Agreed. The other day I've seen a comment thread with someone arguing why exactly men have it worse, and I felt like... what's the point? It literally does nothing to solve any of the issues, it's not even venting anymore, it's just self pity. One has to recognize there are issues and then address them to one's ability, not dismiss everything else because something 'is worse'. And yea, while this sub's existsance is important, I think it's also important to take occasional breaks from it. It's t…

Mandatory military service and draft during a war time are different things though. Mandatory military service means that during the times of peace the person will have to serve in the military for a certain period of time which will usually involve training. If it's already a thing for men, and the training program is the same for both sexes, then I think it's only fair if women had to serve, too. Although I'd still much rather have conscription abolished entirely

Okay, you are right that they are a minority. I lived in Russia for 13 years and can confirm that most people there aren't keen on western culture. Though I still think that we shouldn't dismiss decent people entirely, even if they're a minority. I don't know what the best thing to do is, but I still feel bad for my friends who can get conscripted any day.

I do give a flying fuck, because I have many good friends there who don't support the war. Saying that men in Russia don't deserve compassion because "some men support the war, therefore all men in Russia are responsible" is the same as saying that false rape accusations don't matter because "some accusations are just, so all accused, falsely or not, are responsible"

I'm so sorry, man. This shit is unreal. It's like the entire society is stacked against you. I don't know what you're going through, but I sincerely hope it gets better for you. You deserve a better life, we all do.

Yeah, and it's sad how people just dismiss it with all the "boo, concern troll", like you're not allowed to be critical or else your opinion doesn't matter. Wait, that's exactly how most feminists behave
/r/MensRights18/08/22 07:11 PM
2

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for this. I'm sure there are people who abandon feminism when they learn of the harm it does, every once in a while you see them post their stories here. Then there are people that have already been lost because they've been indoctrinated too far. The former is one of the reasons to "play fair", so that there's a higher chance that a concerned person who previously associated with feminism but isn't sure anymore becomes interested in learning more about this …

Oh, of course people can voice their opinions. But it's not wrong to call them out either if you think their behavior is harmful. Because if it's not called out it becomes the norm. Many call MensRights a hateful group. I don't think it is, but it gotta be kept "clean" if we want people to listen to us.
/r/MensRights18/08/22 06:27 PM
1

>never harmed the feminist movement In the eyes of reasonable people, it very much has. That's why the opposition exists, because we see that something ain't right and we call it out. It's not fair that we have to play fair while the other side gets away with all sorts of bullshit, but acting alike will only lead to us losing more credibility.

I agree with these points, it's been bothering me as well. The word "frequent" is the key here. I think some people just frequent this sub too often, and when one primarily sees negative news/posts about women it's only natural they'll begin to hate them, because it creates a false impression that women only do bad things. Discussing issues is important, but it's also important to keep a cool head, or at least try to.

It's understandable. It may feel like you're trapped in this situation, but things do get better with time as you gain more independence and build your own social circle. Just always keep in mind that you're not responsible for fixing people, you don't have to maintain relationship/friendship with people that don't value you, respect needs to be mutual. At the very least, you'll (hopefully unless this sub gets banned) always have this community where a lot of people had or are experiencing simil…

I'm sorry you're going through this. It's a horrible situation to be in, especially considering that parents are supposed to be there for their children. I'm sure there are ways to find happiness though, all things considered. Aside from what others have suggested, such as cutting ties, perhaps you could look into finding more hobbies? Something that doesn't require engaging with people which could lead to unpleasant interactions, like crafting/art. Because arguing with such people will never le…

Simple case. Just link her this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/history/comments/97258p/what_are_some_famous_wars_started_by_women/ Then show her a few vids of Russian soldiers making calls and discussing the war with their wives. I don't know why you're getting downvoted, because there's nothing wrong with your point. A good majority of my friends at the university see getting laid as the primary benefit of relationship with women. Some of the largest content creators of manosphere constantly talk about how big of a deal sex is, how it's not fair when a man who provides everything doesn't get sex in return. If that's not expecting sex from women then I don't know what is.

Going a little into politics here, but you know, feminism feels a lot like what Russia is doing rn. Firstly there are these crazy people that want total control over population, but present it as "liberating people". Opinions that are against this narrative are desperately silenced. When some men quit the society (sanctions) they go "we don't need em anyways, it's men who are to blame". Then there's the "those are not real feminists" type who say they are pro equality for both sexes and don't su…

I have to disagree. It does show that the man in question is likely not valuable in the eyes of the woman in question, but! People value different things, so not being valuable to women is just that - not being valuable to women. It doesn't mean one can't live happily without them. It's all about life priorities. One should distance themselves from people who can't accept others having different goals in life. It's like having a guitarist walk around laughing at people who can't play guitar.

