1	The System is Broken Thanks for this. I can't tell you how many times this has crossed my mind. I'm on my 2nd lawyer and I've spoken with many others and, it seems to me, that family lawyers are all just a bunch of pushovers with the attitude of, "well, what are you gonna do?" I asked my lawyer on Tues, after my hearing, about filing contempt charges against my STBX and, my lawyer was like, "that doesn't really do anything". 2	Those of you who initiated a divorce, how did your wife take it? This is where the my STBX delusions came in. She claimed she was shocked. I begged for marital therapy for 10 years. She refused. When I threatened divorce last year, she said, "I'll only go if you promise not to leave me". Therapy was mostly a disaster. I did my best to get through the holidays, but I finally broke.
