I don't disagree. The only difference is feminism promotes ideas that reduce female happiness, whilst RP promotes ideas that increase male happiness ...and again if you switch the words a bit here you'll sound like a radical feminist.

However, I fail to see how this criticism affects these men's position. If anything, it only validates it. If I state that "pitbulls are dangerous", and you answer "you only say that because you were bitten by one", well, you've just proven my point? Replace "pitbull" with "men" and you have the radical feminist argument right there.

It also means that you can have children even if the father doesn’t work somewhere which can pay him extra because of your kid.

Nah, the wall doesn't hit everyone. I am 30 now and the women who were hot at 20 are still hot at 30. The women who hit "the wall" typically don't work out, have a bad diet, smoke, spend too much time tanning etc. Saggy breasts, bad skin etc is a combination of genetics and self-care.

One user on that thread commented that him not dating women his own age meant that he didn't recognize them as having any value. I replied that you can indeed find value in people even if you're not interested in them romantically. For instance, you find value in you female siblings, your female friends etc. My comment got downvoted and removed by a moderator. For calling out an incel level comment. That entire sub is so weird at times.

Q4All: Do you think that women's expectations are outpacing public policy, workplace culture and family life? Perhaps public policy and workplace culture. Women are being taught that they're oppressed and that males are treated favorably. The ones who believe this may have expectations/make demands that are completely unreasonable Q4All: What do you think is responsible for men and women trending towards a preference of traditional roles? I'm not much of a feminist, but the US is an ass backward…

It doesn't have to be engineering or anything like that. It can be something very simple: Him: picks up flour and some vegetables We can make home-made quesadillas! Her: Ooooh I like that. But then we need to go to the store and buy tortillas Him: .....No, I mean we can make the tortillas from scratch, why do you think I held up the flour? Her: Aaaah! But we still need to buy the sauce though Him: ....why do you think I picked out those vegetables? Intelligence is simply the speed of one's cogni…

Intelligence doesn't necessarily mean you talk about intellectual stuff. It means you have a similar speed of reasoning and pattern recognition. When you talk to someone who's less intelligent, they will routinely not be able to follow your logic no matter what subject you're talking about. This would actually be very apparent when you're discussing things that involve planning and multiple variables, such as travelling and cooking.

They lack external validity. A way more accurate way to test this would simply be to have a bunch of undergrads complete intelligence tests, and then set up blind speed dates and have them rate chemistry afterwards. Or the other way around to avoid demand charact…

I disagree. Who hasn’t spent time chasing someone they can’t get before? Whether she wants you or not is something you clearly can tell by her behavior. If she says it like that and isn’t enthusiastic about you? Yeah, I agree. If she says she used to chase people who didn’t want her, but clearly and enthusiastically seems crazy about you? It doesn’t really matter. There’s no automatic mechanism that suggests she’s not head over heels for you even if she stopped chasing some idealized “chad”.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/18 11:20 PM

It depends on the setting. If she’s been single for a while before meeting me it’s pretty normal to talk about why, and this might be a reason.

My reaction would be "That's a pretty socially retarded thing to say to someone you're dating.". Because it is. Saying something like "I used to only fall for guys who I couldn't get" would be ok though. Whether or not she actually wants me or has settled will be pretty visible through her actions.

30 here As the question says how has it changed for you since your 20’s? It's gotten easier. Particularly with women around my age, but also with mid 20s women. Do you still use the same techniques to get women? To some extent yes. I'm a lot more patient now though when it comes to sexual escalation, and I'm a bit more verbally open and direct. Do you attract the same caliber? Hm. More or less the same I guess. Maybe a bit better at times.

