It's so hard man. Someone in another thread mentioned that, "A man will sacrifice his own happiness for his family, while a woman will sacrifice her family for her own happiness" Mine even said everyone loses in this situation... So why do it?!?

Not sure I understand the external order concept.

I have accepted that I am just paperwork to her.

It just doesn't make sense to me that they are gone so quickly.

Thanks, the problem is that she has control issues, so is really trying to dictate when and how communication is done. I really think this app is dumb, because we should just be able to talk... Don't want to go through courts, want 50/50, everything split, but also, I don't want this. I want our family. She wanted it and is now upset that my attorney filed for divorce instead of her wanting a legal separation and to move out of state.

Yes, I am confident the child is mine.

I have looked into it. I did not grow up in a good home. Pretty sure I am the avoidant attachment. She may be disorganized.

Married for eight, dated for three years before marriage.

Thank you, that is very helpful. Anything else you have to say I am all ears.

Feeling like that too. It really hurts to split a family up for your own individual happiness.

How so?

Yes, I actually have started advocating for myself. Starting to believe there are control issues here.

Because it is used as emotional leverage to try and control the outcome of a situation, unless of course, she files like she currently has.

She also wants me to fix stuff around the house or at least pay for half of the repairs. Am I crazy in thinking this is inappropriate?

Yes, I do understand that.

Please tell me more about your translation of what she said, I am very interested.

This isn't a threat, lawyers are already working on each side. I am just trying to understand the situation. It is my hope that it is something that can be cured. I suppose I am hoping to hear that it just has to deal with pregnancy hormones, but it has gone pretty far. Yes, divorce was threatened in the past and she was notified that that behavior is never okay, yet still continued with it. Also feel like she never took therapy seriously.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
