Nah, you didn't get my message. I don't think that there is anything written on that topic that helps. I just said, that knowing these things won't change my discipline. There needs to be something else 'I somehow need to find for myself'.
/r/TheRedPill13/03/18 04:43 PM

There is a difference between knowing how simple it is, and actually doing it. With the hundredth post about how simple it is to be in the top 10%, I really know it. But the discipline to actually DO the things can't be reached by knowing how simple it is. There needs to be something else. Sadly I don't know, what it is.

While there is even a rule that you shouldn't use such examples, everyone who is at trp and watches a series from time to time, should watch House of Cards. Even if it's fiction, it is a great example for people with alpha traits, and people with beta traits. Even many fake alphas.

I hope you will change your passion for riding several hours a day just to lift. While lifting may be good, "traveling" around like this every day ist a waste of time too.

the true idea behind TRP: getting laid. Self improvement is of course, a pillar in the SMV, and is an obvious and easy way to get laid. But it's completely unnecessary. What? Maybe you should try self improvement too, so that you don't contradict yourself in two consecutive sentences.

TRP is actually right for this sort of things (first sentence in the sidebar), but some people aren't happy when people aren't just successful with girls, but with other things in their life too. Your principles are a pretty good foundation for a good life and for a positive male identity in todays society (sidebar again). I try to implement those things too, but my bad habits often overcome me, so I guess I didn't internalize everything until now.

People didn't just follow the things at nofap blindly, most try and actually see results. It may be that the guys over there aren't alpha at all, but many people get a way better starting position to "become alpha", when they do nofap (or noporn). But people here at trp shouldn't neglect such a topic just because the associated subreddit is full of betas. The effects could help many people to reach their goals.

Great idea! I have seen too many people here who were like "yeah, I will have sex and somehow a exciting life I hope, fuck the rest", and I think this isn't the foundation this sub should be build upon. I think the two new flairs are an excellent choice, and I hope we will see a great development in the right direction.

People like us (that don't want to reproduce) will get replaced. I live in Germany, and most German families I know have one or two childs max., and that is the older generation. Younger people don't want to have children. Then there are muslim families and the new refugees. They usually have at least three children, the heavy "producers" got seven or eight children (I know enough families where it is like this actually, it's a fact that muslim families are way more birth giving than others). Yo…

A little alcohol can help you go to bed this shouldn't be used too often. Sleep quality reduces drastically. For me personally it's extreme, often I got pretty hard headaches in the morning, if I drink a little bit before sleeping. To the coffee part: I drink coffee since one year, now at least one cup a day, usually two. It really helps in so many situations, but I think I'm overall more sleepy without coffee. I guess I have to try if coffee is the factor here.

that passing shittests is good is one thing, but do you actually talk about the phrases op used in the thread? I couldn't think how I should "pass" something "Thanks for doing this and that". Sure, I wouldn't be like "DAMN YES, SHE LIKES ME, SCORED, BAM!". But what else?

Even if the writers let people like Frank Underwood seem like somebody you will "like" (at least if you like power addicted pragmatic people), they are a way better role model than most of the men many of us know in real life. The first time I saw House of Cards I was so fascinated by Franks willpower, sharp thinking and ruthless pursuit of his goals, it was a epiphany. It may be a television show, but im 100% sure there ARE people in reallife who are like he is (I hope without killing people, l…

Try meditating before going to bed. I realized that after about five minutes I get in this state where you don't realize youre awake, so I usually get ripped out of my meditation pretty hard (I use a timer). After this I can lay in my bed without thinking about ten thousand things way easier.

Such things happen way to often. Yesterday at the gym I've talked to a friend, and a girl went past us and smiled at me. I thought it was a girl I met at a birthday two weeks ago, but I wasn't sure because I don't see that good. But guess who didn't ask her later if she was on that birthday two weeks ago. Yep, me.

the current wave of RP weightlifting I guess with current you mean since forever? Doing GOOD things for your body helps in every situation. How you do that is yours to find out. But posts like "Hurr durr people with muscles are idiots" doesn't help anyone.

