I wouldn't expect to read about how annoyed you and your buddies are on the front page of the BBC

What is most surprising to me is that I found this middle-school feminist assignment on BBC's front page.

Disappointed one of the pictures isn't of a guy with a fully burnt cigarette in his mouth looking at the counter while hating Mondays.

A very good point, though I'd say your last sentence is too absolute. Most of my family members (that have died) died surrounded by family. Though your premise rings right.

Cheers. Anyway, don't trust people who give you backhanded help, it's obviously not for your benefit. And this is great advice if your balls dropped yesterday, otherwise you've probably heard it before. That's my advice to you.

For sure the counter point is that life long companionship to safeguard ending loneliness is at best an illusion. I actually tend to agree, I just hadn't seen the point I raised directly addressed.

It's not like these are news. It has been known for many years that women don't fare on the trade floor as well as men, not because they do not have access, but because they cannot hack it when there. Investment banks have massive drives to hire women, but they just do not hack it. New evidence won't address mental gymnastics.

I empathize with your sentiment, but you are wrong. The terms have been abused to shut down all conversation, that is true. But pinning the downfall of Germany on Judaism on flimsy evidence is antisemitism.

I don't like them on a global scale because they fail to account that most of economics factors are not independant. In a crisis, common neoliberal reasoning is cut expenses and try to export more. If one country does it fine. If everyone does it, everyone loose. Not true. The mercantilists of the day are the ones still worried about trade deficits. There is an issue of balance of payments that can destabilize currencies, exactly due to export-incentivizing policies. The way to get out of a cris…

Real productivity is not a matter of units of time, but of deflated prices, and "financial" relates to the financial markets, e.g. a stock price can increase without the mix of assets and liabilities changing. And the papers do control for nominal changes in production.

Not in a formal sense, but I have an interest in these things. Absolutely, and I ask with respect. I take less of an issue with your prescription for the natality problem. Your other prescriptions are the ones that run against established economic consensus, backed by empirical analysis. Your notion of cheap labor and its effects is not borne in empirical findings. Immigration does not cause wage deflation and it does not cause lower productivity. It is the opposite regarding wages, I don't know…

Both sides are pro-atomization of society (destruction of social units above the individual). Not sure I agree with this. The whole social justice concept is the defense of "vulnerable groups" (or whatever they are called). Republicans under Trump have gone through massive deregulation campaigns, which is effective reinstitution of individual rights.

This is just true. I know this from personal experience. Like, I have been on the side of enthusiastically being given control, and on the darker times in my life, seeing girls disgustingly take me away from a position of control.

There is a feedback loop, but certainly those at the top have an immense amount of influence on the public conscience. My pet peeve, for example, is performance enhancing drugs. The argument for keeping them banned is super shaky, but everyone just "knows" PEDs are awful and risk the consumer's life. People are told enough times that something is wrong - "I believe her" - and they fall in line. In my opinion, today more than ever, u/Chaddeus_Rex's wise man is absolutely right.

But he could be voted out in 2020. And as I type this, I feel a tinge of anger that those fuckwits in the left routinely have me defend a man I find to be clearly unfit for the position he holds. Still fitter than the weasels in the left who are willing to create moral hysteria that damages the very fabric of Western civilization for political points. It's not just #metoo, it's the transgender thing and all those issues on the "progressive" platform that makes them impossible to trust.

I do find a slight fault with your advice on dieting. It is step one, but you gave a new-agey sort of reason. It is step one because it is the most important factor in determining your muscle and fat content. Just eating right tears through most of the average person's fat content and weight issues.

The purpose of my post was to discuss the idea that all the RP man needs to focus on is his mission and lifting (if lifting isn't directly part of his mission already), admitting that these are undoubtedly good habits for a man. So, how you treat your one-itis, how many tingles you give a woman, how much money you have in your account, etc. is all secondary to lifting and focusing on your mission. Do you agree? Why/why not?
/r/TheRedPill08/11/17 06:50 PM

Nobody but you said anything about saving the world. You don't even know what the word mission means.
/r/TheRedPill08/11/17 03:45 AM

Because of lack of discipline, I am either on or off. So when I am on, gym 4x week, working out 6x week, cooking my own meals and eating lean. When I am off, burgers and pizza, even a pint or two. Pretty disgusting. More to my point, though, I am asserting that those are the two sine qua non of RP, lifting and mission, that everything else falls from that. What are your thoughts?
/r/TheRedPill08/11/17 03:44 AM
1

I just munched two Chick fil-A sandwiches, and I can't remember when I last stepped in the gym, because I am too busy with grad school. Bullshit, obviously. Taking advice from u/abenomix, emphasizing the habit will be the priority henceforth. Anyway, you didn't address the second point, that mission is the only other necessary RP component. I'd like to get your thoughts.

I'm not so sure lifting alone takes you to the top 1%. It has lots of intrinsic benefit, but it doesn't alone transform the man into the most desirable. A guy that gyms but has no planned future is still dead in the water.

