You'd make a great femdom

The definition of jargon is "special words or expressions that are used by a particular profession or group and are difficult for others to understand." Which of my words or expressions are jargon?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 05:19 PM

You either know terrible women, young women or you just don't know those women very well. Hopefully one day you'll understand women better

It was just a joke man. Learning how to take one could also be helpful to your dating life

Have you been on a lot of dates?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 06:10 PM

Yes they do, ever heard the phrase "household name"? No wonder you don't have anything to talk about on dates
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 09:50 AM

Yes, exactly like Jerry Seinfeld, did you read my post
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:31 AM

But it's kind of unfair to them - you're saying they shouldn't complain until they get laid - but their whole problem is that they can't get laid. It's not much of an answer at least from their perspective lol

And what if they're not virgins, like myself?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 12:44 AM

Why?

Wild, I totally disagree but if you have any good evidence I'd be interested to see it. In my experience (and I think biology backs this up), women between 27-35 are by far the most likely to overlook men's faults as long as they have their life together enough to support 50% of a family. They are literally running out of time to make a choice so almost definition they are less picky and more desperate. I'm assuming you're not expecting women in that age group to go for guys that can't even supp…

What are you basing that on? What age range of people?

Cool, my bad

Men are just as likely to leave the relationship or cheat when they don't feel the "spark" - it's just that they do it later in the relationship because that's when they've already had sex and feel they have more power over the relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 05:17 PM
34

Disagree: you're just describing early dating realities when one or both of the daters is only partially invested in the relationship. In that situation, a small issue can be easily be the "straw that broke the camels back", since the other person wasn't that into you anyways. Think of Jerry Seinfeld - he's always got one foot out of his relationships, so he feels like he can break it off because of her man hands or whatever. Whereas in other cases where Jerry is smitten, he quickly starts overl…

Ok, so: is it your position that it's a great injustice in the world that insecure girls with daddy issues are easy lays for confident men with sexist attitudes? If so, do you think something in particular should be done about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 05:10 PM
2

In my experience, there is some truth to what you're saying but they only get insecure girls, and generally aren't building strong relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 01:38 PM
6

No - "might be the situation" is just basic forward thinking logic. It's perfectly rational for young people to imagine themselves in relationships and prepare for that. Are you suggesting that virgins just give up and not prepare or think about future relationships, family-building and kids, etc?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 01:36 PM
2

Like I said, women have an extremely easy job, that's obvious. What sexual skills are women good at on average?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:46 PM
0

I agree that most reasonable people have the take you're describing, and yes, probably to the commenter I replied to - but not necessarily to the OP, who says that the majority of all men are using women for sex
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:45 PM
2

I mean yeah exactly, I agree. Are you saying that sincerely or ironically? Have guys really spent that much on you?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:32 PM
2

100% agreed - intent matters
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:32 PM
2

Women aren't exactly skilled either lol. They just have a much much easier job
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:27 PM
2

None of that whatsoever changes the fact that sex is a 2-person consensual activity with no upfront cost. If we agree to go cliff jumping, am I "using" you? No - you agreed to join me because you thought it would be fun, you assessed the risk on your own and decided it was worth doing. End of story If you choose men who are bad in bed consistently then I suggest you try harder to find good ones or start communicating more in bed
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:25 PM
2

I like how this philosophy is reflected in the movies written by women as well - all the "strong women" are perfect angels who just need the world to recognize how amazing they are
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:00 PM
1

Yes they do hope that, but that doesn't mean they act on it - they usually don't have the luxury of dropping a girl and moving onto another, if they are even lucky enough to have sex in the first place
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 11:59 AM
2

What's bad about consensually sleeping around?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 11:58 AM
2

Are they not? When I was dating, I paid the bill regardless of whether I was looking for sex or a relationship. Usually it was drinks and an appetizer though tbf.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 11:56 AM
-1

Why is a quick fuck necessarily "using" someone?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 11:55 AM
2

Why do you define consensual sex as "using" someone? It is a decision made by both parties and doesn't cost either - nothing like a meal that is bought by one party for the enjoyment of the other.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 11:55 AM

I hope you find what you're looking for lol.

