Lol! I drive an older F-150, need it for work.

I will!

Yep.

I agree

Thanks. I cannot imagine trusting a woman again, but I hope this passes with time.

This was my thought process exactly.
/r/MensRights27/03/13 04:58 PM
3

Exactly. I have been through so much and I just want my freedom now.
/r/MensRights27/03/13 04:56 PM

I think I need to do this or write a letter.

I logically completely agree. My own emotions just feel bad for her. I hope her the best, but it's not going to be with me.
/r/MensRights27/03/13 04:41 PM

I see your point.

Thank you for saying this.

They say not to get a vasectomy if you are banking on it being reversed...I may want kids later, who knows if I'll change my mind 10 years down the line
/r/MensRights27/03/13 04:33 PM

Thanks man!
/r/MensRights27/03/13 04:32 PM

Exactly, and I dont want to be a part of that!
/r/MensRights27/03/13 04:32 PM

Yeah. I knew she wouldn't accept that and would've made a big scene and I just wanted to avoid it all.

This is how I feel...she was very manipulative throughout this whole experience.

Thank you.

So you don't mind that I don't wanna be with her, but you disagree with the way I did it?
/r/MensRights27/03/13 02:44 AM

Yep.
/r/MensRights27/03/13 02:34 AM

Or just use my own contraception.

It's a lot of things, but mostly her losing me if she had it.

I grew up fairly poor as well. Sometimes you catch a break and sometimes you don't. 90% of my happiness comes from 10% of my wealth, it's something to think about. If you dont have enough money to feed yourself and your family, well that's something you need to focus your entire energy on. Past that, it's not that important. Just my opinion anyway.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 09:25 PM

It's been really hard to find that balance.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 09:22 PM

Thanks.

lol. Take it from someone who has a decent income: Money isn't everything. Not even close. Thanks for the reply.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 09:17 PM
1

Umm, yeah I suppose.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 05:39 PM

Maybe that's not the best wording because you may think of the literal meaning of rape, but what I am saying is she is controlling me and inadvertently making me doing things I dont want to.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 05:38 PM
14

Thanks, this is what I plan on doing. I know people are saying I should stop having sex with her, but I think that it's part of this plan and helping the story be believable.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:59 PM
1

Thanks.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:58 PM
6

I mean I will never know, but I am going to assume it's mine in order to take care of this situation. I don't want to play russian roullette.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:58 PM
0

1) I want to keep up the facade of a relationship/future together, and I fear stopping the sex will make a red flag go up in her mind. That's the last thing I wanna do. 2) I know, that's what's scary for me. 3) I know you're right on this point, it just sucks that this is what had to happen. 4) You're right.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:56 PM
7

She's doing the surgical one so it had to be on the day they do them, can't be just any day like the pill.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:54 PM
-1

That's the plan.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:53 PM

=*( Sorry bro.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:52 PM
0

This was my reasoning but maybe I'm a dumbass.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:51 PM
-1

My worst fear too, and the nightmare became true. It's terrible. Learn from me and use condoms no matter what, even if she's "on the pill". Gahhh
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:50 PM
1

Doctor's preg. test documentation. I think that's pretty legit but other than that I don't know. I'm not sure how much more confirmation I need.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:50 PM
1

I just need her to agree with this.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:49 PM
0

Yes I have I am worried that if I do, she will think something's up and it will ruin the chances of her believing me and going through with the abortion.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:42 PM
1

No idea what this means.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:41 PM
-1

=(
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:40 PM
1

Yeah you're right. Ok well the day of her abortion would be her being 13 weeks (I believe).
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:39 PM
3

Yeah I have to agree with you. It will be IMPOSSIBLE for me to walk into the clinic and find out if she had the operation. The best I can come up with is seeing her leave the clinic and trying to deduce based on body language and physical state, since she would have just had a surgery done to her.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:38 PM
0

Tell me about it.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:36 PM
-1

I am trying to keep up this facade of us being together after the abortion. I am doing anything I can to make sure she gets it.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:36 PM
1

That's basically what I'm doing now, but the not going with her to the clinic part is what's scaring me.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:35 PM
1