I tend to agree. The West has by now all but completely removed reason as a hallmark of its culture. The only think to hope for at this point is that the autodestruction is as swift as possible. It's more than that. Asserting plastic surgery is a good idea could not be further from RP principles. WOMEN need to look as best as possible, that is their whole strategy (or at least, the bulk of it). MEN do not rely on looks to attract women, that is a failing strategy. Like others have said, unless you are an extreme case of severe deformation, it's not your looks that are holding you back. This post doesn't belong here.
/r/TheRedPill06/08/17 07:15 AM

More like, you're confusing core tenants with anecdotal guidance. TRP prescribes one-size-fits-all directions for men: lift, get your finances in order, work on your mission, approach, you are the prize, women are like children, lead the interaction, etc. How long you stare at her isn't part of it, these are just tips on what one guy found to be helpful. None of the core tenants should be approached like a salad bar.

/r/TheRedPill04/08/17 12:53 PM

It's not judgement. What you're saying sounds a lot like "just be yourself”. It's a critique on his approach. Nexting a chick because she hooked up with some other guys before the "nexter” sounds like an emotional response, which isn't very red pill.

Exposure to situations in which you might be rejected, yes. That is different to seeking rejection. Baseball players are good examples. You don't step up hoping to strike out. But you have been to the plate so many times, you don't fear striking out anymore.

90% of the time compliments will come from other men :D But the women absolutely adore it. They just can't say it, the same way you can't just go up to a hot chick and tell her she is hot. You have to game her.

I know what I think matters very little, but I am very glad to have read this post. I am glad the mods are taking this strong stance, whilst endorsing avenues to explore whatever natural curiosity that may arise. I want TRP to be the frame from which I take my life of constant failures to one of consistent excellence. With that said, I have read some question the wisdom of the advice to start lifting weights. Does that fall under concern trolling?
/r/TheRedPill29/06/17 07:20 PM

Lifting is a sure-fire way of releasing testosterone. It's a size that fits all men.
/r/TheRedPill29/06/17 06:55 PM

It's also that reading is not sufficient to integrate the concepts. We have to live them. I know I have to be confident with women, but it's not until I repeatedly approach groups of random women that I show any semblance of confidence.

I think a semblance of common sense is expected. The advice doesn't apply if you're already in excellent physical condition, take care of your shit and then you want to play games. I feel confident in saying most of us here realize that.

I don't think what you are saying here is congruent with side bar material. It seems to me as if you want TRP to encompass your whole perspective on what a complete man is, and to a degree it does. But again, the core is sexual market strategy, and a "big boy job" is actually an unnecessary component of that (as are good looks, money, and some others that aren't coming to mind), which contrasts with necessary components such as confidence and abundance mentality. A guy can (and they do exist) ge…

But sociopaths are born of an abusive childhood This is not definitive actually. Research apparently seems to indicate that nurture can instigate sociopathic traits, but the underlying neurology is already there and needs no triggering. Because there are many cases of seemingly normal upbringing delivering psychopaths all the same. This stuff takes decades to heal, if you're lucky enough to heal at all. The scars never leave. You have this view of a successful businessman, or a machiavellian player, but the actual psychopath is much more likely to be a criminal, in a job that requires no real responsibility (temporarily), or a (non-SJW-threshold) rapist. This is not true. Whilst psychopaths disproportionately make up prison populations, most of them are out there living "normal" lives. There is also a spectrum of psychopathy. It is not true that they are all thoroughly impulsive with very little restraint. Impulsiven…

Now get this: there are guys out there who made it their life's work to be outstanding pick up artists. Their advice on many things clashes, but they all agree you should approach as much as possible. Yet people in this thread are trying to convince us that this is bad advice.

And now you're trying to save face by changing the subject.

I do agree that you should mostly not do approaches in the gym, but not because you might inconvenience them, but because you should be focusing on your workout - resting periods included.

What? You said: lol I would bet a thousand dollars you've never cold approached a girl at the gym, had a real conversation with her, gotten her number, called her, gone on a date with her, and then fucked her. So if someone approaches a girl cold, has a real conversation with her, gets her number, calls her, goes on a date with her, then fucks her, he is still a douchebag to you? You're dumb as shit. Do I look like I give a fuck what you think about my advice? You're dumb as shit.

