I do vent to my work friends that have never met my husband. As a result, they all hate him. It's to the point now that saying anything nice would be so out of character that I don't talk about him when things are good. I can absolutely see how this would ruin bonds if the friends actually knew him.

"I don't want to over extend". "Id rather live below our means" "I don't want to be house poor". "Id feel more secure if we plan expenses off one income". You are the one trying to be frugal.

You are only 26, your twenty's are not over. Start enjoying life now. I've struggled with bouts of depression my entire life. Now, I'm 39 thinking I wasted my 30s, and my children's tender years being depressed. Get it under control now. The physical and mental are connected in ways they are hard to understand. Take care of your physical health starting this very moment. Find a family doctor that will see you once a month to monitor your progress. Do several self care activities everyday. If you…

I don't fully agree that the culture at large is pro trans. Outside of trans circles and anti-trans political pundits, normal every day people don't pay too much attention to the trans topic and just generally don't want to be assholes for no reason. I think you can and will find that people accept your new identity if you accept yourself.

Get what help you can. Call YOUR doctor and tell them you are having a mental health crisis. They will probably just prescribe Prozac, but it might help enough to stabilize you. You are not going to loose your baby for crying. Are there any women that can come help you a little and provide some company? Immigrant communities tend to rally around each other. Tell the group chat the high level story that you just had a baby and need help. You actually can leave while he's at work and stay in a hot…

I know a doctor w 3 kids and one w 5 kids and they both have stay at home dads. I am also aware of a few Dr/Dr couples that have nannies. My friend had to argue to get taken off 24 hr rotations when she was pregnant as a resident and they didn't do it untill she was second trimester and visibly pregnant. It's hard, life is hard, choose your hard. Meeting someone and fostering a relationship while in medical school does sound challenging as well, but both of those ladies me heir husbands at that …

Im sorry that a RP man hurt you. Believe it or not this is a place where women come to build each other up. You are tearing a woman down without attempting to understand her perspective.

"However he has told me that he would want to at least experience some intimacy (a handjob etc) before dating me." Run away from this man. Saying "be my girlfriend" is not a big deal at all. Stating that you have to touch his penis first to a virgin is mind boggling for me. He already wants to push your boundaries. Things that are a big deal for you are not a big deal for him. There's a mismatch here. I know dating as an adult virgin is challenging, I've seen some friends deal with it. I think d…

Yes, they are like that. Im not going to "not all red pill men" or "a true red pill man wouldnt do that." Understanding that a huge amount of men operate this way internally is part of RPW, imo. I'm not sure if you are actually surprised or trying to flip people here. Most men, even some women, choose to ignore violence against women unless it's done by a person/group they don't like. A further extension is what you are describing. Most of them are joking and a small terrifying number actually w…

We don't give gifts only to reciprocate w anyone, even if things are good You do not owe him a birthday gift of any kind because he bought you things. Give from a place of abundance where you are so happy in who you are and want to share with others due to genuine love and kindness.

It's human nature to feel uncomfortable when things don't fit our previous realities, even good things. A lot of us self sabotage by looking for problems that aren't there or picking fights. Like you said, you are used to chaos and now you are finding this situation uncomfortable because you are itching for the old timeline. I think there is a protective intuition, like your brain telling you not to get in the van w the stranger w candy, but it can go haywire. Add "cooks all meals" to your list.…

You can want what you want. It's not wrong. However, if you exude gold digger energy the men that you attract are going to almost exclusively be those that want a sugar daddy / sugar baby relationship. Again, not wrong if it's what you want. It works sometimes but that type of man tends to not see women as equal etc. Unless you are running a farm, managing a household w no kids is nowhere close to the work of a full-time job. No one really sees it that way. The idea that you are attracting contr…

Unfortunately I did find myself in a financially abusive situation, which utterly surprised me because my grandmother was a SAHM that ran all the finances, so I thought that was the norm. Beyond financial control he felt entitled to try to control most aspects of what I did and where I went. He thought I worked for him because he made the money. I honestly think this has to do w the nature of the man, not being a sahm. He had controlling tendencies before I stopped working, I just had a stronger…

1. That's not a lot. My female friends that did casual sex had numbers in the 20s. They are all married now. 2.Just lie. I honestly wish I had, as it caused issues w my husband's respect for me. Most men assume women are lying and have been taught to put a multiplier on it. It's a white lie IMO. That is not who you are, it's not verifiable in any way and it has the potential to hurt a partner. My bff does not count any of her one night stands in her 'number'. She came to peace w the idea that th…

Your concerns are valid but your hopes that seeing a therapist will magically change him are not realistic. We can't change people. The idea that his love for you will motivate him to change is wrong. A therapist that he doesn't even want to go to is not going to fix him. It might help his depression. Most therapists for depression are extremely affirming, and it's likely they are going to tell him to be firm in his parenting decisions, not change the ones you don't care for. What I got from my …

It's going to take some will powder from you to look at a mess, but you can stop doing everything for him. You are already resentful about it. Living with another person takes some time and effort to balance.

My perspective is that I am in a mixed religious background marriage and it is very hard. We were both non-religious before kids and I didn't understand how that would change later. I frequently think about how much easier it would be if that complication wasn't there for us.

