sunk cost fallacy For both parties, yes. did you know that a lot of women actually don’t want to date inexperienced guys Yeah… lol.

Honestly I wouldn’t be upset. I am very practical and simply guy. If a group of people are statistically more likely to do something to me, it makes sense to be more worried and take extra steps to be carful. If men are more likely to molest(which is the case) I’m fine with it. I wish she wouldn’t lie to me about it though. It would only bother me if it stopped me from being a dad. Like my dad would take me to theme parks or movies when my mom was busy or didn’t want to do something. I would hat…

I’m sorry I didn’t understand the first paragraph. I don’t think that is good values though. There is things that hurts people doesn’t mean they have bad values? Are you saying I have bad values cause it saddens me if my future wife thinks of someone else?

Again this is where we differ. The idea that at any point my partner might think of someone else or miss something from someone else would break my heart. Just the thought of me missing my ex or missing a single thing of my ex when I’m dating someone or even worse married to someone… that would destroy me internally. I congratulate you for being strong enough to not care. I would definitely care

You are assuming they would be the worse for being their first. With time and patience anyone can gain that experience. All the experience that guy could have gained in past years he can gain with his partner. My whole argument is naive to believe you are your partners best, unless they are a virgin.. however I’m not saying you should be the worst and just stay that way. Let’s use a number ranking. There will be one person in your partners history that was 10/10 in any particular area. To assume…

We may differ there. I don’t deny feeling special for being with someone for long periods of time. But I would definitely feel even more special being the only one. In terms of timing? I mean you could say the same thing about anything. You say you have been with your partner for a decade, he is likely not the only person you could have loved for a decade or longer. There could even be someone better out there for you that you haven’t met. In terms of the money analogy. I’m not saying that I thi…

do you think the person is robbed for their ability to feel special… To feel a level of special? No. To feel special as in you are the only one that has had this, absolutely. be their best sexual partner? I find this incredibly naive. The reality is that just because you marry someone it does not mean they are the best. Many people believes their ex partner were the one, and then out of nowhere that partner broke up with them. But emotionally, they truly did love them and believed they were the …

what ifs I don’t think there is anything wrong with that? I don’t know what you are trying to imply here It can definitely be for nothing. I’m doing it for my partner. If my future wife doesn’t care then it was for nothing. I could have been having fun all my years but sacrificed it for nothing

That could be a strong possibility. But I would say that if she would rather be a more experienced.. she is probably more experienced which means she is not a virgin herself and would make her not someone I could marry. But even if she was, it would be a strong probability But I see what you are saying, you should forget about values and beliefs.. but rather look at it from a realistic perspective. Now I truly don’t know if most women would find a virgin guy unattractive. They certainly don’t fi…

…. Okay to be honest I’m either autistic or idk.. When you say the right thing to do depends on the individual… yes… for some individuals it will be you should wait, for other it will be you shouldn’t wait. Ergo, you have two groups.

? Doesn’t that personal thing fall into one of those groups? Like I’d assume we all fall into one of the two, you either think is important or not. By saying it’s a personal thing… yes.. it’s personal whether you fall into either of those groups

do it for yourself not for others? I wouldn’t stay a virgin for myself. I would rather have a bunch of sex and just find a virgin woman at the end how is would she know she is the best sexual partner? If I have not had any sex before, she is by default the best sexual partner I have had how do you miss sexual experiences? Maybe I am just crazy, but I feel like if I experience someone who is extremely talented at giving oral, if my future partner is so so, every now and then I might miss or remem…

I’m so confused on your comment. Why am I reflecting on the psychological pay offs? Cause the whole point of this post was to show that is pointless to debate this topic cause people won’t change their mind cause that is to change their whole outlook in life

I see! Well I disagree, I think it’s totally fine and not hypocritical. I would only see is as hypocritical if they said everyone should be college educated while them being the exception. Saying “hey for me personally I want X” I don’t think is hypocritical but hey, at least you were consistent!
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 05:48 AM
1

I don’t see your point. So now we are moving away from the “there isn’t a difference” to none of that matters. It’s not actually physical experience? I’m confused I’m sorry
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 05:46 AM
1

Would you say the same the other way around? I went to college but want someone who didn’t, is that also hypocritical?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 05:22 AM
0

Haha I would agree with that statement. It’s kind of like when someone or something tells you you need XYZ and then you work hard for XYZ and finally achieve that, but then you back to that someone or something and it’s not enough or doesn’t help you at all.. it feels very crappy. Please tell us exactly what we need.

If I didn’t go to college but want someone who went to college is that hypothetical? If I went to work but want someone who doesn’t work, is it hypocritical ? If I haven’t dated anyone but want someone with experience is that hypocritical? If you say yes to those, that’s fine. You can have that opinion, at least it would be consistent. I just don’t see how those are hypocritical. And thank you! Happy to hear you didn’t regret it, hope i don’t either

Oh I would say the difference is a guy who can’t get laid is a guy who not only is missing the sexual experience, but probably missing any good romantic or relationship experiences. If he was never able to get laid, it means no woman ever wanted to get that far.. he probably has some deep issues. While if it’s a guy that could get laid but didn’t, that means is a guy who without sex was good enough to have a relationship and get girls to want to sleep with him.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 04:31 AM

I agree with all but the last. I don’t think is hypocrite to want different things. I choose not to drink but want a wife that drinks. I choose not to spend money on myself but want a partner that spends money on herself. I chose not to go to college but I want someone who chose to go to college. I think it isn’t hypocritical but to each other own I guess

I mean by definition virginity is just someone who hasn’t had sex… so I guess in that sense is as much as a social construct as the word new? I appreciate your thoughts. To me the biggest fear is the amount of desperation and sadness I would get from knowing my gf or wife has slept with someone else. I’ve had nightmares of this. You say disappointment? I’m not expecting much other than knowing I am the only one that has done this with her and makes me feel special and safe, hopefully she feels t…

In this two scenarios it definitely would be time wasted. Let’s imagine both points of views. From the point of view of a virgin. Let say he is 35 years old and he hasn’t found the one and he is being told virginity doesn’t matter. That means if he agrees to this.. he would have to face the fact the past 20 years of his life in which he could have been having sex and enjoying himself and exploring were wasted not having sex(I don’t mean wasted like they did absolutely nothing, but like in the se…

I never said there was a problem with it haha. I’m saying that the whole debate is pointless cause this is an issue in which to change someone’s mind is to change their whole outlook in life and have them realize years of waiting or years of sleeping around were wasted

I’m very happy for your parents. I also think virginity doesn’t mean you will automatically be happy with your marriage, of course not. I’m simply saying that when anyone tries to debate this topic…. So you said you choose to stay a virgin because of spirituality and sexual/reproductive health. It sounds like spirituality and sexual/reproductive health are …

I’m very sorry… but isn’t this what I said at the very beginning? Like I made it clear and said “+ don’t shame those who didn’t do this(this being staying virgin)” you supposedly disagree with my first comment, yet I feel like you are describing exactly what I first commented. In terms of not judging your potential partner based on sex right off the bat. ….no. I’m not saying there is an objective truth. I’m saying for virgins to admit virnigty is bad or doesn’t matter, it is to admit their entire time waiting for marriage has been a waste of time. And for people with high body count to admit virginity matters is to admit they have done wrong and have wasted time. I’m not ever saying one is objectively right. I’m saying to convince one group of the other side is to change their entire outlook of life and make them see a sad “reality” of their cur…

According to Oxford, virginity is the state of never having sexual intercourse. Depending on your definition of virginity I guess males might not have virginity.. but if you use it like most people, which I would say is virginity= people who haven’t had sex, then yes a man can totally be a virgin. I don’t know what human import means, I’m sorry English isn’t my first language

I think there is a big difference with a man that can’t get laid and a man who can get laid and has refused. As I said, I had not 100s of opportunities but I have had a few, and have refused to them all. In terms of the orgasm he can learn. In terms of the security and entertainment.. I don’t think you need past sexual experience for that.