I think one of the contributing factors in this phenomenon is the ideas of male privilege and female oppression. We(western societies) are brought up being taught this as a fact. A consequence of this is that when a man shows weakness or asks for help, the "sympathy bar" is way higher since people on some level think "You're a (white) male. How many problems can you have? You're just whining about stuff the rest of us deal with every day. Man up!". In contrast, when a woman expresses frustration…

That’s a different claim - their standards are the same as they’ve always been, equal or higher status/resources.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/18 11:12 PM

Perhaps one of the largest problems is that schooling is restricted to a select amount of people. This can, however, perhaps be solved by new, digital forms of education open to everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/18 10:51 PM

Women are doing what they’ve always done - select mates based on certain phenotypic traits displayed through (amongst other things) status and resources. But they’ve helped create a society which does not allow enough men to reach their potential, which means there aren’t enough men that trigger the desire to have children and settle down with. The idea that women collectively have increased their standards is absurd.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/18 10:50 PM
30

There's an easy solution to this. The women who feel affected can actually start voicing their concerns on how western education is discriminating against men and boys. Because that's mostly the cause of this. Even when you take into account the flatter normal distribution of men in most cognitive traits, this does not explain how women receive higher grades and thus have an easier time gaining admission to college. Additionally, societal pressure for STEM-fields and tech companies to open up an…

Thanks for the advice - as I mentioned I don’t really have any issues actually attracting women, sleeping with them or getting dates. Ive actually used casual sex with women subconsciously as a way to prove to myself that I deserve someone. That was mostly the point of my post - to see if anyone felt the same way.

I’m a bit confused here - are you talking about the guys being out of the women’s league? Because I thought we were discussing the opposite
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/18 02:46 PM
1

Yup, that’s my guess. Based on personal experience of having driven women away by being needy, and what I’ve seen/heard from others. Usually when a woman has sex with you it means you’re in or above her league, especially if it happens quickly. In my experience anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/18 02:06 PM

I really doubt they’re keeping them along as fwbs if they’re not seen as boyfriend material. I imagine they have sex a few times, and then they’re rejected. But this is pure speculation.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/18 01:52 PM

It goes both ways I think. Low SES men seem to really be dating down to a very obvious extent.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/18 12:44 PM

If a guy is 2-3 point above his woman in attractiveness he usually has serious personality flaws which leads to that compromise in my experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/18 12:32 PM
1

If they’re getting laid, league isn’t their problem. I’m guessing they’re coming on a bit too strong. In my experience, women actually don’t want to be “chased” at all. They want you to take the risks, but if you don’t allow them to be the ones pushing for relationship progress, they usually lose interest.

Work out, wear fitting clothes, get a haircut etc. Get good at something. Develop something about you that makes people want you to join them in social settings. Be your own person. This stuff makes you attractive. After that - it’s mostly about recognizing when a woman is interested in you and acting on it. Talk to as many women as possible so you expose your attractive traits to as many as possible. Socialize instead of hitting on random girls. Only start being sexual when you see signs of int…

Being vulnerable isn’t the same as being hysterical or not being emotionally stable. Emotional instability is a turnoff, but so is lack of emotional introspection. Vulnerability simply means that you’re willing to expose yourself to the world - even if that means being judged. It means admitting that you haven’t skydived because you’re afraid - not because you “think it’s stupid”.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/18 09:23 AM

It is a very important aspect of attraction, I agree. I think her feeling “safe” mostly comes down to consistency of behavior - you are who you say you are, so she doesn’t constantly worry about what you’re going to do next

American service isn’t really anything to brag about on an international scale either. Seems like the tipping system is mostly an excuse for employers not to pay a living wage to their employees.

