Thank you for relating! I do need to get back on focusing more on myself. It’s hard with young kids but it really will help. Also, prioritizing a date night even just once a month. He gets a lot of social time through work and I get none which starts making me feel resentful.

I get this and I agree with you, I think there’s a middle ground though. I’m not looking for cherish mode. I just don’t like feeling like he’s my #1 and work is his #1. If only there was a way to be commited to work and the social gatherings that come with work while also making me feel like our relationship is still his #1.

He agrees that he should do it but we’ve had this problem many times he says he forgets, he’s not on his phone it’s put away and he’s conversing with people not paying attn to the time etc.

We never go on date nights, ever, because we have 2 kids under 2, no family around to help, and we just never get around to planning hiring a babysitter etc. I think that’s a big part of the problem I feel like I’m being neglected or put last but really I think the romantic side of our relationship is being neglected. I agree with the texting. I told him I started worrying he’d been in an accident or something and he understood and apologized.

That’s great for you! I understand my husbands working to provide for me and I appreciate that very much. And I make that known to him. I also sacrifice and provide for our family just as much. I guess the point of my post was how to handle the feeling of sadness that I come second to work… and on a deeper level than just shut up and accept it.

Idk how you do it! Yes I was thinking a date night or just time connecting would probably help. We have no family or help around so it’s hard to find the time but it’s necessary.

So this is different from other answers but I have a little boy and an pregnant with boy #2 which makes me a little sad because I wanted a daughter to teach so many things to! One thing I’ve learned as an adult and wanted to pass on to my daughter was all about our cycle. How each phase, follicular/ovulation/luteal/menstration affects our lives, that having a cycle is feminine and powerful it’s not gross, it’s not just an inconvenient bleed every month, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. It’s beauti…

It’s too much “doing” on your part, which is not bf’s fault. When we are “doing” we are in masculine which is necessary at times but try to prioritize receiving, being, softening, etc. Focus on your self care and you will naturally feel less bitter towards bf. Focus on what he DOES do and not what he doesn’t do. What you focus on expands.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Men are a lot of talk with their friends and certainly do not always act on the things they say. It’s stupid because we as women might talk about another guy and say “he’s hot, he has a nice body,” etc., we would never plan a damn vacation and talk about going to pursue these men bc they’re hot. I totally understand why you snooped and how you’re feeling about it after because I have done exactly the same. I think you should turn this opportunity into a chance…

Oof my response is going to be different than these other ones. You sound like a smart woman so I trust that he is not playing you, using you, etc. or you would know. It seems like your connection and love for him is special and great in many ways! Focus on those. I have gotten the ick with my husband twice over the last 8 years and each time I got out of it by focusing on what he does do, what is good about him, and accepting that he is human and not perfect. Your boyfriend was out of line aski…

Oh no.. those are not red flags. Men are MUCH simpler (if he is truly red pill) than we think. Go on r/AskMen and see what they think red flags are (lying, causing drama, social media obsessed, etc). Also, what helps. You need to peel your energy off this man and live YOUR best life. Overthinking is not in your feminine energy. Find ways to stay in your feminine energy (self care, receiving, etc) and you will be much more at peace with your situation.

You’re overthinking. Men don’t care as much about how well decorated your apartment is or that you wear expensive lululemon, etc. Be warm, vulnerable, respectful. That’s most likely what he truly wants and cares about. I understand not feeling good enough, I felt the same way when I met my husband. I was young and serving in a bar and I knew he previous girlfriend was well educated with a high paying job. Well… like I said the man is now my husband and I stay home taking care of our house and ba…

Wow, thank you so much. This is very helpful and definitely resonated with me. I like the idea of pink and blue jobs and I do think my husband does not get it and needs me to tell him exactly what I need from him. When he came home he missed baby and wanted to wake up and feed him first bottle (I pump bc he likes to be able to feed him) and I said absolutely not. He was way too drunk to care for the baby so I took the entire night. In the morning he was very sorry and realized his wrong doing an…

I do love to cook and a typical day involves him coming from work and taking over baby duty while I cook dinner. But our baby is 8 weeks old and there have been 4-5 times now that I’ve had baby all day and all night because he’s been out late at work functions like happy hours, dinners, the Christmas party, and always ending up drunk at the end of these functions. This makes me feel resentful and super upset at the end of a long day caring for my newborn with no help. We talked it out this morni…

Thanks for this. I’m definitely going to implement family outings and telling him I need some time in the day to at least shower and recharge. My baby will only contact nap during the day, and while it’s sweet I’m hoping soon he will nap in the crib and that will give me a few hours of free time too.

