NO KIDS = FREE CHOICE But just remember this. you married her knowing she was that kind of person. If you built resentment because you're fully taking care of things financially its time to go. You dont love her

If you do not have any kids with her. Divorce her ASAP.

My ex said the same thing. As soon as I heard get another job I realized she doesn’t care if I struggle in life. I took her back to the court and got what I need

RED FLAG. I dealt with this and it was a trainwreck. RUN bro.. find someone who will not be jealous but supportive of your time with your kids

Separated 5 months and she's been out of the house for a month and right away looking for someone to feel the void. Take your time

You fucked around and found out hard. 20 yrs gap and on top of that you knew she was struggling financially.. what did your parents say about this?

i feel exactly the same. Which I figure I'm not ready to date anytime soon. Get back on your feet. no need to isolate yourself but keep boundaries. Focus on self improvements

So what did you do that “supposed to help” and how long did you stick with it? Let’s be real you haven’t given your all or even 80% of it.

I know it hurts and its dark. I struggled for 1 year alone in my small apt moving out of my together bought mortgage home. I was gaining weight, drinking, isolating myself. I think biggest part was I still love her. However, I realized that nothing is going to change, matter in fact if I kept being a loser there would be no hope. I got back up on my feet. start hitting the gym, went to church and now I'm free of my anxiety and hope is there.

I had a bitch like her. At first she thought it will be alright but immature in her brought in jealousy. Jealousy against my own blooded son who was only 2 at the time. I said we are package and she said I’m out

Don't just "let it go". Use it as your motivation or challenge. Get in shape, set a career goal, etc then you will have her begging to come back

So my question to you is what is your priority? Job that keeps you 6am-5pm? Or your girls? If I were you I rather find another job that can do 6am-2pm and go see your daughters.

34 here with 3 yr son. Honestly, I enjoy my own time doing things I like as single. Of course I feel lonely and horny but that goes out the window so fast if you have a routine. GET ON ROUTINE get busy

What the fuck
/r/Divorce_Men20/03/25 05:25 PM

dude... is it because she has 100% custody? if so , modify that ASAP... you need to live to provide for your child
/r/Divorce_Men19/03/25 12:19 AM

damn.... this is probably like worst case i've heard in awhile. I don't know how I would get back up on my feet at that point tbh...

same boat as you with 1 child together. At first I wanted to reconcile because of my son but now it's just if it happens it happens type of deal. This gets me going and not be so anxious about the relationship

Thank you for putting everything straight up. I am aware of that. I might not even win the case so right now. I am trying to negotiate with my ex. Wish me luck.

/r/Divorce_Men21/02/25 09:08 AM

total spent 14k havent even gone through Discovery. I dropped the lawyer and using paralegal to respond to RFO'S
/r/Divorce_Men26/11/24 10:39 PM

I’m using paralegal to respond. Because it’s not a complicated declaration I don’t think it’s necessary for me to spend $6000 for retainer
/r/Divorce_Men22/11/24 06:30 PM
1

I actually dropped my attorney after a few hearings because it was going the direction that I wanted to, which is 50-50 custody I’m representing myself hopefully with all the evidence and proof the judge will see this accusation as false
/r/Divorce_Men22/11/24 04:42 PM
2

I agree with this.. yeah it sucks, you’re the victim here but non of that matters to 5 yr old. He needs both side confirming that it was mutual. He won’t like it and will ask why. You will need to just be clear that regardless of the separation you still love him

HUGE CONTGRATS! You deserve all the time in the world with your kids. Shame on your ex for alienating you from your kids... that's considered child abuse.

Baby mama doesn’t want to get involved with court. 🤷🏻‍♂️
/r/Divorce_Men09/08/24 05:35 PM
1

Well it doesn't make sense to coparent at this very moment. Its a new born baby so baby needs mom anyways. I might reconsider 6month - 1 year from now on but I'm on a journey to getting back with my exw.
/r/Divorce_Men09/08/24 05:23 PM

Not just in laws but some mutual friends too. I know who will be there for me at the end of the day now. It hurts but better to pull it out before it gets deeper.
/r/Divorce_Men08/08/24 11:10 PM
1

I agree 100%. but sometimes circumstances in life are a real thing
/r/Divorce_Men08/08/24 10:17 PM
4

I get it brother. It really sucks.. I have more context that I do not want to share but that plays a big factor of reason why I would not want to co-parent with her. If one day the second son decides to find me I will gladly talk and unite with him. I'm also saving financially for this kid as well for future needs. I'm not by any means a douchebag. but this woman is narcissist and has said a lot of hurtful things that cannot be put back together.
/r/Divorce_Men08/08/24 09:35 PM
4

Trust me.. I offered to be part of the child's life at first and she turned it down multiple times. I've moved on... I truly think that child is better off without me being in the picture. She literally said she will find a new father for him. Last name is important it's what makes you connect with this child internally as a father. At least for me this matters if I'm going to be his dad.
/r/Divorce_Men08/08/24 09:27 PM
5

You right. I didnt know how
/r/Divorce_Men01/08/24 11:26 PM

Yes because she was the love of my life.
/r/Divorce_Men01/08/24 05:08 PM
3

It’s cause you married a looser girl. I woulda saved lot more
/r/Divorce_Men28/07/24 09:53 PM
1

But let me ask you this, How would you feel if she comes back? Will you ever trust her? do you think things will be back to "normal"? I think answers are No for my side and that's the reason why I'm not really going back to her
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 08:55 PM
1

Here is my honest answer: yes because I realized that things that bothered me were such a small reasons to cheat/divorce her. and also we have 2 years old that I love dearly together.
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 08:47 PM
2

Yeah im in therapy right now. Thank you for the recommendation. I def will stay single for awhile.

