I realize now I said "pedophiles and rapists" even though pedophiles are rapists.

Some of the comments on that thread are really discouraging.

I'm personally fine as well but it's a whole lot better to not force kids into genital mutilation

Their entire idea of men's rights is toxic masculinity, which doesn't even scratch the surface. It's important to bring all this to attention because they don't often talk about nearly anything posted in this sub.

Guys guys guys, I think you're all wrong and what we really need are mental health programs for men.

Plus saying it's easier for men is quite an unfair thing to say, everyone has their own version of struggles. Oh I wasn't saying that that was indeed the case, just explaining what I thought the reasoning behind implementing them was as far as I understood. But I agree, everyone's experience is different.

Aren't affirmative action and quota systems specifically for equal opportunity? For example, requiring a higher amount of female applicants because it's easier for men to get the job compared to women without it? So they're therefore giving women more opportunity (to make up for the supposed gap in opportunity)? I'm not an expert on this stuff but I was under the impression that's how it worked.