Yes to your last point he says it’s important he’s at these dinners, happy hours, etc socializing with higher ups and that our futures depend on it. That’s really hard to see past when it just looks like partying with the guys to me, but I do get it. It’s just sooo hard after a long/day night with the baby and to know he’s just enjoying himself and hasn’t even been with the baby since yesterday. You’re right though, this stage is short and will pass soon.

He should be happy that you were enjoying yourself. If you laughing annoyed him that’s a big problem. Maybe his sisters influence is rubbing off on him, I agree with the other comment that you should try to keep her out of your guys plans unless absolutely necessary.

Have you tried to take a step back... peel your energy off of him and stop noticing every little thing he does? Live your life and create some space. Then, try and focus on positives what does he do that you like? There has to be something. If there isn’t then I would just leave the relationship it’s only been 7 months. Does he come home after work? Does he make coffee in the morning? Does he lock the doors before bed? Is he nice to your family? What you focus on expands so if you’re focusing on…

He doesn’t care because men are givers (doers) and women are receivers. Going out of your way to do things is actually masculine energy. I used bend over backwards for my husband (when we first started dating) and realized it wasn’t really doing me any favors. I’ll give him a massage after work, cook food he likes, wash and put his clothes away. Other than that I don’t do much else, my husband is always the one doing little gestures for me and I looove it!

Oh man, I feel for you!! Adderall is life changing. I’d say find a doctor who is supportive of it. Even when I changed psychologists I just told him adderall works for me, he said great so we’ll keep you on that. I’m in the US, not sure where you’re at. My insurance also doesn’t cover adderall but with Good RX I got it down to like $48 a script. A lot of days I could cut them in half and just stock pile them.

I too have ADHD and have struggled similarly to you. Adderall worked really well for me but now that I’m pregnant and not taking it I’m finding some days very difficult. Remember your thoughts help to motivate your actions and moods. So if you think “I’m lazy disorganized can’t stay on task” etc you’ll very likely fall in that trap. If you tell yourself it will feel so good to accomplish this, I’ll feel so proud to practice my homemaking skills for my future husband, etc. you’ll be more likely t…

If you lost 3 jobs in one year would you want your husband making you feel even worse about that? I’m sure the guy knows what that looks like (he’s a failure) and he doesn’t need his wife reminding him of that (and posting it all over Reddit). You have some things to learn (only if you want to). I notice you said you’re new to this community, it shows. I’m not being rude, I have been where you are, there is a lot of love and light if you dive in to red pill woman material.

Read Laura Doyle books. What you focus on expands. You’re noticing all the things your husband doesn’t do. It’s hard, but if you can switch your focus to what he does do, like afford you and your child the privileged life you have, the love starts to come back.

I believe it to be a myth or maybe a limiting belief that sex is better for men than women. We are all human beings who enjoy orgasms. Society has made it seem that sex is for men but biologically speaking - we have a clitoris and it’s sole function is for pleasure, explain that! =D

I would love to guide him and show him what I like and him NOT be awkward about it. That always ruins it. I feel like if I asked him to show me what he likes he’d just be like deep male voice ughh idk I like what you do I guess.

Some of this advice is cringey, to say the least lol. If you love her, don’t go have sex with a “slim attractive” woman. This will hurt her and most likely your 5-10mins of sex is not worth hurting a person you care about. Is she red pilled? I gained 10lbs at one point which was a lot for my small frame and I felt terrible and not confident (even tho I was like 125) which negatively affected my relationship. I lost that and more to make myself happier and more confident in bed, which in turn mad…

Sorry, what is your biggest fear? This post was to get something off my chest that I felt I couldn’t bring to my husband at the time. I could make a separate post on how amazing he is if that would make you feel better? This morning the house was cold, we live in FL so that’s a rare event. He put my warm slippers next to my side of the bed and my cozy robe for when I woke up. He makes me coffee every morning. He would literally do anything to make me happy. He works hard and is the main bread wi…

Yes he never finishes when I’m on top, so must be something to that. I thought having sex that morning would make for longer sex in the evening, but no. Also, knowing that he gave me a 1 min quickie in the morning... I thought he’d be a lot more idk, concerned, about making it longer and better for me the second time.
/r/RedPillWomen18/11/20 03:41 PM

I’m not debating this but just seriously asking, why is porn so detrimental? I always thought it was just human, most men watch it, etc. is it really that bad? I mean, if it was an addiction and he was watching for hours a day of course I would see the issue. I’m assuming (could be wrong, but just from knowing my husband) I would guess he watches a few times a week, probably in the morning before I wake up, whatever video he sees on pornhub that looks good enough, gets off in 2 mins, and goes on…