Which ways
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/23 03:11 PM

Not a big deal to be a virgin at 30. Do you have friends?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/23 03:08 PM
1

How does that prove that it's active?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/23 02:59 PM
1

Nah it's not active. It's passive. Why would women want to be approached by strangers when they can just hook up with men from their social circles or from hinge?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/23 02:12 PM
2

Certainly victim mindset - taking advice on self improvement would invalidate their frustrations. It's like trying to tell a radical feminist to work on her resume instead of blaming sexism for every slight she's ever received and every job she hasn't gotten
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/23 02:10 PM
4

They just assume that successful men are practically a different breed (better looking, taller, more money, less social anxiety etc.), such that their advice doesn't even apply
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/23 02:09 PM
6

They have different standards but definitely not lower ones
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/23 01:26 PM
1

Women also don't like it when men obsess over 10/10 supermodel women or porn women - it's not just men that complain about standards being "too high".
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/23 02:43 PM
1

Lol ok but you haven't explained why it matters. The cake analogy breaks down because the cake actually gets smaller and has germs still on it lol. So you have to explain what's analogous about the woman, given that she can take a shower and if anything, may be in better shape if she's had more partners
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/23 03:48 PM
0

I hope you don't believe that the existence of one crude joke is evidence for the beliefs of 4 billion people
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/23 03:08 PM
2

How so?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/23 03:07 PM
5

Nobody claims you'll lose the ability to taste cake by trying too many flavors; they argue that trying too many flavors makes it less likely you'll eventually commit to just one cake flavor for the rest of your life. I'm not saying I agree, but in your cake analogy, it's 1000% true that tasting lots of cake makes it less likely you'll commit to just one cake lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/23 03:06 PM
2

it's totally the opposite for most men - hard to demonstrate the different aspects of your personality when you approach - you can't just say 'hi stranger! I love playing the guitar and ultimate frisbee, what are your interests?' - at least you can't do this unless she accepts your advance and wants to talk, despite probably not being interested in meeting guys that night
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/23 01:32 AM
5

The wealthy elite are also a small percentage of the population, but a huge amount of political distress is based around those jealousy of those people. I'm not saying it's rational, just that it's how people are
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/23 05:05 PM
6

Why would a guy approach a woman irl? Dating apps work fine if you're good looking enough for a cold approach to work
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/23 04:56 PM
2

Depends what you consider failing, but obviously they do fail relative to their own goals, just as men do. It's not their fault that men and women have different goals on average. "Getting approached" would mean instant success to many men, but not for women (on average).
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 07:20 PM
1

Incorrect, I do. All the ones without a stable bf/fiance/husband complain very often about it among their close friends, and many even with stable BF's still complain, mainly about them not proposing soon enough/at all. Doesn't mean they don't enjoy salsa dancing with their married friends though, of course
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 04:53 PM
1

I still don't understand, can you rephrase your question?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 03:35 PM
3

In my experience, men don't complain much (relatively speaking), and women complain a lot, but only in specific situations; ie. Among trusted friends, usually other women. It's a common meme that men bottle up their frustration, and it's a meme for a reason. Women definitely do not cope better with singledom after the age of about 25 - after that, singledom can absolutely destroy a woman, especially because of her biological clock. Now that I've got that out of the way - I never said there weren…

1

I don't understand the question. What do you mean by "forget in there"?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 03:07 PM
11

The men are often specifically complaining about their lack of success, while the women are often not. Plenty of reasons to be here even if you aren't failing in the dating world. I personally have had good luck with women overall (nothing crazy, but I certainly don't consider myself a failure in dating and am in a happy relationship)
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 03:04 PM
14

Of course not, but there's obviously a correlation. Even many of the men here say theyre bad looking, and argue that their bad looks are part of the reason for their low confidence, which further impacted their lack of success with women
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 02:01 PM
3

Families don't always live in the same country/state/province etc., And in those cases they may not see each other for years and years Edit: that being said, I definitely agree the story overall sounds really fishy
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/23 11:19 AM

Why does a fridge keep your food cold? Why is a knife good at cutting things? Because that's what it's built for.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/23 11:34 PM