What should be mentioned is, that your life purpose sometimes won't be there like "BAM, HERE IT IS", but slowly. A year ago I would be mad if I had to move too much around, it would be nearly a form of pain. Today, after nearly one year of lifting, I get a rush of dopamine everytime I can workout, even if it's just some push up's at work (office jobs really fuck you up). That's why the part "try many things" is very important. Good post.

Not sure if this is a troll. People here talk about long term change and problems, positive views on males and such things, and you come here like "yeah forget this bs, just stand straight, testosterone will throw pussy right at you". But the fact that people here try to justify their living style until now is true to a extend. Just usually with the mindset of changing now/in the future.

Man, you just talked shit with a fake account. Your text was the cringiest thing I read all day. Then she told me something about me being inaccurate with my questions, which I wasn't, and indirectly that I was a loser. Protip: you are. You are creating a fake account on tinder with somebody who is probably hotter than you, and then you write with girls with said account. Don't you have to do something valuable with your time?

If you are an introvert then the key to happiness is energy management. Extroverts build energy by being around people and burn energy when they are alone. You are the opposite: you build energy by being alone and then burn energy by being with other people. Is it this easy? Usually I like being around people I like, but not longer than a few hours. Everytime my friends visit me, sometimes at parties or clubs , I think "damn wouldn't it be nice to sit at my desk now and write some code" or shit …

One advantage of pretending to be happy over being actually happy is that by pretending you are not dependant on the external world. Shit happens all the time, but it won't be effecting your simulacra since its not real at the first place. If you rely on actual happiness, then you will break the moment the shit happens and a negative thought appears in your mind. Come on. TRP preaches abundance mentality and stoicism, which tells you to find your true purpose for life, so you can be happy withou…

The point he has isn't that bad. The fact alone that TRP exists is something pretty bluepill (in some ways). It looks like we need a complete community of people to tell us how we should behave. Even when we try to get this on our own, somehow most of us needed this subreddit to get the idea. But on the other side, it's true that here are many shitty posts. This is why you need so differentiate between good and bad life wisdoms, except that the count of good ideas here is way bigger than somewhe…

So you are telling us that even when his girlfriend slept with another guy, she still "loves him"? Holy shit, are you even a man? If things like this happens she disrespected you so hard, the only thing you can do there is to break up and leave that bitch. I don't know what psychological philosophical approach you tried here, but it is full of shit. If somebody told me he acted like this, I would think he got some serious mental problems.

And how did this post help anyone? We all know that women always want the best there is, and we also know that they never gonna get it. Everything said. Spending 20 bucks on a book or 600 on a coach for only one day is a huge difference. Through books you have to learn by yourself.

Personal development isn't the same as pouring money into overpriced dating coaches (even the rsd guys). Reading books about personal development, communication and psychology and such things is way better then again, trying to use some cheatcode (read: "coaching, because I need somebody to tell me what I am doing wrong, because I'm too lazy to find out by myself") that you get with money. "Wasting money for personal development" is like the antithesis of TRP (or anything other logical life appr…

Increasing your focus on one task is very important, but working for ten minutes and then a break for five? There is no way that I could be productive in this way. Usually I clean up my desk, get myself a coffee, heat up my room a little bit, and then start to work. After 10 to 15 minutes I don't even realizing anymore that I am working, I just do it. If I would have to start over again every 15 minutes I couldn't end anything.

My hair got longer the last month, because I actually liked it somehow to style it with longer hairs, but after a while it just looked unclean or whatever you want to call it. After the barber I just felt so good, my hairstyle felt sharp again. I have to go more often I guess. Your hairstyle is something that can change your whole appearance, so it's important to have the best one that suits you.