I don’t think I ever said male virginity means shit. I said that most men here defending their beliefs of wanting a virgin wife are not even virgins themselves. At least as a guy struggling, what do I want? To stop lying about what yall truly want. Maybe it’s just miscommunication but when I hear what someone “wants” it means to me that is what I need to be to become desirable. But if I fulfil those things and it doesn’t get me what I was told, then it upsets me. I feel like I have been lied to. As a guy, I truly don’t believe they are jealous. I think they are legit concerned and with good reasons. However, I think that concern can often blind people. Though it is true a relationship with a big age gap is easier to become unhealthy, it doesn’t mean it will. There is plenty of relationship where one partner is way younger and the relationship was always amazing. I know people hate when I mention my own experience… my parents, when they started dating my mom was 16 and my dad was 32. The…

I understand that. But I feel like you are either saying accepting as in you should not care or have preferences over or vilifying… there is a middle ground. It’s not black and white. I want a virgin. I am a virgin myself. I am not religious. I just don’t want a girl with sexual experience. I don’t have to vilify sex to say I have a preference and believe people shouldn’t do this.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 02:04 AM

I don’t know. I think the healthier thing would be for people to not have sex unless they are married or in a very long term relationship + don’t shame those who didn’t do this. We can have an agreement that something is better and have no shame towards those that fail to fulfill that. Example: it’s probably best to not smoke or vape, probably best to workout, probably best to focus on education… now you can do all the negatives of that and not be ashamed for it, and at the same time understand …

My friend is a stay home dad but at this point they are old enough he says doesn’t do much at home. I think you can be informed on a subject without living it. I’m not saying you will know the ins and outs of it all. However, a person that is dating can be wildly wrong about how dating works.. even when they have experienced it.. and a person who has never dated but has been very observant of the relationship around them and look into them.. might be more informed than many people who have.

Maybe cause I am a man but I still don’t get it. I think my issue is with the wording sexual object. To me when I hear someone say they are being sexualized as a sex object… I mean I don’t think anyone thinks of women as objects. Now they might not care about your feelings which is horrible, but people not care about other people’s feelings all the time, doesn’t make it objectifying

That is I think totally the point. While is true that a fuckboy will change for the right girl.. you being the right girl out of all the girls he talks to is very meniscal likeliness. No I’m saying the opposite. I’m not saying each partner gets more attractive. I’m saying the opposite. Like do we really not have standards? who are this ugly women that can’t find someone they are extremely attractive to? They might not even be ugly. I personally would say there is a difference between having physical attraction and them being the most attractive person you have ever met. Maybe women and men are just wired differently here, but I can be in love, find my partner physically attractive, and still admit that she might not be the most physically attractive gf I’ve had or girl i have had a thing with. Important? Not really. Most men, including myself, that claim to want a virgin would probably put her sexual past aside if the girl was perfect. If someone find their perfect partner, I doubt they would let virginity affect their relationship. But for those men, again including me, I would much rather them be virgins. I think I could date a non virgin, I have in the past. But I will say through out the relationship I would feel devastated cause I would think of their past. But I figured it’s a p…

Ummm… listen.. if what you are trying to say is that a couple should never kiss their partner without asking if they have consent to kiss them every single time they go for a kiss.. that isn’t wrong. That is the safest thing to do. I don’t disagree there. But to say that they didn’t care about consent is a very wrong statement in my opinion. There is a difference between not caring and believing you have it. I don’t disagree that they should have asked, but I think a partner that goes for a kiss…

Well that is what I mean by accident. When I say accident is like they assume they had consent when they didn’t. Like kissing, most couples don’t ask permission to kiss.. but if they are kissing without asking, at any point he or she might go for a kiss even when the partner didn’t want to at the moment.. that would count as sexual assault on paper. I would call that an accidental assault

Well it depends on what you mean by rape. On paper any sort of penetration without consent is rape. So a guy kissing a girl and putting his tongue inside of her is rape. If a long term couple has never had a conversation about kinks and limits and the girl maybe wants to wake up the guy with a blowjob.. that’s rape but I don’t think she was thinking of raping him. Single parents which seems like anyone asking for child support was then categorized as single mother here.. less than 5% compared to almost 25% today. Again this was a quick scheme.. I’ll look I to this tomorrow.. but so far it does seem like before we had way less

The amount of single parent household that were legally married. Like I understand what you mean, but can we track that, do we have numbers. Or are we just saying oh yeah it did happen. Like I believe the before 1976 women couldn’t say no to their husband in terms of sex. So we can assume there were lots of married women who were raped. But we have no numbers, cause it’s not like there were reports, cause there was nothing to report, it was all legal. So do we have reports on what you claim or i…

I can definitely do that. Out of curiosity cause it’s too late to be reading information in detail.. I won’t remember anything. Okay.. that makes sense.. was there a way to track that? Or are we just making a smart assumption?

You know how lots of people go to Vegas and get married, or just make wrong choices
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 05:29 AM

Ummm you can educate me I am wrong. But we have stats on single mother households and it was significantly lower than what it is today. Is that not true?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 05:21 AM
6

Yeah.. ideally it would be a mix of both systems. One where you can divorce in case of abuse and child neglect and things like that.. but one where you can’t divorce just because you were drunk and made the wrong choice or were too reckless and young.. make it known that marriage is forever outside of those extreme situations and therefore shouldn’t be taken lightly
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 03:58 AM

If by perfect you mean that.. I can see that. When I hear perfect I mean your literal soul mate. You have a connection that you have with no one else. Makes you feel the way no one else has and no one will ever will. Has all the things you knew you wanted in a partner and even the ones you didn’t know you wanted. There is nothing about him or her that bother you. Nothing that annoys you. Nothing that you are like oh that is a flaw and it’s okay. Literally perfect. On that definition I continue t…

Well i don’t know if didn’t work is the right wording. People just stayed together cause it was inconvenient… we assume that.. we know there were some.. but do we know statistically how many or what percentage of those marriages were unhappy or bad marriages?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 03:53 AM

The liberation of marriage was good face value. Idealistically, people would still get married with the idea of fighting till the end, and only divorcing in extreme situations like abuse and child neglect. But realistically, it pushes people to not take marriage seriously, creating.. maybe not more but different issues like the fact a huge percentage of kids are without two parents, people not being able to hold a relationship, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 03:52 AM

No i do believe it exist. But tell me, do you believe most people end up with their perfect match? I would say if I were to guess.. most people end up marrying someone that is 30% perfect
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 03:41 AM

Oh 100% that is why I said extreme minority in my previous comment hahaha But Like I will be honest with you.. I know people here get all triggered and when they say perfect they are like well he isn’t perfect because he cheated… that is why we say perfect but. No one in this world is perfect. But if you are telling me that I have the ability to find my perfect gf.. that she is 99.99999% perfect but she will cheat.. I would be lying if I said I would drop her. I think most people end up marrying…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 02:59 AM

