Laundry service, shopping for: and cooking meals, gifts, clothes, household needs, toiletries, setting up appointments, housekeeping, reminding about appts, picking up dry cleaning and Rx, child care, nursing, transportation, volunteering at kid's school, arranging car maintenance, bookkeeping, medical appointments. And most wives provide support for their spouses by keeping them in appropriate clean clothing and shoes that fit, stupid potluck items for biz potlucks, showing up presentable at re…

Going to blame women for what the person who set the sub up failed to do? Ahhh, yes, golden, yet typical.

Because men play no role and are just victims? I strongly discourage my child from getting married. There is no benefit for women to do so. If they do, I want them to both sign contracts that include expectations including a division of labor. Men see marriage as transactional, so let's break it down to the numbers.and situations.

Maybe, you can ask your lawyer to say if she delays anymore from ____date that she's responsible for Your legal bills from that point on, since She's delaying the process costing you money. Now this will also be a test to see if your lawyer is a Mensch or not.

I think there you're looking for is misogynist: hatred of all women. Hoping to cheat on my spouse soon. I have never done so before in 30+ years of marriage. I, stupidly believed in the vows that I took. The spouse on the other hand cheated on me beginning the 4th year of our marriage for at least 10 years starting as soon as I got pregnant. Most of his fucks were with prostitutes which is how I found out he was cheating because I tested positive for a STD at the birth of my last child. I could'…

Sure there are some lazy ass sahms, probably the same for husbands. You're 100% correct that it's bullshit. Most husbands don't respect their wives because they've never given any thought about all that they do. Total bullshit.

Yay!! I'm So Happy For You & Your Son!!! Your parents will get to know your son better and vice versa. I'm glad to see that you finally, finally saw that it was she was the problem. After the papers are all signed and divorce is finalized, and not before, let her know she's not to contact you, especially if she wants money and to not go through you to contact your son. Best of luck to both of you!!

You get a list going with all the things she held you back from doing, then start doing them. It's going to feel weird yes more breathable without her. You know where you stand and now it's time for the lawyer to do their work. Get all your important docs together, all your accounts. Change your life insurance asap, same with apt/house & car, and take her name off. Today is the start of your new life. You're healthy and young and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Best of luck. I'd like t…

Give your lawyer everything you have including your son's texts, and let them decide what to use, it's what they do. Sorry you're going through this. Betrayal and all the years of lying hurt and the cherry, finding out she did this with your son present is disgusting. I hope you and your son stay close physically and emotionally. Staying with your parents sounds like a good idea for now. Take the time you need, and start to heal.

You might have been shitty in the past but she is being shitty now, in the present. Fight for what you want in this divorce. Don't be a sad sack. You live and learn and maybe your next relationship will be with someone great!

A divorce is the cut of apron strings. Be happy she's getting #'s from guys there. Better than a bar. Leave it alone don't even acknowledge her. Trust me the Basketball moms are going to tear her apart, bit by bit. Just you wait and see. Maybe get in good with them somehow.

Nope. Sorry. You'll do better without her.

Ask your lawyer if you can sue her for pain and suffering to pay off those debts. I mean you went into debt thinking she wasn't going to cheat on you. Some people are just so damn despicable.

About 10 years for my brother, which was unexpected & unnecessary. 6 months prior to death for my mother.

Give it to her when you'll be kinda close by but not around the kids. Maybe take the kids for a mini staycation. Put away anything or all of your prized possessions and important paperwork. Take the family photos with you. Turn off your phone tracker. Take your meds with you. If her car is in your name you might want to move it before you go. If you both have the same friends, give them a heads up that she's going to get some bad news and leave it at that. Good luck.

So sorry that you were treated badly. I swear midlife crisis is actually temporary insanity - which is what I think "love" is. Consider yourself lucky she's gone. Start doing everything that she held you back from doing in the past. Wash that girl right out of your hair.

We probably have different parties in mind. I also think this is the continuation of maturity taking longer to happen. And since they know everything, adulting doesn't happen.

Then she'll lose all respect because he's not a team player. All talk, but I get you. So, here's a secret: Women ruled marriages for millenia, they just did it without the husband's knowledge. They knew guys needed the ego. I'm not sure why both men and women now don't realize that marriage is a damn team sport with lifelong implications.

How old was this woman? Sounds like a teenager. I think consideration needs to be made when reading these. There's a lot of women here on Reddit that are from different countries or cultures. Arranged marriages are still a thing. Then there are those women that only care about the wedding, sorry groom. They want the attention, the dress, the party, the fantasy honeymoon. Then living with hubby pops their bubble. They are part of a couple and all the attention is now diluted and there's now a giv…

Where's your broom? Such sweeping generalities. But, I can say absolutely the same for my spouse. We're still married because he doesn't want to look like the bad guy, even though he did all the cheating, lying and betraying.

Nope. When guys know the stats of some athlete that has nothing to do with their lives, but can't do the dishes he used or pick up after his friends were over, or buy the Christmas presents for his family, that there are reasons to call it quits, emotionally.

Well. I was an Eeyore for many years. Then after she asked me, when was the last time I was happy? When did I last have a good life? For me I had to go back 35+ years, before I met my spouse. I was working with people I enjoyed and was going to school full time, traveling and going out and dancing. Now I'm doing things that I've always wanted to do: gym, martial arts, working on getting fit and getting my figure back, karaoke, dance lessons. Give yourself 5 minutes a day and try to remember when…

You mourn. You mourn hard and well. Then, as people do since day one, make new plans and carry on. The Best Revenge is Living Life Well. Make sure you've taken her name off all your life insurance plans. I'm not a man, but was cheated on for years. The betrayal felt like it would kill me. I cried, I got mad, then I mourned my life that I Thought I had and was to have in the future. I thought about the last time before marriage that I was happy. I'm trying to recreate that. I'm so sorry. Get a paralegal or lawyer. But consider yourself free. Do everything you can to cut ties with her ASAP. She is unstable and her parent's problem now. Get her Name off of Everything possible: life, health, home & car insurance, lease, credit cards, and money accounts. Send her mail back: return to sender, addressee forwarding address unknown. But new deadbolt locks. Block her. Don't talk to her friends, and don't talk to anyone about your plans.

Not a male, not divorced, but marriage is dead. You have been the only one who gets it. That some us need to go back and realize who we were before our role. Then go about and restructure your life.
