His father is equally a piece of shit. Could have said no and told his son.

What she lie about?

Could you elaborate on the other woman? Dating is daunting after a divorce. So thinking that will knock Some sense into me.

Ex wife left me essentially because I was fat. She thought she could do better. She ended up packing on a good 30lbs+ and ended up with another fat guy that looks like he smells (seems like a nice dude though) - I lost 100lbs, got jacked, got promoted and get dates with some pretty good looking women that I would have never imagined in my life getting.

Gym. Get jacked and simply upgrade.

Grant her the divorce. You’ve given her complete control of your life I’m guessing. And you probably don’t even realize it.
/r/Divorce_Men26/05/23 06:25 PM

You served your purpose. You gave her a child and a babysitter. Now go get your fucking money.

My favorite sub. I’m over 2 years since my divorce. Absolute straight shooters here. Helped lift me out the hole I was digging myself.
/r/Divorce_Men10/04/23 01:29 AM

Easy answer as men. It’s the gym like many mentioned. I got ridiculously jacked. Just been hammering the gym for a couple years now.

Damn man, you are white knighting for a woman that just ripped your heart out and has had multiple affairs. You need to reevaluate how you view things in life. You’re a doormat. Time to man up.

Why do you think she’s refusing to sign?

Renting is the better option? atleast you could walk away with something even if it’s split in a divorce rather then tossing away money in rent. Think the issue here is he sold his house that he owned prior to marriage. He tangled what was his to what is now theirs in a new property. Big mistake.

Took me two years. And from time to time I’ll let it hurt me still. It sucks, but I’m in such a better place without her in my life. It gets better dude.

You didn’t mention an AP a few weeks ago when i read your post. This a new revelation to explain the divorce? And the AP ain’t a Marine is he?

I’m sorry if you are in counseling after 9 months, this isn’t a relationship worth keeping. This is very troubling to put yourself through that after a divorce.
/r/Divorce_Men26/09/22 06:46 PM

What is her reasoning to fight you on 50/50? What’s she saying to the court? (Aside from money which is the real reason) You sound like a great Dad.

Child Support. You getting any financial support in the mean time?

Is that in a email, the blackmailing? If you have it in writing this would favor you immensely going forward I would think.
/r/Divorce_Men26/08/22 02:35 AM

Not helpful but please feed my curiosity. What the fuck was she doing with her money then? How she get away with not contributing for 7 years? If she saved that shit, you go for half.
/r/Divorce_Men14/08/22 04:10 AM

And when he tells her he doesn’t want to work things out, she’ll be fucking crawling back.
/r/Divorce_Men06/08/22 05:30 PM

You divorce her and accept nothing less than 50/50. Get a good lawyer and don’t give her anymore than is required. She has no respect for you.
/r/Divorce_Men01/08/22 05:38 PM
2

Yes I can relate. My ex has been with a few guys I’m sure since she left. She went from maybe 6/10 down to a 4 or so at best post divorce. While I went from a 2/10 to a 7-8/10, and can pull most women from these dating apps. But I still hurt. I chose her. She opened the door post divorce, and I shut it closed. Yet I still hurt. Think they call this trauma bonded. I miss seeing my kid regularly, I miss the unrealistic thought of what being with my ex would entail. It eats me up inside.
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/22 10:40 PM

How long was this marriage? How did you find out about her history, did she tell you?
/r/Divorce_Men22/07/22 06:35 AM

Fuck that, look at her resistance to you being with your son. If it goes to court, you should absolutely get some reduction.

Honestly, I believe i lack it. Almost 10 years I was emasculated and neutered by my ex wife. Doesn’t matter how jacked I get if I act like a giant vag.

I also haven’t dated in 12 years, much different now how dating is now as well as I’m in my mid 30s. I’m going to have to take a break, reset and work on myself a bit more. Because I’m missing the mark badly on who I’m asking out.
/r/Divorce_Men19/06/22 09:19 PM

A bit yeah. Some of them I can tell been dating for years. Looking for the perfect fucking man. Serial daters. Or their dream Cowboy.

How well is it for your dating life? You conventionally attractive too?
/r/Divorce_Men19/06/22 08:48 PM

I believe this. Two of these dates were very specific they wanted a “Alpha” … I’m good, not going to identify myself with those tools.
/r/Divorce_Men19/06/22 08:02 PM

I’m proud of what I do, specifically Forklift repair. Have a service truck and Travel all over where I’m at. Now dating is making me question that which is just fucked man.
/r/Divorce_Men19/06/22 07:47 PM
9

Right, I can get dates with good looking successful women. But can’t break past the first date. Not like I misrepresent myself. They all know I have a kid, what my job is and I look exactly like the pictures i post. 1 gal was super into me but she had no car… so no thanks. But like you, minus retiring at 40 which is badass dude, I’m about to delete these apps and continue the gym life. I’m training to be a bodybuilder. But thank you for the kind comments.

I’m a 6’1 and 245lbs jacked muscle man with a full head of hair and nice jawline. I think the problem I have is I got a young kid and I’m just a mechanic. Everything is so superficial.