This reminds me of a girl I dated many years ago. We had been on a few dates, and she had finally invited me to her place for our next date, so I expected to get laid. So we’re drinking wine in the couch, and I start going on about how ridiculous I find motivational quotes and posters. Like - I really, really hate them and find them meaningless and shallow. I think they have several obvious advantages: Interview settings. Women have a lot of leeway when it comes to confidence. Behavior that would make a man seem arrogant is accepted in women ("strong woman"). On the flip side, insecurity is expected as well - while this makes a man seem unqualified. In general, women seem to simply be given the benefit of the doubt when it comes to anything on their professional record, while interviewers are more suspicious of men. I base this on my experience fro…

Buddy, one day you're going to have to recognise that the girl who got better grades than you in college wasn't being showered with automatic praise by the professors because she was symmetrical and had a womb, its because she was brighter than you and worked harder. Actually, there are multiple studies that indicate that the "grades gap" can be explained by the preferential treatment of women. Notice how feminist attitudes affect this. Yes. But this is the only study which has examined all relevant variables. Other studies that indicate the wage gap simply point out variance that is explained through gender, and then immediately concludes with discrimination rather than individual behavior.

This is the most comprehensive and statistically rigorous study which has been conducted on the wage gap, and the only one to my knowledge which can account for all relevant factors. It indicates that a 7%(which was the figure you cited) wage gap can be explained by differences in performance.

Men are already super sensitive to anything women say to them. He doesn’t need an attractive women telling him he looks like a bum and it’s viscerally disgusting. His male friends or even his boss should tell him. His father/mother should have told him when he grew up. Or his teacher. Or his buddies. I’m also convinced many people just don’t have an eye for “aesthetics.” Literally all the hosts did was give a guy a different hair cut, and maybe a different hair color; and upgrade his wardrobe and tell him to stand straight and improve his posture. I notice the lack of a controlled experiment here... But speaking anecdotally, this is BS. Unless you're a powerful or extremely attractive man, it's the complete opposite. It's not uncommon for women to just grab whatever body part they want on a man they find attractive. *Especially* older women with a younger man. I thought I was going crazy with the amount of people acting as though this was a controversial observation. This used to be commonly accepted back in the late PUA area. I think the main reason for the denial of this is the influx of dating apps, and the extreme amount of guys who don't know how to present themselves or act in such a setting. There's no feedback loop which informs them how close they are to actually matching with someone, or why women aren't replying to them, so it becomes incre…

I hear a lot of men say that women ignore nice men to date assholes, at least in their youth. But to my observation, niceness is a very transitory and situational trait and not a global state of being. So there are no nice men, at least in the way people mean it. It depends on what you mean by nice. The examples you mention are pretty shallow: For instance certain men will act VERY nice and beta when you first meet them. They will shower you with gifts, attention, and validation. I don't think a…

In my book you’re kind of an asshole if you change your behavior toward your partner based on mild physical changes of the sort which are common like aging and weight gain. If you're not aroused by your partner, you're not aroused by your partner. It's not something you choose to be. Do you think a woman is an asshole if she stops wanting sex with her man?

Right - I agree with that description of arousal. And that was basically my primary point;men are mostly aroused/turned on by looks. He claims to love the woman, but he isn't turned on by her anymore.

Easiest way to figure it out would be to get back to the weight at which he was still initiating sex with her and see if the issue resolves itself. Agreed. It's like - give it a try at least. Losing 10 pounds (if that's what she's gained) takes at most a couple of months. Having physical standards for your partner is sort of out of vogue right now, despite the fact that it's pure delusion to think that physical appearance doesn't impact desire, no matter how much you love a person. Even if only a tiny percentage of chad alpha's are polygamous they can ruin mongogamy for all the remaining guys if most women are hypergamous. Are you talking about cheating here? Because otherwise this statement makes no sense.

I share this sentiment sometimes. Especially when you read about women choosing guys who don't do housework, can't communicate properly, basically act like overgrown children etc and they complain that this is some sort of societal male patriarchal issue or something. All I can think is: "....but you chose that guy. He's like that. Tons of men are not like that, but you chose him.". It's like personal responsibility is completely left out of the discussion.