Thank you.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:34 PM
0

I know, and part of me believes you are right. But with the chance of her not going through with the abortion and me being fucked, I feel like I need to go with her.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:33 PM
1

Thank you. I know it's stupid but I don't want her to feel like something's up and then ruin this abortion. She can't get double pregnant so I am doing the lesser of two evils I feel like.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 04:32 PM
9

Tell me about it....
/r/MensRights11/03/13 08:04 AM
6

What do you mean exactly?
/r/MensRights11/03/13 08:04 AM
8

3 weeks.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 08:03 AM
13

Doctor's pregnancy test documentation.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 08:03 AM
5

We are on good terms right now so I'm hoping she will want me to go with her in the end.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 08:02 AM
13

I dont want her to think something is up. The abortion is #1 priority, so if I gotta keep this up, it's something I have to do.
/r/MensRights11/03/13 08:02 AM
3

Will do.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 10:23 PM

Thank you for the perspective and your response.

I am in the US. In California
/r/MensRights18/02/13 07:25 AM

Might just have to do that.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 07:24 AM

;(
/r/MensRights18/02/13 07:24 AM
1

Thanks for the response. I am not religious and don't see anything wrong with abortion, so it's still an option for me. I'm sorry if that disappoints you. She's still so early in the pregnancy that IMO it's not a horrible act.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 07:23 AM
2

I can't and won't drug her, that's not in my nature. I appreciate the response though.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 07:22 AM

Fuck, a 1/3 is ridiculous. Thanks for sharing.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 07:17 AM

/r/MensRights18/02/13 07:16 AM

Definitely wont be doing this, thanks.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 07:16 AM

Will do.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 07:15 AM

I'll keep this in mind when I speak to my lawyer.

I need to find out if they have shared custody in large time durations, say 3 months with me, 3 months with her...the nature of my work will make it tough to hand over the kid every week...
/r/MensRights18/02/13 06:16 AM
1

Thanks a lot for this, I appreciate it. After reading this response and several others in this thread, I've realized I need to take care of the kid no matter what. It hadn't hit me yet that if she does keep the kid, it's still an innocent bystander in all of this. I hadn't even thought that far yet.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 06:12 AM
1

Thank you. No matter what I will update you guys with what happens. I appreciate all of the responses, I havent talked to anyone I know yet.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 06:10 AM
1

Yeah, but who knows if there was residual semen from the previous time. I just trusted the pill (and her) and thought I would be "extra safe" but its not enough by itself.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 06:09 AM
1

I appreciate it, but for now I won't be moving out of the US.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 06:08 AM
2

I'm trying my best man. I won't do anything illegal, but can't say the thought hasn't crossed my mind.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 06:06 AM
1

I will bring this up when I speak with my lawyer. Thanks for doing this research. I don't mind taking care of the kid, but yeah like you said, I would like it to be on my own terms and custody.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 06:05 AM

So much for liking somebody based on their personality and not their job.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 09:14 PM

Yep =(
/r/MensRights17/02/13 09:12 PM

It's definitely a true story, but I agree with you anyway.

Lots of ways of making money without going to Harvard, sorry to burst your ignorant bubble.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 09:07 PM
1

Thanks a lot for this post! I'm sorry you had to go through all of that. This is gonna be a scary year for me.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 09:06 PM
3

Sorry for your story. Its tough to say, I have only been dating her for a year, but after this episode I dont see myself being with her forever.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 07:21 AM

Yes it did at the time. Now its about 6 weeks.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 07:20 AM

Thank you for this response.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 07:19 AM

Not a white guy =(
/r/MensRights17/02/13 07:04 AM
4

Fuck.....that would be epic. It is gonna take a lot of balls and effort to do that....
/r/MensRights17/02/13 07:02 AM
2

That's sorta what I have been doing. I keep cycling between wanting to be there and doing the above.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 07:02 AM
10

I can't see that working
/r/MensRights17/02/13 07:01 AM
2

Jeez, I dont know how I feel about that.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 07:00 AM
2

