LVM Shenanigans🚨🚨🚨 If we translate that from LVM to normal human being, it means “I haven’t even met you yet but I already feel entitled enough to disrespect you and waste your time.” You intuition was spot on! | /r/askFDS | 05/12/20 06:33 PM
Opinions needed! New here :)Sounds like he has commitment issues. You should disregard his excuses using his son because that’s irrelevant. If a man has problems committing this early on, there is a good chance that he’ll drag his feet going forward for everything from getting engaged to setting the wedding date to having kids (should you want that). You really need to ask yourself if this is something you want to put up with. I would personally consider other options. | /r/askFDS | 05/12/20 03:35 PM
Should I just "pick him" and be over with it?I'm not sure what advice to give you, to be honest. Logically speaking, a HVW who makes some effort to put herself out there should meet HVM regardless of her age or location. If you're in an environment where you cannot meet those guys, perhaps relocation is an option to consider. If that's not an option and your ex is the best you can find, depending on how important it is for you to "pick someone," (though my understanding is FDS generally discourages people from picking anyone unless it's an… | /r/askFDS | 25/11/20 05:20 AM
Should I just "pick him" and be over with it?I never said HVM wouldn’t want you but I do find it concerning that you’re thinking about settling for a man you clearly have apprehensions about because of what seems to be a lack of other viable options at the moment. If you’re a HVW who wants a HVM, then there is no reason for you to settle - you should go out there and meet those men! | /r/askFDS | 25/11/20 03:26 AM
Should I just "pick him" and be over with it?How big are the mental health issues and how do they impact your life together? Could either of you relapse, and are you ok being “in charge” between the two of you? And be honest here (this isn’t meant to scare you off, but it does factor in): how much do you have to offer? Will actual HVM want you and if they don’t at this moment, do you think you are able and willing to work on yourself to get there? I have to say the fact that you think you’re settling now doesn’t bode well. It makes it very… | /r/askFDS | 25/11/20 02:38 AM
Is this a red flag, or am I being unreasonable? If you’re cooking for him, doing the bulk of the cleaning, organizing, and other house related chores and planning things around his schedule, he’s taking advantage of you. | /r/askFDS | 01/11/20 05:58 PM
How do you ladies navigate living in a world that glorifies pickme behavior?Do you share your success with your social circle or are you more selective about it? I ask this because I have dealt with what you're talking and it's quite sad. Apparently when my life is going through a rough patch, the men and women around me are happy to lend a shoulder and listen (which isn't a bad thing in itself), but some of those same people will be quite upset if I'm doing quite well (I don't blame them, because I can tell that they can't help it). As you said, misery loves company. M… | /r/askFDS | 28/10/20 01:52 PM
Are men only as faithful as their options? How can we as FDS women avoid this?I totally get what you mean and don’t disagree, but in this case, I do think he would go after me if I gave him a chance but not for the right reasons. My understanding is that her family situation isn’t very good while I grew up quite comfortably and continue to live as such, and he’s expressed a lot of interest in my family background, how much I make, and other things tied to money. His girlfriend is also quite stingy while I am not, and I 100% believe he’s a user who would jump at the chance… | /r/askFDS | 27/10/20 06:15 PM
Are men only as faithful as their options? How can we as FDS women avoid this?Don't worry, ladies - I realized he was putting the moves on me (he asked me to facetime and have wine together in a socially distanced hang out recently) and I am 100% cutting him off. I'm just shocked that some who looked as harmless and seemed as nice as him is so scummy. Really makes me lose faith in men! | /r/askFDS | 27/10/20 04:23 PM