Haha I didn’t talk about poly people. I talked about people choosing the perfect partner even if they cheat
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 02:56 AM

Oh I agree. But your statement didn’t say it wasn’t good. Your comment said no one will. A lot people have… and I would say a lot of people will continue. Extreme minority now compared to before but a lot will continue
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 02:50 AM

People have agreed to this in the past
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 02:38 AM

I totally respect your boundary on this. But I think the way you answer sounds sort of naive. When someone says they are perfect but they do this.. the answer people always give he is not perfect because he doesn’t do that. Come on… let’s use another scenario you can have your dream house but in the suburbs(which in the scenario you don’t want) or an okay house In downtown(which in this case you want). To answer well it wouldn’t be my dream house anymore.. technically yeah.. but the question is …

Not in the sense of human value.. but definitely in the sense of hierarchy of power, responsibility, etc

I Guess the Word ínfero has a bad connotation. So for example, I’m inferior to my boss, in no way does that make a me a inferior human being, it doesn’t mean I’m dumber, it doesn’t mean I’m weaker, it doesn’t I’m less attractive, it doesn’t mean a lot of thing haha. So in a way, yes they might be hierarchically inferior, but it doesn’t mean dumber or anything like that

Don’t think this might be coming from a place of privilege? I’m going to use food as an example. If you know you can eat everything you want any second, you might wait, even starve yourself a little, for once the good delicious meal comes. However, for those people that never have anything to eat, they are starving, and they don’t know when the next meal might come.. so even if it’s not the best.. they will take it because they have no idea whether a better meal, or any meal for that matter, is …

Here is my take on that. Can men and women be friends? Absolutely. 99% of the time do the men want to have sex with you? Absolutely. But just because he wants to ravish you, doesn’t mean he can’t be a friend.

Well what I am asking it’s what’s on my last post. Less than 40 words but if that is too much for you that is okay. I will say it’s contradicting to say that each man has different set of values but then say she is at the booth of the barrel. If you believe she is a low value women objectively, not just to you, then you believe there is a set of standards that are universal, at least to men from this community that, that would make her the bottom of the barrel. What? That doesn’t answer the question. What is it that makes a woman valuable through men’s eyes? I don’t think whether she would stay with a rapist or not makes it higher or lower.

I don’t think we are listening to each other. You said “that is my point though”… meaning you agreed with what I said above. What I said above is that there is a difference between owed and expectation. Owed is when there is a contract. You are right, no one made a contract therefore is not owed. Expectations does not need a contract, so anyone can expect anything
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/23 02:45 PM

I would say your example of lending money is way different because there is an agreement. When a man takes a woman out on a date, there is no agreement of sex or anything other than showing up and attempting this date. Lending money is an agreement between two parties, that is why it is owed. You are not only expecting the money back, but you have an agreement the money is owed and will be paid back. That is the difference

You can be a man seeing it through a woman’s eyes. Can you answer that question Can you please tell me why a woman like that would be a bottom of the barrel woman? To be honest I feel bad that you see them in such a dark light. If you have talked to any woman, you know there was plenty of amazing women dating bad men. It definitely happens both genders in different ways. For a man is about being good to get the opportunity. For a woman, is be good to pick the right man. Fundamentally very different. But even at that point, you did exactly what a lot of incels do, give up and go the other side. You gave up and had a phase of partying and sleeping around. For men, what you experienced as a Im giving up, is what they are trying to achieve. By the way, I’m not saying that should be the goal of men. I’m just expla…

I don’t consider myself an incel. And the only reason why I don’t think I feel into that blackhole is because I had a very strong father figure. I can totally see why many men become incels. The frustration that no matter how good you follow the rules and you do what is right doesn’t get you anything good is extremely frustrating. Get women as in date them, having sex, etc is what I would assume. Which again doesn’t change the fact that expecting and owing is different. No one’s owes any one love, sex, being nice, anything. However, we all expect if we are good human beings and we work hard, we expect we will find love, sex, and people be nice to us, doesn’t mean we will get it, doesn’t mean it’s okay for men to explode and assault when they don’t get it.

I’m confused. So people who don’t need much in life, just a pretty girl that loves them and is willing to have lots of sex with them, those men are actually happy with themselves? ”well, women are like that” Well let me ask you. I believe you said when you met a jerk, you met a jerk, but when everyone you meet at jerks, you are the jerk. How would you explain this to men? I think the difference in regards to the post is that in our society, good actions should be rewarded and bad actions should be punished. This is why when a company doesn’t appreciate your efforts people stop working as hard, they are not rewarding you, sometimes even punishing you. Same thing with friends, sometimes the better friend you are, the worst you get treated. When someone feels like they are doing everything right, and they are not getting rewarded for that time and time again, maybe …

Then why? I’m not entirely sure. It could be because of society, culture, the fact they put lots of effort, I don’t exactly know that is another conversation. But that isn’t the point of the conversation. The point is expectation and owing someone something isn’t the same. what is the difference? I explained the difference. Owe is when you must do something. No one must be nice to you. No one must give you a dollar if you are homeless and you are asking for money, no one owes the money. There is…

I will change it to laws. Rules is harder to make a difference even when there is one you are right. Expectation isn’t the same thing as laws. Rape, assault, is violating the law. I 100% that the things you listens, is he showing attraction, etc are more important than I am a 4/10 and I must date another 4. However, when I say that men are better than this, is that men are better at looking themselves at the mirror and being honest with themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 08:46 PM

then technically no one owes anything No. Once you live in a society, there is certain rules that you must obey by otherwise you can be kicked out of that society. A great example of this is immigrants. They must follow certain rules otherwise they get kicked out. Taxes, jail time if don’t something wrong, all of those are rules you must obey, otherwise a bigger force will do it for you. face the consequences of saying no No. This is where again the rules of society comes in. I will be honest, I did not know the exact definition of rightfully but I just looked it up “in accordance with a legitimate right or claim to property, position, or status.” You can tell me if I am wrong, but I think a waiter has a rightful expectation of a tip in terms of claim to position or status.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 07:43 PM

I don’t see anywhere where OP said women owe them sex. I do see the men expect to be able to get women at their level. I don’t see how that is the same. The argument I give is if you go to a restaurant, the waiter expects a tip. Now even if he does the most amazing job as a waiter, if for any reason you don’t give a tip, you don’t like their hair, the way their voice sounds, maybe their personality, or their looks, whatever, it’s okay. You don’t owe them a tip, but they do expect it.

To defend his comment(not him because I don’t know what he personally believes), his comment didn’t say exactly what you quoted. He said women don’t owe sex, but that men do expect girls at their level or below it. Now, maybe this is where I might differ from OP. To me expect is very different from owe. When you go to a restaurant, the waiter expect you to tip, but you don’t owe him a tip. He might have done everything perfectly, but if for whatever reason, you just don’t find him attractive, yo…

Owe and you expectations are very different things I think. Like a waiter in the USA expects you give them a tip, but you don’t owe them a tip. If they do a good job and so one, it’s okay to expect that tip, but if the client decides to not give the tip it’s okay too! Will the waiter get mad? Probably. Should he get mad? I don’t think so but its understandable.

