversations, the same dates. I went from a forever alone, to getting matches everyday, and women in my life regularly making passes at me. At first it was really exciting! 🙌 I was super invested! Sorry no. Go actually google the longterm health effects of any physical attractivity. Humans aren't built to last forever. Hardly. Feminists even have a fancy word for this trait, internalized misogyny. Women by nature of living in patriarchy fundementally don't have the same level of mental independence or individuality that men have. Women in our world are infantized.

Women have no idea what it actually takes to put on any amount of decent muscle. Genuinely a woman's idea of a 'dad bod' is body builder in their off season. Literally I am just on the higher end of what people would call a dad bod, and I deal with these issues. It was a study on Domestic abuse and homosexuality. I'm not at my pc at the moment but I'm pretty sure it had those words in the title if you look on google scholar. Regardless, you have have any other studies showing a different number for emotional abuse? Because as we've established, just looking at physical abuse isn't all of ipv.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 04:26 AM

IPV is just a newer term for domestic abuse/violence. Basically, it's meant to be more inclusive for partners that don't live together since "domestic" implies that. I do see some sources conflating domestic abuse, and domestic violence, the only problem is that only strengths my argument, because the prevalence of emotional abuse in lesbian relationships is 54% over the last 12 months, which is a valid form of IPV as we've now established, but your original argument is only taking into consider…

Here's the problem, sometimes people assume pressure is coming from an external source when in reality it's self imposed. Someone stating a preference for example might feel like pressure, you might feel a need to meet their expectations, and that might make you feel pressured, but to actually pressure someone, to actually commit the act of pressuring someone, requires deliberate desire to subvert their preferences.

This is a goal post shift or misunderstanding. 54% of lesbians have experienced domestic abuse in the last 12 months, not IPV. Specifically 54% of lesbians have experienced emotional domestic abuse in the last 12 months. Meanwhile the number for heterosexual couples experiencing emotional abuse over 5 years is 16.5%.

Something I want to add on, I don't know if I can articulate this properly, but women are codependent on others to build their self esteem. They don't have the compartmentalization to prevent other people's opinions from effecting them, they don't have a strong sense of self.

Women also judge the fuck out of other women if they presume they might be dressing sexy for men's attention. This goes to the extreme that women will ostracize, and passive aggressively attack other women with defining features (big boobs, ass, looks). So what you're saying goes deeper than just how women judge men sexualizing them, it mimics the social culture women have with each other. The definition of misogyny you're using is so watered down it's basically useless. You're talking about the misogyny from a social political standpoint. I agree with your perspective, what I'm saying can be simplified to why you're saying, but I would argue that the dynamic listed above is a large part of what drives the excitement, that it's the game driving a lot of these situations. I'm sure that's a thing, but what I'm thinking about specifically is that kindness isn't a one way dynamic. It's 2025. No one gives a fuck about studies. I'm actually fully willing to believe there's a massive correlation between feminism and motherhood. If you believe different, by all means you can present something that proves such, but I'm willing to acknowledge feminists spend a massive amount of time demeaning the contributions of mothers, and the value of motherhood, to the point that we have counter movements such as tradwives. Not only that, but women frequently complain about feminists demea…

The thing is because a lot of women or feminists have a cognitive dissonance issue. They are also more likely to think a man gay or odd for not sexualizing women. Yep! Toxic femininity. I wanted to add on another misandrist stereotype. My strategy lately is to give up on honest conversations. Step 1, if they bring up a stat, I retaliate with my own. Step 2, pretty much no matter what they say next, I'll just deconstruct it as much as possible, and push pro-male perspectives. If they want to talk about abusive men, I sit there talking about abused men, or men's sacrifices. If they argue about women's sacrifices, I acknowledge them, tell them it's not a comparison, and go back to talking about men's sacrifices.

One huge problem is there's actually very little dating advice out there addressing men's experiences. It's an information black hole. In progressive spaces men talking about their dating experiences with women is pretty taboo, so you end up having edgy people pickup the topic. Most women don't actually accept men for who they are, most men will actually accept a woman for who she is. That's the trope. Women that think they need to change themselves to be loved are projecting their attitudes towards men on themselves. Men that accept themselves unconditionally are projecting their attitudes towards women on themselves. As long as you aren't completely toxic, you can find a man that'll accept you for you, and even that's optional.