I don't think men say they prefer a housewife because they think women enjoy that lifestyle; men (humans in general) are not that selfless. I also don't think it's sexist to want a housewife anymore than it's sexist for a woman to want a tall man who makes good enough money to support a household
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 12:26 PM
1

Make some
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 01:43 PM

Your post said you have to approach - that was incorrect. You should focus first on a social circle because it's good for your mental health and as a bonus, it's attractive to women if you have friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 03:29 AM
1

Do I really have to explain? How young are you exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 03:27 AM

Then you're in trouble and should probably focus on that first
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 03:26 AM

Cottage weekend with friends, summer camp, high school, bars with friends, skating rink with friends. Literally just places with friends where friends brought more friends to hang out
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 03:24 AM

I met them as friends same way I meet guys, and then they evolved in different ways into relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 03:21 AM

I've had 6 relationships and never approached.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 03:19 AM
1

As I explained very clearly, it is what potential partners rightly care about. I suggest you grow up if you want to have a successful relationship in the future.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:59 PM
5

You are proving my point and saying you disagree: what a person does (and how efficiently they do it) is exactly the part of a person that is most relevant to their potential partners, especially if the dating will be serious at all. For example, how will you be as a parent? Will you be able to feed and house a family while your partner gives birth? Will you be able to take care of things if she gets sick? If you are a person without these abilities, it's fair to seek another type of person.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:50 PM
6

A person's income is more representative of who they are (and how they will function as a partner) than their hair color. Most people don't care about the distinction between traits that are technically attached to ones biological body and those that aren't.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 03:43 PM
5

Yeah, as you say, all humans value results, and it's easy to see why, especially for serious dating and family raising, which is the goal for many women especially between 25-35. That is to say: your personality means very little when all you can provide a pregnant wife is a rusty shack in the woods and instant mac and cheese.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 02:39 PM
1

Let's think about it for 3 seconds shall we? Your responses are leaving out key bits of logic. For example, each example you give isolates one personality trait, as is each is only valued on its own, which is obviously not the case; ex. intelligence is only valuable when combined with other traits like compassion and drive. This is extremely obvious; nobody, man or woman, can judge a potential partner on one trait alone, which is proven by your examples. It makes no sense to choose a man on IQ a…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 02:36 PM
13

That is a backwards distinction, to put more value on the body than on money because the body is "essential to a person's humanity", because things like height are far more shallow and unrelated to a person's actual personality than the money they make, which is a result of their choices, persistence, intelligence, etc. Men often put the burden to make money on themselves but they give other responsibilities to the woman they date, ie. Doing a lot of extra work in raising babies. Just because yo…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 01:36 PM
10

That was unexpected
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 01:25 PM
13

Why would it be on her especially if many men might be very happy to date a woman making 50% of what they make? Additionally, I disagree that having preferences means you don't value someone as a human. Everyone has physical preferences in dating (weight, height, hair color) and that is also fine even though those aren't essential to a person's humanity
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/23 01:23 PM
8

I guess you've never met a single woman who's approaching 30 and wants kids
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 12:06 PM
2

That's necessarily what it means for men in relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 03:59 PM

So then what are your implying with your comment?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 09:44 PM
1

Has a woman really said that to you? That's not even advice
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 07:11 PM
1

Mind elaborating? What have you done to improve yourself that was based on advice from women? And was it advice from women you know personally or internet women?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:52 PM
2

If you're overweight and asking women in your life for advice, then it could be useful to hear, assuming you didn't realize that your health/weight was an issue. On the other hand, if you already realize your weight is your dating issue, then you obviously should be seeking advice from diet and fitness experts, not women in general
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:48 PM
1

A young (18-25) attractive woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:34 PM
2

It is likely to help with other women though. And generally speaking, a well adjusted person isn't going to say to your face that they'd never date you because of a physical deficiency. Expecting that level of honesty from anyone except a close friend is setting yourself up for disappointment
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:22 PM
2