Just starting with things you are scared of is the best way to get them done / get good at them. A example about me. I'm going to the gym for about one year, and since the beginning I just used the machines, because I said "well I wasn't sporty in any way, so I should start slow". True. But even a half year later, I knew that free weights would be a new challenge, and they will be much more effective. But I didn't start. I was to frightened to look like a newbie again. Today I went to gym with a…

His post isn't about what others think, this is exactly the external motivation he talks about. I began lifting because I wanted to look better, and I still do. But after a year this isn't my main reason. I go to the gym, because i feel great while and after I lift. The process is more important that the goal.

A safe space isn't that bad to some extent. If you take your home as example. This is a place where I can study, learn, train, and shape everything like I want, unaffected by other people and their way of "this and this should be like this, not like this". The difference is that at trp you are not alone. I have to admit I'm way more on trp than I should. But I'm not here to let this board change my view at the world just because somebody wrote it. Yeah, just don't overdo training when you are sick. I got a pretty bad flu and made a break for three weeks, went again and the flu came back. Lifting while sick / not completely healthy isn't that good. But still props to you that you are so disciplined :)

Going to the gym shouldn't be a punishment. At least after one year gym, your walk there should be like "damn, I'm so happy that I can lift these irons in a few minutes!". And for me it is like this, sometimes I don't want to, but when I'm there, this is the best time of my day/week, because I can let all this accumulated power from sitting at a desk (studying computer sciences) out, I can feel manly, I can feel alive, and I feel like any man should feel most of his time. I'm lifting since a year, and honestly, there was NEVER anybody who wasn't nice to me. Sure, there will be people looking at you a little bit strange, but who cares. You aren't supposed to approach the meatheads with more muscles than brain.

Then play a game one day, and try to look into the eyes of every girl you walk by. I often do this when I am in a pretty good mood, and it just raises my mood even more. Sometimes you get a nice smile back, sometimes they just look at you for a time, sometimes they look away. Who cares, you probably never gonna see them again! (Or at least don't remember)

I'm paying 15 Euros a month for a nice ass gym in Germany, with everything you can imagine... is it the different country, or are you just not finding anything cheap? Training without gym, or even calisthenics is a way of getting stronger, but without the gym I wouldn't be that motivated to lift. The motivation induced by seeing other ripped people and the feeling of "this is where men getting shit done for their body" is just priceless. Also you can meet people that are actually pretty nice. I wish I would feel all day like I just was in the gym, best time of my day :D Fighting with AA since a long time, and except for a few exceptions I didn't beat it. Usually I try to compensate that like "oh I just gonna lift more and do other things, some day I will have the confidence to approach many girls". Sounds like you could be a bit redpill already, but probably you didn't read the sidebar completely. This sub isn't for questions, we have asktrp for this. But I can say that TRP surely isn't a cult. The thing here is, that trp started as a board for sexual strategy for men (this is even the first line at the sidebar), but people (including me) see the red pill as something way bigger now. While I was reading this text, I tried to breathe in and out way slower than usually, like when I meditate. It's fascinating how clear your text was for me because of that. I read a lot about communication the last months, and it actually sounds pretty rational. But implementing it is just so difficult for me. My father actually died from prostate cancer when I was 15. So what? You are still in your anger phase, aren't you? If you think anybody here should do something to "impress a bunch of men on the internet", you are in the wrong sub. You can't see that much change from the outside until now, except for a way better posture and walking style, but the best thing is the feeling of knowing that you went over a half year to the gym regularily. The last few days I noticed how easily I can talk to strangers. I even talked to some random girls in the club yesterday, something I never did until now. Protip for EVERYBODY - just start lifting. There are three things in life you should cultiv…

In what world you HAVE to become an orbiter, just because you are talking to a woman with a boyfriend? It's childish to just stop talking to her because she said she got a boyfriend. If hes gonna meet a hot girlfriend of hers, that would be more useful than see someone on a daily basis you know, but you just don't talk to her because she said no. My god.

So you think MGTOW isn't about improve yourself? What then? As far as I know, MGTOW is ONLY about improving your life without things directly pointed to woman. They just don't do things to get pussy. Somehow like TRP.