I considered but I rather use condom
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 08:35 PM
2

maybe no one cares because they just wanted to "date" not have serious relationship? From what I've been seeing they care a lot if they want to settle down with you. Even if its just 1 baby mama yeah i agree man.. I'm going through therapy because of my slight depression and life. But I'm holding onto hope and trying to be the best father I can be.
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 06:48 PM
2

you know.. I thought it wouldn't be so bad but turns out it is bad. Age does play a big role
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 06:27 PM
2

hahaha dude it really sucks tho... yes I blame myself too but she really home wrecked my marriage. How is dating after having 2 baby mamas? I mean I will probably keep the 2nd one hidden since she doesn't want me in her life and the child, no reason for me to bluntly tell everyone I have a child somewhere.
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 06:26 PM
1

Thanks man… I’m super positive it’s mine and happy to see him come out to the world but unfortunate that baby mama and I didn’t work out
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 02:09 AM
1

Thanks for sincere comment bro. I asked her if I can be part of the child’s life but she just wants me out of her life completely including the child. Honestly she’s petty asss hell.. as I’m moving out she threw away my son’s toys. Idk devil deceived me and my flesh took it
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 02:08 AM

Yes currently doing that therapy and friends are helping
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 01:11 AM

Yes and no. She wanted a child since her age is not young. I was hesitant but thing were good so I gave

She was AP which I regret deeply. Yeah I’m going through therapy currently.. yeah I’m staying away from woman
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 12:44 AM

I lived there for free but I didn't have the means to pay her rent. I was going through divorce and she knew my situation before getting with me. Actually was a stay home dad when she met me

/r/Divorce_Men24/07/24 11:52 PM

I fked up real bad as well.. It's been a year since. The emotional feeling comes in an out especially during night time. I accepted the fact that my exw doesn't want to get back together but that is not the end of the world. I'm on therapy , doing exercise , reading books, financial goals, travel. Doing all these makes me feel more alive at times. One of my friend gave me a good analogy: " Your heart is like a box, right now its full of stress, guilt, ashamed, etc and its going to press that but…
/r/Divorce_Men24/07/24 04:05 PM

Yeah 100% she blames me saying that if you love me more blah blah blah I can be this and that. It’s crazy…

Thank you brother. I just opened up a savings for my first and the unborn child for their future usage. Made me feel a bit better and want to be the best version of myself. I'm def prioritizing my mental and physical as well as finance.

/r/Divorce_Men19/07/24 11:51 PM

hey man... that was 1 big mistake I made. I made no other bad choice in life
/r/Divorce_Men19/07/24 11:51 PM

I dont think she used me per say but def things have gotten bad. Yup moving out
/r/Divorce_Men19/07/24 11:50 PM

Basically, she values her ability to kick you out more than your comfort. This is like the golden reason. wow you said it perfectly. Yeah I rather not be with someone who doesn't value me
/r/Divorce_Men19/07/24 11:49 PM

Hope not but if anything atleast I’ll see my child
/r/Divorce_Men19/07/24 01:16 PM

/r/Divorce_Men19/07/24 04:50 AM

She says she will not contact or ask for anything legally. (She makes 200k) I think this is the right direction not just for myself but my first child as well.
/r/Divorce_Men19/07/24 04:43 AM

I agree. I’m will still do my best to save up just for him and write my letters

Yeah I’m moving out end of this week
/r/Divorce_Men19/07/24 03:34 AM

I'm pretty 100% sure its mine and also she wants me out of her life completely including the child. I'm ok with this option tbh..

I'm naturally an extrovert but only kept few close friends about 3 in total. Obviously we all have life to take care so rarely see each other. I realized best way to stay out of depression is to take a nice walk during night time, focus on myself with projects. Stay out of drinking because it drives you emotional

Hey brother, I’m Korean American as well. I lived in Korea up until 4th grade. Although my parents stayed married it was toxic as it gets. Physical fights, verbal abuse, I was also abandoned at age 6 by both parents but eventually they took me back in. I would get beat up, called me stupid, blaming me for their lack of education. It’s funny because as a kid you start to put all that bad out the way and try to see only the good side of them. I did that.. I always thought “well atleast they provid…

/r/Divorce_Men06/07/24 12:26 AM

Why did you have another child? And she can’t legally alienate you from the child
/r/Divorce_Men05/07/24 06:31 AM