It takes far more than 10lbs to do this. If he's super skinny then yes. But at some point, 10lbs is sufficient to change your body shape. There's a line somewhere where once you cross it, your body shape changes dramatically. Look, if he ever was attracted to her, it was too precarious to be a good fit for an ltr. Yup. And as I've been saying in other posts - she may have pulled off some decent curves at 175, but sooner or later fat starts storing itself in very unattractive places - face, chin, stomach. 10 lbs can absolutely make a huge difference. Hell, I'm a 5'11 man and 10lbs makes a very visible difference on my physique.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/18 11:10 AM

Well actually this is the most reasonable assumption one can make statistically. And hell - even if she is 6 feet tall (which is extremely unlikely), she would still have a BMI that classifies her as overweight (25).

he was never into her and the recent 10lbs is not the issue. I disagree with this. Women's bodies are visually attractive to men due to the proportions between their hips and waist. Lots of women can look very attractive even if they're overweight because the fat is stored in a way which supports their curves. But there's a limit to how overweight you can be while pulling this off. 10lbs can be the differene between "Chubby, but good looking curves" and "Chubby with no visible curves between hip…

New relationship energy can do that, you spike with something 'new' but then fall back into your niche. This maybe applies to a ONS if you're pretty drunk. But why on earth would he enter a relationship with someone he's not attracted to? That makes absolutely no sense. How do we solve the manchild problem as it stands now? I think the popularity of Jordan Peterson demonstrates exactly how. Men need tough love - someone to get in their face and tell them to get their goddamn shit together in a stern but respectful way. This sort of communication often makes girls and women insecure. So schools in the western world have (my hypothesis) changed their communication in a way that doesn't cause insecurity in women, but which causes men to not grow up. The educationa…

In a recent thread about Jordan Peterson there was discussion of a concept called “enforced monogamy”, which from my understanding meant that society should encourage monogamous long-term relationships. A large part of this is social. Jordan talks a lot about how cheating is seen as immoral, and how the concept of a relationship as exclusive seems to exist in all cultures. Incels seem to interpret it as a curbing of women's hypergamy, but from what I understand enforced monogamy is mostly invent…

Hypergamy - Female nature defined, and implied AWALT. Peterson's idea is a bit different. He talks about dominance hierarchies and male competition as a selection mechanism for women which keeps the species healthy. The Thomson Reuters Foundation surveyed 500 experts to determine where women were most at risk. Countries were ranked in six key areas: health care, sexual violence, nonsexual violence, cultural practices, discrimination and human trafficking. Passive pursuing might be the right word in some cases - she pursues by giving out signals. I think maybe women prefer to do this rather than having guys pursue them, which puts a lot of pressure on them.

Or a third possibility, that the guy’s bad adulting habits didn’t manifest until after they moved in together and had kids. It seems like you’re implying that a guy who doesn’t help around the house was putting those habits on display pre-marriage and that she knew he’d be like that before having kids with him. In my experience, women with the emotional workload problem skew traditional and don’t experience living with their husbands until either right before or right after marriage, meaning he …

Now it's tough to generalize from my parents to all women, but I wonder if women are by nature a little less confrontational (on average) and they actually kind of know what will happen - the few times they started a fight, they saw where it went. So some women just don't start on it. Perhaps. I think women have a much more indirect style of communication, and some of them are often angry at men for not understanding subtle communication ("I went to bed early instead of watching TV with you beca…

I think you’re misunderstanding the comic. Why do you assume the woman hasn’t communicated with the man? .... I didn't. I presented this as a possibility, not as an assumption. If you read again you'll see that I also mentioned another possibility. Women stuck with the bulk of the emotional load often do communicate their issues and are labeled various negative names: nagging, bitchy, overbearing, shrill. Sure. A lot of men do that. Hence what I said as option A. There is definitely a conversati…

Eh, I consider myself a 6-7 looks wise and I've pretty approached a lot of times through my life. Women are rarely as upfront as men are about it though, but if you suddenly randomly find yourself talking to some woman through a "random" interaction, it's usually her who's been finding a bit more of a discrete way to get in touch with you. If she seems interested when you're talking to her, that is.