Oh, my mistake. I agree that "eat x calories" is generally better advice that "get fit", but I don't think it's useless advice. If you ask a woman who doesn't know anything about fitness what she thinks about your chances in dating, she may not have the info to help you, but she can still direct you to understand how she views your issue, which might be shared by other women. That's why she'd recommend getting fit.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:20 PM
2

That's my point :) so she gives you actually helpful advice, if she's a human with basic social skills
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:15 PM
3

Aren't we talking about whether the advice is genuine? Your example of "be fit" sounds extremely genuine!
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:14 PM
1

That's a great point :)
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:13 PM
3

I find it more likely that they don't tell you certain truths because those are the traits you can't change; if a woman says to you that you're too short for her, how does that help you? Instead she tells you something she thinks you can actually achieve, which is best for everyone
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:10 PM
2

Exactly right :)
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:08 PM
2

I disagree with that as well, speaking as someone who's had pretty severe social anxiety my entire life. Men can work on their confidence if they have the will to do so, especially if they can get a therapist - but even without one, they can expose themselves to social situations and learn new skills. It's just very scary for those with low confidence so they often don't do it
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:07 PM
1

Lol, sorry for recognizing the reality of dating. Good arguments though my friend, well done
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:05 PM
1

Male confidence isn't a status. I dated for years in my 20's while living with my parents. Some men would use that as an excuse to be a little baby and act like they would fail because of that, or complain about it, or rent an apartment that would make them poor and complain about that. But I didn't, and I had plenty of success
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 06:00 PM
2

So if you were in marketing, you'd only talk to other marketers; never your prospective customer?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 05:57 PM
2

It's easy to be sunny when you're in my demo ie. 30 y.o. male, dating women who are desperate (or at least highly motivated) to find a good partner to settle down with. They certainly aren't skipping over the 90% of guys who aren't loud assholes
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 05:56 PM
1

Not really, after high school. Go on a relationship-geared dating app like hinge and all you need is to be self assured, not a jockish asshole. Women over 25 looking for a relationship will generally be happy with that
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 05:43 PM
1

Generalizations are perfectly fine and useful in many contexts, but in the context of dating, I'd say that guys don't need to be loud and obnoxious - unless they're going to pick up girls in specific scenarios like at a party or club. If you're on dating apps or dating in your social circle, you can easily display confidence without that stuff
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 05:41 PM
2

Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 05:36 PM
1

Disagree; women are extremely turned off by low confidence men, so why would it not be genuine when a woman tells you to avoid that trait? It makes perfect sense at least from their perspective.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 05:35 PM
2

You can work on your confidence by exposing yourself to new experiences. Its not easy, and a therapist is helpful - but it's not like a low confidence man is completely at the mercy of his current level of confidence.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 05:32 PM
1

Most women aren't on the internet giving interviews, and the ones who are aren't representative. Most women you meet on a dating app will be happy if you're simply self assured and driven - they're not, on average, going to have anything like a deal-breaker that demands you be the center-of-attention all the time
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 05:20 PM
1

It's not (totally) useless imo, since confidence is something that you can work on. It would be like telling a homeless person to get a job; ie. It's pretty obvious and not that specific, but it's basically a sound suggestion. You might be a guy who has a good job but is self conscious about your looks. Hearing the advice about confidence may help you to realize that working out, dressing well and going to therapy could be the key to turning things around, for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 05:18 PM
13

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to discuss sex and gender issues without generalizations. Can you even name a "gender issue" without invoking a generalization?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 08:10 PM
1

Well I'm certainly not trying to do any kind of "gotchya" but yeah I would just say that, in my experience, single girls who are 18-24 are very very different on average from those that are 24-35, and they have different values. I'm not trying to say that being driven is going to totally override other negative traits, just that it is valued by many women who are in the age range for dating and having kids
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:32 PM
1

What age range are you dating in, how are you meeting girls, and how did you communicate those traits?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 05:06 PM
0

The positive traits you listed (studious, intelligent, driven, passionate, caring) are extremely beneficial to men looking for long term relationships with mature women, and therefore, those traits are ideal for passing on your genetic material. So I'd say that even in our culture, we're still merit based
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 04:49 PM
2

