Let’s hear some dad jokes! No advice to give because I am starting the divorce process myself.

50/50 is fair and that’s what I will be pursuing. Nothing more, nothing less.

When this goes down, I want it to be amicable and I vow to be as helpful to her as I can. She is the mother to my kids and I loved her dearly at one point. She will always have a special place in life, even though things aren’t working out.

I don’t think I feel comfortable placing hidden cameras. There is no abuse and I have more faith in the stbx to take the low route on this.

No lawyers? That would be my dream. Those damn things are expensive and I’m worried one will sour the post divorce relationship.

Thank you for the advice and book recommendations. Some of those had been on my list. I will dive into those as I navigate this. Investing in me is important and I set aside time each to to improve myself physically, mentally and professionally. Regular exercise is important and I’m fortunate enough to be able to make the time to stay in shape.

It’s the kids I worry about the most. I love them too much to hurt them. They are the reason I have stayed this long. Honestly, I am mentally out at this point. Counseling has been very hit or miss for years. We always end up where we started and the issues never have been resolved.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