I completely agree with your perspective. Something I've personally been going through these last few years is confusing trauma dumping for emotional connection, and confusing emotional connections for deeper connections. Emotional intimacy can genuinely feel like a drug. That's something people don't talk about. Trauma dumping, and damseling yourself until you get affirmation, and taken care of is addicting as fuck. It's the McDonald's of emotional regulation.

What's interesting is this could spawn some cultural dimorphism between men, and women in STEM. If lack of social support means certain men are feeling discouraged from entering STEM then primarily the men you're going to get in STEM are those that don't value social support, you're creating an echo chamber which is contrasted by women in STEM who are given those supports. This is interesting.

I think it's referring to the statistical effect on men as a whole, not just the effect on passionate individuals. It's also seems to be talking about unconditional emotional support. So it's just talking about how men receive less social support for trying, and how that can be demotivating. So I disagree with your perspectives towards social activism, and think grassroots is pretty vital to confronting, and stigmatizing misandry aswell as raising awareness of men's issues aswell as providing public recognition and emotional supporters to men. That said I think this is a great idea.

Also I'm just going to toss this out there, social activism doesn't pay. It doesn't matter if you're fighting misogyny, or misandry. Social activism isn't going to make you popular, it isn't going to make people like you. Social activists are generally going against the grain. That's the point.

Nah, it's the creeps that need to overcompensate with this crap. Logically speaking, if someone isn't willing to confront stereotypes, they're not going to be out there confronting actual abusive people.
/r/EverydayMisandry25/03/25 06:38 AM

Yep... Patriarchal theory as a foundation for egalitarian social activism never logically made sense to me. If we live in a patriarchy. If that's the social hierarchy of our culture. Men are in control. If we create an environment where it's men vs women, men ultimately win.

Feminists revision of history is such bullshit. Have you heard about how programming use to be female dominated, but men 'stole' the industry when it started tech started to become viable? Not even true. If you go back, and look at rosters men have pretty much always dominated programming by 75%+

From a Marxist perspective, we basically just using feminism as a gateway drug to Marxism. Nancy Fraser admitting in his other book: Cannibal Capitalism that we can’t have gender equality under capitalism, because capitalism cannot function without exploiting people. ... Being uncomfortable is a part of life. I've seen women ostracize a dude because he seemed "too nice". That's it. Complexity increases exponentially with more variables is a big factor. Resources are limited, you have to decide where to invest energy, and capital, which means something at some point needs to give. The result is you end up with overly simplistic explanations for complex situations, i.e. everything is a result of patriarchy, toxic masculinity, and misogyny. Patriarchal theory IS feminism trying to be representative while also prioritizing it's own goals.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/02/25 03:59 AM

You're approaching this from a purely logical perspective, the problem being, people are irrational, and petty. The concept of patriarchy often becomes a bias where people infer problems are men's responsibility as "the patriarchy". And you might respond, that's not truly how patriarchal theory works, but my response is that's how human bias works. Sociology is 75% women. Gender studies is 88% women. The reason everything gets declared misogyny is because it's women doing the declaring.

Is saying "Those two statements together don't look great." a threat to you? I think the implication of your statement that I might be interpreted badly if I don't explain myself is a bit of a threat, yes. You still refuse to say why you're against AA. Are you that afraid to stand on your principle you refuse to state them out in the open? We honestly might be fucked. I think the Nazi's are the ones that made fascism, and bigotry unpalatable, which caused a revolution of humanitarianism, and egalitarianism, and right now we're slowly tredding back into the dark ages as people lose touch with those values. I remember about 10 years ago there was this massive crackdown on reddit on sexist attitudes directed at women, which has slowly created this uneven dynamic where misogyny was dealt with, but misandry was left to grow. People use to be able to joke, and have serious conversations about these issues, but now you're not allowed, it's taboo in progressive spaces to talk negatively about women, so literally the only places for men with issues to go is the right.

I grew up a social activist, was heavily informed on consent, and domestic abuse. It took me 6+ months to realize my ex did something non consensual to me, and then maybe another year before I really started to grasp I'd been raped, and then another few years to realize she'd been abusing me for most of our relationship. Realistically... what guy is going to want to do the mental work to realize, and accept, and deal with the fact that their partner is abusive? How are women going to accept it?