It goes without saying that you shouldn't be a creep lol. The advice is good as long as you have basic social skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 04:45 PM
2

When it comes to men's view on casual sex, when you remove those looking only for marriage or who are already married, they are similar enough to agree on exciting to bang a hottie regardless of a similarity in personality
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 05:46 PM
1

In this context I believe we are talking about men who are generally open to casual sex :)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 05:44 PM
0

What do you mean, which idea? What gaslighting?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/23 04:37 PM
2

What assumptions, in your view, are going to make a man who's interested generally in casual sex, suddenly not want to fuck his skinny, big-titted friend after an evening of hanging out where she's in a sexy little outfit?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/23 04:03 PM
4

Most guys are very very happy to just fuck, and don't need to take on a specialized "role" in order to enjoy sex. I'd guess that only those with a severe porn addiction need to have a specific dynamic play out in order to be interested in sex
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/23 02:49 PM
1

Are you saying that she is your type physically but you were turned off by her personality being similar to yours? Care to elaborate?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/23 02:48 PM
6

This is not generally how men think
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/23 01:32 PM
17

I've never met a guy who wouldn't smash a hot girl just because she has a "similar personality" to him. If anything that's a plus
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/23 01:31 PM
1

What makes you think that women leaving the workforce would increase male suicide rates (faster than they're already climbing)?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 07:21 PM
2

Hinge in Toronto has been kind to me
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 06:10 AM
2

I'm 30. In terms of timelines for having kids, certainly 26 is ideal, but if we take kids out of the equation then yeah, I'd still generally think of women around 25-27 to be ideal physically and maybe even mentally
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/23 08:22 PM
1

Yeah I'd be curious as well!
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/23 06:44 PM

It's just a feeling, they never articulated beyond that. I think that's how most preferences are, regardless of whether you tack on a justification

No problem at all. I definitely view you as an outlier but of course that's just based on my experiences. And yeah, most girls I've known do like to be called strong - but are sensitive about words like jacked, swol or even muscular. Also, they like to be strong - but not stronger than me. Several have said they would hate that
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/23 05:51 PM

There were different ways it was brought up and expressed, but basically yes. One common example which happened a few times happened whenever something caused me to appear shorter than the girl - for example, she is standing on a stool in the kitchen and I come up to hug her. We joke about what it would be like if that was our actual height difference and they will then grimace and say how weird/upsetting that would be. I personally have no problem with that, but yes I've heard it many times. I'…

To be blunt, your post is only reasonable if you are very ugly or very short, or have some other immutable characteristic holding you back. Otherwise, you have a reasonable chance of finding a mutual relationship. It might require you to move cities, date more actively (say by joining a religious temple, or a club or activity, or going to singles events etc.)

Ah yes random stranger with anecdotal evidence on the internet, I'm sure your beliefs are totally objective and without bias! Also the data is from OkCupid, not exactly a hookup spot. Try being a little less pompous when your only proof is "I talked/listened to individuals and made up my mind", which is the basis for every incorrect theory ever thought up.

They're practically opposites. Equal outcome means stripping Liberty to achieve homogeneity
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/22 02:34 AM

Ah ok well I would be careful using your own experience to draw conclusions about the broader world. Data from Dating apps says the opposite: that women are much harder judges, judging that a whopping 80% of men are "below average" attractiveness
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/22 02:31 AM
1

A man usually believes he is bringing a lot more than just his own level of attractiveness to a relationship, and personally he usually values attractiveness highly. So it makes sense he would want the partner to be higher in attractiveness at the cost of some other trait like earning potential, height etc. So just because a man thinks you're more attractive than him doesn't necessarily mean you're overall more "valuable" as a relationship partner; it just means he values attractiveness
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/22 02:23 AM

Huh? What's your source that tells you men are more brutal when judging attractiveness?

This is Reddit, we comment on other people's lives. And that's a silly argument because there are tons of toxic relationships based on bad fundamentals like sex, money, power, fear, etc, which lead to bad outcomes.