Pointing out fallacies is typically what people who are poor at arguing do, so go ahead and keep doing that. You could probably not explain to me why it is a fallacy. "No True Scotsman" is a logical fallacy because you keep changing the definitions of whatever you're arguing to suit your argument.

Think of it this way: you have two containers. You're saying pouring into both containers at the same time at the same rate is equality. Feminism doesn't believe the containers are equally full to start with and so pouring into both at the same time wouldn't make them any more equally full at the end. Feminism wants to bring both containers to the same level. Pouring into the container that already has more in it doesn't help bring the less full container to parity. This analogy makes sense only…

Or trying to get rid of this whole idea that men have to be strong and emotionless which is part of the reason that so many of them are committing suicide without even going to anyone for help first. It's a feminist issue as well because this whole "girls are emotional and that's weak" is stupid and what causes men to see it as weak in themselves as well. This is a key point - feminism treats men as defective women. You talk as if the problem is that there's an idea that "Men have to be strong a…

Though what's also very grating about this reasoning is the shamelessly gynocentric approach to that problem: Sure, but this is the way the question is literally framed in the OP and in your comment. Evolution selects for genes that cause men to commit rape because men who rape spread their genes. Functionally speaking, this is an incentive, although the rapist is not aware of the existence of the incentive at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/18 11:59 AM

From a darwinian point of view, a motivation to rape can evolve simply because it spreads the genes of the rapist. With birth control, women can prevent this from happening, so the (assumed) genetic foundation for rape disappears. The "Darwinian Incentive" is simply that genes spread. It doesn't directly imply what motivates the rapist.

You can assess it based on how your interaction with the man you're seeing/dating is. If you're always chasing him, you never seem to meet his friends, it takes him a while to respond to messages etc - he's probably above your league in some way. Also, if he talks about stuff like not being ready for something serious right now, or wanting to take things slow, not putting labels on anything etc - it also may be a sign of this.

See, other subreddits are full of men saying women should ask them out more, but I suspect this is often the case when it does happen. I think it's a bad circle. Why do men ask out women more than the opposite? Because we have to (supply and demand) Because we're less risk averse + the risk of asking out a woman (being rejected, feeling stupid) is also way less serious than the risk of asking out a man (you get a stalker/rapist) Why do women get asked out more than men? It's a standard most men will never be able to meet, and it essentially means 80% of men will be relegated to sexual deserts and "rapist" status. Because they'll never be able to ratchet up that kind of desire in a woman (i.e. a woman who wants to fuck him so badly she's practically screaming FUCK ME NOW), they are de facto rapists every time a woman "consents" to duty sex, maintenance sex, or sex because she's bore…

I totally believe that most women have experienced this. Because a very small fraction of men are extremely perverted and have absolutely no boundaries. What isn't talked about enough in the #metoo are the other issues that surround this: The guys who get away with this stuff are usually attractive, popular…

Looking at that curve makes me think that ratings - the way people talk about them - aren't really based on a normal distribution curve. But again - maybe I'm overlooking the fact that this curve also includes old, fat, disabled women and those are invisible to me. I don't know.

No, it's a bell curve. Like most human metrics. The shape of all bell curves isn't equal you know. Standard deviations differ in range.

Yep, 7-8: Hot, but not a knockout. 90% of women fall into this category. If a woman isn't fat, and doesn't have a deformity she's hot, and all but top tier men will compete for her. But lacking in many features that really make you go "wow!". 90% of women are hot? Wow. Got a picture with an example?

