Thanks! Less is more, is what I learned. Attraction should involve some level of give and take. If you find yourself giving too much, pull back and give the other person an opportunity to make a move. And if they’re not showing signs of interest, don’t take it personally. You never know what someone is going through! They, woman or man (or whatever), could be out just looking to decompress and not really socialize… yet we take it personally if they put up a wall. It’s not always about you. I thi…

Maybe some unconventional advice, but then again I’m not a player/pickup type… talk to everyone. When I stopped discriminating in that sense, my social skills improved a lot. I learned how to read body language and the situation, and if my company/conversation was welcomed or not. It also made me more confident in that my outings were not defined on success with a woman. I met interesting people, I discovered a couple “gem” hangouts (sadly a couple are gone!). I was surprised to learn that when …

It ended on you saying ‘bummer...’ right? She might have interpreted that as in, YOU are turned off and maybe she is unsure of YOUR feelings towards her. Text is a bitch. In the future, instead of saying bummer (kind of a negative tone there) id say something like “Cool, rain check!” And leave it at that and stop texting like the other commenter said. Ball is in her court. This should be like a game of tennis or ping pong. I’d say go radio silence for at least a week. If you really like this gir…

Do you have a Food Truck Park around you with entertainment like live music, charity fundraisers, things for the kiddies, etc? Like a festival. You guys should go do something like that together. Great icebreaker in my experience (29M). It’s a lower pressure environment where there is so much going on around you with a positive atmosphere. You can walk and talk, people watch, there’s usually tons of dogs at those venues which me personally I’m a huge dog fan and find them a source of entertainme…

I don't know the key to happiness, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

Something I didn't see mentioned here that helped me part ways with a ton of emotional baggage: Forgive yourself. I'm not looking for upvotes with this comment so take what you will from that. Got shot down by her or him? Stop wallowing in your shit and forgive yourself for being human. Shit happens. And no, life is not always fair. Not everyone will like you. And that's perfectly okay. The sooner you embrace that, the happier you will be. It doesn't mean you have to be a dick to people or becom…

The only advice I can offer is find someone who lets you be you. It is very liberating. It took me 27 years to finally look in a restaurant drive-through window after a harsh rejection to accept that I am a prize. It's not arrogance. Hell, maybe it is. No one should have to pine after somebody else. Fuck that. Life is too short for that bullshit. Ask yourself one question... are you a good person who goes out with good intentions? If you can answer yes to that, fuck that hot bitch. Realizing thi…

I wouldn't sweat too much what's happened and what her impression is of you, etc. You strike me as an over-thinker, which I can empathize with. Don't overthink this too much! Remember, this should be about the both of you having a fun time together. Don't worry about doing everything perfectly, because that's next to impossible.

I feel like you are too caught up in the game. You should have replied to her about going cycling. If she flaked on you again, then you move on to someone who actually wants to hangout with you. You don't need to make a scene about it, you don't need to deactivate your FB... you move on to someone who genuinely wants to go cycling with you and doesn't just want to talk about it. Actions speak louder than words. The time someone is willing to actually invest in you and spend with you, and not tal…

But there is no point to just sitting around acting all sad, because no one is gonna solve your problems for you. There is no guarantee for success, and there is no guarantee for failure. I've seen people work really hard and come up short, and I've seen people bullshit their way to success. But...I do feel like I've seen that those who tend to try harder put themselves in a position to be more successful, and those who don't try tend to put themselves in a position to be less successful. I'm ha…

You could take a lot of pressure off yourself by not setting the expectation that something "more" will happen. I'm speaking from my own personal experience that things improved a lot for me when I stopped setting an expectation about the end of the night. You won't feel the anxiety, which women can and will pick up on, and you'll be able to better enjoy yourself. Go with the flow and enjoy the party atmosphere. Keep conversation light and fun. I believe in the saying that less, results in "more…

Not quite the same, but reminds me of watching my Dad break down about 20 years ago when we had to put the family dog down. My Dad was in uber-hardass-mode at that time so it was extremely rare to see him get emotional. Our beloved Black Lab was a glue of sorts that brought us together, and he lived to be 17 years old. He was in pain (couldn't walk down the stairs, he was choosing to "slide" down them), and we chose to put him down. My father could not take the dog into the vet. My older sister …

Got to embrace it and move in life. Don't dwell. Do not dwell. I used to think that in dwelling something or someone would pity me and some magic fix would happen. No. You just feel like shit for that much longer, and putting off getting up, moving around, and being happier. Stuff like what happened to you has to happen, sometimes. It sucks. Life can be unfair, and it can hurt. I'm making a recommendation about your friend situation...the "friends" who are making connections with that guy on soc…

"She called me one day and told me her ex had texted her. he said he was coming home that weekend and that he wanted to talk about getting back together. And she wanted to listen." Don't look back. You're a priority, not an option.

This. OP needs to stop looking for validation and accept himself. Easier said than done, but pursue his passions and goals and guaranteed there will be improvement in the intimate/relationship department.

Just keep in mind the context of those social circles and settings. There's been instances in my life where I said something and I was taken back or surprised at how it wasn't received or reciprocated, but then I had to step back and be honest about maybe why what I said or did wasn't well received. But yes, I agree very much with what ThatNVGuy said per "no matter what happens you will be ok" (per Models). If you want to hangout, great. If not, where's the next person? If there's not a next per…

investing more into entertainment and multi media systems over appropriate furniture and decor Yes, OP way overthinking this part. I admittedly used to be overly concerned with that stuff. OP needs a neat and decent living space. Less is more.

In middle school I was publicly humiliated in front of plotting and anticipating individuals. With a "friend" and past crushes being involved. Being a vulnerable and clueless individual was probably the primary reason for being targeted. Stopped reading here. It's alright man. You need to put middle school, high school, etc behind you. Most of those people you'll never see or hear from again, so why are you feeding an experience that happened a decade+ ago? Also, they were kids, just like you. S…

You have to escalate. http://www.seductionscience.com/2014/sexual-escalation-10-tips/ Try not to take any of this too personally, and I didn't read all of it, but it should point you in the right direction. Edit: And you don't have to live by all of this. It's just clear you aren't escalating fast enough.

I'll say this...I think the answer is kind of both. Will they help you / allow you to repay the $$$ on a payment plan? Perhaps you can put some money down and then pay them the remainder over monthly terms. Use Uber in the meantime! Remember, sometimes you have to pull up the bootstraps and knock the dust off. I've heard varying numbers on this, but it takes 21 days to make something a habit. Embrace the experience to work on improving and don't be too hard on yourself, but hold yourself account…

I would honestly recommend separating from your normal 'pack' or routine one evening and just put yourself out there. Go out with the mentality that these places are open for business and it's your right as a paying customer (buy a drink, pay the cover, etc) to be there and enjoy yourself. Don't try too hard. Just 'observe' comfortably. Make small-talk with folks around you. Keep it light. I went out solo one night to a concert for a band I liked that stopped in town, and there probably wasn't b…
