I am thirty years old and a graduate student. I did not realize how insecure I was about my age until a lecturer here asked me about it and I felt obliged to answer. He thought I was 24.

I know cognitively that age does not have to be an issue, but not letting it be bothering is easier said than done. My age reminds me of all the things that went horribly wrong up until this point in my life.

What do you recommend for basically getting over my age as an issue?