That's because you couldn't keep them around with your honest self, dude. It's you. You lack something in the attractiveness department (most likely not looks, but smarts, personality/character and LTR values). No issues with the mindset. The mindset is perfect. Right - that would be the simple and easy explanation. This feels fake and/or forced. It most certainly comes off that way. Sure, that was maybe a bad example - I see your point. I am not suggesting that you should pretend to be busy if you're not. The point of that comment was that you can create some excitement and anticipation. In the situation I described, you already say yes to the date - but she's wondering when it will be. With regard to "letting her develop feelings at her own pace" -- again, this is malarkey if you're doing nightlife or online dating. Being in limbo mode where a potential couple's attraction to one another is hard to gauge is a mindfuck (to me most certainly) - I would avoid putting myself or anyone sane into that position. If you're not making her want to chase you after 1-3 dates (for a lack of better way to put it), it means: I'm not talking about attraction here. I'm talking about being cons…

Probably. I'm a 6-7 myself. Most attractive women I've been with are around 8. I think my "happy point" is someone who I rate as a 7. Everything above that is great, but other things are more important once she's above that threshold.

This really lines up with my experience. I'm almost 30 now, and I remember that in my early 20s women who liked me would just go "all in" from the start as long as they were attracted to me, thinking that they could change whatever part of me they thought needed changing. Mid-late 20s women seem to be a lot more picky on a lot more factors.

I think that thread is more about their accountability for their choices. For instance, as I wrote in that post, the woman in this comic does not hold herself accountable for her own choice in her partner. She has likely chosen a man who has a very different view than she has on orderliness. Her (in my view) options are either to A: Discuss this openly with her husband, get his view of the story, agree on distribution of chores. This might involve compromise from her. or B: Abandon the relations…

I discussed something similar a while ago in relation to this comic. The exact same issue appears here. The woman in the comic has chosen to marry and have a child with a man who (according to her) does not do enough around the house. She does not communicate this to him (or at least - she makes no mention of it). Instead, she magically expects him to read her mind and see the world her way. He obviously does not. This is exactly the dynamic I'm interested in exploring here. Like - does she genuinely believe that you've changed? Or are you just one weak moment away from her thinking "Not again! I knew it!" Human memory is extremely malleable, so in theory she could - if you were to rise from zero to hero - possibly reinterpret her memories in a way that indicates "You went through hell and back", and that this illustrated your strength of character and why she admires you so.

Other traits not mentioned: being naturally cool or suave, excellent communicator, good at sustaining interests about a broad array of shared worldly interests, ability to control the flow and direction of a group conversation, natural ability to influence and charm other people (women and men), natural ability to network socially. A lot of these are things that can be improved but some of it is genetic and people with average or low EQs e.g. such as with guys with asperger's can't do any of tha…

No, I think those studies show that women on OKC rate pictures of men on OKC in accordance with that pattern. Tons of other variables such as the type of males that frequent OKC, the consequence of rating a man highly, the gender ratio, and (most importantly) the photo quality that the men use influences this. An average guy using tinder with some decent pictures will get matches and dates with average girls

This is equivelent because most healthy woman have pretty much the same basic features. High voice, breast, wide hips, womb. But most guys aren't 6 feet or higher. That is a relatively rare trait. And the amount of guys over 6 feet who make over 60k is even rarer. Yet most women want these guys. How can this work? That depends on what you mean by "want". Most guys "want" a billionaire 19-year old supermodel. It doesn't mean that's where they place the bar. I think most women want what I wrote in…

I really like the point about deal breakers you mentioned. I one time was with a girl that we both were really into each other, and were cooking food at my place. I recently moved and for some reason or another didn't have a can opener, which was something absolutely tiny but probably planted the seed in her mind that I'm not a functioning adult as a week later her parents gave me grief on it (who doesn't own one??) and soon after that she broke things off. Yeah - stuff like that can happen. You…

I'm not going solely on this but there was an OK cupid chart which showed men pretty much rated women on an even bell curve of attraction indicating they had a more realistic view of how attractive women were with most women being average, some being unattractive and some being attractive which is how you'd expect averages to work mathematically. Women on the other hand rated most guys as unattractive, some average and only a few as very attractive. That's just going on looks though. It's not ju…

Who is to decide what value is? Your biology, as well as the culture which creates the setting in which resources can be utilized. So lets say a woman who makes 40k a year wants a man who has at least double her income, like many japanese women, is she being picky because she wants a man who is double her value? Depends on what she's offering in return. If she wants someone who earns twice her income, yet doesn't compromise on anything else - yes that's obviously picky, she's asking for more tha…