You should not fake things to get girls, you should change yourself to better yourself. "Being yourself" is a bluepill excuse to be a lazy fuck, who doesn't grow to be a man.

I lift since 6 months, but i never did anything in this direction earlier in my life, I'm 20 now. I'm feeling overall better and more confident, but purely by appearance I don't see a change. Well, except for a way better posture and walking style, better than probably everybody who doesn't do any sports at all (like me half a year ago lol) I hope some more years will help me get even better.

I am in the gym for a half year now, and i heard everywhere that you should make breaks between your training days, at least a day. Are you sure it's good for muscle growth to do cardio between training days?

If you and your friend "are redpill" already, he should search his balls and dump her already. Also, if you read at least a few posts here you would know that nearly everybody here will recommend you to only use messaging to set up a date. And please - use at least SOME formatting. By the way this post should be in asktrp.

There are times you gonna need it. Some days I go to a local starbucks to work with my laptop or reading a book. Especially for work-things you sometimes need to carry something.

I know this thread is a little bit older, but one tip for your problem with the gym being too far away: calisthenics. I am a good 100 kilometres away from home for several months in a year, and I don't want to pay two gyms at a time. So I usually do some calisthenics, and oh boy, it's way more intense than gym.

Yeah, I left my comfortzone through some little things the last months, but I guess this will be a good step today. Gotta go, thanks for the answer!

Well, I think if this would happen (it will not probably) I think I got no problem with seeing his actions as stupid, and ignoring it somehow. The "can't talking to strangers easily" is the main problem. but as /u/throwawayyourliberty said one post below, I think I just have to do it.

Nice explanation of frame, thanks. But I got a question, how can you "build" frame, when you are in a new uncomfortable situation? Over the last few months I was in our towns club nearly every weekend with friends. Today it seems like nobody is going to go there, but I don't want to sit at home, so I am probably still going. The chance that I meet someone I know is there, but not that high. I think I will feel unwell being there without knowing anybody, and I'm not that good at starting a conver…

I thought about leaving, but then I didn't. Another friend showed up and well... free alcohol and snacks. :D The problem with leaving was that I didn't want to be at home doing "something" instead of being at a party and maybe got at least a chance to socialize. But I should have left I guess.

I got problems with this too. A month ago a friend of me dragged me to a birthdayparty from a girl I didn't even know. I usually don't to such things, but I just thought "fuck it, have fun." Well, the party was shit, the music was bad, and the people were so fcking unfriendly, or at least appeared like it. I didn't talk to much people, and it wasn't reall fun. The last three weekends I was in a student club of our town university and I just drunk something with my friends and had a lot of fun. I…

When your social life just consists of party you are doing many things wrong. What would you say if somebody told you gis only connection to other people comes through partying? I would say this is a person without proper hobbies or interests. There are so much things to do where you can meet new people.

I don't think he done that with the intention to get you out of the game. Probably he was mad because he didn't get the hot chick, thought this is his moment when you were gone and just fucked up so bad.

I heard this alot of times, but usually this isn't going fast enough for me if I only can change one thing at a time. I know this is a mistake, need to try this. thanks

The "Well how should I say" was mainly because English isn't my first language and I literally didn't know how to say it :D I'm trying. It's already better than a few months ago. I guess gym and reading is helping alot. Thanks for the help, I will look at the podcast!

Indeed I'm thinking too much. I know this already Well how should I say .. I want to get as much as possible out of some situations, but I'm too shy or too afraid to actually behave like that. I appear pretty innocent to people and sometimes I can use that, and I think thats the reason it's so difficult for me to be a "man".

I'm doing a "dual study" in Germany in information technologies atm, it is like university, but 50% learning in a company, and I already earn some money with it, + child benefit + Half orphans pension (is it called that way? I don't know) Anyways, with this I'm earning around 750€ per month. I want this graduation to be on the safe side, but I also want to start a business at some time. Starting it right now or in the next three years would get me a lot of stress because of thousands of applicat…