Though I do think society pushes women’s value to be determined by their beauty and fertility, I believe to be able to change that you have to provide something better. I will say that is a fine argument. It could very well be the case that I’m not a good farther. But, can you admit that that man could be very well suited to be a parent, but also wants to marry someone who is suited to be a parent? Again, I don’t disagree that it is a possibility. However, I failed to see the connection. Perhaps I am miss reading this or perhaps it could be worded better. I agree with you that it can be immaturity, but I don’t think safe can’t mean settled for. As a man, I would marry someone who would make a good mother over someone that I was crazy for. I would see that as settling. I’m not going for the person that will make me the happiest but I am going for the safest option. Or would you say that going for the safest option is never settling?

Thank you! I think this is a juicy one too! Hoping we will get more replies! And feel free to answer if you want. If you feel like you settled, not because there was someone better before, but maybe because you think there could have been someone better after, that’s fine too!

Dude you are fighting your demons here and we are not here to help you with that. In terms of men don’t want to be settled for I don’t disagree. No one wants to be settled for. I never said that. I said I don’t think it’s bad. What do I mean by that? I have a feeling most men end up settling. It sucks for women, they don’t want to be settled for either. Okay this is coming out of nowhere.. sounds like you are trying to fight your demons here…. But either way.. I don’t think is necessarily bad for the men. But also keep in mind most men are settling too. If something I would say more men settle than women. So if you are to say that settling is bad for the person who was settled for, it’s not just for men but both genders. Either way, I don’t think it is bad. Specially if they are not aware of it

I think you could make the argument that lots of women in those divorces did settled at first, some didn’t and the man did change, but some, I’ve sure met some, their husbands were the same from day one but realized they deserve better than the way they were being treated. I don’t see your point. I still don’t believe it’s good for either sex to be sleeping around. I agree that women don’t want virgins. I don’t see women lining up to date virgins men like men are. I wish more women were attracted to the fact a man was a virgin. I agree, they usually don’t. However, that still does not change the fact neither is damaged goods and it’s not good for either go be having casual sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 10:56 PM

No actually I don’t think either are damaged good. I also don’t think men should be sleeping around. I don’t think either sex should be. And it’s not hatred for women. I’m saying I hear people make fun of women who claim to have high standards but also sleep around with guys. I don’t know why saying sex for free, which is accurate both on a literal perspective and figurative, offend you. And to be clear men also give sex for free, and that is just as bad

Well this again where I say “I might not have been on Reddit for long enough”. In my experience, if a girl is a virgin, hasn’t done much, men are okay with waiting for marriage. They do complain when women have given sex for free to guys at the bar and now are making guys wait or are being too picky when they were sleeping around with random people they didn’t even know. It matters a bit. I would have to search up the study since I don’t have it with me, but as I remember the educational background of the mothers is a huge factor in the development of the kid. If the dad has or does not have a degree, it doesn’t change anything. But if a mom has a degree, it significantly increases the likeliness the kids will go to college. So it matters a bit. Well there is a difference between mundane, boring and difficult. Pregnancy for example, the fact that a woman was able to create life. That is pretty freaking amazing. Celebrating anniversaries? I think it’s way easier to buy let’s say a home than having a long lasting healthy marriage. Something to celebrate. Someone who has had problems with alcohol, 5 years is good to celebrate But I do see what you mean, I think it’s more about difficulty and also perhaps social meaning

Well I guess maybe I’m might be wording wrongly. When I get up in the morning and I weight myself and see myself losing weight, I am I guess proud, happy. However, I think showing it off or showing being proud of losing a pound it’s funny. When I bought my first property, I was proud. But I hated to show it off, cause I always thought it was pretty easy to do. It was time consuming, but easy. When I say being proud is funny is when they are clearly showing off that proudness for basic things
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/23 03:50 PM
-2

The part of being proud again, I don’t mind. Specially in situations like this. But again, the action it self is funny to be proud of. The fact that he was homeless and he is growing out of it, not funny at all and it’s something to be proud of.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/23 03:46 PM

Let me first say that you are 100% right. I come from a very privilege background of having 2 amazing parents. I want to clarify I don’t think the trauma itself is funny. Of course not. Getting rid of their trauma is something to be proud of. But doing basic things I don’t think it is.

I ask in the first date. I ask about past bf, why they ended, what they found attractive, when the love started fading away, I ask about sexual experiences, etc. In your hypothetical that everything else is perfect I would totally give that person a chance and try to look past it. However, if she is not a virgin, I find it hard to believe that our values would alone

I have problem with your statement of understanding and knowing how to deal with your baggage. I guess to put myself as an example, I was raped when I 9 by a family member. In a way, this is some baggage that I have I guess. I don’t need nor want a partner that understands this nor knows how to deal with it. Well you do see more women dating wrinkly men than men dating wrinkly women. But I didn’t mean just about wrinkles. I meant more about the whole subject. It makes sense to not want a wrinkly partner, it makes sense to not want a partner with baggage, it makes sense to not want a partner with a lot of sexual partners, etc.. you don’t see lines of women fighting for the young, no baggage, no sexual experience, about to start their life man
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/23 08:03 AM

Well I don’t disagree those women exist. I’m simply saying it is logical to want a partner will less baggage. So for a men to want that isn’t wrong. And women should pick the logical answer and find less baggage. But as we can see, we dont always go for the logical answer. I’m simply stating that sadly, there is no point on talking about men’s baggage cause it doesn’t seem to matter to most women.

I think that is a good question to ask women. I personally will always want a younger and hopefully even virgin girl. Sadly, when I hear women talk about their preferences, they often don’t want to date younger guys or virgins guys. I think that both men and women should want younger virgin partner. However, me as a man can’t tell women what they should find attractive. I can only talk about what men find attractive and what I observe women find attractive even if I disagree with it

I think this is a great point! This is something that often isn’t talked enough. The reality is that the argument about baggage and past trauma and so on happens to men too. Instead, I think people are saying the vast majority of men are good men. Only a small amount are bad. And this is true for both sexes. A woman who wants to be a stay home wife is not “lacking maturity” or has “little drive”. It’s just that what drives that person is different. Maybe her drive is to be the best wife possible. Maybe she doesn’t think, like many people belief, that working is everything in life and it’s only through a hood career that you can be fulfilled. I will admit that I can be wrong about the following. I think that we look at things very superficially. I don’t think it’s the making more money that makes them want to leave. If that person were to act the same way as someone who didn’t make any money they wouldn’t care. As in, it’s not that men care if they make more money, but rather girls that make more money, tend to have some personality traits that men don’t like. Our emotional intelligence, knowledge about life, religious values or lack there of, romantic values, family values, morality itself. That is what builds us. You are right I don’t! Just looked it up. I think men talk more superficial, but their action show less superficial while women tend to say less superficial but act more superficial. I guess it also depends on what you mean by superficial. To me, if you are not willing to date someone who doesn’t make any money at all, who lives with their parents, and such. To me that is superficial.

They love it! Don’t get me wrong. But the vast majority of men are happy with a job that pays enough for them to survive. I don’t deny that we want power. Who wouldn’t want to be the owner of Apple and have all that power. But we don’t want it enough for people to work their lives off to get it. Heck we don’t want it enough to even study, colleges are primarily women now days.

