Do you have a few passages handy, you think the bible depict the gender roles as they should be well? I distincly remember the scene with Maria Magdalena and the anointed feet and the scene in the book of Matthew where Joseph finds Maria was pregnant and promply considers leaving her in secret (after an long paragraph selling the idea of the patriachial line from Abraham to Jesus implying Joseph is indeed some kind of biological father) requiring an angular intervention. Do you see these scenes …

Not 30+ but this sub is the source of some dark amusement. Similar to how some would watch a soap to see the drama unfold or used to read mad orange ape tweets to laugh at the latest malarky.

Is this a variation of "There is no such thing es good and evil, only power and those too week to seak it." [JK Rowling] or is yours the original quote which got a persiflage cameo in the children's book?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/21 03:05 PM

In my opinion to have preferences what a partner looks like or behaves like is fine and very normal. To tie those characteristics to a race instead of an ethnicity or a phenotype is questionable though.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 04:28 PM

Run it by me step-by-step please: Is your claim a foreigner is unable to fit into your society not because of his vastly different cultural background but because of the way he looks or because of some other inherent quality?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 04:23 PM

Ethnicity contains not only phynotypical 'looks' aspects but also strong cultural aspects. Isn't it a flawed perception of reality to only categorise people by their looks entirely disregarding how their lookalikes from the other side of the globe have very little in common with them? Eg a traditional living Sherpa and a modern African American will have very little in common, as won't the builders of Stonehenge have with a modern British citizen.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 04:17 PM

The idea of races is scintifically outdated, yet people use it nontheless. Racism is not happening in congruence with reality but with the idea of reality, the worldview, the racist individual has. To give you a less loaded analogous example: Many people agree the world is more or less a globe. This can be proven in many different ways and is generally considered true. Yet unironical flat-earthers exist, for in their worldview the earth is flat. If your argument holds true, that racism can't exi…

Race and racism as defined by Merriam-Webster. When unironically using an outdated and scientifically flawed conept, how is it not questionable. When not talking about genetics, tell me then, oh wise one, what makes a group of people a race.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 03:35 PM
1

So any race that is concerned that its race might die out is racist?? Yes because thinking about humans in races is racist. Humans show depending on their ethnic group a diverse genotype and different frequencies in genetic variants. This results in the different phenotypes we see around the globe. But to start defining races - which is defining a race based on a set of phenotypic features humans display - remains in the spirit of the Nuremberg laws and is the mental child of a racist world view…

Oh we had 'sex education' it was just very basic and technical. I learned much more during a one day workshop as a teenager than several years of biology lessons. And PE was down to 90 min on one day a week and like in grade 8 and 9 aditional 45 minutes on another day. Parents who didn't make sure their kids joined a sports team or encouraged kids to go outdoors with their friends had potentially very inactive children.

Meh, only my country? I need at least the entire EU to really get things done. But lets see: no more likes/dislikes on social media: I'd claim it's bad for the health of my citizens when they get those dopamine rushes again and again just because someone liked their picture/video/whatever. It's entirely ok and encouraged to use the comment section though teenagers will have to sit through a sex and relationship education class. They will likely feel very akward during the entire class and many c…

The USSR lost 13% of their population during ww2. And the medals were awarded for 7+ children. This is more like encouraging women to go all out with childbearing. Statistics of birthrate in FRG and GDR. I see clearly higher birthrates in GDR after the introduction of the pill. Why are sustainable birhrates so important on this sub?

You're entirely to generous with your social experiment. - add some free healthcare, childcare and elderly nursery homes for everyone. To finance those cut the income drastically - cut the income drastially down: considering an Ostmark was 0,1 Mark and approximately 1 Mark = 0,5$ and an average income was 1300 Ostmark(=65$) an income of 100$/month to account the inflation sounds justified -suddently realise your poor workers and farmers don't have enough money to pay for their food after they pa…

In my land, once a baby is born both parents have rights and responsibilities. Most men don't want to get their ONS pregnant only to pay alimony for the next 18+ years, it contradicts the idea of casual, inconsequential sex. By that logic, men too have an interest in not getting their partner pregnant. Hence men carry their share of responsibility for propper contraception. Once again, if the contraception is succesfull, the desired result is already there and there no final option for women to …

