How do I become attractive if I'm ugly? Those terms are confusing in the same phrase. I try to become attractive or good-looking, but seeing the mirror makes me feel like the effort I put is in vain.

Do you know how to answer that question? I try to think of making money, or my personality or the things that make me "me". But that's irrelevant imo, and I find it as things easy to replace.

I didn't say that at all. Why do you mention it? In my experience and from what it concerns me, I can't feel good about my physical appearance because I'm not good-looking, or as good-looking as I want. I feel sometimes disappointed of what I look like even though looking my absolute best (fit clothes, haircut, skin, muscles...). Thus making me feel unconfident when it comes to dating, and I see other guys as better options as me, even if I get money and status.

To make it short, I can't feel good about the way I look because I don't look good, I'm average at best and the way my face looks bothers me often. The best I can do is making peace with it but it is hard after knowing and reading everything I have read so far, and that I can't really expect any results.

I don't feel good or sexy because I don't see a sexy man in the mirror. That's mostly why. I'm not gonna lie, I'd feel hot and handsome if a woman compliments me and makes me feel that way.

That's a question I would ask you. I don't find reasons to like myself in a physical way, if that's what you talk about. Besides feeling good with my physique, I have reasons in an "internal" way, like personality, kindness, and that stuff. But I just don't like the way my face looks, I find it ugly, and that stops me from "loving myself"

Well, I'm on my way. People notice I go to the gym, dress well and all that stuff, but I can't consider myself anything close to being attractive, and I also have the lack of success that kinda backs it up (+ the face that I can't change besides lowering face fat but I'm not fat at all and I don't like what I see).

I just don't think it is in any way attractive, I can't see myself in the mirror and say "I'm good-looking". I find it ugly. In the past, I was told I was ugly so that got stuck in my head even though I don't hear it from other people anymore. My face is pretty clean and doesn't have big flaws, but I don't like it at all, I'm average looking at best and I think that makes me angry.

That's a pretty good question, and I don't really have an answer right now for it. I'm not happy in any sense with how I look, even though I've been complimented by my physique. Maybe I'd feel sexy when I got some acceptation from the type of girl that I feel attracted to, but that would be relying on other people validation to feel confident.

I must admit it maye be overplayed, but then how do I cope or compensate that? I still see that it is a very important factor, and recently I have noticed that the average young male is taller than 5'9, so I may be considered below average even in that.

How can I address my insecurities with my looks even thought I dress correctly and go to the gym? I haven't seen any changes on how I see myself even after making physical progress (my face is still unattractive me while there are tons of way more attractive and taller men than me).