I could agree if we were talking world war or another event that brings humanity on the brink of extinction, but it's not the case here, now is it. Ukrainian genes are all over the world, too, so those aren't disappearing either even if the entire population of Ukraine was exterminated, the chances of which are pretty much nonexistent. Plus genes are carried by both men and women, so Ukraine could be repopulated by women from other countries as well (logically men would search for a partner abro…

I think that people should be given a choice regardless of their gender. I can't see sending men that don't want to fight into combat the right thing to do. As some people point out, there are other things people can do for the country. For example in my hometown volunteers make camo nets and cook food. I do agree that drafting women is not the solution. I think the solution would be to either let men leave if they choose to, or prohibit women from leaving. Women could help out a lot by staying …

Here's how I see it. People have different experiences. Some people like their country, some don't. Say, people who live in poverty and struggle to find a job, or people that most of their lives were poorly treated by those around them. What reason do they have to fight for the country they live in? We already see many motivated people in Ukraine signing up. There are even people coming from other countries. But the fact that some people want to fight doesn't mean there can't be people who don't…

Not sure about their own side. Even marauders here are being taped to lamp posts for police to deal with them later. Knowing Ukrainian mentality, I can't imagine something like this happening without it making a huge headline. From the enemy side, yes, I agree with that. What's worse, people are making fun of men that want to leave. And these same people will be the first to scream at anyone who judges women that flee, like the massive hypocrites they are. In the official telegram channel they made a post today showing how they caught a bus with men "illegally" trying to cross the border out of the country. In the video they were handing these men a flower, clearly making a point of how "only women would try to leave so these aren't real men"

It's one thing to call to arms and another to force to fight. I could semi-agree if it was "its citizens" as you put it, but what we see is "its men while women can flee"

My take on the arguments for draft that people bring up: You shouldn't necessarily fight and can help in other ways like cooking and manufacturing stuff. A: If it's that safe, why not force women to do it, too? There shouldn't be a problem if it's not fighting, right? Someone has to look after children. A: It's not medieval times, men can look after children, too. Moreover, women are likely to be targeted by people with malicious intent, which makes it even more reasonable to let men look after …

That is correct, both onlyfans women and the rest of population. It's one way to win the war, to force people into overthrowing the dictator. Of course people will suffer from sanctions, but that's a necessary evil in my eyes

Frankly, I think that a better approach is to just not give them attention. Can agree. I personally don't see a problem in leaving eye-candies for different audiences in the media, including sexualization of both men and women. I don't remember where I've read this argumentation exactly, but I remember someone saying that excessive sexualization is bad, but so is the lack of it. As long as sexualization is balanced there's nothing wrong with it.

3d modeling sounds like a perfect option! It can lead you to many paths and help you meet many other interesting people. I myself had found inner peace in crafting miniatures and studying the culture of feudal Japan, and so far exploring these two "mediums" if you will had opened a whole new world to me. I hope you can find the same fulfillment in 3d modeling. As for feeling like there's your fault to losing trust as well, I'd say that there isn't much reason in pondering this. Even if there is …

You shouldn't feel obliged to trust people, and you most certainly shouldn't feel sorry for ranting. Keeping this inside is not very healthy, and that's one of the reasons this sub exists, to vent and share stories with each other. It's sad that it has come to this for you and I know from my own experience how lonely it can feel at times, but I'm sure there are reasons for why you lost your trust, so you don't need to feel ashamed of it. It's not your fault. All I can say really is do your best …

Double on the positive side thing. If it wasn't for gaming I would never have gotten into 3d modeling and digital art. Overall I'd likely be a very boring person if it wasn't for all the cool things games introduced me to, includijg philosophical concepts. Hell, I would probably never had learned English in the first place since it isn't my first language xD

Realistically speaking, everything that makes us feel good better than it makes us feel bad is addictive. Riding a bike can be considered addictive if it's fun since you'll want to do it again. Now, why men are more involved in gaming? I don't have a solid opinion on this one. It could do with the fact that in the early days of gaming it was more popular among men, and so it developed quicker in our circles. Nowadays, gaming is rather popular among women as well. Another explanation for this cou…

Gaming is pretty much like any other hobby, with the only exception that it's a lot more addicting than the rest. I don't think there's a problem with gaming as it is. The problem lies in the inability of some people to moderate their exposure to games which leads to development of unhealthy and even harmful habits. This inability originates either from the lack of awareness of how games can affect one's habits, or from high amounts of stress where gaming plays a role of an escape from it, which…

Feminism: "If men have issues they should deal with them themselves, too" MensRights sub where men vent and try to help each other: exists Feminism: "They just hate women! That sub needs to be shut down!" I still remember that headline about feminists shutting down a men's suicide awareness event. Dontcha tell me it was men's fault as well. Disgusting.