I just hopped back into dating after 2 years myself. Been at it a month, 6 dates 6 different woman all very attractive. And i tell you what, it’s going to shit. They get a little validation from me then their gone. Several times ghosted. You’re not missing out on much. It’s been nothing but a gut punch and a hit on my confidence.

Do you know how long they’ve been together? I would absolutely get your daughter to stay where she is comfortable. But I would definitely be digging into the why. I would guess is the issue is probably with the son. She needs to able to be safe in any home she’s in.

I was fat. Lacked communication and was messy. Messy being a dish in the sink or socks on the ground. Good enough reason for ex to firebomb the marriage and split a toddler between two homes.

My 4 year old does this when my ex wife picks up my daughter from her Nanas (she watches her when we both work during the week) - full of I hate you, I’d rather live at Nanas etc etc. So sounds about 4 to me… he’ll grow out of it and enjoy his moms. He needs her too.

I’ve been banned from dead bedrooms and coparenting. Haven’t got the boot from Divorce yet. Noticed one post asking a question to those that initiated. All the women that commented said their wasn’t another person. Big fucking doubt on that shit. Sure some of them didn’t have someone they had an eye on, but cmon.

Key is consistency. Make a promise to yourself, Go 4-5 days a week, track everything you eat (MyFitnessPal) and hit it hard. Never give up. Anything is in reach when you put your heart into it.

I lifted and did cardio with a calorie deficit. I did lose about 30lbs the first couple months, then it slowed down. Even with dieting and cutting weight, you need to lift. If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it. You’ll cut a lot of weight, muscle and fat. Lifting while dieting mitigates that. So he’s wrong for suggesting lose the weight first. Plus you can gain muscle even when trying to lose weight. Your got fuel all over your body to feed your muscles.

Come from a large breed on my dads side. Lineman in HS, to Marine that just chucked artillery rounds because I was big. I work as a mechanic. So always been physical in one way or another. My health spiraled out of control during my marriage. My fault and my decisions. But the ex wife didn’t make my life any easier that’s for sure. I put it all together post divorce. Made it my identity. My hobby. Set goals. And told myself to never give up. And it’s done wonders for my life.

That is quite a different line of work from what you are doing. I don’t do HVAC, but similarly I do Field Service as a Mechanic. So like HVAC, I have a service van. It completely takes away my ability to do pickups/drop offs before work or after. Plus, hours can be inconsistent. You’re done for the day when the job is done essentially. So weekdays are pretty much a no go for me and I don’t make enough for a nanny. Sat-Tue sounds like a decent chunk of time for me. But I get it, you want more. Ju…

My ex made me feel that way about a life without her. She talked and treated me like a child. Absolutely no respect as I worked two jobs so she can be a stay at home mom. She expected to be on a pedestal and I obliged. She really believed she can come back whenever it was convenient to her. First few months was despair, I’ll never find someone. Then I asked myself why? Under this fat man is a good looking dude. Time to change that. So I devoted myself to self improvement. To be a better father, …

Funny you mention mattress. I’m a big guy, 6’1 and my healthy weight is 250lbs. I’m a mechanic… my ex wife was adamant about not spending money on an mattress. Best we could do with my money was basically 300$ mattress off a back of a pickup. Horrible back pain for years. Sinking in constantly. Post divorce, got a firm as fuck bigfig mattress, was so damn firm I had to add a 1.5 topper, it’s like heaven now. So proud of my damn bed. So, I’ll say a mattress was the big first thing.

But you need to have some self respect and regain your dignity and say “NOPE!” Because she’ll just fucking do it again and you’ll be even older then… It’s tough, it’ll be tough for awhile. So much healing ahead of you. Keep plowing ahead with the divorce. Don’t even think about other women, think about yourself and your kid right now. Priority now should be how you can be …

I was banned on that same sub. Woman was denying a guy bring his GF to meet his newborn. While the woman already living with a new guy. Called bullshit on that.

Zoloft doesn’t get you high. So no on that. Adivan yes. But you didn’t cite anything she’s done with the medication that warrants “abuse” other than taking it and I’m assuming prescribed. Some pretty damn inspiring stuff to read. I’m about a year post divorce, and it still fucking hurts. The women still torments me via my 4 year old daughter, it fucking sucks. But post like these, wether I want to believe it or not, Is why I’m in such a great point in my life. Great job, nice house, beautiful daughter, muscles coming out of my ears. Man, with all the over-reaction to this shit going on. No way in hell a court will give you custody based on her fears of Covid. Might not even be a fear, but a weapon to control you. My Narc ex used COVID to try to mitigate me going to the gym, hysterical about me taking her to the gym day care on my days. Why? Because I’m getting ripped why she has packed on 50lbs….