With successful contraception there is no veto power women could take. By deciding to use a condom men can drastically decrease the chance to even be in the position of possibly becoming father against his will. Wouldn't you say the moment the man decided to forgo responsible contraception (either taking care of it themself or making sure the partner was responsible with their birth control) the man is accepting the possibility of pregnancy? Women might have the last choice after two people mess…

As far as I know there is no birth control for men on the market, why don't you link me which preparates you mean when speaking about issues of sterilization . If you read my original comment again, you'll see me appeal to men for them to wish for male birth control - for if there is a market it's more likely the research is funded well.

No I'm curious what you consider a wrong as opposed to a mistake or a mishap. I think, given your previous answer, you differ those more stricktly than me, for in my understanding minor mishaps or errors are part of those little everyday wrongs.

I admit I wouldn't want to be in either of your shoes, both having a partner that can't admit being wrong and a partner that can't let go sound unpleasant to me. It's not my beer though and you two have apparently found a way to make it work. Out of curiosity, do you have an example what admitting you were wrong is for you?

So in a hypothetical setting, what would you say to your partner: It's your turn to go shopping but you forgot to get the most important ingredient for dinner. Your partner asks you where you put said ingredient, for it's their turn to cook dinner.

Can you back that up with some sources or is it hearsay from your part? As far as I know it was mainly the moodswings that stopped the studies on a previous prepaprate. Personally I'm particularly excited about the approach targeting the retinoic acid receptor alpha (RARA) to prevent sperm reaching maturity. This idea is independend from the testesterone pathways and likely the previously reported moodswings in other contraceptiva have no reason to manifest.

You can talk with her beforehand how she sees the risk of pregnancy and what she wants to do. The minority of women will lie. Also you could demand the pill for the man is finally developed, there are some very good approches available that are not developed to a compound because the market is not big enough. You're right that question allone is not sufficient. But I think they're trying to catch those problems by asking "Did you have more than three intimate partners during the last year", too. There's always a host of questions about the sex life when donating blood.

In my opinion, sex within a permanent couple is commited. If the guests are permanent too, they are commited. If the guests are changing, sex with them is casual.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/21 04:21 PM
9

From the side of risks to catch STDs the couple is taking when having guests in their relationship yes. (Stricly speaking, sex with changing relationship guests would be casual, sex within the couple or one or two permanent guests would not be casual) How the couple itself sees their guests, would be up to the couples discretion.

Whenever I'm at the blood donation centre the questionaire asks "did you have sex outside of a commited relationship?" I think this question captures the essence of casual sex perfectly, and I consider everything outside a commited relationship as casual sex. That is to say a partner one has casual sex with can progress to a partner one has commited sex with, as the relationship progresses. I know couples that are married on paper, but each have their own stable relationships, that are in my eye…

Well then as this is a debate sub, point out where you think that I'm in the wrong and ideally back it up with a source. If I'm clearly in the wrong, that should be an easy exercise, right? Inverted comas ('') are as far as I know a generally accepted way to convey sarcasm in text

Just, no, that's not how humans work. Wishing for early birth rate high birth rate high marriage rate early marriage low divorce rate While at the same moment requiring a fair solution for all will not work. With a massive effort of propaganda, one can temporarily rise the birth rate, but it does nothing for longterm stability of relationships. Is it a cultural thing then? Or is it very targeted bride marketing that shifts the preception of the brides? I remember when my brother married his wife how annoyed she was by the added price to all things marriage related (like nice shoes=80€, but oh you want the same model in white=150€) I read somewhere that the average budget for Western European mariage is ~15k€. Perhaps culturally dependand. If the marriage occurs during the early stages of the relationship (like after 2 or 3 years of meeting each other) it's more of a celebration-of-what-will-be than a celebration-of-what-we've-build-and-cherish, and celebrating what will be is imo much more vulnerable for fairy-tale excesses.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 11:31 AM

Those prices are insane. All that for a party with friends and family. One can have an all inclusive wedding (nice location, music, catering, etc) for a fraction of that money. Is there a reason marriage calls for extravagant spending that exceeds the couples budget?

