When I was deep in red pill I only recognised traditionally masculine traits as masculine. It might sound contradictory, but ever since I dropped this notion of having to be the alpha male and be more true to myself nurturing caring compassionate I have felt more like a man than ever. While I’m not gay I’m definitely metrosexual and I look at acts of hyper-masculinity often as a mask of others hiding their true selves. Masculinity to me isn’t about how deep your voice is, how wide your back is, …

Yeah exactly it felt like betrayal and insecurities bubbled to the surface. I had the same experience with her with another guy before with her. Honestly I think in her mind she was already broken up with her boyfriend and between me the other guy and the “GQ guy” as people have coined him she was exploring other options. I’m not so sure as to her hinting for me to talk to other people because it was a mutual relationship, it wasn’t like I was chasing her all the time and she noticeably changed …

Hey, I feel like the whole control aspect of the situation has been blown out of proportion. By gave her the cold shoulder I mean I didn’t talk to her for the night which given the circumstances I feel was fair enough, should I have explained the situation to her absolutely. Was it about control never. I went to a single sex school so the idea of being alpha and dominant is engrained in me something of which I’m working on, so when she left with him it raised a lot of insecurity. I have changed …

Is being assertive in a situation like that where she disappears with another guy taking a step back and washing your hands of the situation?

Thank you for your response I am going to take bits and pieces like you said and use them going forward and try not to be dumb in the moment

Hey thank you, ironically enough I study Buddhism on and off I guess I wasn’t very zen in the moment. But due to Covid dating has been pretty slow for myself so I guess I should cut myself some slack. But you have put a lot of things in perspective that were lost to me!

Hey man unbelievable insight in this response, you’re totally right I have poor boundaries and it’s due to lack of options. I have changed some of the info on this story due to anonymity. I post semi regularly on Reddit but still paro about someone finding it . But I have in a situation where dating am has been extremely limited these last few years and so options have been few. I am quite particular about the kind of girl I go for to begin with as well so add that as an additional blocker. In r…

Honestly thank you and everyone who has responded to this post, I have engaged in therapy before but from a victim standpoint I realise now that there’s that element to it but there’s also an element of unhealthy attachment. I know this is down to trauma I faced as a child and losing both my parents but I never viewed myself as being potentially problematic.

I appreciate the feedback and I’m writing this in exredpill for a reason. I gave her the cold shoulder treatment not to punish her, I did it because I didn’t know how to communicate my feelings to her without feeling emasculated. I don’t assume just because I gave her my time and energy I deserve anything from her, it was a mutual exchange of time energy and effort and knowing how sensitive I am I didn’t come to that conclusion until other people started asking us about our relationship status t…

I appreciate that point of view, I’ve apologised and were still good friends. I don’t think her boyfriend would have been so understanding all the same.

Yeah absolutely, I definitely let my own insecurities get the better of me, and shouldn’t have taken them out on her in the form I did. I felt emasculated in conveying my feelings to her for the reason that I’m not in a relationship with her but felt a certain way and didn’t know what to do about it.

Thank you I’ll look into it, I have in the past but didn’t realise the grip red pill had on me at the time.

Hey, yeah it’s funny because I wouldn’t have considered either of them to be within the same realm other than being voices of different demographics of men. I guess not having a father figure has me using whatever I can get as a crutch. To know people feel this way about particularly Tate is reassuring! I will look into therapy thanks for your answer

Still with him but it’s coming soon. I’ve realised she’s not a great option to pursue with I’ve had some time to distance myself recently

She is in uni with me and in a long distance relationship with her boyfriend. In the time she spent with me in uni we were joined at the hip and engaged in about as much behaviour as you could without it being regarded as physical cheating. (Flirting, close contact etc.) It felt as though we were in the early stages of dating honestly, we’d see each other every day, she’d light up at the sight of me (other people told me this). I knew it was wrong at the time but it’s been a while since I’ve had…

I met her while she was in the process of ending things with her boyfriend and we had as intimate a relationship as you could count without it being considered cheating (at least from a physical perspective, it was definitely emotional cheating). I gave her my word i wouldn’t push the boundaries while she was in the situation she was in and she appreciated that. I don’t know if I am doing justice explaining myself but everyone from an outside perspective felt the same in that it looked like we w…

I’m 26 I’ve slept with 19, 20 year olds in my mid twenties. The majority of time I wouldn’t want to date them because of the maturity difference so I don’t think it necessarily is a marker of dating

I often hear about friends my age getting with older guys. So maybe it’s not necessarily status, etc, that’s super important as much as your ability to seduce women. (I don’t mean you particularly, just generally)

That refers to relationships and I’d imagine the primary reason for that is maturity

I think you’re projecting your experience as a generalisation for all men

I disagree, physical attraction is an important part of any relationship (or at least the majority) so if you see someone you are into and shoot your shot. Worst case you get rejected, best case it’s a partner for life. If you wait around for opportunities to arise organically you can be waiting a while.

This. I am 6 foot 3 with dog shit self esteem and can’t get a girlfriend. I work on self love every day through meditation. Whether or not you are worthy in the eyes of women starts with whether or not you are worthy in the eyes of yourself. Height doesn’t matter, and none of the other things red pill teaches - being alpha, owning a business etc. matter at all.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