I think it’s hard for men to understand this since most men don’t do what’s they do for them? As a man, I can say I only work hard for women. Whether it is my mom, sister, my gf, future wife, and future daughters. I don’t workout for myself. I don’t study for myself. I don’t work my butt off for myself. We do it for women, or at the very least a group of men do. Those men find it hard to believe that women do it for themselves since they have never felt that themselves

I don’t deny that it is our doings. But just because something is our doings doesn’t mean it isn’t a problem. I would make the argument that there is plenty of evidence the age gap it’s on women’s on doing. That doesn’t mean it isn’t a problem still. You are thinking of it as a fight between men and women. I never said it is women’s fault men are more homeless. You said not women’s fault… I am aware. I never claimed that was their fault. Just like I don’t claim every women issue is men’s fault. …

No. Men do face some serious issues and to deny that it’s just crazy. Wealthy? Most homeless are men. Being a man has serious issues just like being a woman does too. They are different and I am not here to say who has it worst cause I don’t think it matters.

I’m not sure what you are arguing? Maybe I a made typo? I agree, people should work on themselves if not ready for a relationship. If you take sex out of the equation, it’s easier to work on yourself I think. Safe sex? I think with both know most people at some point or another are too honey and go raw bdsm I mean as bdsm as she knew how to get me without doing sexual stuff. Sexually? Yes. That is the most we did. Pt2 Social, I think the first thing is to get rid of the friends that do nothing for your life. I got friends that always got drama about how their best friend hurt them or they lied etc. first of all, why would you be friends with someone like that on the first place, second, why are they your best friends. So getting rid of people that are not pushing you to be your best is a first step to have a good social life in my book. On top of that, building confidence, working on conversation skills a…

what are those? In a relationship I think values are extremely important. Usually the people, in my experience, that do drugs tend to have some similar traits. They value happiness over everything or at least what I would consider more important things in life. They are not focused enough into building a life for themselves. They don’t have the best relationship. In the political spectrum we usually don’t match. What they find fun is very different to what I find fun. Different goals in life. Et…

Based on your argument, yes. But as I said before, I don’t think it’s bad at all to have moral attribute and want a partner that doesn’t follow that attribute. I think it only makes it hypocritical if I am saying everyone should be this way and I am not doing it myself. If I say, I know that me being like this makes me boring, I want to find a FUN person that wants me the way I am, boring. That to me doesn’t sound hypocritical. I’m also a workaholic. But I don’t want a workaholic partner.

As a man who is celibate and will only date virgins and I hate the way men use women for sex, I don’t think you are right. I get what you mean, and why you feel like that. But I think the simpler explanation is the fact that humans often have preferences that don’t equal to ourselves. You might be short but want a tall partner. My history in relationship, girls that have left me or cheated on me because they couldn’t handle the lack of intimacy that I gave them. And my friends feel bad for me and encourage me to just have sex. Enjoy my life. Be you…

I have a question. I mean this with no offense. The way you make it seem like is as if there is actually nothing to be insecure about. Yes she was prettier, but she was wayyy crazier. I have nothing to worry about because even though she is pretty, her craziness made it not worth it and that is why he is with me. So far, fair enough. However, wouldn’t that just prove that there is something to be insecure about. Yes, he found her more attractive. He decided to date someone less attractive, less …

My take on the matter its that is more about probability. Like I always tell my sister, don’t date football players, basketball players, hockey players, boxers, mma fighters, military. People who have high probability of physically abusing of you. So just like that, women often make the choice to pick qualities with high percentage of cheating. However, there is definitely times where a woman makes all the right choices, meaning she chose the qualities with the most likeliness of being loyal, an…

Well you would be right. I really do love this girl so if u found out she was only with me because I don’t know… she was divorced and on her late thirties and with kids and it’s a lot harder to find a man and she needed some stability… if I find out she has been having sex as a way of keeping me happy and in a lie. Yeah I would try to workout, perhaps remove sex from the equation, perhaps she is happy as long as we don’t have sex. Or something. Worst case scenario, then help her with the kids an…

Well I don’t think anyone deserves anything. We get what we can get and we desire what we want, hopefully that person falls in both categories. But most of the time I’d say it doesn’t. I would totally be fine living in a lie where she only picked me because she is done playing around with the fun dudes and wants someone that will giver her a more healthy stable life, even if there isn’t passion or even romanti or sexual love from her part. I’d rather live in a lie as long as I can believe it. Th…

I wouldn’t say it’s immature. I would say people have different priorities. I’ve met some people who want children but would never birth them, they only want to adopt. Some people are the opposite, they want to feel like they made someone.. they want to feel that kid is them(half at least) and if they want that, which is totally fine to desire this, it would be a big compromise to marry someone with kids. In terms of bills and hardships? I doubt people haven’t experienced that. It just so happen…

I mean. Some men would rather live in a lie. Some me are happy believing she finally realized how good he is and that she loves him. It’s definitely weird that it’s only with man you are romantically or sexually involved but hey, nothing wrong with being unique! In terms of aspiring to be with someone you are not attracted to, you are right. No one aspires to. However, I would say that it is way better to be with someone you might not want to sleep with, you might not have passion, but it’s someone that treats you right and makes you a better person and supports you and is healthy and makes you life better. Interesting! Not trying to prove you wrong or anything. I’m genuinely curious curious about this part of your personality. Well it doesn’t sound like it won’t work every time. In fact giving him a chance has nothing to do with the fact that she is, as you said, “crazy”. If she wasn’t a “nag”, as you said, it could have been a better situation. I say always give a chance as long as you seen them being a healthy net positive partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/22 01:20 AM
5

Well I don’t think it’s saying give a chance to someone you dislike. I’m sure you have lots of people you like as friends and can spend hours with and love them as friends but they are just not sexually or physically attractive to you.. they have what they need to be a great partner to you but just without passion and sex and perhaps love from the woman’s part(woman in this scenario based on OP story).

Yeah but men like this, myself included, would be happier at the fact they got the person they have loved for so long. Some of us rather live in a lie as long as that lie is our dream girl.

I think that’s what OP is saying. She failed with her first marriage the guy she actually felt passion and love for. She is now in a position of needing a partner and doesn’t have as many options now. She sees her old friend who has been in love with her for many years. He is a good guy. He is still single. He is still crazy for her. She might not like him like that, but she can talk to him for ours, depend on him, rely on him, have a healthy relationship.. maybe without love from her part.. may…

I would say it is fine to stay with them and better than choosing passion and fun but with a person that treats you bad, that is not good for you, that hurts you financially and emotionally, and doesn’t help you become a better version of yourself. I’m not sure what you mean? Are you saying I didn’t think of the ramifications of pregnancy? I mean I definitely think it’s a big risk and that is why on my earlier comment I mentioned I go more with the idea that people shouldn’t have sex until 25. If you mean that it is riskier for a 16 year old to get pregnant than a 40 year old. That I will admit to have no idea about. I know that if she is tiny like 9 or 12 yes. Well the underage thing is simply a law base. Socially created if you want. Most people in Europe are between 14 and 16 as age of consent. In North America is mostly 18. I would not be surprised if we were to increase it to 20 or 25 at some point. If that were to happen tomorrow would it mean any relationship of a 26 year old with a 21 year is wrong. I wouldn’t say so. But definitely illegal. I do however believe there is an age when they don’t understand it but rather want to do it because they…

Difficult questions to answer. I have two answers and I have not yet been able to make a decision on it. One option is 25. 25 is the age we know the brain stops developing. I follow this rule almost on anything. I am 21 and have never had a drink or smoked or anything. To be safe I won’t do any of that until maybe 30. Unless new evidence comes to light that we continue to develop until later. I don’t think people should be having sex until their brains are fully developed. So that was one option…

Some men are against this. However, I am not one of them. I can understand how sometimes it’s abusive. I was raped by my male cousin when I was 9. I would never say “good for them” or “lucky” just for having sex. Why was my situation bad? Cause I didn’t want it. He manipulated me, made me afraid of saying no, he even punched me. That was horrible. Now if I had been gay, if I had liked him and wanted to have sex with him and I had. Then I don’t think it would be bad. Other than the fact that he i…

It’s fine if you want to protect her. I’m not saying that’s bad. But you can’t be there 24/7. She has to go to the store, walk, go to work maybe, etc. you might not be there. Not only that, the years before she knew you, before she got you to protect her. Disadvantage.

