Women in the US seem hysterically in favor of circumcision. I think it’s a combination of herd mentality, and in the case of at least some women I know, I think it is their unconscious desire to exert control over men at their most vulnerable.

My parents subscribed to the theory that boys should be given strong, sturdy names, and girls unique, pretty names. This is why I am named after a Biblical warrior and my sister’s name is a Scots patronymic. I am satisfied with my end of that deal.

As an outsider looking in on Orthodoxy, I also got the firm impression that its teachings, culture, and tradition form an effective counterpoint to cultural marxism, feminism, etc. I found this post relevant and interesting.
