There are chubby girls who are absolutely adorable and who I would love to know and date, many of them have boyfriends who I think are lucky guys, absolutely. That being said, wanting to categorize what "you like" as "nice, intellectually stimulating" and what "you don't" as "just any idiot guy off the street" is no better than saying she likes one because "physically fit" and the one she doesn't as "just an idiot, not fit." I.e., just cause the scaling metrics are different does not mean the pr…

Sounds unbearable, a woman picky about intangible things like personality and character while completely ignoring physical realities, especially on her part. She made herself the arbiter of all moral goodness, because it wasn’t happening physically. Then, because no one wants to be a “bad person” she will be approached by others seeking to prove their inherent goodness and noble sacrifice. Sounds like a keeper.

Sounds like any other woman, but since she let herself go, you can count on not being hassled to be anything more yourself. If anything you might need to come down a bit, gain some weight or else you might just not be AS cool. Get it?

Sexual dimorphism I believe that by more masculine personality/behavior, what you're describing is masculine maturity. The [Dicaprio/Leto] type, though masculine, are less mature in terms of adult responsibilities (not married/many partners) where as the [Hemsworth/Mamoa] type are both masculine and mature (aside from physical pursuits, which also signal a level of responsibility, married/no known infidelity, etc). At least within a more traditional framework. The short-term/long-term thing, is …

I’ll only add it’s not so much about the narrative but about the actual dynamic. SHE is requiring YOU perform before you can have what you desire. That’s not a relationship-framework I would seek to make a marriage. Either things change or you do, by going and finding elsewhere.

Agreed. IME, not only does it take years to break free from the fem-centric view single moms all impart that they don’t need a man, that you don’t need a father, that girl power can do anything just as good, the mom is unlikely to ever break from that perspective cause it’s been her whole world.

Observing the madness, this endless debate where everyday someone suggest the ultimate secret to dominating the other sex, which from everything I've seen, I can only conclude - pro tip: doesn't exist. My awkwardness began overnight, following what I would now describe as a PTSD triggered by an existential crisis. Despite having been attractive, smooth, and a natural flirt who was good at talking with women, from one day to the next, my ability to just be without a care in the world was gone, an…

Literally me. I do fairly well with girls, have opened relationships with HB8/9 like nothing. My problem is long term social skills. It’s not that I don’t know what to do to secure the long term goal. Often, I just haven’t cared about consequences, inevitably bringing down what I had made. This goes really well with being extremely awkward and just keeping on. Creativity is a hell of a two edge sword.

That's a theory. While I do agree with the theory, community and sex ARE NOT the same thing. Also, Maslow's heirachy placed companionship under self-esteem. That's kind of dangerous to be wanting sex when your self-esteem is low. Agreed, especially with the last point. I am not arguing for the convoluted mental gymnastics that occurs in the average incel or #pill thinking. Simply that all people are preprogrammed to need those things, not desire them. Yes, sometimes people want things that they …

Over-stimulation, via our sensory organs, in any area of life is bad. That does not mean sex is bad, nor an evil desire, etc. I'm pretty sure sex is on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, alongside food, water, community, purpose, fulfillment, etc. Are all those other needs not "needs," instead simply desire? Maybe what you were point at in your original post is that overindulgence (of sex in this case) is not a need, its a desire?

If by entitlement you mean becoming frustrated with a continually moving goal post, then yes, some guys can act entitled. By the same standard, some women may be entitled when it comes to who they receive attention from and who they don't. Members of both sexes continually tease the possibility for more to another while giving the least possible, in other words acting entitled. It may be more pronounced in men who actively verbalize their being upset. Women, nonetheless, do the same. Ive seen, a…

I understand what you mean, about anarchy not being a final end in and of itself. I used to feel the same way about it. I simply want to point out that the large group consensus which is at the same time maintaining and expanding the largest zone of control for one big stick, that same organism is enabling or tacitly promoting the occurrence of some period of anarchy. The problem is that anarchy could never be a temporary or even limited-use tool or whatever. The collapse so many think will lead…

Agreed. That incentive was the knowing that a person is personally responsible and willing to act and take action to better things. This sounds common and the norm but is actually very rare. Think about how Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan dealt with the like. Most people went there way of the Big Stick because a society of sociopaths, led by sociopaths, inevitably breeds an unethical and moral dilemma where we must question, “do the ends justify the mean?” For the most part, because we all agree…

No, would probably increase. The only solution would be for the State to step in and fulfill that role, enabling the tendency towards single motherhood even further. Single motherhood is not a terrible thing because of lack of money. Money could be lack with both parents. The problem with single motherhood is just that, "single" parentage. All kids are technically 50% mother and 50% father. What would happen to a population that grew up in mass with no father around, or good father figures? Most…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/19 03:02 PM

Exactly, depends on what we each individually find to be ethical or unethical. When we off-load that responsibility to the Big Stick, things like the Japanese Empire did or how Nazi Germany did, where the state provides carrot for all who adhere to the Big Stick, trouble follows. Any group that puts all of that responsibility on someone else, someone who holds the stick, then technically they will become subservient to the wielder of said stick, who will then determine what is or isn't ethical. …

We agree that the stick has some bad traits/outcomes if misapplied, i.e., totalitarianism, etc. However, things are never that simple. Proverbs 13:24. Discipline is an essential part of survival and it is half the coin that food/carrot is. Discipline was, for all of history, a largely internal and essential part of energy management and the like, I.e., restraint, patience, etc. the problem now is that too many horses have put all there impetus for attaining a healthy carrot/stick balance depende…

