Those "super powers" probably mostly apply to people that have never had to really exercise their discipline in life. It snowballs into having more willpower to do more productive activities They might as well have started studying a language or lifting weights and see similar results And for some, porn watching can be a really time-consuming activity that may take a lot of their free time away from doing more skill-based and self-improving hobbies

It's easier to meet people in college because many have moved from their home and old friends, and are therefore in need of new friends/relationships. Also there's more alcohol in college, that helps.
