Rape is notoriously difficult to prosecute, and if the allegations prove to be untrue(to any degree) or no conviction then it's 9 months or more for the victim? If he had pulled out of the relationship he'd be at the mercy of his teacher, which he is legally obligated to attend. The age of consent is there to protect minors from adults, 14 year olds can and do have sex all the time, a 14 year old lacks the experience and intelligence to consent to something that can carry life long ramifications. If someone was fat in high school or college does that impact your view of their potential to be a partner?