I fuckin wish
/r/MensRights17/02/13 06:56 AM
1

I like this idea the most but I am afraid of pushing myself too far away from her and not being able to influence her at all after that point.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 05:22 AM
4

Thanks. I do agree that abortion isnt an easy, obvious solution. I am trying to keep that in mind. It's hard for me to say I will be there for the child definitely. I don't know what I will do.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 05:10 AM
25

Will do.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 05:09 AM
6

Evil lol.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 05:08 AM
92

She said that when I insinuated that I would leave, since I dont wanna be a dad.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 05:04 AM
13

Really? I should have just anticipated this? I met her and liked her and she has/had aspirations of going to med school. I dont think I messed up in this regard.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 05:04 AM
2

I think it's illegal to record someone without their consent in my state. So it would probably not help. I could try this though.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 04:31 AM
20

Definitely true. Thanks!
/r/MensRights17/02/13 04:30 AM
1

No I dont.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 04:13 AM
3

She would have to agree with that and I am not sure if I see that happening
/r/MensRights17/02/13 04:12 AM
41

Why not? If she deceived me, I should be able to deceive her.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 02:28 AM
36

Yes it was. But no court in the US would even care.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 02:27 AM
15

No, maybe if things were going well and this didnt happen, I would be with her for the long run and we'd have kids.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:44 AM
10

This is true, but for now I am going to assume it is so that I can take care of the situation. If I just forget about it, it might blow up in my face.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:41 AM
18

Thanks for this well thought out response. I am continuing to talk to her and going to talk to a lawyer this week. I keep telling her how a baby would ruin my life and hopefully, hopefully it sinks in.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:39 AM
7

Ah man I could never do that.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:38 AM
5

Like I said in another post, I'm a rather young guy and I haven't had any legal trouble before. But yes youre right, I am going to do this this week.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:37 AM
1

Does a court of law take that into account? I'm sure they'd just make me pay CS.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:37 AM
1

She showed me the hospital pregnancy test. Besides that, I really have no idea. The document looked official and was signed and stamped by the hospital.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:36 AM
7

Thanks for these links. Reading your post made me want to cry - I cant believe I have to resort to this kind of stuff if she has the kid.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:36 AM
9

Would this really work?
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:35 AM
2

I have heard this before too, but not 100% sure. Will find out when I talk to a lawyer this week.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:34 AM
2

Thank you for this. I'm gonna try my best.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:34 AM
77

I will make an appointment with a lawyer this week, thank you. I'm still a fairly young guy so I wasn't sure what's the best next step, but it seems legal help is.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:30 AM
7

My biggest fear is that she will listen to them even if its not the best for either of us.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:30 AM
31

God, I'm so disappointed in myself that this is actually one of my viable options.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:18 AM
150

Yep. I'm gonna do my best in this regard.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 01:15 AM
14

I trusted her and it blew up in my face.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 12:08 AM
13

The thing is, I am young and we have only been dating for a year. Maybe I would have kids with her in 5 years, after marriage and after we are both secure and we planned it. But not now.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 12:08 AM
9

Exactly. I have nothing to gain from this. This is a serious matter and I am just looking to talk to someone about it and get advice.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 12:06 AM
4

This is great to know. Thank you.
/r/MensRights17/02/13 12:05 AM
20

Can she write my name on the birth certificate without me being there to sign it?
/r/MensRights16/02/13 10:39 PM
14

Hmm...Yeah, I'm not sure what to do. Part of me wants to take the kid away from her because like I said she's not fit to be a mom. Another part of me wants to just run away from it all and only be liable if it actually is my kid. If that makes sense....
/r/MensRights16/02/13 10:38 PM
6

Why would I troll? Just a throwaway for advice.
/r/MensRights16/02/13 10:33 PM
34

When does a paternity test matter? If she pursues child support? Otherwise, if she wants to keep it and leave me alone, I'd rather not test and let her keep it. I dont want to marry or be with this woman after this ordeal.
/r/MensRights16/02/13 10:29 PM
111

Yeah, you're right.
/r/MensRights16/02/13 10:28 PM
9

So there is no circumstance where I can get custody?
/r/MensRights16/02/13 10:28 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