It's not about cedeing the term to people that misuse it, it's about recognizing that words have connotations, and can promote biases. Toxic masculinity is just a modern version of female hysteria. I was LITERALLY just thinking about this 30 seconds ago. Growing up my mother would chastize me for sulking. When I got raped, and told my grandmother I was scared of my abuser, I got the response "But you're so much bigger than she is". I literally had to hang up on my mother, because she wouldn't stop arguing with me to go back to get my stuff. My sister knows I've been physically abused, she's never like... asked me about it though. I'm straight up friends with a psychologist, and the most I'…

Great post! I haven't conceptualized this phenomenon in the same way, but it's something I think about. Recently I've been thinking about how it's considered wrong to shame women into physical intimacy, but it's acceptable to shame men into emotional intimacy, and what the implications are if you look at physical, and emotional intimacy from opposite perspectives. Men are often criticized for their shallowness in relation to sex, that men will sleep with anything. But inverse can be said to be t…

I was joking around about suicide the other week, and my psychologist friend told me she has a duty to disclose, and just thinking about it for a few days I don't see how this wouldn't be a massive deterrent to men since men are more often the primary breadwinners, and involuntary commitment could destroy someone's financial stability. Another issue I have is psychology, sociology, and social work are all 75%+ dominated by women, and now apparently it just so happens that all of society's woes a…

It's really interesting logic. And if you brought up how male gang members are also forced into those situations, it'd be argued that it's because of patriarchy, and therefore men's fault. The second you call this out as sexist though, suddenly it's all "Men AND women make up the patriarchy. No one is just blaming men". Yeah... Yeah you actually are blaming men.

Research indicates that people tend to experience sexual attraction in more polarized terms This seems consistent with being socialized in a hetreo normative/ gender dimorphic culture, as opposed to the definitive way humans process sexuality. Aside from that though, in one sentence you're saying people 'tend to' experience sexual attraction in polarized terms. The key word there is 'tend to', which to me implies that this fact you're expouting is actually just a generalization.

Its the effort to lower men's confidence and self-esteem by making us aware of assumed social power dynamics and applying them to ourselves. Fuuuuuck, I appreciate this articulation man. Men's issues aren't studied to the same level women's are. That in an of itself is a real harm. You've heard of the gender disparity in STEM right? Have you heard of HEAL yet? My sister once complained because she was living at home, and a tinder date asked her what her career plan was. Like... That's a completely reasonable question.. The only reason I see to be upset by that question is because it implies he expects her to work.

To bring it back to what Dr. K said about men failing, because men aren't adapting to the modern world when it comes to female gender roles. And here I thought finding a partner was about personal compatibility! 🙌 Silly me. Sociological dating perspectives are seriously the most regressive shit. I fucking hate this shit. Yes trends are interesting, and hold useful information, but god damn people don't know how to talk about dating in an intelligent way that doesn't project a bunch of bullshit. …

I had keys bunched between my fingers just last night. Anyways though! All these comments from women about how men need to emotionally support each other has me thinking, women could start forming community watches. It's possible it's a subject they've never thought about, and see it as just normal, so seeing people speak out against it seems extreme. That said I'm seeing a ton of comments lately taking anti-lwma stances, so it's possible we're getting brigaded.

I bring this shit up around feminists for two reasons, 1 feminists spread a shit ton of misandry, so yeah, it's a good spot to spread awareness. 2, if we're talking about rape, domestic violence, or other humanitarian issues, men deserve to be apart of the conversation. If feminists weren't making space for hate, and weren't excluding men from social support, this wouldn't be an issue. And I'm going to say that in the past 5 years I've been going at this, I've seen more, and more people standing…

I've definitely noticed feminists projecting in discussions, and think it's actually a foundational pillar of modern feminists arguments. i.e. Men have created structural systems that disadvantage women, so feminism creates structural systems that advantage women. Men are sexist, so that justifies sexist perspectives of men. Men have created toxic gender roles, so feminism creates new concepts of what a "good" man is.

I think I read recently that in the UK the amount of reported female on male pedophilia has tripled in the last 10 years. I recall another report talking about how if you're doing a survey of domestic violence for victimized men the terminology used to describe the act has a huge impact. If you ask a man if he's been hit by a partner you'll get much lower results than if you ask if he's ever been smacked, slapped, scratched by a partner. I wonder how this applies to sexual assault aswell.