From a biological perspective the pain of having to go through periods every month. Weeks of pain and mood swings that sometimes make it impossible to work. Having to deal with pregnancy. /r/PurplePillDebate16/10/22 06:52 AM

You are 100% right. And it works both ways. The problem is that to change a society, people have to make the sacrifice and start to make the change. Those people will probably suffer a lot but if they do it right, they will push more and more people to change and in a few generations will be what we are looking for
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/22 06:47 AM

So just to clarify. Your stance is as my understanding goes you say than a 20-25 year old. Has a bf or gf of 16+. Since 16 is the legal age in most places, but waits for her or him to be 18 to have sex with them. Not creepy because they are in a relationship and they like each other and as long as it’s not abusive or taken advantage of them good to go. Men or women purely waiting for someone to be of age for nothing other than sexual pleasure, creepy. Correct?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/22 03:54 AM

Well I don’t think it’s creepy to wait until the young person is of age. If something is the correct thing to do. A 16 year old and a 19 year old dating. He should wait until she is 18 or legal age at the very least to have sex. Why is that creepy? If you agreed, which you might not, with the idea that as long as nobody is being abused and taken advantage of, as clarified by the main comment we are commenting under, than it’s not creepy to wait. I think we all agree that a 50 year old dating a 1…

Well you mentioned how men who think like this don’t see women as people, that they don’t care about their feelings. the main comment was about “compatibility” and how the woman “loses so you can ‘win’s” I think it has everything to do with what y’all were talking about. This might be true. But I truly believe both can coexist. You definitely need to be compatibly in a lot of aspects. But I think compatibility can be found in every size, shape, age, and color of humans. We don’t just go for compatibility. There is plenty of people that I would be extremely compatible with but I just don’t find attractive. He may agree with you. He could be selfish in bed? True. Or he could be the most selfless person in bed and rock your work. I understand you don’t like it and you wouldn’t date him. I just think the word incompatible is not the right one. But I respect your opinion

I don’t blame her either. I do think it was a little hypocritical of her, since I know she complained about her exes pushing her for sex very early on and how they didn’t want to wait and it was all they wanted and if she didn’t give it to them, they would cheat or leave. She did the exact same thing. Not saying it was wrong, I get it.

I think he described it wrongly. She wanted something serious but she didn’t get it. So she tried again, meets another dude, and same thing happens. Quick question, in your brain, is there even a possibility that you would be sexually compatible once you get married? Like to me it sounds more like someone who is very disciplined. He could be the highest libido person in the world and the person that will literally rock your world, but also happens to have a lot of discipline to wait till marriage. Again I never denied other animals did this. In fact I have affirmed it like 3 Times that they do. I don’t think that is a biological evolution. You would be correct to say that humanity had evolved to having phones and riding machines instead of horses. But none of it biological evolution. It is us using our resources and creating something new of it. The mouth, I don’t think, was ever evolved to become a pleasure tool for penises. It just so happens that it feels good and we use it. Heck, I’ve…

I’m not religious at all. What I think when I say is not meant to be is for example phones. Phones weren’t meant to be. That was created by humans. Not by nature, the universe, god if you are religious, whatever. It was something we created. Pills for example, I dont think our biology evolved to be able to take pills. Well let me rephrase it better. When I meant no purpose as in I don’t think it was meant to be. It’s kind of like the feeling of hunger. If I am not mistaken, the only reason why we have the feeling of hunger is because otherwise we wouldn’t eat. This is why people who have illnesses where they can’t feel pain or hunger or etc, they often pee themselves, can’t tell if they are hurting, don’t eat, etc. so the feeling of hunger has no purpose in the sense that now days, knowing that we are suppose…

Yes. There is evidence that our biology is asking us to reproduce. Masturbating is not reproducing. The body naturally get rid of sperm at night if I am not mistaken. If you haven’t had sex and don’t masturbate, your body will at some point get a wet dream and have you cumming at night. You are right it is best to organs daily for better health. It has a purpose. Handjobs, blowjobs, foot jobs, anal, etc… those are all inventions of humans to enjoy ourselves without having actual sex. So I do masturbate, a LOT. To be able to contr…

I would say to say it’s wrong to say the sexual urge is “too powerful”. I think what differs us from animals is the fact that we can put aside our desires for something better. The I need to find myself to me it’s bs. The feeling of missing out, I can see that but I don’t think i would have a problem cause it’s not like she missing someone else. She just doesn’t know if she would miss something, is the curiosity rather than the desire

Again. I never said this was the average. In every single comment I have made it clear I don’t even believe this is the majority of women’s lives. I will say it one more time hopefully this time it will stick. What I am saying is not the MAJORITY of women. You would be correct about me not being originally from the USA. I do live in the usa now. Austin Texas, one of the hottest and expensive markets right now. Where I bought my first home. Is 100k minimum good enough to have a home, keep a famil…

Well as I made it clear above, but apparently not clear enough, I know not all stay home moms had this life, but if someone wants you to be a stay home mom, I don’t see why you would settle for less than what I would want. Second my logic is not flawed. Yes smaller kids are more work than bigger kids. However that doesn’t change the fact my mom had a person that lived with us cleaning the house and cooking and doing laundry and helping with kids. I mean of course at first when is it a brand new …

Well I’m not denying that there is hard working moms. As I mentioned, before. This is the lifestyle you can definitely get without kids. With kids, you can definitely get it too but not everyone gets it. The lifestyle I mention is not a lie, it’s a reality for many women and stay home partners. Is it the majority? No. But it is a reality to many. My mom as an example as well as plenty of their friends had this lifestyle.

Well again, this is why I push her to study and get “work ready” so that even if she wishes to end our relationship or I did or something, she doesn’t feel trapped. She wouldn’t be a “hostage” because she has all the means to make it on her own. And I would also say a relationship like this one is reciprocal. Just because she is not making any money does not mean it’s reciprocal and it’s very simple minded to think like that. People have different requirements. So if I do something for her I lik…

I’m not an idiot when I have seen it first hand. My mom was a stay home mom and she had this lifestyle as well as plenty of her friends. Now I will say my mom was smart. She ended up marrying a guy who made a good amount. I will say I have no children of my own but I have taken care of my baby niece for two weeks. I’d still disagree. I do think the first few years of having kids would be a lot of work, but even so I’d say it’s a lot better than working the 8 hour shift. Having said that, I do realize some people rather work 8 hours a day doing really hard stuff than just being at home and taking care of kids. And that is an okay choice. Me personally, I’d rather stay with kids

Well I’m using it from the experience I got to see with my own family. That was my moms life growing up. We had someone to clean the house and cook. My mom only had to love us and help with hw. Other than that everything else was done by someone we hired.

