Calling a woman a "birthing person" reduces her to her reproductive ability. Which is ironic for a term that is used by liberal feminists. The erasure of women (Sydney Watson)

Thanks but... I'm asking about women.

I feel the same way... though I don't have things going as good as you right now. Honestly, the only way is constant self-improvement, and also self-reminders that he loves you for you and there's more to you than all those things you listed, that makes him love you.

SMV - Sexual Market Value RMV - Relationship Market Value They are kinda weird when you first read them but all they really mean is how attractive you are on a sexual level (SMV) vs how valuable you will be to a long term relationship (RMV). Always good to have high values on both!

Unfortunately I'm already pretty thin so black makes me look even skinnier 😂

You definitely don't have to do the full face make up look if it doesn't feel right for you! I'm personally still trying to find my sweet spot.

I'd love to hear more about that if you don't mind, I'm 20F in a 5 year relationship so I'm halfway through the length of yours and would love to avoid future pitfalls.

If I don't fit what he wants, then it's too bad. I'm a submissive and feminine person by nature. I don't think it would feel natural for me to change that. Also I don't think two dominant people go well together.

I am raised by a narcissistic mother and an enabler father so I have several mental health problems. I have a tendency to be depressed, some symptoms of PTSD and I've most likely picked up some narcissistic behaviour from her, but I'm 100% willing to work on them. I share the problems I'm facing as much as I'm able to and my bf is more than willing to listen and help where he can. He is very supportive and encouraging and he always reminds me that he's always here for me. Although I also feel th…

I don't understand the whole thing about trying to force society to believe that being obese is in any way attractive/beautiful. I have a slouchy back, I'm not going to force everyone around me to think slouchy backs are attractive. I know it's ugly and it's something for me to work on.

I can empathize with those who are poor but those who are at the forefront of the body positivity movement are often not poor and in fact are living a privileged life and have all the time in the world to design graphics, edit photos, and post it on social media.

I remember when body positivity was all about normalizing unchangeable characteristics such as burn scars, physical disabilities such as missing limbs, etc. It was all good. Now it has been co-opted by fat activists who not only believe that being obese is permanent and genetic, but also believe that they can be healthy in the long run being obese. And then it expands to all the other things, like taking before/after photos of other people as personal attacks, believing that children being obese…

I disagree. It costs more to be obese. Fast food is more expensive than buying real food at the grocery store and cooking it yourself at home. And it can cost nothing to exercise. Just go out and walk. It's free.

I agree with your reasoning. The word "make up" itself literally already means covering for or adding onto something that was lacking. ie. "I'll make up for lost time"

I hope you get out of there soon. I know how it is to live in an abusive household.

The difference between that and this post is that this post (and this community in general) focusses on improving yourself first. Feminism focusses on demanding more from men without or with barely any improvement of oneself and what you, as a woman, can bring to the table in your relationship (which is not a career/money first and foremost).

Most posts here are to seek advice, you should expect to see mainly posts about dealing with toxic relationships, how to navigate dating life, and how to improve oneself. It's the responses that matter.

I was thinking she meant talking to guys in general and not in an interested-to-date-them way, but I could be wrong.
