thanks for the reply :) I appreciate the honesty. I am very much a natural subservient, doting partner, so I think that's why I naturally feel the desire to take advantage of my youth while I still have it. I don't desire to just basically find a sperm donor who will pay for things, but a true companion I can grow old with and have fun creating mini versions of us with. So like you said, I can definitely treat it as a job, as I take making my man happy very seriously. I get a very strong sense o…

I think what I was trying to get at is I want to find my own happiness separate from him, so I am not putting the pressure of my happiness on his shoulders. Because I can't be an optimal partner if he is my happiness. Because then that would mean if he was having a bad day, my day would subsequently turn bad as well. And then I've ruined myself as a good support system. I do need a man to satisfy my desire for companionship, but I don't want to need him so desperately that I lose my own identity…

Ah, very true. That's a good reminder :) Thank you.

First off - thank you so much for taking the time to reply with that response :) I really appreciated it, and it really did lift my spirits. I feel more secure now about my fleeting youth, especially when you phrased the concept of hitting the wall at 25 in the context that you did. I have never been promiscuous or attention seeking, and while obviously everyone likes attention, I don't need it endlessly to feel happy about myself. I also don't smoke at all, drink very occasionally, work out, an…

Leaving him is the right way to go here :) If he is beta-orbiting right in front of you...that's just sad. Why would he even do that in the first place? He already has a girlfriend... My parents have friends that are now divorced, and they've been friends for 20 years. The female in the divorced relationship is very close to my dad, but she is also very close to my mom. They are truly friends, as established over time. She is also a great person, so it's hard not to friend her. I would vouch for…

He wasn't demonstrating his qualities as a great guy friend (how he wants the world to see it), but was rather beta-orbiting this girl. Firstly, I'd be turned off if any BF of mine was beta-orbiting another woman. Why would he do that if I was sitting right there next to him? Also, while some beta characteristics can be desirable in a man, such as a need/want for a family, white knighting is not one of them. It's desperation. And that's the opposite of confidence. It's kind of similar to seeing …

Nah, I won't lust after him. He cheated on me. It was a part of his nature, and I can respect that, but I can't chase a romanticized version of him for the rest of my life. The dude was top alpha, and so he spun his plates. It's the nature of a true alpha, and I unfortunately learned that the hard way. If I am going to be as loyal as a dog to a man, I expect something akin in return. Also...my morals and self discipline are luckily higher than my libido. If I just cannot control myself, for what…

Wow...I really needed to read that. It definitely helped a lot. While I'd love to give up my career to settle down with a man (gotta find one first ;P ) I at the same time don't feel all that worthy of putting pressure on his shoulders to provide for me and future kids. That can really stress a couple out. I want to help out in every way that I can in our relationship. And right now, my youth can make it all rainbows and butterflies, but once I begin to age, I strongly fear he would see me as de…

No I definitely think you are pretty spot on. My ex was pretty alpha. Had he been rich/famous, he'd definitely be in the top 1%. Super attractive and groomed, hard worker, made a lot of money, in his mid 30s, buff as hell, and about 6'4". He also is a womanizer, and knows how to reign in the ladies. I once called him James Bond, because he essentially was like a low profile version of James Bond. I sort of lived with him for the last few months of our relationship, as my part time job was close …

This is definitely something to consider. I do know, fundamentally, I won't change as a person to a strong degree in regards to being a RPW. By nature, I am a very doting, submissive female in a relationship and always treat the relationship like a full time job. Always have been that way, before I even realized how to describe it. Perhaps the major thing that could change is more related to my time becoming more precious, with less of me to go around if I am always working a serious job...

Thanks for responding. And okay, I'll have to to make a post over there then. I was curious about guys POV mostly, since I'm wondering what their perception of my SMV would be. But getting experience notes from other ladies is also a good idea :) Also...dat user name.

Honest question: I am an only child, 22 female, joining the air force for an intel job with plans to secure a high paying job after the military in the 6 figs category. I feel pressured from my parents (being their only kid) and society to find a job to support myself with, since divorce rates are so high and I could be committing career suicide by settling down (meaning if I get divorced 15 years from now, I am screwed for not having furthered my job earlier in life), etc. I am very confused ho…

I think the whole point about independence early on for children is at some point they grow up. They need to learn all they can to be the best adult they can be. Yes, growing up can be grim at times, but it has to happen at some point. I used to walk a block by myself as a young girl, but my parents also were very clear in warning me about strangers and such. I also lived in a normal neighborhood, like how most do. There's no way I'd allow a child of mine to go walking alone on some of the stree…

I think a lot of my unnatural attitude (by modern standards anyway) stems from being a young female who recently graduated college, which means I was surrounded by new wave feminism. Pretty much everywhere. Almost every female friend I had was getting at least a minor in women's studies. I don't even make that up. It boggled my mind how many girls going to college thought it was a serious issue and was willing to waste their college credits with those classes. Needless to say, I didn't remain fr…

Ugh, feminization has seriously ruined a lot of the U.S. I find rough, aggressive men very attractive and the preferred mate. I never had a desire to be with a docile "man" who is just as sensitive as a woman on her period. It's probably the same for guys when faced with chicks who think they are men. Only a tiny fraction actually like those gender swaps. It's just not natural. And did I mention how much I hate how feminists have ruined all of this? Because I do. I really do. This post definitel…

