Being a dad just isn’t sameI think the first year is an adjustment. You’re trying to figure it out solo. Plus you’re tired from work and the divorce process. I get the impression you were a good dad and attentive because you were being a good husband and taking care of your family. I’m not going to lie. It comes in waves. Sometimes it’s daycare. Sometimes we’re out and about doing things all day everyday. A good leader I worked for told me - Take care of yourself and everything will take care of itself. Go to the gym Take… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/06/23 06:47 PM

Divorcing at 37, wife cheated any suggestions on how to move on?Never excused her behavior man. But nobody is perfect in a relationship. Part of being the best version of yourself is identifying your mistakes. Accepting and improving. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/11/22 01:52 AM
Divorcing at 37, wife cheated any suggestions on how to move on?Focus on what you did wrong in the marriage. Accept it. Take accountability. And deal with it so it doesn’t happen next time. Work on being the best version of your self. Do the things that make you happy not others. If you’re a parent focus on being the best you can be. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/11/22 11:20 PM
Feeling guilty: my depression + ADHD destroyed my marriageYeah I felt a similar feeling a year or so after getting divorced and getting back on Vyvanse. But it is what it is. If she and you were meant to be you wouldn’t be on here. Just be the best version of yourself. I’m much better mentally physically and emotionally since going back on my ADHD meds. And there is nothing wrong with being the best version of yourself. Stop ruminating on the past and focus on how your future will look. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/11/22 06:04 AM
Papers filled, now she wants to work things out.Maybe. But if she is saying I want to try and deep down you do to, then my opinion is get in touch with a marriage therapist and actually apply what they say. Just going doesn’t fix your problems. What’s the worst that can happen, your original opinion is reinforced and you can walk away with 100 percent certainty you did your best and getting divorced is the best move? Just my opinions though | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/10/22 01:43 AM

| -1 | Ex Wife Wants Another Baby!I’m not putting her on a pedestal. And like I said I’m about to get a vesectomy. I made peace with no more kids. This whole thing just arose and I’m really just still processing. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/10/22 07:47 PM |
Ex Wife Wants Another Baby!Nawh. She’s not that kind of person. Nothings 100% in life but 99.5 percent sure she’s being authentic. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/10/22 07:45 PM
Ex Wife Wants Another Baby!Yeah 100%. I’m pretty calm but even I’m like wtf. And this is one of those things where I don’t personally know anyone who’s done this so this is my best shot lol 😂 | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/10/22 07:44 PM
Ex Wife Wants Another Baby!Ehhh we’re in Cali. I don’t think he would be on the hook for anything. Maybe if married but not dating. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/10/22 07:42 PM
Ex Wife Wants Another Baby!Sure but she doesn’t want that so it’s irrelevant. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/10/22 07:41 PM
Ex Wife Wants Another Baby!Lol. I’m getting rammed. Just to make something clear. I haven’t decided and I’m leaning towards passing. Just curious about other peoples thoughts. Some of you mentioned the CS stuff and it’s a valid point. Women are incentivized to not do shit and get paid for it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/10/22 07:40 PM
Ex Wife Wants Another Baby!Lol. I knew I’d get recked on this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/10/22 06:34 PM

Question on coordinating clothing/school/items for 50/50 co-parenting.I buy stuff for my kid. Things circulate. It is what it is. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/10/22 02:54 AM
How do you cope?Agree with this 100 percent. Just to add. Don’t be kind with a motive. Be kind because that’s what an adult does and you’re teaching your kids how a good man treats women. Believe it or not. Daughter or son. That will play a role in their own relationships when they’re grown up. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/22 06:58 PM
How do you cope?Shoulda read this before I typed the exact same shit 😂 | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/22 11:31 PM
How do you cope?I think time makes things easier in general, but that doesn’t help you now. My advice on this is that you know the hand you’re dealt with your custody situation. However you have the power in how you play that hand. Instead of I miss my kids and I’m miserable without them… channel that energy into something you don’t like about your self. If you’re overweight… work out on the days you don’t have them. If you never completed school.. then go back. Be the best version of yourself. Sure you’ll miss… | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/22 11:30 PM
Am I over my ex wife… or is this a form of closure?Explain yourself lol 😂 | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/09/22 05:41 AM
Am I over my ex wife… or is this a form of closure?Haha. Yeah I should have wrote that I don’t care about the fact she’s dating. She fucked someone who I know personally and didn’t even care. I guess it’s the emotional involvement part that stings or maybe just hearing it from her. The other thing I should have noted. Friends always asked me if you would care if she was in a relationship and I very confidently and unquestionably would say no. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/09/22 05:31 AM
Am I over my ex wife… or is this a form of closure?Love the fuck you money. You win lmao | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/09/22 04:31 AM
Am I over my ex wife… or is this a form of closure?I get that. I really do and there’s times where I want to just say that. But I end up not because I want my son to grow up knowing that his parents get along just fine without being married and have our own seperate lives. Plus I feel like isnt being agreeable and flexible the easiest option overall? | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/09/22 04:27 AM
Am I over my ex wife… or is this a form of closure?Hahaha I’m pretty well off my self so I get the game man. Porsche GT3 works every time lol 😂. Appreciate the insight man. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/09/22 03:57 AM
Am I over my ex wife… or is this a form of closure?Lmao. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/09/22 03:46 AM
Am I over my ex wife… or is this a form of closure? Not playing defense here but more of just clearing some things up. We have a very healthy separation of our own lives. These family nights are maybe once or twice a month and it’s just my son being able to spend time with both parents and it’s not weird. I never text her nor does she text me about anything unrelated about our son unless if like a family member is in the hospital or something just abnormal. I’m not following when saying “her boldness says get on board?” I know nothing about the g… | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/09/22 03:36 AM
Am I over my ex wife… or is this a form of closure? You know that’s literally what I have been doing for the past two years and yeah I get the same shit from my friends. I truly thought I was over this and when friends and family asked me if I am I confidently said yeah I’m over it without a thought. But yeah I’m 29. Maybe it’s just a growing life lesson and I’ll just be emotionally collected after this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/09/22 03:27 AM
Am I over my ex wife… or is this a form of closure? So here’s the break down. Officially divorced for about 6 months but filed 2 years ago. No drama… courts just backed up from COVID. Essentially we have been split for for 18 Months. Ex wife and I have a pretty great co parenting situation. Everything is organic and never tense with or without our son present. Son is 4. We often do family things like Disneyland, holidays, dinner together as a family sometimes randomly, or planned. There’s lines but I’d say we’re a tight knit family. Since we got … | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/09/22 10:55 PM