To be fair, doesn't matter what other men think of where you're at with your bodycount. I have, like, a dozen of hobbies each of which alone is more worthwhile and fulfilling than sex. One can try to shame me that I don't pursue women, but all it does really is it shows that we value different things in life. If someone's advances make you feel uncomfortable then do call it out, set the boundaries. If they won't listen then get up and leave. It's not worth arguing over (not like you can change t…

I love the comments under that tweet. There was no way they'd cancel the draft if only men were complaining. Now women will start complaining about the draft, too, which I can very much see causing them to cancel it. It's what should've been done all along, just let women do the job for us, save the effort

Well, yeah, the woman that got hit didn't play a woman card anywhere, not in what the video shows us at least. She did push him as she approached him and started yelling, but I still don't think it was anywhere near enough to justify that smack in the face, especially considering how buff that guy looks. Would've been a different situation if she hit him first, but that didn't happen. A wise person would try to deescalate the situation, but this guy went in the exact opposite direction, further …

It really did lmao. I love how instead of, I guess from what they expected, women posting about how horrible men are and how life would be better without them, instead there are countless tweets where people talk about great men and their achievements.

It's mostly my irl environment rather than the internet. I've always been introverted and invested most of my free time into hobbies and learning stuff. And currently, in the area I live in, there are even less people and places to spend time than there used to be. Also, I wouldn't call myself an incel as by definition it implies desire for romantical relationship which I frankly don't have. Not anymore, at least.

Honestly, seeing all these messed up stories about false accusations, seeing feminists demand equal rights yet playing pussy card when it's useful made me not want to have any business with women at all. I'm perfectly fine being alone. If it's necessary, like having to cooperate with women on work, then sure, no problem, I will, but I don't think I'll ever have as much trust towards them as I do towards my male friends. Just don't let them get close to you and you'll never run into most of these…

Oh, for some reason I thought you were talking about both sexes being drafted in equal amounts. My bad then. In the case I described, hell no, that would be horrible, but if you're simply talking about the right then sure, why not. If they want to then by all means let them. As for construction works, I think the same logic still applies. For any hiring company it would be more beneficial to hire a man instead of a woman, hence probably why we don't see many female construction workers. Also, it…

Ideally, there shouldn't be a draft, but if we consider the case of it being present then I think army is better off without mandatory draft of women. Too lazy to search for the source (tho I can link it if anyone insists), but it was proven that mixed forces are a lot less efficient than men-only groups. Having women be drafted would introduce an additional level of complexity.

I wonder if there ever was an article like that, but talking about how some areas are dominated by women and that it is a problem. Of course not, because women obviously have it worse so let's forget about men completely and focus entirely on solving women's problems that most often than not aren't even real. Modern feminism has pretty much turned into a 'science field' where people do their best to research the most effective ways of playing the victim card and benefitting from it. But honestly…

Are we talking about assumptions or actual definition? Because its definition, at least according to Wikipedia and Google, is as following: "Feminism is a range of social movements, political movements, and ideologies that aim to define and establish the political, economic, personal, and social equality of the sexes. " I personally see nothing wrong with this definition. The fact that some people, who refer to themselves as feminists, state that women can only be oppressed and men can only be t…

Right, 'desperately trying to shut down', as if all feminists thought the same thing. Guess that'd be more accurate to say radical feminists, since there's nothing inherently wrong with feminism as a concept, it's just that some people mess it up and unfairly exploit it.

Big data is mostly used to improve ads and create unbiased statistics on different topics, which is useful for researches and scientists, since regular surveys are often inaccurate due to different factors like social pressure and stuff and when we use our phones we behave as naturally as possible, which results in accurate data. I personally don't mind my data being used as long as this doesn't harm me or at very least provides more benefit to society

Not that I google men's rights movements every day... For everything else I do google works the best and I see no reason in 'extracting' it, not does it feel hateful to me, so I'll just keep using it. Even if some people stopped using it do you think Google would give shit? Why would they even relate the drop in user activity to misleading MRA articles?
/r/MensRights18/12/20 07:26 PM

Naaah man, this is not the kind of image I'd wish this movement to have, and I think plenty of people would agree, too. Don't be like some of those feminists who support everything that goes along their vision of them being a victim without even trying to analyze it. Right now, you're basically asking us to trust you without checking the case. Just like with women accusing men of rape they may or may not have committed. Would you like all these men, regardless of them being guilty or not, to be …