I really don't think it matters that you aren't religious as long as you are not anti religious. You are not there for the men, you are there for the old ladies that will try to set you up w their nephew. Be open w church people that will listen that you are praying to find a good man. Even if you don't literally pray you can say that. Maybe pray once so you don't feel like a liar.

Learn from it and move on. His moral compass is different yours and the split was necessary but every second wasn't necessarily fake. Many men are not wired monogamously and do have the capacity to love more than one woman, usually to the dismay of the women involved. You really don't know what was in his heart. He may have believed he would leave in some moments. You did have something he didn't already have, it most likely is validation of himself as desirable, and hassle free joy, not just se…

Laura Doyle frames this as every interaction is a choice to preserve intimacy or say what you are thinking. Its up to you and some things are important enough that you need to risk your intimacy to hash them out. Maybe telling him he's about to miss a turn is worth it to you so you can be on time. Maybe you aren't late and you can just keep it in your head.

Grow the business to the point that it can be both of your jobs?

Right. Working class women were always working, either cottage industries, farming or even outside of the home. If kids were working at 9, their mother's were also working. It was super common for urban toddlers to be left with an 8-12 year old sister or elderly bed ridden person in charge. Country girls were sent to live in dorms and work in the textile mills for their teenage years. This reference point is important to keep us grateful and grounded.

If you are repressed but not religious it's not going to immediately change after marriage. You need to work through that somehow.

Im very confused as to how you are saving yourself for marriage but sexually dominant. I dont mean this to belittle you but if your idea of sex is from fantasy novels and online role play this is not true to life for most people. A woman that is vocal about what she wants sexually is not necessarily dominant, it can actually be a very balanced match as long as the man is not a selfish oaf. I man being submissive to you in daily life is not going to come off as masculine in nature though you may …

He may like you but it is also plausible that these people know you are into him and dangling that to get you to join the cult. A 20 year old that "can't date" is not controlling his own life and not someone you want to be involved with

We completely ditched tablets. The meltdowns that happened when taking it away were so epic it wasn't worth it, and I saw no real value. TV is for Saturday or earned for 30 minutes, or an educational YouTube video about something we are talking about. Once it becomes the routine it's really not that hard anymore. Kids under ten should be able to play with toys or play together. You don't have to entertain them either.

Ty. I'm not here to make excuses, I am just stuck in the same cycle for the past 10 years. I am somewhat of a yoyo dieter and I am currently loosing weight but I know well from the past that the amount of work is huge and the pay off never happens. I did GLP, lost 80 pounds and had a mental break down when the intimacy didn't improve and he told me truthfully that he was never attracted to me. Thanks for the reply. I have put a lot of effort into loving and improving myself after advice from this sub. I really don't think I can or even want to put that amount of effort to actually be thin enough to "solve" my husband's attraction problem. Trying to in the past left me mentally broken.

He is not going to change if the dynamic was like that from the beginning. Gifts is a love language that you have and he doesn't. You need to decide how important it is to you and if you can handle this for the rest of your life. He is good at many things but giving gifts is not one of them. If you marry he will provide you secure housing and basic needs and you can buy your own wants with your money.

I was able to pull myself out of depression with exercise, sauna and vegetable juicing. There is a huge overlap on physical and mental health. I am also obese, so I can't offer solid advice on how to loose and maintain weight. Don't think of exercise as a means to loose weight. Moving your body is essential for mental health and exercising 3x a week for 20 minutes is more effective than most anti depressants. I started doing self care 2 months ago and it has been revolutionary for me. This board…

1.Visas have changed in the last few years, I think all US spouse visas are allowed to work now. 2.That is a low salary for an engineer. you will be able to live comfortably but not extravagantly, and not saving much. Hiring domestic help is super expensive in the US and it is very likely that having a house cleaner won't be an option or will be a trade off for other things. 3.living apart from family is so so hard.

Knowing what you want is a great start. You do have a few years. Finding the right person is key. I had similar goals and made it work on paper, but my marriage is pretty awful to be honest. He had his own goals and somehow I fit his parameters and timeline, but I'm realizing 12 years later that he was never actually in love with me romantically. I chased him and completely changed myself to meet his whims and I regret it awfully now. The number one parameter has to be that he loves you (not eve…

We got up to the once monthly schedule from a staring point of I can't live this way. He does not see women and doesn't really have time to. It's all virtual. I think there was a one off when he was sick and honestly though he could die. I don't consider him a cheater. He doesn't like me but he tries his best to be faithful so I don't leave.

Not been, seen. He's a momma's boy golden child he was given pressure to perform by his dad, thats about it. He was not abused but his first wife left after a few months and I think that broke him a little. I always wonder if he actually loved her as he can't love me. But he probably was the same that's why she left.

I'm sorry that's rough. You need to find what little extras you can do for him and then open up a negotiation. He won't do PIV sex but he should agree to help you in some way to maintain the marriage. You need him to believe that you want to stay, not that you have no other option.

I have thought through this really hard twice. I can't keep threatening to leave every two years. Im staying so I want to lean in and make this work. I will not leave until my kids are grown. I don't want to be alone and I will not bring a non related male into my kids home. I would like to strengthen the relationship to the point that I can negotiate weekly bedroom activity, up from monthly He's allowing non sexual affection again. I am in a similar situation. We negotiated a schedule which helps somewhat with the pressure/rejection pain w both feel. He is more interested and more accommodating when I do the other things that please him and am respectful. Being sexually frustrated makes it harder to be respectful.