Leaving on a high note is the only thing I can get behind. No need to let bad emotions brews. I thought so for a long time. I'm going to have to disagree with this. Women are very picky. What they find "attractive" could be a ridiculous standard. It is very common for a woman to overvalue her SMV which leads to her not finding men attractive who would be nearer to her actual SMV. If she is 5'6,she may want a man who is taller than her. Which means she is cutting out all men below 5'6, which is a huge part of the population. I don't think wanting a taller man is being picky. The average man is around 10-15cm taller th…

It is interesting that mental illness is so easily discarded as a worthy discussion topic on incel subs and everyone goes straight to blaming and talking about looks. Well, obsession with looks is a mental disorder. It's called body dysmorphic disorder. I'm not that convinced that everyone on the incel forum has a mental disorder. I saw a poll recently indicating that 20% of Norwegian 25 year old men were virgins. This is not comparable to the prevalence of mental disorders. And I've worked in a…

You say this like it's a woman thing, but I've had male roommates agree to a system and then just never fill out the sheet.... so it in effect was pointless. You just nag them about filling out the sheet instead. Don't get me wrong - I've had male roommates like this as well. A lot of men are just lazy. But a lot of women create their own world of stress by refusing to let anyone else have a say in how anything should be done. They just assume that everyone around them should intuitively underst…

Well obviously you have to use the system in order for it to work. A boat isn't the "end all" system for crossing a lake if you just sit on the ground either. Systems of accountability give you a concrete way to discuss housework, in contrast to the idea of "mental load" which is completely useless.

Next time women complain about mental load, better remind them it's perceived and no one is forcing it on them. Yeah, I think this also applies to ideas like women feeling pressure to look good etc. Externalizing internal mental states.

The only RP idea that I really agree with is that women are hypergamous, if you believe the definition of hypergamy is just that women are only sexually attracted to men who believe have a “high value” quality in their mind, compared to men who can still be sexually attracted to a woman who is his inferior in every way. I think that it would be fairly easy to convince any Blue Piller that, in general, men and women are different in this way. What would you regard as "high value"?

He actually has to be the prize for this to work. If he's not, it's actually the worst advice you can give to someone. I think it's pretty vague advice tbh. How exactly does "The prize" act? As I wrote above - I think this dynamic is much better recreated by making her act as if you're the prize by chasing you. Some PUA advice (leave on a high note, don't bee too available etc) is legit in this regard. I think that by building up tension (lots of physical flirting), not revealing full interest i…

I get what you're saying. When you start attempting to reduce relationships to stuff like "Displaying dominance" or "dread game", it gives a bad gut feeling. If you read what I'm saying here though , emotions are a key part of how I think dating works.

Given how fickle women can be, how they can appear to be all over you only to withdraw for some arbitrary reason because you did some exotic detail wrong (or because she met something she considered hotter), you're shooting yourself in the foot if you put all your eggs in one basket. I think the speed that modern dating has is the main culprit behind this. It takes most women again about 2 months to develop feelings for someone. If the relationship is moving forward faster than that, she suddenl…

This is pretty much my experience as a 6-8 male. OP says you can instinctively tell your "league" but it seems women have a different idea about league altogether. What makes you think this? And to clarify: You can instinctively tell what league you belong to when you've made yourself presentable. If you've got a bad haircut and terrible style, girls will still look at you because your face is attractive to them. But they won't date or hookup with you until you make yourself presentable. Girls w…

