Makes sense. Do you think I should delete this post?

The person who wrote it seems to genuinely believe it though. They have written a bunch of other similar stuff. I do think that what you wrote should be highlighted. If I had the option I would have stickied your comment. I think you should request the mods to pin your comment so that people don’t overestimate how bad things are.

This is a good article, for anyone interested in learning more about this https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2016/11/the-understudied-female-sexual-predator/503492/ Two years ago, Lara Stemple, the director of UCLA’s Health and Human Rights Law Project, came upon a statistic that surprised her: In incidents of sexual violence reported to the National Crime Victimization Survey, 38 percent of victims were men––a figure much higher than in prior surveys. Intrigued, she began to investigat…

https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/711705 Indeed, whereas earlier studies reported that parents of CAH girls did not explicitly encourage their daughters to choose male-typical toys, a larger and more recent study found that such parents did indeed encourage less feminine and more masculine toy choices, albeit the parents’ reactions appear to be in response to their daughters’ initial preferences (Wong et al. 2013). Such findings, along with the observation that girls with CAH are act…

Woman: hits a man. This person: that’s alright as she is “marginalised” and doesn’t owe basic respect (that all people should expect from other people) to him

Someone had sent me this article a few days ago. I would recommend that everyone should read this - https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2016/11/the-understudied-female-sexual-predator/503492/

The archive link is not getting posted. Apparently links cannot be easily posted here. If anyone wants to read the archived post, please DM me. (The message containing it was “shadow deleted” ,just realised that)

Archive link - https://archive.is/2022.10.13-124158/https:// w w w .reddit.com/r/ Two X Chromosomes/comments/y278ml/15f_older_man_approached_me_in_the_park_and_tried/ (Sorry for giving the link like this. Posting links, that contain www, is not allowed here apparently. Just delete the spaces and paste the link in your browser) I personally think what the OP did was fully justified. She felt afraid and even if the man didn’t have any bad intentions, it’s not like she assaulted him with the pepper…

I think it is the second one (blocking their exit). I get that women were socialised to be very demure, back then, but telling them to hit men still isn’t right. Though you are right that it could just be telling them to tap on the shoulder. Deleting this then.

I posted it because of the “hit him again” part. Is it 1940s slang for something else (and doesn’t literally ask them to hit the person)? If so I would delete the post.

Posted this here as these kind of double standards seem to be common among a lot of couples, based on what I’ve seen.

The funny thing is that it isn’t even an agreed upon fact that men commit more domestic violence. It’s true that men do most of the really severe kinds of DV (like murdering their partner) but there isn’t a consensus on whether men are more likely to abuse their partner. There have been more than 200 papers that show that an equal percentage of women are abusive (Tbf there are some criticisms of the methodologies* of these papers (search CTS), though a lot of it is done by feminist ideologues an…

But isn’t most meat already supplied by big companies https://www.reuters.com/business/how-four-big-companies-control-us-beef-industry-2021-06-17/ (Personally doubt that supplements can completely replace the benefits of meat though)

I mean street harassment is a big problem , that disproportionately affects women, and should be solved but statistically a woman is way more likely to raped by someone she already knows and also most female murder victims are killed by family members. I suspect these people already know these facts but still say stuff like this.

Honestly I think a lot of feminists are only against TERFs as trans people are a small minority. So even if they don’t like trans people, they see their small numbers and think that it is not a hill they want die on. This is at least what I feel is the case while reading some of the stuff on ask feminist, two x etc

At least they want to change for the better, that’s more than I can so for most people, who have this kind of mentality.

Has anyone tried to get help to that boy? Edit- https://www.mamamia.com.au/clementine-ford-welcomes-baby/ she seems to have loved him when he was a baby at least. Less alarmed about her having a boy now but given her history I think there should be some kind of regular inspections (monthly or every 2-3 months) to see if she is treating him properly (maybe I’m being dramatic but she has literally said that she wants “all men to die” publicly once)
/r/EverydayMisandry19/09/22 07:37 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