I like that we can communicate abstractly. Yes, the need for carrot is the driving impetus. However, without a stick, whether internal or external, the driving force is wasted in inefficient use. Discipline ensures that energy is used efficiently, and no creature could have possibly evolved in the past without both carrot (energy) and stick (discipline to get energy). Of course, every species has spent thousands of years perfecting its carrot/stick ratio. For us, we can say that too many horses …
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/19 07:14 AM
1

Agreed, but again that implies a top down approach. Wouldn’t built in sticks be less intrusive and much more rewarding in terms of facilitating in individuals a feeling of personal ownership and accountability? The problem is we want a solution but only if someone else does the heavy lifting. Individuals are unlikely to stop going for the carrot in the absence of the stick, and since less people are willing to tolerate the presence of said stick, the monopoly gets the one and only big stick.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 09:12 PM

I agree with you whole heartedly, except, no horse ever won a race, or ever properly lived, solely on only carrot, and with and ever eroding and lacing stick. The stick exist and existed to ensure growth occurs proportionately and not cancerously. As we see daily, by all intents and purpose, when monopolies are in need of controlling a mass of population of otherwise unruly individuals who probably feel the same we do, alongside what can be a range of other means, giving people aid and encouragi…

Male and generally more feminine-centered/leaning. If by stability you mean going with the flow and not ruffling any feathers, sure definitely more stable. Having a community that helps in times of needs and isn’t abused I when things are going well is, of course, good. Basic feelings don‘t require this sort of reworking to be valid. She wants to savour it, make it special and make this the start of a long (or forever) relationship. This is rationalizing/hamstering. She wants to be in the dominant position, able to dictate the flow of sex in the LTR, as opposed to being helplessly compelled to bang Chad, who btw is not under her control. Just because something is true (i.e., that X believes Y) does not mean it is rational (i.e., that Y is correct). I believe "hamstering" refers to mental gymnastics one person undergoes, either consciously or unconsciously, to justify something that makes little to no sense (i.e., "I have so little respect for Chad, I should sleep with him, ... but Billy is so great, he is going to have to wait/jump through hoops before I can give him what he, & Chad, wants."

Yes! I say this all generally because it’s impossible to know every circumstances and possible variation of these topics. I have no problem with people actively choosing who and what they want to be. That being said, sometimes it seems like this huge imbalance in the SMP is not organic. “Everything she wants that she can actually get....” Fear of death and dying alone is a huge motivator in all this. If a woman, or a man, had the option to forgo marriage and/or kids in return for eternal youth, they would go for it. I imagine few would actively choose a family/kids over youthful immortality. Women and the AF both would prefer to stay young forever and in their prime. I imagine the post-wall change from AF to BB is because growing old is inevitable and people are afraid of dying…

Human is human. As a male, it took me some time to learn the same about women. Both sexes try to down play the agency of the other and present to individuals a dating world where the prize sought after, whether Super Chad or HB10 is tracked, analyzed, hunted and then mounted on a FaceBook wall somewhere. This is why a sub like TRP is considered vile. It presents a false reality that dehumanizes.

Ok so the problem was the post came from an incel-POV, right ? If that was the reason for the removal of the post/comments, I can agree with it.

If you don't mind me asking, what was out of line? I did not get to read the reply before they were removed. I tried conveying the idea that women are capable of being celibate via rejection, i.e., human. That and that this post was largely inspired by some jaded anecdotal experience which probably doesn't require a mandate to other to not trust. Im new to this sub, and I was under the impression that the point is to mend the gap in terms of healthy LTR or whatever, not break it further, right?

I didn’t say men in the west are on fire. I said relationships, like a dumpster fire. And that is because both women and men lie to get sex. Don’t play coy and pretend one sex is so much more morally upright then the other.

I don’t discount the validity of your experience or insight, but ... your anecdotal experience does not account for the rest of the world. Please stop giving “one-size fits all” solutions to people who are probably to insecure to trust themselves and their partners already. No more lighter fluid on the fire that is relationships in the western world.

> I don't see any reason why one should value things other than just immediate pleasure. I understand the idea and I agree. Creating our own version of "heaven" is something we can dabble in but ultimately, we have little control over anything that is not our own self-discipline. Some I imagine, however, don't differentiate between creating a personal heaven that has immediate pleasures and simply a life of immediate pleasures, which is what happens to those few who never get past the glory days…

There was probably a lot more fighting and arguing in between then we are imagining now, but from a broad POV, yea, women always seeks novelty. Men do the same. A lot of the problems that arise for us in all of this is balancing our biological nature with our higher order thinking faculties. We know that fucking around all our lives will result in death with little to show for it other than a few notches on a belt somewhere, but man is it exciting and boy does it get the ladies going. On the oth…

Was thinking about this recently, I think it has to do with the natural state of affairs that is found in nature, where the AF swoops in to sow seeds and then leaves, while younger males and BB help with the raising/managing the children/women.

We know you’re stressing it because you made a post less than 48 hours after the post. Glad your date went well, really. Go talk to more girls and repeat the process. Focus on what you’re doing right in your dates, repeat and learn.

I think this has a lot to do with our present materialist mindset, where even now, despite the movements toward new age thinking and the like, a lot of it is fueled by a materialistic cycle of consumption, that really is everywhere, and addressing your issue, yes, is a huge issue for those seeking any self help. I believe Alan Watts has a lecture with a student who sought a master, who always had a lesson, never achieving enlightenment, until he realized he was only ever not enlightened because …