I've been mulling a concept I call Boardgame Patriarchy. Basically the idea is that potentially a lot of feminists see society like a boardgame. There's players, there's rules, you can win, and lose. If the game isn't fair, and some people keep losing, well that's because the game has unfair rules. And who makes the rules? Men! So if women get raped it because men have created a system that results in women getting raped. Society in reality though is a chaotic mess, and no one is in charge. (I h…

I think when someone asks "Where can I meet women" what they're asking is "Where is it socially appropriate for me to approach women.", and I don't feel your question really answers that, because at some point... you have to make a move, you have to flirt, you have to escalate things... Thought that was just because that’s how the movement started and it went from there. I disagree with "that's how the movement started", feminists just take credit for egalitarian, and humanist progress. I have to ask... Didn't you already realize they were ethically bankrupt since they're using a gendered label to identify themselves while claiming to be egalitarian?

Damn, that's controlling as fuck. "Either you accept what I say unconditionally, or you're a troll". Ummm... How about no? How about I form my opinions based on my values, principles, and ethical perspectives rather than submitting to dogma?

Smits thinks the fellowships brought about cultural change at the university, with decision-makers forced to look farther afield to find and recruit talented women. Many women were surprised to be headhunted, suggesting they would not have considered themselves qualified and would not have applied on their own, he says. In his experience, women are less likely than men to apply if they meet all but one of a list of job criteria. Because that eliminates many top applicants, he says, actively recr…

I'm not going to debate with you about American stats. If you'd like, the link above from the Canadian government, and you'll see men, and women are abused are fairly close. About one third (36%) or 4.9 million men reported experiencing IPV in their lifetime (compared to 44% or 6.2 million women) (Cotter 2021). When asked about the previous 12 months, 12% of women and 11% of men indicated experiencing some form of IPV (Cotter 2021). The most common type of IPV reported by men was psychological (…

My assumption is just that it's about values. If this place was a general male advocacy group I feel the posts, and comments would be a lot different.

Same with bropill. After I got raped, that's the community I got directed to, but it was just a bunch of content about becoming better men from a Feminist perspective.

I've been hit, I've been stolen from, I've been stood up on Christmas, I've had people force their kids on me, I've seen abusive parents, one mom fucking sprayed her kid down with Febreeze instead of giving him a bath. I've been told "you're like the one good guy" just to get used, and fucked with. I've had to deal with suicide threats. I've been love bombed to hell being told "we feel like soul mates" just to be discarded. Dating culture is such a turn off at this point. I have female friends, …

Here's the thing... On average men are always going to have a physical advantage, so threats against men are never going to hold the same weight in the eyes of a femcel.

That's fucked! I'm nonbinary, and yeah... There's a ton of sexism, and bigotry in the lgbtq community. I blame Marxism 😂 What they were doing was just abusive. I'm sorry dude.

Does that bother you? What's the significance of getting called a conservative? Arguing against sexism does not in anyway make you a conservative. If you're just not in a position where you feel you can stand up against this stuff, I've been there, I can understand that, but if youre just worried about being unpopular.. I don't know man. I've always lived by the quote "For tyranny to prevail all it takes is for good people to do nothing".

"rightly so" is a quote from the source. In research, policy and service delivery, more emphasis tends to be placed on violence against women (VAW) — and rightly so."

There's a TON of sociology work that's been done positioning men as the dominant class of society. Once you have that basis you can justify a lot of sexism. I feel like the general public isn't super aware of this stuff though so I'm curious what'll happen as people see it.

One thing that really frustrates me about it is it's a self reinforcing loop. If you spend a disproportionate time towards researching, and discussing violence against women it's going to lead to more social awareness, which is going to lead to more reports, which is going to increase to perceived disparities between men and women, which reinforces the loop. It took me 6 months to even like... conceptualize I had been raped, and I'm an informed social active person. I'm the type of person that l…

I've definitely noticed that as the culture on reddit has polarized from it's more Liberal/Libertarian roots to left and right perspectives the concept of seeing, and treating men/women as equals has evaporated. Specifically I remember going to r/bropill after I got raped. I was told it was a progressive community, but a ton of the content was just about how men need to protect women, how men need to confront their friends. And then you start adding on patriarchy discussions... All the gaslighti…

Do you think we should put people in jail on just suspicion? A gut feeling? Like.... What realistic solution do you have that doesn't involve just shrugging your shoulders and saying "They need to figure it out". Rape is hard to prove. Like I've been raped, and the only evidence I have is my word.