This is certainly true but doesn't change the above comment

They don't need you be identical but like I said they need to be able to relate to each other. If you can't empathize with your partners point of view/understanding of the world, you don't be able to build a strong relationship or make important decisions as true partners
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/22 12:42 PM

The relative amount of change between those time periods is irrelevant to the likelihood that a 40 year old man will relate to a 19 year old girl

In any city there is a huge dating pool of successful or potentially successful men (ie. In school and unlikely to become full time dishwashers) just on dating apps alone, not to mention in pubic meeting places and interest clubs etc Of course they look for more than just looks. There is also more a woman can offer than just her salary.

A lot of men do use women for sex, and women can easily avoid those men by simply not having a lot of pre marital sex. No reason to get uptight about personal preferences
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/22 11:00 AM

Your first claim is false: women prefer men who make more money or the same amount, while men do not share this preference to the same degree, meaning there is a clear difference in incentive. News flash: men and women value different things, and women are generally the selectors of relationships in our society. I agree staying at home is uncommon due to economic reasons but that doesn't mean women don't want the option to work less so they can be with their family more which they obviously do.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/22 10:53 AM

There's much less incentive for women to get high paying jobs compared to men in the dating market, so why would she? Besides, if she wants a family, she may want to take massive breaks from work or even be a stay at home mother. These are all very reasonable and not a reason that most men would discount her as a long term romantic partner
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/22 10:44 AM

Why is it "wrong" to choose man A who works as a developer over man B who works in the back of a warehouse? Especially if you want to build a family, it makes much much more sense to go for the first for many reasons
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/22 10:26 AM

I dunno about that. If the woman is hot, why would she be happy with someone with a low paying job when she can likely get someone with even more income?

/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 12:34 AM

I'm not bothered and I'm not asking any women out since I'm in a serious relationship. It's never been a problem for me at all since like I said, almost every single woman I've been on a first date with offered to pay. Burden has nothing to do with this conversation. My issue with your ideas has never been that some people can't afford the outcome of what you're talking about. So I'm not sure why you keep coming back to that - I guess it's easier than responding to what I'm actually saying. Yes,…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 12:31 AM
2

You're making far too many assumptions. I do pay for all the first dates I go on unless the girl really wants to chip in, but I would be turned off by any woman who thought it was my responsibility based on the fact I asked them out. Most offer to pay, which I find to be polite, and I tell them it's ok, I'm happy to pay. I have no issue with the social norm itself, but rather with your insistence that there is inherent logic to the norm based on your thin reasoning. The social norm also did not …
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 12:18 AM

So the truth comes out. Your entire argument is just "that's what other people do". Very concrete argument there!
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 11:51 PM
2

I don't find your reasoning obvious at all as you seem to. You have the ability to say no to a date; nobody is forcing you to go to a restaurant. If you agree to eat out, there is no moral or logical reason you aren't responsible for what you eat. You are an adult afterall and are responsible for your actions even if the event of eating was suggested by someone else. Now, if you're a child and your mommy takes you to burger king that's one thing, but that's not what we're talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 11:27 PM
1

Why do you believe that the person who asks out the other person should pay?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 10:56 PM
4

Is your approach to simply bring up irrelevant arguments? I never said that any amount of dates is out of my budget. Budget is not relevant whatsoever to the argument you just made that "If you ask me out, you should pay."
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 09:40 PM

How incredibly convenient this POV is for the gender that almost never asks the other gender out, and very often expects to be asked out.

Obviously there are few absolutes; Most humans have 2 hands but if you want to be technical, you could say that not all do. But for the purposes of most conversations, it's plenty to say that humans have 2 hands. Similarly most women want kids, and most who want kids want a relationship and marriage
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 01:11 PM
3

Based on your moral compass, I personally would not consider you to be out of anyone's league when it comes to long term relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/22 06:18 PM

This is like saying that nobody who punches themself in the face should be "forced" to be punched in the face. It's non sensical because the actor is creating the consequences

Both men and women have a responsibility to the children they create. Easy peasy

Normal women are not invisible, are you crazy? Be an average woman and go on the apps, or to a bar, or to an event, or to an activity based club. You will have a way way way easier time getting attention from single people of the opposite sex than an average guy would.