My husband has always had a low libido and told me it’s been a problem in every relationship he’s had. I made the mistake once of telling him maybe he needs a testosterone supplement. Let’s be honest, what guy wants to hear his girl tell him he needs more testosterone.
/r/RedPillWomen18/11/20 03:06 PM
2

I could easily stop watching it! I guess I’m afraid to ask him 1. How often he watches it (I don’t want him to feel judged) and 2. If he is watching it often, to stop. Isn’t that controlling or nagging? I am new to Red pill life style (about 1 year in) and I feel like I get confused on what I should STFU on and shouldn’t.
/r/RedPillWomen18/11/20 03:03 PM

No he’s not, he has in the past, but now just smokes weed in the evenings.
/r/RedPillWomen18/11/20 03:01 PM

Oh no, you’re probably right. I’m afraid if I let him know it’s a big issue it will hurt his ego and he’ll get a mental block about it again.
/r/RedPillWomen18/11/20 03:01 PM
1

No I’m not telling him what I want in explicit terms. He’s kind of awkward so the few times I have talked dirty, I can tell he’s uncomfortable. Maybe I should try again? I think I am submissive. I could definitely do better, I’ll say that.
/r/RedPillWomen18/11/20 01:15 PM

Your advice is great, thank you! Sending you lots of love. I am going to try incorporating some “entry level” kinks, wish me luck!
/r/RedPillWomen18/11/20 01:14 PM

Thank you for replying <3 I give lots of BJs and my husband says hands down best bjs he’s ever received. This may sound weird but I’m not trying to be any better or hotter in bed as I think he can barely contain himself as is. I could definitely take the lead and incorporate toys on my own, I am not a victim here and could do more for myself rather than expect him to fix it.
/r/RedPillWomen18/11/20 01:12 PM
3

I think I do need to incorporate toys... I don’t have ANY not even a vibrator. I’ve never been super in to that (but also have never tried) and my husband hasn’t shown any interest in that either but hey, what could it hurt at this point. Thank you for replying <3

/r/RedPillWomen18/11/20 01:05 PM

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with him. The problem was more the extra effort I put in to make him happy on a daily basis not even just with sex and just feeling like he doesn’t put in any effort.
/r/RedPillWomen18/11/20 01:03 PM

It’s crossed my mind lol but no, he’s very much in to females.

I actually don’t own a vibrator, but that’s going to be my next purchase. Again, he’s pretty vanilla and I don’t think will be in to using it on me but maybe.
/r/RedPillWomen18/11/20 01:01 PM

And I would never want him to feel like a failure! Even if I don’t finish I always smile, kiss him, say that was amazing. I always try to stroke his ego and make him feel great although I’m sure he’s slightly bothered knowing I didn’t get off. I’ve even said I don’t care that I don’t finish every time, I don’t expect to, if he’s happy I’m happy. But SOMETIMES (especially when I thought he got his quickie out of the way in the morning) its disappointing. I took the extra effort to get a Brazilian…

Thank you this <3 We have said before that we could probably benefit from couples therapy to open up some communication but you know... life gets busy and it just doesn’t happen. We are very happy together so I think you tend to associate therapy with couples who are not, but obviously we could use some work in this department. I feel like I’m walking on eggshells when I try to slightly bring anything sex related up, so it’s something to seriously consider.

That’s interesting about the evolutionary aspect, totally makes sense! He’s not in good shape, but not bad shape. Kinda has a dad bod going on (even tho we don’t have kids). He’s 36, smokes weed, not sure how often he mastrubates or watches porn and not sure really how to ask that lol. How could I ask him to make changes in these areas? He isn’t a super masculine guy but definitely in some ways he is. My heart does still flutter when he’s around, I am very much in to him. I feel like there’s suc…

Thank you, you’re amazing!! You are so brave to act like that in front of your husband (secretary)! My husbands reactions to the things I do do(like today I put on a French maid lingerie outfit) are very... tame. He doesn’t even say like wow you look hot. Thank you so much for responding! By vanilla I mean, same 3-4 positions. He always cums when I’m laying down on my stomach / he’s behind. Once we’re in that position I know I have like 2 mins. He will go down on me and it’s nice but never something I’d get off by. He doesn’t talk dirty or say anything, pull my hair, spank me, nothing like that. When I suggest we watch porn or do something kinda kinky the energy is just so awkward because he’s shy and I feel like it almost ruins the moment rather…

Try to appreciate her beauty rather than project negative feelings on to yourself. We can celebrate other women’s beauty and be happy for them that they were blessed with a nice little nose, or a smooth cellulite free body! Them being beautiful doesn’t take any thing away from our lives and looking at the world through a lens of appreciation rather than a lens of negativity will help you radiate with joy inside and out!