100% but that wouldn’t be equal. If she decides to want an intelligent man doesn’t mean she has to put effort to be intelligent either is my whole point! It doesnt have to be equal. I think it’s closer about being fair. If all I want is for her to be hot and she wants X Y and Z. It’s fine if she wants all of that as long as she fulfills my desire for her to be hot. I want to clarify I’m not saying that is the only requirement I have for her, it was more of an example
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/22 09:13 PM

Well that is exactly why I push my gf to study because of there chance I won’t. But I push her I don’t require her to. I don’t require a partner to do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/22 09:04 PM

I don’t think it’s equal. My gf says she wanted someone smart, I don’t care if she is smart or not. My gf says she wanted someone taller than her, I don’t care how tall she is. My gf says she doesn’t care if I get chubbier, I do I don’t want her getting chubby. We all have different standards and just because you don’t meet those same standards doesn’t mean you must try to follow them.

I’ll say my thoughts as an older brother. I personally would love to play the stereotypical “female role”. I would love to be a stay home bf or husband or father. I would love to spend my days going to gym, going to get coffee or shopping with my friends, going golfing, going paddle boarding, etc while my wife works to provide. I think this is an amazing life. I think you are totally right and it’s definitely dangerous and we need to be very careful with it. I definitely affect your sex life for the worse. I don’t think it’s necessarily the cause or symptom either. I think it’s a loop. So a boy is growing up and he doesn’t have anyone that wants to be with him and sleep with him. why? Most people will go it’s because of women! Some will go it’s because of men! Meaning if he worked out a bunch, had the best personality, and worked really hard to get a ton of money, he believes he would still not find love. Well you are asking to stop doing something that bothers someone. Do something that makes me happy and do something to take away my pain. So as an example buying me a gift is buying me something that makes me happy. Paying a bill I owe is instead taking away a stress I had on my shoulders. I can answer the first question very easily in my opinion. I think there is a difference in making someone happy and asking them to make you happy. In this case yes. I usually am very pro therapy. I have been to 3 different therapist and I loved it. But I do think there is things that therapy can’t do. It can’t magically for example, make you have a big dick or very least a dick that a woman can feel. If he is as tiny as he makes it seem and your comment is true nothing would make up for it, than he won’t ever find a partner. I’ve never heard that women shouldn’t have rights but then again, I only have 2 guy friends and a bunch of girl friends. There is a difference between beta, alphas, and real submissive and dominant. When I hear beta.. Times definitely change you are right about that. I guess my view is very skewed since in my family and close friends this happens a lot. I talked on another comment here about my brother. He was 18, she was 15-16 and they are now married and have been together almost 15 years. Another brother has been together with his wife since they were both 18 and it’s been over 10 years. 2 cousins of mine also high school sweethearts and one just turned 8 years married and the other one over 10. I will say…

I will agree with that! I guess I was thinking of marriage not in the legal manner but more in the emotional way. Like my brother had been dating the same girl since he was 18 and she was 15-16 and they dated for 12 years and then finally got married. But to our whole family.. they have been married for way longer since they were living together since he was like 21 or 22.

I will agree that most people sadly don’t know who they are. I personally can’t understand it cause I have always known who I am but I guess you could make the argument I don’t know what I am talking about since I am 21. I would have married when I was 18 if I had the chance, I would marry right now if I have the chance. I will agree if she is marrying because she needs a father figure, of course that would be the dad to blame. However, some people just know what they want in life. My mother had…

Putting the age difference aside. Why is it so wrong to want to marry at a young age? I personally find the idea of hooking up not of my liking. I just want to find someone I can love and explore the world with. No need to be playing games with a bunch of people. Why is marriage a sign you failed as a parent?

Allowed? Of course. Heck they don’t need permission. Red pill people will simply say that makes you undesirable to those men. Is it a bad thing? Not really. I mean if you are sleeping around with a bunch of men, you most likely don’t care or want the stereotypical traditional man anyway. The problem is if you want that traditional man that will take care of you, sleeping around makes you undesirable to them. In terms of why those men claim they wish they did the same. I think it’s simple. Both m…

I don’t care if she is career focused. I don’t mind if she makes more money than me. All I care about is that she will be loyal, good partner, compatible, gorgeous, very sexual, but I also do care that she is educated. The reason why I care if she is educated, is to make sure she can push that on my kids. I’m not sure where it when I read this but I remember hearing that the education level on the father makes no difference on the kids education. He could be rich and high school drop out or rich…

Yes so my take on this is not the fact that you are doing something inappropriate but rather the fact that as human we can all fall for someone else. Being with other girls will increase the chance I will fall for someone else just like my gf being with other guys will increase the chance of them falling for someone else.

Oh no yes. Perhaps I should have been more specific. When I say I stop talking to them I didn’t mean entirely. I meant more in the sense of me hanging out with them by myself or me calling them at night to talk for hours, etc. I totally agree and do what you said about only hanging out with them as long as my gf is with. Still plan things with them with my gf involved, etc.

I agree. I personally have only two guy friends and a bunch of girl friends. But all of them know the moment I am dating I will not talk to them. If they want us to talk to hang out, they talk to us, me and my gf, never just me.

So few things here. Of course if a guy is just like hey you know where X street, she should definitely answer and not be like I have a man back off. I disagree with the lack of trust. Cause I don’t think you should ever trust anyone. The only thing I trust is the fact that we are humans and humans make mistakes. Those are a lot of questions but overall my take on why we do this is the following. I don’t see the point of having a life partner if that partner isnt your life. I would not want to be with someone who doesn’t mean the world to me. If she doesn’t mean the world to me than she is just a friend. And if she means the world to me, than you will 100% be afraid to lose her. And the other way around or at least should be.

Personally from day one. Specially with the risk of pregnancy, I only date from day one(day one being when I was sexually attracted to girls) with the intention of marriage.

I agree. That is why I said men who are willing to shave for their partner aren’t hypocritical and those who aren’t willing are hypocritical
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/22 02:47 AM

I don’t think they are hypocrites unless they are not willing to shave either. As an example, I personally think men look better with body hair, but my current partner hates body hair so I am willing to shave it. After all, at that point it would be hypocritical of me not to when I ask her to shave it all as well. However, if I like my woman shave, and she happened to like me hairy, than it’s not hypocritical of me to stay hairy since I am doing it for her

I’m not treating anything. I’m not saying I go with my life thinking and seeing markets everywhere I see. No one lives like that. You are right it could be both lack of patience and compatibility. I will agree with that. I do disagree with what makes a good woman or good man. What makes a good man and a good woman is pretty basic but apparently very hard to follow. Men are definitely inferior to women in since aspects of life. Just how women are definitely inferior than men in some aspects of life. I agree. Specially if you have been dating for a long time. Getting upset and treating your partner badly because you are not getting sex is immature and just wrong. But being frustrated because you haven’t had sex with your lifetime partner for months and saying something about it, wanting to talk about it, and trying to work things out, isn’t wrong

I don’t get your point. My point is, maybe I have been in relationship with people who act like children, but sometimes I want to try a new restaurant. And they might not want to go, and I might say something come on, we haven’t been to a new place in so long, let’s go try something new. She didn’t want to, but I convinced her to go. Why can’t I say the same thing with sex?

You are completely right. I didn’t mind nor got upset by it. At some point it would get annoying if it had been longer than hour and I would tell her “I said no plenty of times. It’s been an hour, I’m going to change the subject now.” And that was it.

