How you guys fucked up in your marriages?I drank way too much, was way too harsh with my words, smoked weed, and could be abusive at times. I'll never forgive myself but I will continue to always improve. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/02/24 06:02 PM

StrugglingA friend of mine actually left his wife, got a much hotter wife and a big house and I still see this darkness over him whenever the subject of his ex-wife comes up. I don't think the anger ever truly stops. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/02/24 07:44 AM

Watching your wife go from your partner to your adversary is one of the most insane things I can imagineThat is truly horrific. Mine wasn't as much of a surprise. It was shocking, but not completely unexpected. We had some major blowouts. Lots of crying. But the weekend before she left was so good. I was so happy and relieved. I hope you have made much progress | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/02/24 10:14 AM
Watching your wife go from your partner to your adversary is one of the most insane things I can imagineI got into the swinging scene as a single male for a while, I have been to two orgies and I have been with one prostitute and I have left all of those experiences feeling very empty. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/02/24 10:11 AM
Watching your wife go from your partner to your adversary is one of the most insane things I can imagineWhy do you think it takes us so long to recover but women seem to go on as if it were nothing? | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/02/24 03:19 AM
Watching your wife go from your partner to your adversary is one of the most insane things I can imagineWell the lowest point for me is knowing that she is with someone else. I truly believe that she remained faithful. Not sure what your low point will be. But on the plus side the healing will truly begin at that point. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/02/24 01:45 AM
Watching your wife go from your partner to your adversary is one of the most insane things I can imagineAh man. You are so early in the process. You got a ways to go. It'll get worse but then it'll get better. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/02/24 01:36 AM

For Those that did ALL the houseworkDude I tried so hard to compromise with housework until I went blue in the face. Fuck. So I just decided to do all of it. I wasn't in a partnership at all. I just had a messy roommate. | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/01/24 08:34 PM
I saw my x wife at Walmart and I feltHonestly I agree with this. It is amazing to be at this point in 3 months. I haven't seen my ex-wife in almost 2 years and if I saw her I think I would just die. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/01/24 05:35 PM
What are some signs you saw in the beginning but ignored that later contributed to the reason to your divorceAvoidant. She also uses some people. She was broke in college and manipulated a guy friend into buying her groceries. I did not know until he messaged me about it telling me that he was cutting her off. I confronted her about it and she said to not listen to him "because he's weak" I had never been so disgusted by her before... yet I still married her because we had been through so much already and I didn't think I'd find anybody else. The fear of scarcity is destructive. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/01/24 01:52 AM
Time heals all woundsI never moved from the place that we lived in together and this place is now starting to seem like my own. It's hard imagining that she ever lived here. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/01/24 08:19 PM
How do you feel about your wife keeping your surname after the divorce?I would be disgusted | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/01/24 08:28 PM
How many of you got arrested during your divorce?I hit her as well. It was all toxic. Again, I am not a victim. Edit: I looked up what IC is. I did go. It was part of my plea agreement to go to individual and group counseling for domestic violence. I think I have found out a way to stop the cycle of abuse. I haven't tested it out yet. I just know how to navigate really bad situations like that. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/01/24 10:20 PM
How many of you got arrested during your divorce?I appreciate that. I have my good and bad days. I will never be able to truly forgive myself for what happened in our marriage. Had I been a better household leader and husband this would have never happened. Some days she's the devil, some days she's the one that got away, and others I believe that this is just the flow of life. I am no victim, though. Despite the domestic violence that went on in our relationship, I miss my poopy and it sucks. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/01/24 09:17 PM
How many of you got arrested during your divorce? No and no. She gave one of the dogs away to a friend when I was in jail. As for the other, that was her very first dog and my third. I wasn't going to take that dog away from her. And there was a mandatory protection order placed upon my arrest. I wasn't able to talk to her for 18 months. I sent her a letter apologizing for the whole situation and wishing her the best a few months ago. It was the closure I needed. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/01/24 04:38 PM
How many of you got arrested during your divorce?I did. I f***** up. When I saw that she took my two dogs I had a mental breakdown and left a death threat via email since she blocked me on everything else. I was in jail for 5 days until my family bonded me out. I had to go through 18 months of probation and go through individual and group therapy for domestic violence. I handled it very poorly but what I learned during that time somewhat made it worth it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/01/24 01:39 AM

I’m so confused. What’s her point to do this?Looking for reason out of a woman's actions is usually a fruitless endeavor | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/01/24 11:19 PM
This is not meIt is definitely not all bad. I have taken many life lessons from it and had I learned about some of those lessons this situation would have never happened. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/01/24 05:14 PM
The world is so big now.I'm 31 and I have been working in web and software development for almost 10 years | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/23 05:12 PM
The world is so big now.We abused each other. And I know her. She had the entire thing planned for months, even years. She is just a very practical person and wouldn't double back like that. It is done. Zero infidelity. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/23 12:01 PM
The world is so big now.I can say many things about my ex but a double backer she is not. The way it went down, there is zero chance of her ever coming back. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/23 12:39 AM

StoicismThat's why man caves are a thing. It is our way to be happy. We are pushed into a room of our own homes | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/23 11:19 PM
StoicismYou are damn right about everything else seeming like nothing. Things like starting a business seem like less of a daunting prospect. It was also under stated just how much of an undertaking inviting another woman into your life is. Ugh. Loss of solitude and constant turmoil in my life. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/23 06:04 PM
