If you see honoring fathers on Father's Day and a small business attempting to grow while doing that as "problematic," take your capitalism hatred and daddy issues elsewhere.

It's a small business's effort to get their name out there while honoring fathers. As a small business owner with important men in my life, I appreciate both things.

I'm sorry your dad and you don't get along. These are threads for dads with good relationships with their families.

Fair enough. Some of it may be cultural. WASPs and black chicks seem to be more into tall guys.

It was a low effort joke, but among the women I know, it doesn't seem like it's the best and brightest fixating on height. As a woman, the traits I focused more on when selecting a life partner: 1) Kindness 2) Integrity 3) Facial attractiveness 4) Activity level/lifestyle 5) Similar interests 6) Sense of humor Some shallow stuff in there, but height? Yeah, that extra 6 inches is really going to save us from the natural predators of cavemen in 2019.

It's unlikely I'd be able to read that study if made medically available to me. I don't think a Jewish woman 3k years ago would be very literate.

It doesn't fix the issue. It just punishes men and continues the narrative men are bullies. One guy is a jerk, and you all get labeled evil racist rapists who high five and then low five each other after the rape ceremonies are complete.

From https://patch.com/illinois/crystallake/ajs-relatives-didnt-see-him-year-death : Andrew Freund Sr. told authorities Joann Cunningham killed their 5-year-old son, according to court documents. Authorities pressed Andrew Freund Sr. for more information after obtaining a video from Cunningham's phone from March…

Absolutely agree. But, this will sound harsh: I also think if a woman chooses to die, I don't think a judge should intervene. You want to die for a baby? Fine. Your body, your choice. There are cases of severe gestational BP issues where the fetus is viable, but it risks the mother's life. I can guess how most "feminists" would vote - Any mother who would lay down her life for her child is clearly insane, and should be a ward of the state. Ugh.
/r/MensRights18/05/19 06:03 PM

All good, and I hope if there's some kind of event, I hope it doesn't just show the victimization of men, but discusses some accomplishments as well.

I mostly agree; if I get pregnant, I had the choice not to. Like the father, I shouldn't get to kill people out of convenience. However, let's say I need a therapeutic abortion to live. It very rarely happens, but it does. It does take place in my body, and I shouldn't have a medical procedure forced on me, even if it's a stupid choice that will kill me. But the dad should be able to decline parental rights, just like the mom.

I don't really have an issue with someone telling the truth. I know a woman who molested/sexually tortured an infant, and still gets jobs babysitting. I wish I had a place to publish her name. However, if I did, I'd be the one in trouble

Abortion isn't about men's rights or women's rights. It's about the right of the embryo/fetus. The man and woman both have a moral duty to do the right thing. You don't kill people out of convenience, and you don't get to condemn someone to more suffering because it suits your political objective.

MAGA hats are not a symbol of hatred. I've only seen two types of people wear them IRL: 1) People wearing them ironically who didn't vote for Trump. 2) Literal children of conservative, egalitarian parents.

That's fair. Most of the women I know either are oblivious to international politics, or insanely liberal and have this rosy outlook that everything is like the West, and these poor oppressive shitholes just need lovely white saviours.

Men shouldn't be EXPECTED to act as cannon fodder, but if someone is moved to heroism, yes, I'm going to respect them for caring more about their fellow man (as in mankind, before I get snapped at) for the spirit of their compassion. Men also shouldn't be criticized. I'm going to start lobotomizing anyone who misuses the term "toxic masculinity." It's real. It's a problem. It's a societal dysfunction where men are made to be emotionally repressed and expected to be violent. The primary victims are men. Perpetuating the myth that there's a "rape culture" where men think rape is a dandy way of interacting with women is toxic masculinity. Arguably, toxic masculinity is perpetuated by women more often than men. Yes, women can and do engage in toxic masculinity. …

You'll get no argument out of me or any other mother of boys I know that the dominant method of teaching in primary school is ineffective, mislabels, and is harmful to boys, but there is nothing uniquely "motherly" about the model of listening of the absorbing classroom material and application, and the typical rote memorization in a classroom. If women's interactions prevent growth and healthy risk-taking in children and diminish joy in these tasks, that's pretty harmful. If a relationship is a…

You think learning isn't fun. Men normally value and enjoy learning at university level and beyond. STEM fields, which puts a greater value on analytical and tangible knowledge. Most men find learning enjoyable, and women lean toward less traditional/classic education. Jordan Peterson doesn't say that fathers don't punish their children. Fathers often have discipline pushed onto them. I agree dads are more often physically playful, but learning, playing music and games, swimming, riding horses, …

I don't think "fun" is a quantitative measurement. You can structure, guide, and teach someone to do a physically challenging activity. You implied mothers are just a bunch of fun-killing hens who peck their chicks to death. This study also says that mothers were likely to teach empathy, which contradicts your statement that it's typically something fathers do. Fathers are more likely to engage their children in boisterous physical play, but I'm really tired of the bullshit of "mommies nurture; …

Here's my thing about the whole "I hate MRAs/feminists" schtick. You really HATE the core ideology of a group of people based on gender identity having rights? Really? The idea of hating people who don't like being discriminated against based on gender identity is just so far outside of normal. I don't like radfems or incels, but I can't say I disagree with anyone who says men or women deserve equal rights.