Very educational. Judging by the response from the endorsed, it resonates clearly with TRP principles. I particuarly liked this point: They don’t admire me—can’t admire me—because they don’t believe—can’t believe—that I worked to get this hot young thing beside me. They think she just dropped out of the sky, onto my lap—just as if I’d won the lottery. So they envy my luck, but they don’t envy me. More to the point, they certainly don’t think that they’ll ever be so lucky—so they never try to imp…

Meditation, specifically Vipassana meditation, is the most direct and effective way to do this, though lifting weights and other activities which require a strict focusing of attention also support the aim. I disagree with this. I think the fact that meditation has not become widespread practice, even by those who successfully attain the desired state of existence, shows that it is not necessarily the most effective way to do this. Less and less. I've gone from not believing I need to approach, to wanting to approach but chickening out, now I approach much more consistently, at the very least once a day for number close. Early 20s is where people most frequently place me - though a few years should probably be added to their estimates, since people aim for politeness. Right, put Clinton and Berlusconi on there. The two standing side to side with a young Ray Lewis, you think Clinton wins? Why weren't those young women out banging athletes? You think they lost their virginity to old dick? Women will trade off looks for power, and power for looks. To add to that, it's not like it is a switch either. It's not as if for 100 rejections you give a fuck, and on the 101st you don't. The more you get rejected, the more confident you are in the situation, the better you are with women and socially.

Alan Watts speaks to this. This notion that one concept of reality is in any way superior to another is itself a figment of our own imagination. Whether one way to see the world is healthier or not is one thing, but there is no objective way to discern which reflects what we call reality the closest. Nevertheless, both you and the OP provide some insight, in my opinion.

They go hand in hand. Thinking without action is immaterial, immeasurable, and therefore irrelevant. Acting without thinking is misguided and superfluous.

People poo-poo on the notion that wealth is all a mindset, but I cannot help but notice a correlation (unscientific) between the mentality of the haves, who believe they can win, who are not scared of dreaming, and the have nots, that believe the system is rigged against them, that the government needs to do more to help poor people. It is, by extension, no wonder that their offsprings replicate similar mindsets.

Well, for starters, you're worried about awkwardness. It's only when your game is weak that things are awkward, so you have to work through weak game. There won't be any magical place where meeting new people will be super comfy. My suggestion would be to read up on day game.

Okay, there is a blatant fallacy to these types of posts that has to be exposed. "Man kills woman after date because blah blah blah" - See? Women are right not to trust men, they are all killers, just one Beretta away from blowing your brains out. I'm just going to hazard a guess that the number of women over 30 in the US is well over 100 million. To make any sort of generalization on a population so large, you need to adopt proper statistical methods that you won't get by collecting a few artic…

So, went on a date with this girl, whom I knew from the moment I asked for her number that it wasn't going anywhere. We still go on this date, I try to make moves (though not the smoothest in the planet), and unsurprisingly get shut down. Would a better man be able to salvage such a situation?

You sort of pulled the stats out of your ass there, but the reasoning is solid. There is no reasonably successful way of sorting the unicorns from the overwhelmingly large AWALT population, so most rational strategy is to simply see every single one of them as AWALT. And on top of that, going through all the hurdles for suspected unicorn, whilst missing all other lay opportunities that will come and go is just not worth it. This "partners for life" thing gets old rather quickly.

Yes, but if female energy is in charge of our nations, a man can just come and take over. This is far-fetched thinking, and the west doesn't quite yet have power equals (though China is coming), but when the time comes, we'll be too concerned about human rights and making sure transexuals are allowed to be combat officers.

This is one post that really needs to delete its tldr. There is too much truth in this. Expect, the is no way of telling where we can or cannot be alphas, all of us. It is a mindset. There was a story on the FT yesterday (I think?) about there not being enough women in managerial roles in the finance role. The story went sort of like "okay, we now have more women than men in junior roles, why aren't there more women in senior roles?" Glanced over the fact that junior roles are now tilted the other way, because that is okay, now we need to make sure we have tilted the balance the other way everywhere else as well. We know it was never about equality, it's just now becoming a …

To all chronic procrastinators out there - I am sure I am not the only one - seek help. Get counselling. I have known all of those tips for years, but I still kept on procrastinating because I had (and still do) emotional issues that I had to deal with. The reason why many of us procrastinate is not because we do not know what to do, but because we have mental blocks that prevent us from doing what we consciously know we ought to do. What seems to be working for me in overcoming chronic procrast…

I'm not at a point to teach this stuff. But what I do when I want to change behavior is continuously monitor myself. That makes you more aware when similar situations recur. I write on my diary daily, I take notes on my pick up game, and I also attend counseling to unravel all the emotional shit that I have been carrying around.

My perception is that, rather than this, the result of the gynocentric society we live in is but the result of men giving too much credit to women's nags due to not having any other serious shit to worry about, such as war or starvation. One thousand percent this. It is no unfounded theory, either. Throughout history, the most well-organized and civilized societies were those in conflict. It's that muscle fatigue part. Likelihood for a randomly picked individual without some sort of support group is to give up altogether before making any stride if he goes all out from the get go. It takes serious discipline to stick to a heavy workout routine.
/r/TheRedPill13/03/17 04:57 PM

Give 100% when you workout. So few guys issue do so, and it's no coincidence I get stronger while they stay small. Strongly advise against this for those starting on their own. Don't worry about killing yourself, focus on consistency, in and out of the gym. Do the workouts, eat well and rest well. Intensity comes later. It's unlikely that someone who does not like the gym will kill himself in the first few sessions and still go back on his own volition.
