Baby Mama gave birth to my son yesterday Tuesday.

She never wanted to see me again or let alone be part of this child's life. Decided to text me to come to hospital hour before birth. I gladly went and had a privilege to cut the umbilical cord.

After everything was settled down we had small talk and she said she wants to co-parent with me. HERE is the thing... if she wants me to be part of his life as a father, at least show me some respect by giving him my last name. That is like the very first connection you can have as a father with the baby.

I know for a fact if I decided to co-parent with her its just going to be toxic and stressful for both of us. So I told her that I would like to stay firm on our decision about her not wanting me in their lives. She agreed and understood. Today will be my last day ever seeing her and the child and honestly.. I'm not heartbroken at all. She's well off without me and will do well without me. Like you guys said, I will focus on my first child and myself at this moment.