Living with your parents isn't a death sentence if you're on track to be well set up financially and you're looking for a real relationship as opposed to hooking up.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/22 09:29 PM

My claims have nothing to do with my experiences being different. Studies as well as top level competitive gaming show that men are out-competing women in competitive games.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/22 08:33 PM

At least you're honest
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/22 08:27 PM

The fact that men play it doesn't negate the point at all that its one of the games that is especially attractive to women compared to, for example, call of duty or mortal Kombat.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/22 12:25 PM
1

It's pretty circular to say that a person's taste in games is influenced by which games they enjoy lol. Men on average do enjoy and perform better at competitive games like shooters and fighting games.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/22 12:24 PM

How early are you telling people about this? I usually don't discuss it till about 3 months into a serious relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 08:55 PM

That's not underlying causality but it is a good idea
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:36 PM

Is it wrong? Depends who committed the infidelity and/or abuse
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 01:36 PM
1

How does one identify the "underlying causality"?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 12:43 PM
1

This logic is twisted. Are you saying that I, as an individual, should take into account the misdeeds of all men in my decision making? It doesn't even make sense since I'd be taking on only the failures and not the success (which creates marriages and therefore women who are not available)
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 12:11 PM
1

I didn't say they were alike or which one was hard or easy. However, it's obviously not "easy" for lots of people to get sex. It seems that you missed my point. I'm saying that those who have the ability to be sexually successful will have more potential partners open to them for both sex and love. That doesn't mean the journey itself is "easier", but that they have a wider assortment of partners to choose from.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 12:07 PM
1

But if you were sexually successful you'd have lots of options for love
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 07:57 PM
1

You seem to be skipping the fact that those who are successful with gorgeous women also have more options when it comes to LTRs as well as hookups. Best of both worlds.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 07:47 PM
1

I mean, there are tons of guys who act like this too, many of which will claim they're real pussy slayers. Not sure what this proves
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 05:53 PM
3

But it makes perfect sense to categorize pc gamers and console gamers, even though both groups are fluid, ie. A PC gamer can play consoles. Your argument doesn't at all undercut the fact that these types of categories are extremely useful despite not being 100% concrete.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 02:55 PM

You are completely ignoring the rate at which they patronise OF compared to all straight men lol. I hope it's trolling and not just really bad cognitive dissonance.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 06:53 AM

But you understand that the OPs question is a broad question about men overall? Averages are extremely important to that question unless you prefer to just use anecdotes

How so?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 04:01 PM

Sorry but you're crazy if you're saying that sexual attractiveness only matters in porn, especially for men. I'd love to see some data indicating that 30 y.o. women have more/better dating options than 22 or 25 y.o. women. One thing I'll say to your point is that people today so take longer to mature, so that is a slight point in favor of 30 y.o. women, but younger woman definitely have the capacity to be motherly. Especially if a man wants several kids (if you date a 30 y.o. woman for 2 years, …

... What did I say that exclusivity relates to porn?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 10:11 AM
1

What do you mean so? The Topic is whether men prefer to date younger
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 09:18 AM
1

The data says that men overall are most attracted to younger girls
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 02:27 AM
1

And guys are most attracted to girls in their early twenties (physically, and on average)
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 02:26 AM
8

Statistically, men like younger women. A 30 y.o. and a 50 y.o. and an 80 y.o. man will find young women, like low 20's, to be the most attractive, on average. It's a hard truth to take, but it's the truth (on average).
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 01:31 AM

Except I never claimed that.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 06:23 PM

Who cares what "the age was"? I'm making a case about the generalities of dating. If you think I'm wrong then explain why I'm wrong, not why my current argument against you doesn't precisely map to the original ages discussed. Are you really trying to say that people commenting on this sub are representative of the larger population? They aren't even representative of the total Reddit users, or even total Reddit users on this sub
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 05:04 PM

It's extremely obvious that there are way more 18-30 year olds dating than there are 30-90 year olds. If you really don't believe that, one place you could look is the average age people get married across countries. You don't find that people are settling down at 50 on average...
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 01:54 PM

You're not exactly in the age range of most people dating then. So I don't see your anecdote as very representative even if an anecdote was useful in the first place