I believe both genders are suffering unrealistic standards. What I've witnessed myself or learned from talking with friends and family is the dichotomy of consequences. On the one hand by not-conforming to the beauty standards one is more likely to become invisible to the environement or cause some ire targeted at oneself. Clearly visible in your picture is the steroid neck, with ridiculously puffed muscles. Of course beauty is highly subjective and we like what we like. I've to confess I don't quite understand your problem. You have a well-paying job and started to hit the gym. What conflict are you facing when you are working a creative-and-mental work job and have a physical activity hobby? I mean you should have 40-50h/week work (or perhaps 60-70 assuming you're US based) and take I guess like an hour a day to work out. Do you have such long commuting hours or is there some other time conflict in your schedule?

Really interesting, thank you for sharing! Another cool feature of eggs is, that they won't choose the quickest sperm but chooses one out of the quickest group of sperm. Sperm and egg exchange information via chemotaxis (a bit like smelling at each other) and the egg allows one sperm to permeate it's membrane and actively blocks the attempts of other sperm to pass through.

What I've experienced is how my taste in men is aging with me. I believe the reason for young women to prefer young men is, that they are on average just well matched as a pair. (Much better than a jung woman with an ancient man.) To believe all women are crazy for the muscular silverbacks is in my opinion a RP bandaid.

What a pickup artist considers as 'good women' is not necessarily what FDS sees as a HVW. That being said, this strategy is not about going to a dancing school in order to meet men, but to connect a personal passion with the oportunity to meet new people (potential friends and men alike). What one is paying for are the lessons not the men, one is investing in oneself here. If one doesn't care about dancing, this strategy is not going to work. I'm living in my bluepill-bubble and many of the women I know are in monogamous relationships. I'm afraid the dudes will always be a mixed bag, but swing dancing has (in my area) really great socials, many of passionate ones are participating. It depends on the partners name. If one partner has an unfortunate name or a really beautiful/special/fitting last name I'd marry away from the unlucky name and to the lucky name regardless of gender. Both gaming and anime have a very wide range from 'Deeply inspiring art' over 'goofy entertainment' to 'very problematic content'. What I find interesting is that you've picked for both faces ones that have hints of very high testesterone levels. Both faces have (for their respective gender) very well definded cheekbones and jaws, and eyes that are slightly more narrow than the Dureresque ideal.

If men try to apply some form of AWALT to individual women for most women this model will be illfitting. Yes, it's crappy behaviour. I mean, I'm culturally biassed, because I was culturized with being exclusive first, and then if everything is peachy have the relationship become official. (Serial dating is not the norm here and would cause many raised eyebrows if not agreed upon bevorehand.) Contraceptive failures happen, you're right. But in that case it is infinitely better to be with a partner who agrees with you if the next step is either 'lets see if we get a baby' or 'morning-after pill, pregnancy test, abortion if pregnant'. To knowingly sleep with a woman who favours the other option than oneself is to accept that option in case of contraceptive failure. Just like we accept the chances of being in an accident when driving a car.

Do you feel masturbation is something to be ashamed of? If you allow it to be, solosex can be so much more than just quenching a need, but an oportunity to explore your body and your desires. You can play with yourself, try a new pattern of movement or if the other hand feels more interesting today. Sex is a learned behaviour and what movents we learn during masturbation often reemerges in partnered sex. Imagine during solosex times you find this wonderfull new way you like to be touched. Wanting to have sex is natural. But being responsible and use a contraceptive of choice should be natural too. For example the netherlands have one of the lowest abortion rates in the world, despite having liberal laws concerning abortion. The reason for this is the very solid sex education for teenagers and easy access to contraceptives. An adult man who makes bad contraceptive choices (like insisting not to use a condom or claiming to be sterile or stealthing or ...) should have to accept his …

But how did the woman end up pregnant if the man doesn't want children? Wouldn't it be much better to decide 'no children' before sex and choose an adequate contraceptive method? Carelessly impregnating a woman and then trying to slink out of responsibility is immature and needlessly cruel to the resulting child.