partially agree. but the concept of "leagues" is just a shit test really. too many times I've been rejected in favor of guys who were much uglier because they had better game I think it's a separate issue if you're talking ONS or actual dating. This is my impression of reddit as well. A lot of "left"-leaning (I say "left" because they don't seem all that concerned with socioeconomic issues as compared to intersectional feminism or whatever) users seem to be moving to conquer certain subs, passively repeating whatever ideological rhetoric they've picked up and notoriously downvoting any comment that shows even the slightest deviation from their ideology. Women will tell men, in different ways, that their way is best so men figure that she must like being an expert at this stuff. She feels overwhelmed but won't say anything so she suffers in silence and resentment builds instead of doing the mature thing and talking about it. But you could do with a dash of rp's "you are the prize". Which to me just means that you think you're a good catch. Also, people, including women, are fickle. You can do everything 'right' and still not be able to keep dating the woman you want. She might be already burning a flame for someone else and there's nothing you can do about it. I agree with respecting yourself and having some boundaries (a woman who didn't do BJs wouldn't be very interesting to me, unless I could manage to change her mind of course.). I mean , usually you know if there are deal-breakers with a woman pretty early on. I’m not saying communication isn’t also important. Or that people shouldn’t also communicate when they feel they’re pulling too much of the load. I’m simply saying that you should already be actively trying to be pulling the load without waiting to be asked. Oh I agree with that. But again, my point is: She(comic lady) didn't choose a man who does that. And she's expecting him to think like a woman (carrying a mental load). Your looksmatch won’t be interested unless you pay for everything. How does a 6-8/10 man and woman look to you? Nah, more like I'm saying don't make any sort of commitment to a girl (unless discussed and agreed upon) unless you've been consistently dating her for at least a couple of months. Not dating too frequently to begin with means that if you have sex with some of the women you're dating you're not really involved enough for it to be a major issue. Sure. I mean, as long as you don't completely change the subject when you interrupt (by telling a story about yourself, "That reminds me!"), very few people will really mind if you interrupt in a way that contributes to the conversation. When I saw this comic I wondered why she waited for things to fall apart, why she never planned ahead or asked hubby to keep an eye on the kids instead of suffering in silence until things fell apart. Feeling ownership over various tasks is a huge part of this -- the person who has the higher standards tends to take ownership, so the other person backs off so as not to encroach on their territory. Then the person who has taken ownership gets resentful, but it's not like they were asked to take ownership to begin with. Exactly. And what's going on in the comic is that the women who are complaining expect the men to intuitively understand their high standards, and to understand when they requir…

My point is that you’re laying too much of the blame on women. I don't really think this is a cause of "Team women" vs "Team men". I think all men should strive to see their partner, help them and create a home where they share responsibilities and chores equally. However, if you see yourself in this comic, you did not choose a man who does this. And if you believe the theory of "Mind load", or "mind burden" (forgot which it was), you are attributing a personal problem to a societal one, and you…

It can be an excuse to avoid having to tell the guy what about him she doesn't see a future in. It can also simply mean "I gave him a chance, I don't feel attracted". Once I read that men and women simply perceive the world differently: while men have a more focused vision, women have a more "peripheral" vision. Which means that men happen to zone in on a particular goal and are able to blind out the rest while women have a much harder time doing so. This aligns very well with me personally. I see it as both a strength and a weakness - and as one of the reasons why men and women complement each other both in the workplace and in relationships. The other probl…

There are many aspects of a relationship that require communication. But none of your examples fit this. What sort of person doesn't know that cooking dinner takes a lot of work, and is easier with two people chipping in? When my partner is cooking dinner, and I have time and am around, I'm right in there with them offering to help proactively, because I WANT to help. But that's not what's happening in the comic. When you have a LTR/marriage, you are essentially becoming a team. You are agreeing to be supportive and helpful of one another's desires, so that both of your lives become easier. Yes. Both nice guys and nice girls "finish last". However counter intuitive it might sound - I think the main issue with nice guys/girls is that they lack empathy and active listening skills. They care a lot about other people, but they don't understand them. For instance, a typical "Nice guy" might not understand that a woman enjoys being called out or teased by men (as most people with confidence do). Similarly, he fails to see that the same woman may be hurt or insulted by a man giving his ho…