My daughter is 3.5, and she did this and still does this. My ex did a excellent job at hindering my ability to have a relationship with her the first 3 years. She also tell my ex she wants to be with me, when she is with her. So really don’t take this personally. She is young and misses her mom. I brushed it off, I don’t take it personally, and I tell myself each time I’m with her I try to outdo myself in dad of the year department. Making memories… i have a lot of work to do, I need to be a bet…

I’m 35, with 3.5 year old daughter and about a year into the divorce, so similar shoes. I get her about 2.5 days a week. Women want to do that package deal shit, well I’m a package deal. Better these prospects are open about that early on. I’m more the open to being with a woman with a kid or two, as long as I don’t have to be the financial anchor. Not really a supp, but medication. Depression, Confidence, Weak dick, self worth. All kinds of shit. I always recommend keeping on top of your health and hormones. Bloodwork yearly. Many natural ways to increase T too. TRT is a lifelong commitment. Anyways, all my stuff I find on Amazon Amino Acids - Optim…

I’m curious on this too. 4 sessions for like 700$ with my insurance to sit down with a therapist. Nah. I’ll just do an extra set at the gym.

I went to the gym and never stopped going. When I have my daughter I emphasize that I need to be the best damn Dad I can be, even as I heal. I track my meals, distracts the mind and gives structure. I already have my career, I have my home, I have my daughter. What I never had, was a happy me. So I created a goal, a personal goal. To be a healthy and happy man. To learn to have self respect and dignity. To never have turn away from a mirror because I’m ashamed at what I look at. A lot of pain an…

My old HS sweetheart is a whore, blowing a random in an apartment spa type whore. I was simping hard to get her back, had sex while she was still with another simp. She wasn’t sure who’s baby it was, so she had an abortion. Year later she got cancer, then chemo and can now never have a kid.

Guy I was serving with in Afghanistan… Dude gets divorce papers sent to him overseas, his STBX joins this mini wannabe sex cult, they mutilate and dump her body by a lake. He gets sent home because it’s still his dead wife.

Reddit was a great start for me, reading stories, relating, realizing that I’m not the only one. Time and self improvement was the best route I took. Focusing on hobbies, working out, dieting, home improvements and most importantly try being a better father everyday if that applies to you. I honed on the working out and just went ahead and made it my hobby. I’m addicted as fuck. I was like you and would have done anything to get her back. This sub and others help me take the blinders off. I’ve c…

It’s tough. My ex is a controlling narc who wants me back. So I have to Grey rock the whole thing because everything out of her mouth is a game. And I think she keeps putting thoughts in our 3 year olds head about mommy and daddy.

I’m ultra sensitive to the idea of cheating. My high school sweetheart ended up blowing some guys in a spa at an apartment complex. Crushed me, scarred me. Ended up joining the Marines because of it. I never accused my ex wife of cheating nor acted overbearing or distrustful. Problem i had is I thought she was different then everyone else. Only now, post divorce I am damn certain there was infidelity. Only logical reasoning I can come up with for why she didn’t destroy me in the divorce. And she…

Cause I was with a narc too. And like you, 50/50 no alimony and no child support. Reading these subs, after the fact i think she cheated. Because she could have asked me to walk off a bridge I would have said OK. Didn’t burn me for guilt? Didn’t burn me just in case she needs a plan b? Idk. But that’s spot on with the traumatic stuff.

It’s been godsend for me, wish I found Reddit and this sub when it all began. My divorce is finalized, she started it, the narc. Sub keeps me in line with ex, she’s trying lure me back in with her breadcrumbs and bullshit. Thank you Gray Method and Sub! Lol

Think it’s closer to 240lb lean mass. Was a Olineman in Highschool And chucked arty rounds for 4 years in military. Im about 10 weeks into TRT, so not quite juiced but getting there.. not ready for photos, give me 6mo I’ll be looking obscene. I’m built big. Size 13 feet, huge hands.. but I think I can get into the single digits at 270lbs. I’m going to try for it next year.

They call it a soapy. Very relaxing. In Thailand you pick your girl in audience seating behind glass, numbered. They take you to your roam, give you an excellent soap bath top to bottom. Fanfuckingtastic, then you do what you want. About 100 bucks in 2010.

Go to Auto trade school, change oil at jiffy lube while in school get a little experience turning some kind of wrench, then get into Forklift repair. Incredible demand across the globes. Crown, Raymond, Hyster, etc etc all dealers looking for techs desperately. Looking 20$ish to start. Gets as high as 40 depending on where you live. All kinds of advancement in the field.

Are you in therapy? Maybe that’s something you should consider, go the long haul with your known diagnosis. Time to pull up your pants, tighten that belt and take life by the horns. You aren’t even going to the unknown, countless guys here been through it. I tell you what though, the prize at the end is will always be YOU.

Been in pretty similar shoes, I’m slightly older and had close to the same body comp and alcohol issues as well. So here I go; 1) Dating should be completely removed from your mind right now. I rebounded, and it was humiliating. I was impotent, I wouldn’t have found out otherwise but it was a gut punch. From being overweight, the alcohol and the mental strain of the divorce. It was a bad move, but an eye opening one. That moment I knew I was in no position to date, realized the person I was with…