For what reason not to watch porn to masturbate? To keep the own fantasies alive and explore were they take oneself as opposed to mindlessly consuming what another has though before and acted out before. And at least to me it is a huge downturn if the partner tries to reenact what they've seen in porn and only seem to follow a script and it is a much closer and more personal experience to explore the own fantasies together.

In my land roughly a quarter of the income would go if it's pre taxes and 1.9k/months to live on is a bit on the tight side of things. That is no longer necessarily true. Nowadays with FCMB (fetal cells in maternal blood) a bloodsample of the mother is enough to determine the foetus DNA and with it the paternity. It is completely risk free for the foetus and the mother gives only a little bit of blood. Especially for high-risk pregnancies this has become a great riskfree screening tool.

It depends on the reason why the embryo was to be aborted in the first place. If it is a high-risk pregnancy like an actopic pregnancy but the parrents are otherwise hoping for a baby carrying the child to term in a mashine would be a godsent. If the embryo is to be aborted because the contraception failed and the woman carrying the embryo doesn't want a child at the time, carrying the embryo to term in a machine changes nothing. You are basically saying an 18 year old woman is a child. Is that really the argument you want to make here? Please don't put words in my mouth I never said. Is it 'just good game' if the predator conceals the spouse and children waiting at home? Or future fakes whatever the other wants to hear? Invents a new exciting backstory for themselves or exaggerates their own grandeur and importance?

You're saying 'good game' is the same as ruthless manipulation? Every healthy relationship has boundaries that mustn't be crossed. The person doing the grooming hollows the existing boundaries out and shifts them, disregarding the groomed person, thus making the relationship unhealthy.

It blows my mind how you seem to blame the women for being forced to make the terrible choice of (a) be raped and die and see all the kids die as well (b) "agree" to be raped (= legally …

Status is very subjective and not an absolute thing. To flex being a video game leader on a woman will result in many cases in instant loss of interest. (Because for many gamers are associated with cellar dwellers, bad self-care and lack of longterm planning skills.) Some women might be interested, mainly because they enjoy the same game or a game like that one. Wouldn't it be dead boring if live was a single player video game? Up live expectancy to infinity, grind flexing-muscels-nicely for 10 …

I'm not debating that there seems to be a general gender specific preference for different kinds of toys. But my point is that strong gender-specific advertisement in toys cements an idea what a gender is like that is otherwise not as strongly and quickly transported. Do you remember the year with the fidget spinners and how every kid wanted to have one? The same trending force mediated by advertisement can be seen in childcare groups and suddenly every boy wants RoboMcLaser or every girl SuperM…

Love. This may seem highly naive to some of you but hear me out. While true love is something that takes time to evolve, an initial feeling of 'being in love' [godness, how do you native speakers say this? A strong feeling for sb that is more than the typical fancying and more than the butterflies and rose tinted glasses] usually accompanies new relationships for 3-6 months. In this time strong red flags and a general incompartibility may cause the feeling of falling out of love. After those 6 m…

And I don't believe pointing out Harry Potter is a way to show that men and women share the same interests, because there are shows that onlyappeal to men and shows that only appeal to women. As you've pobably noticed while reading, I'm not a native speaker so there is always the chance I worded something oddly. But I was speaking about Legos, the building block toy, not movies. The idea behind this example is to show how once gender targeted advertisement is removed most kids just enjoy playing…

You raise a very good point with a possible psychological hypergamy pattern in women. I feel confident to say that willfull incompetence is something I find very unattractive in humans and love watching and learning from masters in their trades and crafts. On the matter of psychological gender differences I believe that with the onset of puberty (and flooding the brain with sexual hormones) we see some differences between the genders. I also believe that within each gender there is a huge psychological variation. I imagine all the dimensions of psychological differences as overlapping bell curves (:= each parameter gets plotted for each gender, likely looks like a bell curve within a population resulting in two bell curves) where the extrema might…

Masculinity itself is the sum of all typical traits found in men to a much higher proportion than they are found in women. So although women also have the trait of courage it is men who display this trait for more often and more dominantly than women do. Therefore a sense of appropriation of this trait is bestowed to men and masculinity because they hold a monopoly on these traits.