I've been raped, sexually assaulted, and physically abused by women. I'd never report it, because the chance of things getting flipped on me is a huge fear. When I told my family I was scared of my ex the response I got was "but you're so much bigger than she is!". (Oh! Random tangent! I think you brought up testosterone as a biological factor, but testosterone aside, men are on average just bigger, and stronger which is highly beneficial in a criminal industry where you might have to defend you…

This is only loosely related. I was arguing with a misandrist about feminism, Spain's sexist rape laws (they only protect women), and feminists protesting against the creation of a battered men's group. The person started deflecting to an argument about patriarchy. "Who made the laws! It's not feminisms fault! Men made the laws!" Okay... But it's feminists currently standing in the way of abused men from organizing, and actually changing these laws. Also... Yes men originally created the law. Me…

I see it's being directed at women, but I don't see anything saying only women can report. My concern though is that we don't talk about the experiences of victimized men, which means people are less likely to recognize it, which means people are less likely to report it, which means it's not going to be shown in the data. Like I randomly get touched a lot, and I fucking hate it. Like I had a waitress just randomly draw her hand across my shoulders. Like wtf?! Shouldn't she know that's a violati…

There's so many potential reasons, but the main one that pops to the top of my head is it's easier for women to find partners. You can be a 40 year old cashier as a woman, and there are plenty of guys that will want to be with you. It's not the same for men. So if a woman is single, it's more likely to be a choice. If a man is single, it's more likely to be a lack of opportunity.

I think it's a false dichotomy. "It isn't misandry, misandry isn't real in the capacity that misogyny is" Yeah! Misandry, and Misogyny are different, and can come from different places. That doesn't mean misandry isn't real. That doesn't mean judging men for being men, and hating them for being men isn't misandry. The author knows they're misandrist, they're just trying to justify it.

Addendum: I also don't like the totalitarianism of Marxism. I also think Marxism presents simple solutions to complex problems when the real world doesn't work that way. The idea that if we just eliminate capitalism humans will stop being petty doesn't make a ton of sense to me, I understand the argument, that there won't be a need to be petty without wealth inequality, but like... I think pettiness extends beyond materialism. I have soooo many issues with Marxism.

You can apply anything to anything so I can't really reply to your poll. We could sit here and talk about rock music from the perspective of a moth. I'm pro social work, I'm pro social programs, I'm anti-classism. I think classism erodes individuality, and promotes bias, and bigotry. I also think a lot of the Feminist bigotry towards men comes from Marxist perspectives on feminism. If this place goes Marxist, I'm out.

Genders are classes. People applied Marxism to Feminism, and that seems to be how we've ended up in regards to the modern culture surround human rights, and progressivism Intersectionality being the long way around of getting back to individuality. The absurdity of people pushing classism to me is historically classism is a tool of oppression. Aristocracy is classism. Caste systems are classism. Sexism is classism. Slavery was classism. Holy fuck!! The Hilary Clinton article in there?! I will institute gender-responsive policies in the federal prison system and encourage states to do the same—because women follow different paths to crime than men, and face different risks and challenges both inside and outside the prison walls, and every part of the justice system, from sentencing to the conditions of confinement to re-entry services, should reflect women’s unique needs.

found that when exams are marked independently and anonymously boys do better in maths than girls. However, when teachers are marking their own class, this switches, with girls coming out on top. In tests graded from one to 10, the average grade for GCSE-aged girls was 6.3, while the boys averaged 5.9. Wealth has SUCH an impact on our culture, but I'm going to disagree with you that it's the underpinning factor. I think competitiveness is ingrained into humanity. Maybe not every human, certainly we have people that do more for others than they do for themselves, but just as a matter of how our brains form, and develop as we become people, competitiveness can be ingrained into a person's psychy. I think focusing on societal wealth is putting the cart before the horse. Before people have any con…

I was standing in the supermarket next to the bananas with my son George who's a little bit older than this now but it was about 10 at the time and he looked up at me and he said mom why are you obsessed with women's rights what about me and it started me thinking about men's role in feminism and gender equality. https://youtu.be/3Xu2JE2LoEY

She'd sit there and just stare at me. She was saying all these obsessive things to my friends and coworkers, she knitted me fucking gloves. Ugh! And if you confront that it's followed by the double down of (victim) blaming everything on toxic masculinity, and patriarchy, which frustrates the fuck out of me because you'll have femandrists in one instance saying "women contribute to patriarchy, and toxic masculinity too", and then in another it's just "Men are responsible for their own problems". The otherday in a discussion on Man vs Bear someone was criticizing about how "men are allowed to express their emotions, they just choose n…