I used to be infatuated with the idea of "the one". I assume it was derived from all the Disney movies and love stories thrown at me when I was growing up. I have lost my obsession for "the one" recently, in the past year or so (22 atm). I do believe that it is possible to find someone that you can spend a lifetime with, sort of fitting the definition of "the one". But I now know it's definitely not as black and white as fairytales make it out to be. Relationships are meant to enhance our lives,…

I think an issue here, coming from a females POV, is that she recognizes this child is half hers, and thus this is her way of laying claim without realizing it's not as simple as that. It'd be like, instead of putting 'mother' on the birth certificate, they put 'birth giver'. Something is robbed in that title, just like not having your last name robs you of that feeling that mostly all men value when having a child - your name is also theirs. Perhaps she is thinking more along the lines of it's …

I can relate to a lot of this. The key is always to not change who you are at the core of yourself. Fine-tune the qualities that need it, enhance what can be enhanced, but never change who you are at the core. You will become too chameleon-like, always seeking a personality to match whoever you are interested in versus naturally evolving over time with gained experiences and new perspectives. Essentially, you will never truly be yourself, and that will eventually show. Confidence is key in datin…

Yeah, I can see where that trepidation stems from. It's hard to see it from a female's perspective in the beginning, as I don't date women so I don't see that side of them, but from the male friends I have known, or from watching couple friends of my parents, I can see pretty clearly how men are treated by many modern women. I'm still an advocate that most women just need some firm assertion. They'll complain at first, but if 50 shades of horrible literature shows us anything, women eat that up.…

Am female. Can confirm all of this. Never discuss your feelings or emotions. Just don't. Holding her hand in silence or hugging her warmly is all she needs. Do not betray your inner emotional life to a woman's fickle ears. Do not talk about yourself. Don't psychoanalyze yourself out loud to her. Talk about the things you love and enjoy. Don't talk about yourself. She is not worthy of that. That is for a close male friend if at all. If you are looking for LTR in the end, these two points are goin…

Hmm...very interesting question. I'm not fully equipped to answer it, since I have never had any desires to whore myself out or be a part of the CC culture. I have a very high libido, but I definitely pay very close attention to how many notches on my bedpost I have. I've only have two sexual partners in my life (22 atm), and I am currently dating the second one. I never understood that mentality of screwing a bunch of men inbetween relationships. I don't mind a male partner who has had many par…

I mostly agree with this post. But coming from a woman's perspective, I feel like the best balance a man can have is a man who is alpha by nature, but knows when to let a few beta moments slip in. Or basically knowing when to cool the alpha mentality so it doesn't become overbearing and harsh. My SO is a natural alpha. And I am a natural submissive female by nature. Needless to say, we both thrive in relationships where someone else is very complimentary to our nature, ie, I can't date betas and…

Great post :) I think I got lucky when being raised. (I'm female) My dad always shows his love through actions, such as fixing my car, always taking care of the lawn, shoveling snow, always buying things for the house, I always have a nice pair of tennis shoes, etc. You get the picture. When I was younger, around 14 or so, dad bought mom flowers. I told her how cute that was, and asked why he doesn't do it more often (thinking to movies and stuff) and she said air in her tires is way more import…

That sounds like a tough situation :( The only thing I can think of is do things for him that are a feminine role, like make dinner or clean and continue to ask him to do masculine things, like fix anything around the house or tend to the car, etc. And compliment him when he does those things. I guess help make him feel like a man. Boost his male ego, it might get him to act more like a man, which can help you see him that way as well. Maybe send him to TRP as well. There are things he could sti…

I don't have a schedule. Like other said, I have a few rules: Dishes belong in the dishwasher or in the cabinets. Once they are done being used, they get cleaned. *Vacuum when it's necessary. Once a week on a minimum, but if it needs more I won't hesitate. Same goes for the kitchen floor and cleaning it. *Counters should always be clean and clear. *The bed is *always made *Once the laundry basket is full, just do it. Laundry doesn't take long at all. *Always clean the sink after he shaves *Alway…

I can see your POV, and it does make a lot of sense. Although, what about when that said 20 year old becomes 40? :( That makes me nervous about aging now (22 atm). Does that mean I am just screwed no matter what in the love game? I also tend to be impressed by anything, no matter how many times I have seen it as well. But I am also a 'stop and smell the roses' type of person. And for me, a vast majority of the time, it's never really the subject matter that intensifies a memory, but rather who i…

Other than the fact that snagging someone twice your youth is a status of power, wealth, and success, a lot of women today let themselves go once they reach their thirties or forties. When women are still young, even if they aren't the most interesting or dynamic person, they're still hot. And men are visual creatures. He'd probably rather put up with an uninteresting hot young female than a well rounded, thoughtful woman in her 30s-40s who has let her body go. Men will always look at younger wo…

I find that if flirtation happens, it's no big deal at all. As long as the SO isnt acting like they are a single player looking for a new girlfriend, who cares? It makes him feel good. Plus, I show a little jealousy, and he likes it. Not the controlling jealousy, but the playful kind, like 'hey, that sexy man is mine'. Take pride in him being yours, and show it. Trust me, he will love that a strange new woman is interested, plus his wife/girlfriend is being defensive of her territory. Talk about…

I think a major facet here is it's important, in a world of growing fat people, to find someone who values fitness and health. I know for sure there is no way I am ballooning after marriage, or at any point in any relationship. But I also workout and eat with moderation. So it's a lifestyle and pride thing for me as well. So perhaps in the dating world, a good strategy, if seeking LTRs, is to find someone with a priority on their looks. Not a shallow one, but a prideful one of taking care of the…