Oh haha I see the humor now haha! Yes you certainly got it right. Now that is not to say that I don’t believe in promises at all. Ive made very little promises but I have fulfiled them, the amount of promises that have been made to me and haven’t been fulfilled is astonishing. Is that to say that no one can? Of course not. My dad when he first got married he promised his, at the time, wife that he would always financially take care of her. They have been divorced for over 30 years. All of the ch…

Once again, most people that have cheated did not want to cheat in the first place. They partner trusted them and they trusted themselves. It’s a really good question! My gf is bisexual too! We have had this conversation. So I’m not allowed to have a lot of gf friends. Definitely not to hang out by myself. But I don’t mind her seeing girls cause I personally don’t care if she were to sleep with a girl! Just don’t do it behind my back, let me know before hand. And that’s okay. I disagree. It is normal to consider everyone a threat. Ask any women, they will consider any man walking down the street or at least most as a threat. And even when they know them, they are still carful because he could have just been a fake friend and tried to drug them or something. You should always consider someone a threat. Now I’m not saying no friends of the opposite sex whatsoever. I have a few friends that I have told my gf she cannot touch. Then perhaps it is a difference in culture. I’m a home owner but I live by myself. In terms of bills. They are all automatic. The only time I have had to call them is when the power has gone out because of a generator breaking. I have carpet sadly, but I still only vacuum once a week, since I have a rumba that is vacuuming every day. I don’t believe I said all day but if I didn’t mean literally all day. Once they know how to use it well I meant once they are older. By then they will be going to school, probably have some extracurricular classes, and when they get home after hw is done on their free time they will watch movies or play games. I would probably call that all day but in reality they would be playing barely at all. But yes I agree, as long as they don’t refuse to go out at all then it’s okay.

Definitely. I think we can both agree. Most parents, I’d say are not working 24/7 unless they are single moms who have to work and take care of the house and kids. Of course if someone is working 24/7, which I find it hard to believe assuming they have a partner, then they have all the right to ask for help. I agree with the prenup. But I would do the prenup just for divorce and also to protect her in case my business fails and I go bankrupt so it won’t affect her either. But outside of that paper, the moment I get married, I will put my house under her name, will give her a car under her name, and give her as much as I can because she deserves that as a woman and as the woman that conquered me.

The problem is I think, maybe it is just my experience, but when I tell women if you are not adding value to my life.. they go like don’t you love me, isn’t being in love enough. And If I say if you are not making enough money, you need to be cleaning, cooking, helping arou…

The best group of people to give advice to men, specially about dating, is women and we should follow it. The best group of people to give advice to women, specially about dating, is men and they should follow it. Problem is, when men tell women what a man wants in a woman, they hate it and choose to ignore it. And same thing happens when a woman tells a man what they want in a man, they hate it and choose to ignore it.

Is there a way to learn to kiss? I’ve always wondered this. I have only kissed one girl, and not even making out. I’m not dating someone but we have never kissed and she hasn’t kissed someone either past a quick kiss. I have always wondered whether it just comes naturally and you are either good at it or not or if there is ways to learn

The reality Is that your degree will be used whether you work in the field or not. Studies show that the education of the mother has a huge impact on the kids compared to the education of the father. The father could have dropped out of high school and got a decent job and decent wage or become a doctor and make crap ton, it will virtually not affect the child’s education more than financial stand point. However, when the mother is a college graduate, the kids tend to follow. If the mother didn’…

I will say two things about that. I don’t think the fairytale is men be whores and women stay pure. I don’t remember any princess movie were the guy was a whore hahaha. But I understand what you are saying, that most guys don’t want to wait, will mess around, have as much sex as they can, and the get the virgin. Though I agree with you in the sense that I find it unfair. I once again touch on the fact we want different things. If as an example, all the virgin women would say, I’m not marrying a …

I will admit I want a fairytale. But that is why I also put myself in that same standard. That’s why I continue to be a virgin. I want to give my virginity to hopefully the one and only. Yes they totally should. In my opinion. But I will also say, women and men tend to look for different things romantically. As an example, I am a virgin by choice(21 m) and girls that I’ve talked to(ex,only dates, just talking, ect) have mentioned that though they find it sweet, they wouldn’t say they prefer a virgin man. The explanation usually goes like “ I don’t want to teach the guy what to do. Women already have a hard time getting orgasms, now I need to teach him what to do. Go through the …

I am not from the USA but I do live here. I agree that the USA has a very bad sexual outlook in the sense that it is shamed upon and that if you are high or drunk than you must have been raped. I think the biggest issue though with young love is pregnancy. You mentioned how in the USA we are focused on wealth. Very true, I personally could not live in a place were people are not constantly striving for more. However, a culture that allows people to move up in the economic hierarchy as easy as th…

I don’t think it’s a hunch. I think it is the sad reality. It would be easy and amazing to say that maturity just comes with age, but it doesn’t, it comes with the experiences you have lived, if you spend your last 10 years not doing anything but partying, you might not have experience of the world like someone who has been working, traveling, creating businesses, have had lots of friendships, etc. I mentioned before how I have a lot on commons with my older friends, an example of what you mean …

But yes, definitely consider the fact that too old can leave you a widow early on. 10 years not a big deal. 15-20, you will most likely be a widow but of old age and only stay widow for 5 years maybe more. But older than 20, you are really opening up to the chance of being by yourself for a long time, specially if you decide to not have kids. Though you can always find someone else after

I mean I will say that you can find a non promiscuous teen. That is why my gf fell in love with me, or supposedly one of the reasons. I’m still a virgin, and before her, I’ve only really dated one person(went out on dates, but only dated one girl) cause I wanted nothing other than a serious relationship. I will admit though, the con of this is that I will probably disappoint in bed the first few times haha

I think this is the most important tip. It is the reality. Those relationships can work, but even if they do… depending on how big of an age gap, are you comfortable with possibly becoming a widow by 40s? It is definitely something to think about, and perhaps the most important thing

I do think that knowing my family history and seeing how happy and amazing couple they are, might have skewed my view a little. I’m sure otherwise I would have grown hating any age gap bigger than 5 years. I don’t know. I personally just think it’s a matter of case to case bases. I live in America. I’m not from America. My home country has a much lower divorce rate than the USA. But we don’t do arranged marriages. I think it’s more of a mentality than anything. The USA way of looking at relationships seems pretty dry and just destined to fail most of the time.

I think you can both be supportive without agreeing with the outcome. We do it all the time, from basic decisions to big ones like what someone is going to study. Just because we don’t like it or don’t agree with it, doesn’t mean we can’t be supportive. This is very interesting. It really shows to the difference in desires of a relationship. I could be wrong but I feel like men are more extremist. In my personal idea I agree with you. But I also agree that what men and women want in a partner are not usually equal. Many women would want a more experience partner to lead them, while most men would want an inexperienced partner. Though I agree with your statements on a personal note, it is also true it depends on the couple.

I see! Well I’m sure you will find the right partner for you. And if it makes you feel better, I don’t think you are a hypocrite. Men and women differ in what we are looking in a partner. What we look for in a partner is usually complimentary, not equal.

I definitely do agree that what men and women want is not equal. However, I do think there is some similarities. I would assume both genders want an attractive person. I don’t believe women are willing to date a huge fat men who is not that attractive if they are a super model unless he is like extremely wealthy and extremely good personality.