I dont know about that... I feel like its hard to find someone that will treat someone else's child like its her own. TBH my mistake was to go to park that day.. I should have just took him back to my place.

damn... that is shitty
/r/Divorce_Men18/06/24 05:44 PM

Ouch… only thing that made my day was my 2yrs son saying happy Father’s Day. Apparently my ex told him to say so which I really appreciated
/r/Divorce_Men18/06/24 06:09 AM

how can your ex wife alienate your adult kids? they can make their own choices
/r/Divorce_Men17/06/24 11:21 PM

Damn i feel you man.. i decided to sleep around 9pm with headache. Never been happy to see monday
/r/Divorce_Men17/06/24 09:55 PM

theres really nothing to miss but rather want.. my parents never really showed me what love is in the family. I guess the only thing that they ritually celebrated was birthdays. I cut ties with them because they were being toxic in my life and with tramas I had as a child. I do hope that one day everything can be forgiven but at the moment I don't feel like its time
/r/Divorce_Men17/06/24 09:27 PM

made me tear up. thank you for your words

I agree on building new relationships or at least restore them
/r/Divorce_Men17/06/24 08:14 PM

agree to disagree. People make mistakes whether intentional or not. Doesn't mean that they will continue doing it again. If someone got raped and not a virgin anymore doesn't mean they can't say i'm still a virgin.
/r/Divorce_Men06/06/24 06:22 PM
1

I understand... it sucks to see someone who you once loved become something else. especially as mother of your child. I hope for the best man
/r/Divorce_Men05/06/24 11:35 PM
2

you need to get your son out of that house ASAP. contact lawyer now man.
/r/Divorce_Men05/06/24 11:22 PM
5

is your son ok at that house? It looks like he needs to stay with you man. Sounds like she's having mental issues
/r/Divorce_Men05/06/24 11:20 PM
1

Not all cases. But if it makes you feel better you can think that way, there’s no harm in
/r/Divorce_Men05/06/24 10:57 PM
3

That sucks but you know what some people try to learn from their mistakes. She may or may not cheat on the AP but that is no longer your concern. Hope you got everything your way during legal process.
/r/Divorce_Men05/06/24 10:35 PM

any update on this? currently going through the same situation here. STBXW made allegation against me to her lawyer saying that I'm incapable of taking care of my son / doesn't care. Like wtf? My lawyer told me that it was a good thing I used to be stay home dad and I requested to see my son as much as she is willing to. My court showing is on July 3rd and I'm looking for 50/50 custody.

Most of them gave me free consultation but 1 had me locked in. 6k retainer
/r/Divorce_Men23/05/24 07:56 PM

If you dont have any children, its much easier to just move on. You also have the right to do so since it was her that cheated.
/r/Divorce_Men23/05/24 05:06 PM
1

You are right. I have been introducing him that this is dad’s house. I will make sure to tell him this is he’s house from now on.
/r/Divorce_Men18/05/24 09:04 PM
2

Its unfortunate.. I just wanted her to be fair. I occasionally invite her to our hangouts so that my son have memories of having fun with both mom and dad. But I guess she just needs time
/r/Divorce_Men17/05/24 04:51 PM
1

Oh gawd she does not.. She opted out of using SMS, calls. She strictly wants to just "Email" which I find it stupid. She usually takes 2 days to respond back and that response doesn't include answers for my questions. Its all about what she wants from me.
/r/Divorce_Men17/05/24 04:30 PM
2

This is very helpful. Thankfully I did document everything. I definitely understand her point of view but she's just going with her emotion of fear, pain, and worry. I'm actually getting lawyer to get temp custody because she's now withholding my son from sleeping over.
/r/Divorce_Men17/05/24 04:28 PM
1

Yeah this was the first time sleeping with me and away from his mom. She does co-sleeps with him due to moving in with her parents. Damn I feel your pain. My son doesn’t cry during exchanges or during times with me. But like you said he starts to look for her during bed times. At least he doesn’t cry or refuses to sleep but still looks for her.
/r/Divorce_Men17/05/24 06:12 AM
1

I def. understand what you are saying. I do believe that if child is old enough to make decision whether they want to stay at moms or dads they can choose to do so. Obviously as a parent you want your kid to stay with you full time but ultimate choice will be the they themselves.
/r/Divorce_Men16/05/24 09:28 PM
2

Fortunately I live in california and we both decided to take it to mediator instead of court. So no this would not affect custody time. Only reason why she emails is because she doesn't want to talk to me through SMS. (no idea why it changed all of sudden). Yeah, hopefully he can adjust to changes as smooth as possible.
/r/Divorce_Men16/05/24 09:18 PM
2

damn this made me tear up a bit. 💪🏼
/r/Divorce_Men16/05/24 09:15 PM

Thank you for the response. It really does gives me a encouragement. As for my relationship with ex, we're just ok. I try my best to stay as civil & friendly as possible. I definitely responded this way because I wanted her to be assured that he was doing fine.