I'm not male, nor generally angry as a default mood, and some people keep insisting I'm not white despite a vastly Caucasian background, but if someone said to me, "You're just an angry white male," my response would be this: "Why do you think I'm angry?" Sometimes in a fucked up place you have to do fucked up things. I worked in a women's prison, and if there was a security issue during count time, it meant ALL women had to get strip-searched. I listened to all of it, and oddly enough, when feminists bitch about snakes in the grass invading women's spaces and using their "wokeness" to virtue signal, this is the special kind of guy they're talking about. Right. Never mind that we have the highest standard of living in the West than ever. Unemployment in America is at its lowest in 40 years. So millennial men aren't poor, on average. If they're single and childless, that's their choice. See, people get this thing called autonomy that allows them to make choices. People are getting married less and having children less on average. Men should be able to decline parental rights without a fuss, no matter the situation.

Birth control fails. Just like a woman is still on the hook if a guy pokes holes in the condoms, a guy should still pay. No one can guarantee sex will not result in a baby.

Diversity does have value; no one should be denied entry because they don't "fit the mould." But diversity at the cost of quality is detrimental.

About 10% of women are born without one/tear it through sport. Myself included.

Interesting. As far as I can tell, it's now a bunch of average to nice-looking guys who feel uncomfortable around girls.

Well, I guess that's how capitalism works, innit? People pay what they think something is worth. It's the most fair economic system we have. Incel is more of a title a certain group of men gave themselves, though. I've never heard a woman call a man an incel. There's also no thing as an involuntary celibate. Or maybe I'm a dumb Stacy that just married a Chad and we just hang out with our Chad and Stacy friends. I dunno.

Yep, just like the whole "gender is a social construct" schlock. I just don't get why so many people get upset at "men are better at spacial intelligence/sports/whatever." Men and women are different, and that's good.

Sounds like cute boys thought of an easy way to make money. I don't see the problem. Good for cute boys. I'd do the same thing if I was a cute boy and not a middle-aged mom.

I think it should be disclosed in some instances, like contact sports. Having a male puberty and receiving a steady dose of estrogen is a huge benefit when it comes to bone density and muscle mass. Blaire White isn't a huge girl, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to fight her. Just a cis female opinion.

I'm sorry for what happened to him, but I hope he can still have a good relationship with his sons, and perhaps have a biological child with IVF. I believe the NHS will pay for this.

I don't have a penis, but I am very confident you have to clean them whether they're circumcised or not. I completely understand circumcision when there was a lack of clean water available, but we're privileged Westerners with running water. It just didn't make sense for our family or his body.

Uncircumcised son is being raised to hold the door for all people, including women and minorities, by white father. Send help! Same father is also teaching child to say please and thank you, code words from the patriarchy. Wat do? :O

That's very creepy and unhealthy. As a middle-aged mom, when I was in the hospital, I certainly appreciate how beautiful many of the young residents are. You don't secretly take a picture of someone like that. Whatever happened to telling someone they look nice?

Yes! Bet he spends a lot more time than 48 hours. ETA: And he should. And so should Tay'Lor.

Attempted voluntary manslaughter about covers it. She shows no remorse for the young teen's suffering.

Toxic masculinity is a frequently misused term. It actually refers to a societal concept that primarily victimizes men by forcing men to behave in a certain way. There was a lot of rabble around toxic masculinity during Desert Storm and how it had negatively impacted Vietnam vets. They hadn't been able to say, "I was really scared during the war," or, "It makes me sad when I think about the people I had to shoot." Toxic masculinity is real. It hurts men. It has nothing to do with a guy strutting…

I have difficulty believing many women actually care about height. When you get down to compatibility, things like fitness, intelligence, compassion, kindness, hobbies, and humor matter so much more that you're not going to have a good selection if you only allow guys from 6' to 6' 3" or whatever. Crazy.

Someone was theorizing that MTF trans kids are the result of parents' extreme attempts to control their sons' behaviors. Honestly, boys are easy if you give them two things: 1) A minimum of an hour of exercise a day starting at about a year old. 2) An age appropriate amount of mental/social stimulation. Just my very limited experience, though I admit, I may have a very easy kid.

I wasn't aware David's twin had also committed suicide. That's really awful.

John Money was a child abuser. You know he also made David Reimer's twin dry hump him for "science?" I've found a few trans SJWs try to "cite" Money like he's a legit scientist. Uh, no.

It makes me really sad as the mother of a very "butch" (?) boy that we can't embrace masculinity, even "little boy" masculinity of being adventurous, tough, brave, free-spirited, boisterous, etc. I mean, I can tell you from working with kids and being a mother that these are more often little boy traits than little girl traits. And I love little girls, and they're great, but boys need to be celebrated in their own right. It's always been important to me as the other of "that kind of" boy to esta…
