I'm going to advise checking how much dietary Zinc you currently intake before jumping right on the supplements. I found out I was going a fair bit over the daily dosage for quite some time taking ZMA. Zinc isn't one of those grey area ones either, generally you don't wanna take too much.

Starting weight for what? It varies. Spend a week or so trying out all the compound lifts e.g. Bench Press, Squats, Deadlift, Military Press etc. Start off using only the bar with your main focus being on your form - this takes time and it isn't worth going higher in weight until you aren't going to injure yourself. A personal trainer is probably a good idea for a short while. Once you can do only the bar for 4-6 reps, then add a little more weight on each side and repeat the process ad infinitu…
